Love her! Reallu helps alot. My writing is alot better because of her.

Even though the writing assignments can get overwhelming in her class, she is always there to help. I learned a great deal in her class. I took her for Comp II & Speech. My favorite part is that she always does a game for a warm-up excercise (& it makes the class a very comfortable environment to be in). Recommend her.

I learned a ton about writing. You have to follow writing steps but she explains them really well and it was interesting. I recomend this teacher.

This class includes a lot of writing but Mrs. Ohs helps you out a lot. You can write your essays as many tmes as you want to improve your grade and the quizzes are open book. You will do great in Comp II if you take this teacher - I did!

she is a good teacher. she doesnt give any homework other than writing papers which is mandatory with any comp 1 class. she doesn't grade hard. if you are nice to her she is nice to you. its a fun class lots of group work.

best comp teacher ever! loved this class! go, do the work, and you can pass. she is a really fun teacher and super easy to talk to. she was extremely helpful when it came to discussing essays. everyone should take this class. it's easy and fun

ALOT of group work! no homework just essays and quizzes. she really wants you to succeed plus our final is open book!! i would reccomend her for your first english class she really prepares you for higher classes

I dreaded taking this class but I took it last semester and it was cool. Not at all intimidating. Teacher is nice & approachable.

Mrs. Ohs is sooooo nice and her classes are fun but I also learned how to make three points in a speech and make a good intro and concl. You have to attend class but I always wanted to anyway.

So I had to take speech and someone said to take Ms. Ohs shes cool and fun. The class was better than I expected - you do 4 speeches - tell about yourself - teach using PPT - sell a product - give a toast. She helps you alot and I ended up more comfortable with speaking. I recomend this teacher.

Mrs. Ohs is the absolute best! I've taken her for Speech and Comp I. She's so much fun, everything you do is group work. You'll make a ton of friends, play lots of games, and have a blast! TAKE HER... you won't regret it! Everyone is sad when the semester is over because it's so much fun!

I didn't think I'd learn anything much at TCC so speech with Mrs. Ohs was a positive surprise. The class isn't super easy but I always looked forward to it and I definitely learned how to write and give a speech. Too bad she doesn't teach more upper level classes b/c I'd take her for them. All her notes are posted online.

I took Mrs. Ohs last semester and she is the best!! she explains things really well and makes the speech process fun. I know I will be able to do well on all my presentations in the future - especially PPT.

I want you to know that she is one of the best teachers I have ever had at TCC b/c she really cares and she tries to make all the lessons make sense and not be stupid. This was not an easy class. But mrs. ohs helped me a lot which helps. Don't be late and dont miss class - she does to much each class and you will miss to much to catch up. Mrs. Ohs sometimes snorts when she laughs!! haha. Despite that, She's one of the best college profs you could ever have. She will go out of her way to help you succeed in College and her class. attendance is a part of your grade, but class is tons of fun with this teacher!

If you are signing up for summer or fall classes I would recommend Mrs. Ohs. While not the easiest class, it was super fun and if you're at all scared to get up in front of ppl like I am don't worry b/c helps you not be nervous. This class was the best! Mrs. Ohs is creative, flexible, and determined (as you will find out)! If you have to take a speech class you will be glad you took her - I made some good friends in this class and I had to do the work but it was not imposible..

I am taking Mrs. Ohs this summer and this class is so much fun! I put off taking speech cause I was pettrified of getting up in front of people. But this class makes it doable - I wish I had taken Mrs. Ohs a LONG TIME AGO!!!

I took Mrs. Ohs for Speech this summer, and she was so awesome! Our whole class had such a good time, and she made us actually look forward to being there. You do not need a book at all, so don't waste your money. Two Thumbs up :)

I never thought public speaking was my thang but after taking Mrs. Ohs I found out I was good at it and now Im thinking I might actually persue this for my future. Mrs. Ohs helped me outside of class and wasn't an easy grader but somehow I really wanted to do the work. I improved a lot the first speech I got a C. The last speech I got an A.

This prof is what I wanted in a college class. This was NOT a blow off class. I learned how to write better and speak better from Mrs. Ohs. I worked hard but I wanted to. Class was fun and I made a couple great freinds. I wish this teacher taught Comp I or II.

My favorite class so far. Not easy - but everything I learned I will use in my future job. Teacher is fun and gives work back really fast and explains if you don't understand. This is a real college level class. Thanks Mrs. Ohs!

This is not a computer class but I learned how to do Powerpoint and how not to. Class was fun - teacher is positive and laughs a lot. I made some good friends. A lot of group ativities.

If you like to learn while playing games like Survivor, Pictionary, guesstures, then take this inst. The class can be a lot of work but she gives you time in the computer lab to work on speeches. And she'll help you if you want help.

It's not often that I say I look forward to going to a class, but this instructor is simply amazing. Fun and engaging activities at a level of learning I haven't seen at TCC before. If only more teachers could teach like her.

Great instructor! I was not looking forward to this class, but it ended up being my favorite class! Everyone in the class gets along great and Mrs. Ohs trys to make it as non-stressful and fun as possible. Easy grader, and very nice lady. I would definitely recommend her!

So we are working on a project made up of The Apprentice with Donald Trump - you have to make a product made out of styrofoam and sell it to yoru audience. It is so fun. Mrs. Ohs makes this corse so cool. Love the class

I never thought I could learn this much in a speech class. I most enjoyed learning how to do Powerpoint correctly and after a few speeches I wasn't as nervous. The group activity games Mrs. Ohs plays in class are fun to.

