She is awesome!!! If you want a teacher that can actually teach math and help you understand it, take her class! We have a weekly quiz and about 5 tests. Very easy though. Homework is not collected for a grade, however she does get the problems on the quiz from the hw. If you ever need help or extra credit, she is more than happy to help you!

The way she teaches STAT is a lot easier to understand. She has fun energy when lecturing any questions you may have are answered all you have to do is ask. The homework is due weekly while the tests are a little harder. I would encourage students to attend class everyday so you understand the material and don't get behind.

I feel sometimes she is easily distracted & manipulated by the students & I have a hard time concentrating. I want to learn and do well. I know that if I need help, she will. Overall I enjoy Lynn Brown's teaching. I am definitely not a "Math" student but I am learning from her.

We use WebAssign for homework, and sometimes it's hard to put in answers for webassign, but she's very understanding and let's us have more time on homework if we need it.

She is willing you help you if you ask for it. She loves her job and cares about how her students do. Definitely the teacher to take if you need to take college algebra.

Professor brown is a very helpful teacher, she gives in class assignments (so don't miss class!!!). The course in General is tough, she gives really good notes, however, sometimes notes and homework questions do not match. Tests are tough mostly problem solving with 1 or 2 truefalse question. I would highly recommend her for any MATH course.

Mrs. Brown wasn't like other math teachers I have had. She keeps everything relevant to today's time period. It is a tougher class, I am not a math wiz by any means. Teaches a little fast at times. Other than that I give her a B+.

Mrs. Brown made Elementary Statistics as easy as she could for us. She is very helpful and understanding. She allows an index card for her exams and she really cares to help you understand the material. She is hilarious and you're seriously missing out if you haven't had her! I wish she taught more classes!

This was my favorite class this semester by far because of Professor Brown. She helped out with any questions, very understanding, and make it very clear what would be on the test and exactly what we needed to know. She makes class fun and jokes around and overall I like the environment of the class.

Took college algebra in the 4 week summer class. Very challenging. Go to class, pay attention. She teaches at a fast pace especially in the Summer class. Absolutely hate math with a passion, she made it easier to understand. If you take a summer class make sure you don't miss even if you look down for a second you could have missed an entire section. One of the best teachers I've had! Classes aren't that big so you get one on one time with her if you need it. There's a lot of homework but if you pay attention in class you should be fine. I've taken and withdrawn from Elm. Stat twice because the speed of the classes were too fast and the graduate students teaching were either hard to understand or delivered too much information at once and did not teach in class. Her lectures and notes are more like her tests than the homework. She's always very helpful and willing to explain further. She is so funny, relatable, and easy to talk to. Have to study for tests though so make sure you understand everything in depth. She is awesome. Would take her again.

Don't be afraid to speak up in class, she will help you and if you are lucky she will call you up to the board to work out a problem and receive some extra credit. Would definitely take a class with her again. If you use the notes the class becomes 10x easier! Group work and homework will help off set a bad test grade.

Lynn is seriously the best. This was my second time taking stat and I'm so glad I took her this summer for the month of July2016. She has helped me understand stat in a way that I believe no other professor could. I highly reccommend taking her her tests can be a tad difficult but she provides you with material and personal help if needed to pass.

Lynn is the best professor I have ever had! I am terrible at math and was absolutely dreading this class at the beginning of the semester, but she made it one of my favorite classes! Not to mention, it was so easy! As long as you come to class and take notes you'll easily pass. Her tests are literally straight out of her notes. 10/10 recommend!
