She is fine teacher. not easy not hard. i would take her class again.

She's funny even on emails. I'm taking an online class with her on social media. There are a lot of reading but all are interesting.

My 1st semester of online I assumed we just did the work submitted it and that was it. Method of interacting daily and to pushing u to succeed & providing interesting extras outside of the book. I loved both her classes. She rewards u for hard work. I wish I could have her for any class. I was excited to do every assignment in the class.

She is a very great teacher. I really enjoyed her class. She is very helpful and understanding.She is an easy A if you do the work, and come to class.

MKT275 ELI course - material is very difficult with lots to get through. She assigns a lot of work, but is fair on grading. Helpful, responsive, and flexible if needed. I highly recommend Professor Barnsback. Her communication is good and she has a great understanding of content and sense of humor.

She is available to help by text, phone, and e-mail. Many writing assignments, outside readings, and videos. The textbook is hard to use as it is in British English, uses UK-specific examples, and vocab is not highlighted, which made studying hard. I used other websites to learn instead of the book. Do outstanding work to earn extra credit.

I loved my class with Professor Barnsback! She makes it fun and brings a lot of energy to class. Her examples are both interesting and relevant. She assigns two projects. I learned a lot doing both but learned different things through each; both reinforced what I was learning in class. She tells you what she wants (grade doing the work).

I would definitely take another marketing class with the Professor Barnsback. I like the way her materials were presented. I like the fact that she emphasizes and provides extra reading materials and that her assignments require some degree of creativity and thinking. The exams were in depth and covered the learned material very well.

If you want to learn about social media, sign up for this class. I thought I knew a lot because I used Twitter, but there is so much more. I'm surprised by some reviews. There are homework and exams but she is more than a fair grader and gives extra credit if you put in the effort. Exams are an easy A if you do the study guides and apply yourself.

Professor Barnsback is one of the best professors out there. People who rated her as a tough grader really bad are the people who expect to get A without doing anything. She is the most caring professor on this campus, she gives so many extensions! She is way to nice to be a professor. Great class! I wish I could take her again!!!!! LOVED IT!!!

She is an AMAZING teacher. Her lectures are very interesting. Shes very funny and inspirational. Her class is VERY fun. Professor Barnsback actually cares about her students, which is something you don't always see at a community college. Show up to class and you'll hear some good jokes and get a good grade.

I was a part of Prof. Barnsback's BUS 100 compressed summer course. She made the subject matter easy to learn, the coursework easy to complete and the schedule easy to follow, despite the short time-table for the class. I would take Barnsback again in a heartbeat, simply because of her straightforward teaching style and class structure.

Great prof. tries hard not to make it boring. follow her instruction and you get an easy A. she says you should buy the textbook which is like 180 dollars but you only need the access code that comes with it and the power points. HW is online and very easy. most of the tests are online and fairly easy.

I took her BUS100 class freshman year (I only said I took her marketing class because her business class wasn't an option). The class is always engaged whether it be answering questions or giving opinions on topics that you are going over in class. Very funny and very understanding. She will work with you and honestly just wants to see you succeed.

It was an easy chilled class. Very generous & understanding. NO textbook was required. All assignments are online. She gives a reasonable due date; all chapter assignments are due before the exams! The attendance are mandatory, but u can miss up to 4 classes to still earn participation points. She talks a lot for lectures, but useful!! take her!

( took BUS200) Really enjoyed her class. Attendance and part. points. Always responds to emails and she's so kind and caring. My only complaint is the tests are not great and are lengthy. If you put in work you get results. Will take again if given the choice.

I loved this her so much. I would tell everyone to take her class again. She cares so much about you understanding the information. She doesn't speed through subjects so you take a test at a certain date. The test dates are based on how the class feels about the subject. Amazing teacher, definitely take her in person.

Lynn Barnsback is probably the most amazing professor I have had at NOVA so far. She is funny, energetic, engaging, and doesn't just read off the slides. She is extremely fair with homework and tests, and if you study, you will do well. She will love you if you love her and absolutely hand down the best teacher you will ever have at NOVA.

I was worried about adjusting to college courses, especially in business & other more serious courses. Professor Barnsback has been extremely helpful, engaging & entertaining! Awesome teacher! this class is definitely a 5/5. If you are new to BUS you will definitely learn a generous amount of information, and you can always ask questions. This is my favorite class and I would take professor Barnsback again. She knows how to keep the classroom alive and gives great lectures. She is very knowledgeable and easily approachable. The class has a reasonable amount of homework and there are about 4 exams. This is a class you dont fall asleep in because Professor has a great charisma

The professor explains the concepts with real world examples. Made lectures enjoyable and easy to follow. The key to being successful in the course is not in learning the definitions and terms but focusing more on the concepts behind the terms and fully understanding them. I would, without a doubt, take a class taught by Professor Barnsback again.

This was my first semester at NOVA and to say that I got lucky to have her is an understatement. She's one of the best professors I've had in my college career. Had Mrs. Barnsback as my teacher for BUS 100 (Intro to Business). One of the best teachers I have had. Hilarious professor who keeps her lectures interesting. Tests are EASY, just do the homework. Only one project per semester. Show up to class and pass. Would have given her a 5 but she should probably keep her political opinions to herself :///

I really enjoyed this class. I learned a lot that was very useful, and it was remarkably easy. All you had to do was follow directions and turn things in and you'd get an A. The lectures were interesting because she shared lots of stories that helped you relate the material. She's very personable and cares a lot, if you care as well.