I had to take speech b/c its required and I waited till Fall semester of my last year to take it. I wish I had not waited b/c this was one of my favorite courses EVER. Mrs. Ohs is helpful and understanding AND she even wrote me a letter of recomendation!

Loved this class and I don't like to speak in front of people. Mrs. Ohs is a pretty easy grader and I learned more than what I expected to. My friends told me to take this teacher and I was not disapointed. Come to class - she counts off for missing.

Professor Ohs is absolutely wonderful! She does a great job of teaching the material and is always willing to help. As long as you attend class and complete the assignments you will do well. You'll always leave class smiling because of her funny stories, her crazy examples, or the life advice she gives you. So glad I took this class!

Phenomenal teacher!! I have great difficulty getting up and speaking, but she made it so easy! You actually take the time to learn about the other students you're learning with, so you feel very comfortable in class. This class was such a confidence boost!!

She is a great teacher who is there to help you learn. If you do the material and listen in class, you will get an A most likely. No final test, but she had review at the end of the year for bonus points. Loved her!

Its near the end of the semester and this is one class I will really miss. Mrs. Ohs makes this class fun and I made alot of new friends. Whouda thought there was so much to learn about giving a speech! I know I will be well prepared in my other classes thanks to what we did in this class.

Mrs. Ohs is an incredible teacher!! She works with you to make sure you have a good understanding of what it takes to be a great speaker. She made the class extremely enjoyable and relates well with her students. She's awesome!!!! I highly recommend her.

She's a great teacher! You have to earn your grade though. If you make sure you get to class ON TIME (You earn points that way) and do your assignments you will walk out of that class with a good grade. Would recommend.

This class is almost over for the summer and I'm actually sad. This is the first class I've taken at TCC where I really wanted to come to class and actually learned soemthing I know I can use in the future. Mrs. Ohs is nice and I recomend this class.

Take this teacher if you have dropped a speech class because you were not able to complete it before. Do not buy the book, we never used it. But definitely take this class.

Wasn't so sure about Mrs. Ohs at first, but I warmed up to her. She is a very entertaining lady. She made speech entertaining which is not an easy task. I just wish she taught more classes!

This class was SO much fun - espcially the games and group activities. I was worried about this class but it ended up being my favrite so far at TCC. You have to come to class and do all the work but if you do, you will learn how to SCORE a winning speech.

Mrs. Ohs is a wonderful teacher. I learned so much from her class that I will take with me forever. I also made tons of new friends. This isn't an easy class at all, but you'll get an A as long as you do all the assignments and actually try. Don't be afraid to ask her for help either.

Ending Spring Semester. This speech class is fun, there is lots of interaction with class members and interesting interactive games to help you learn how to get up in front of people and not freak out. We are having debates using the game Apples to Apples - very fun. I am working hard in this class but I want to. Reccommend.

She is an amazing COACH! she will explain 2 you why i said COACH! i recommend you take this class for speech!! Lot of interaction with the people in your class! amazing class! i made good friends out of her class! she hands out awards on the last day! AMAZING COACH! MUST TAKE!

She is passionate about teaching speech and will help as much as she can to lead you to the water, but it will be your job to drink. The best advice I can give for this class is to know your speeches well enough to recite them without any notes, they're worth a lot.

I allways try to take classes without havving to by the book - but this class you really need the book. Quizes are from the book chapters - and not to easy. Plan on doing alot of work to get a good grade. Class was fun. Made alot of new friends and teacher was nice.

This was my hardest class. Mrs. Ohs has high expectations. I worked so hard and in the end I got an A but I really had to work for it. Made some great friends in this class. Take this class if you have to take speech. You'll learn a lot more than you ever thought you could.

Professor Ohs teaches students tough material but yet it feels so easy. She is so smart and easy going that students want to do well. I was actually excited to give all the speeches. Just go to class and dont miss a class.

prof Ohs really cares about the students. several times after class I stayed and spoke with her about questions I had about my speech and she really helped me out. she also offered to write a letter of recomendation for me. prof ohs is all about the students!

Mrs. Ohs was fun to learn from. She was the perfect example that what she teaches actually will help me in the real world. The confidence that she commands at the front of the room makes people listen. Keeping the classroom atmosphere light yet informative, the tools she gave me will last a life time. I absolutely love her. She is beyond helpful. The only way to fail her class is to not try. Speech is a difficult class and experience but she helps make you feel comfortable. You will know all your classmates and you will not be afraid to speak out by the end of the semester. She is an amazing teacher and loves what she does! Highly recommended.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this class, but Mrs. Ohs REALLY made the class a great experience. Her energy, creativity, and helpfulness really made it a much more enjoyable class than I would have expected. It was still challenging, but I learned a TON. I wish my other professors could come half as close to making their classes as fun!

She is a great professor! Fun class. Some assignments to type. First speech is introducing yourself, second is informative TED speech you summarize with powerpoint, and 3rd is a group infomercial or creative game using a chapter you learned about. Lots of fun games throughout the semester to get you out of your shell.

If you have a problem with Mrs. Ohs, you have a problem with yourself. Best teacher you could ask for.

Mrs Ohs cares so much about all of her students. She goes above and beyond to help every single one of them. She's clear, precise and passionate about what she teaches. She spend quality time with everyone as a class so when you go up to give a speech, it's not as nerve wracking as you thought it would be. She's fun, bubbly, and a great teacher.