If you review the textbook learnsmarts along with paying attention you will do absolutely fine. You could only fail if you genuinely tried to not care at all.

Professor Barnsback is by far one of the best professors at NOVA! Keep in mind that BUS280 is a heavy content course. But, if you're willing to keep up with assignments and follow through presentations you will pass.

Extremely good professor in my opinion, very clear about subject matter and directions, and genuinely looks out for you. Just be responsible & complete everything by the due dates. Took this professor on the recommendation of another student and I'm glad I did! She is a subject matter expert in her field and puts enthusiasm and effort into teaching. Not an easy A, but not impossible either. You get what you put in. I was riding an A this entire semester, I am taking any classes she does for the rest of my time in NOVA.

She was a very fun professor but really challenged us. My only complaint was the critical thinking homework assignments, they were irrelevant to what was going to be in the exams and they were very harsh on points.

BUS 100 BUS 270 & BUS280 Has an in-depth & experienced understanding of business & how the course material relates to the real world. I found her lectures entertaining & effective. Incorporated relevant stories and examples demonstrating course material. Final exams for BUS100 and BUS280 aren't cumulative and she clearly emphasizes important info.

Class was so easy, only negative is that attendance counts. I missed a ton of class but still received a 96 as my final score. Exams count for a ton, do well on them. Other than that, just show up and raise your hand once in a while. She really just wants students to pass! Very accomodating. Also, the homework is so little its a joke!! hahah

Ms. B is the teacher you should take if you want to leave a class feeling ready for your degree. She teaches you how to construct so many REAL world applications that you feel prepared for the business world! Yes, it can be work heavy, but do everything in a timely manner and you'll be fine. No test! Just go, listen, and do your best!

Amazing teacher. Professor B really cares about the subject she's teaching and tries to make it exciting! She uses real world experience, either hers or someone she knows, to make things easier to understand. Make sure you participate in classroom discussions and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Took her for all 3 classes she teaches. She's a great prof, assigns a lot of work but is very caring towards her student and grades directly from the rubric. Gives a lot of feedback as well, great professor overall.

Test are worth 60% of your grade, but as long as you study and show up to class you will past. Her lectures are very informative and use real life examples to help understand concepts and really care about her students.

Attendance is mandatory, participation is also highly encouraged. If you put effort and do your work, you will do great in the class. Teaches useful information that will help in the future, and it can be very beneficial if you put the work in, for example putting together your Resume and LinkedIn. Lectures aren't boring and she's amazing! 10/10

I had Prof Barnsback for my BUS 270 and BUS 280 and both classes were great. Engaging lectures and appropriate projects and assignments.

Im not gonna lie I didn't attend class like that but when I did it was great. she always brings good energy to class and overall is a great teacher. p.s. she mentioned that if you take all three of her business classes (100,270,280) she give a reward

Professor Barnsback, she is a great teacher and really knows what she is teaching. I took her in person, I recommend to do so as well. To pass this class and actually learn a thing or two show up to class (in-person). As she is teaching the material she also provides real life examples that help you understand the material.

She's a good professor to take if you don't want a boring put-yourself-to-sleep lecture. I enjoyed her lectures a lot because she gives a lot of interesting examples and I would just suggest doing readings and quizzes before tests and you'll be fine. Homework assignments are easy and tests are all multiple choice. Would take her class again.

The professor has a good amount of homework. This is not an easy class, but if you ask for help she is there to help you. The professor likes feedback from the students. She gives extra credit as well. She makes the lectures as easy as she can to understand the terminology given. She expects cameras on and for the students to participate.

Professor Barnsback is a great person passionate about her job and she likes to talk about her personal experiences, but sometimes it does not help during the exams. she is always ready to help you if you email her. she judges every situation fairly. however, 4 in-class exams during the semester is unnecessary.

Professor Barnsback will work with you. If you put effort into her class she will go above and beyond to put you on the path of success. She provides clear cut study guides and conceptual cheat sheets for the 4 tests we took. Homework was very realistic and served as excellent study material for the students exams. No surprises. Taking her again.

Professor Barnsback is tremendous professor! No actual exams in the class but you're graded on high percentage assignments and projects that make up a large part of your grade. Overall a very beneficial course I recommend for all business majors to take to prepare you for success.

Overall a great course. Definitely a step up from BUS 100 as this course is more detailed on each topic you're taught. A couple of exams and a group project towards the end of the semester. I'll take Professor Barnsback for every course if I could! Attendance is MANDOTORY if you want to pass!

she's chill. she uses real life examples. just be aware of her attendance policy which states that if you have less than a 60% grade in attendance, she can fail you. she's done it to previous students apparently.

Professor Barnsback is really nice, she truly does her best to engage students and relate to them, homework is also easy. Tests are simple multiple choice and the questions never feel random, my class is a hybrid but even then material wasn't confusing at all. Just keep in mind that she doesn't accept late work or unexcused absences.

Very cool teacher! Our class wasn't the most talkative but she made jokes and cut the tension all the time. Content is very easy and she gives study guides that actually match the tests.
