No clear grading criteria. Tough grader. Helpless. Good luck.
If you cannot stand a professor with an annoying voice do NOT take this class
Attendance is mandatory. She covers so much material and only maybe 30% of it will be on a very difficult exam. She gives no clear grading instructions for the cases you have to do which are almost half of your final grade. This is the worst professor I have ever had. If you don't absolutely have to take her class, then don't!!
The voice is difficult to stand. The material is also incredibly boring.
Someone asked her if there would be a curve on the tests and she threatened to curve the grades against people and lower their grades so I gave her a 1 in the middle of the same class cause that's crazy.
I don't usually review professors, but it's ridiculous that our Exam 1 average was lower in MGMT 3000 than in any of my accounting classes. The class material isn't that difficult, and we shouldn't be having super low exam averages for an intro Terry core class. I think she means well, but there are a lot of things that need to be improved.
There's no way this class exam's should be harder than accounting. The first test average was a 74 and she does not curve which is ridiculous. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR. She is terrible. Her voice is annoying as well.
Awful Professor that I would never recommend. Average on the first test was a 75. She told us the test was not going to be hard and to just be familiar with your notes and the test was the exact opposite. Spent hours studying for this test but still did not do well. Very annoying teacher making what should be an easy class very difficult.
Do anything you can to take the other management professor. Avoid her at all cost. Class average on first test was 15 points lower for her class. Test was extremely hard and questions had multiple right answers. So hard to sit through her lectures as well
Do not take this professor at all. She does NOT teach towards the tests. The other professor guarantees you finish with an A. Ghude wants you to fail. she does not care for her students she just rambles during class and doesn't even finish the lecture slides. And you can't miss class or you won't hear the small details either. WORST CLASS EVER
HORRIBLE. DO NOT TAKE HER. SO BAD. Just no save yourself pls This is making me miss amanda farmer
Take the other professor. Guhde's tests are way harder than they should be, and she asks questions about things we've never seen before. It's very annoying to listen to her lectures, but she only shows the full notes in class so you have to go. She doesn't care about her students, and she won't curve our test when the highest class average was a 74
Lectures feel like a waste of time. She doesn't keep track of where we leave off on notes, and you can only get notes by going to class. Talks in circles and repeats the same things over and over again. First test was really unfairly written and had a near 20 point lower average than the other management professor. Avoid!
Guhde clearly exhibits behavior of a professor coming from a much easier university (Ogelthorpe) who equates UGA with needing to overcomplicate everything. Exams are poorly written and instructions are not clear for assignments. Hard to respect a MGMT professor who has done nothing but show me what to avoid in future managers
Incredibly boring lectures in which she continues to ramble with no clear direction. She then says that in class material is what is primarily on tests. Quizzes from book have nothing to do with book. Much harder, unclear tests than other professor with no practice problems available to study. Very little sympathy for students. Take other teacher
She overcomplicated a simple Terry prerequisite class. The other MGMT section had a significantly higher class average on their first test purely because Guhde does not provide any valuable studying materials and struggles to effectively teach the concepts. Really upsetting experience overall.
Absolutely horrible. My class got a 74 average on our first exam and the other class gets an average of 92. What should be an easy A+ has become my hardest class out of the terry core. All she does is ramble and it makes you question why you even wasted time coming into class and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard to make it that much worse.
She compares her classes way too much. Test scores average around a 74 for the entire semester. She wants to be friends with the students more than she wants to educate them.
This class is very lecture-heavy. I attend every class, actively listen and take detailed notes. Yet I still did poorly on my first exam. Our class average was 17 points lower than Professor Cannon's MGMT3000 class. What should be a straightforward class, Professor Guhde turned into a complex rant session. Avoid this professor at all costs.
It's professors like this that make me think paying to attend UGA is not worth it. Take this if you want to lower your GPA for no reason. Wondering why everyone's leaving reviews on the 22nd? Yeah we found out that the other class' average is 20 points higher.
Had Guhde last semester for another class. All the reviews for MGMT 3000 are relatable. Attendance Mandatory, does not curve, boring lectures, and unpredictably hard test. Her best way to study is "read the chapters 7 times over" To pass a class with Gudhe is to drop the class and take it with another professor. Seriously.
Other professor for MGMT 3000 grades homework off completion and not accuracy, doesn't make them do case studies, and had a 17 point higher test average. This is a required class and should be identical to each other. Not only does this professor do the exact opposite of the other professor, she doesn't give clear instructions on the case studies.
Took the leap of faith by taking her this semester over the other mgmt teacher, and as you can see by the other reviews I made a horrible mistake. She sucks and if you want to have some type of sanity during terry core don't take her.
This woman is awful, do not take her if you want to keep your GPA. Her voice will drive you nuts and she just expects you to read her mind half of the time. She comes from a small university and does not understand the class structure here at UGA and how classes are formatted. The class lecture format was very different from the Exam format.
Worst professor I've taken at UGA. Extremely poorly written exams and the most insufferable lectures. Take the other professor.
This professor is mind-numbing to listen to and absolutely insufferable. She has no empathy for students and chooses terrible wording exams as well as multiple good answers for questions for no apparent reason. Her voice is also impossible to bear and she seems to pride herself on making students unsuccessful - she reminds me of Dolores Umbridge.
LMAO she put up a poll question in class and she showed the correct answer... and realize a few seconds later that none of the answer choices she put up were correct. She is a mess!!! She better curve our grades at the end of the semester or else get ready for more influx of bad reviews
Biggest regret this semester is taking her. Exams are poorly written and meant to trick you. Lectures are hard to sit through, especially since she talks in circles. Her voice: nails on chalkboard. I have attended every class and still somehow bombed exam 1 even with the curve added bc we found out the other class had a 15+ higher average. Avoid.
Not sure why all the hate on this professor. She is definitely not bad. I never read the book but I attended every class and took notes and was able to get an A on the first exam. I am taking 15 credit hours this semester and being successful in her class has not been stressful at all. Really confused at all the hate. Definitely have had worse...
Why do we have an assignment due during spring break? Make sure to avoid Professor Guhde because all she does is read verbatim off a PowerPoint that comes straight from the textbook. Plus, her lectures are unbearable and the tests were significantly harder than the other classes.
I'm not sure why people hate this professor. She cannot help the way her voice sounds. She is very knowledgeable of Management and is a very intelligent woman. She is a fair grader and provides necessary adjustments/curves to exams when needed. I enjoy this class more than others and I feel like the people complaining are not doing well.
she was genuinely so insufferable.she doesn't make her own exams so there's typos and grammatical errors and they are NOT based on the powerpoint. she's rude. her online quizzes she also doesn't make and they are needlessly unclear. she refuses to give out good grades on the case reviews. its her first semester. hopefully also her last.
If you put in the work , study, come to class you will be FINE. Everyone complaining is either a transfer, thinks business would be easy or is "naturally smart" & thought they didn't need to put effort in! Here's the wake-up call. Tests are from slides and whats talked ab IN CLASS. Its not easy, but its 3000 management... its not supposed to be!!!
I enjoyed Dr. Guhde for MGMT 5830. This was easily the most difficult of the HR courses, but the challenge has been beneficial for my learning. Dr. Guhde may seem condescending at first but get to know her and she's actually a really nice person. Ask for feedback on assignments BEFORE they're due and she'll be happy to help you.
The tests are the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. It is like she wants to intentionally trick us. I don't understand her motivation behind this. It makes no sense. No matter how much you study, read the text book, and go to class, it remains impossible to answer the questions on the test. Please trust me here, don't take this professor.
Her exams are designed to trick you. Her lectures, while you need to go for notes, are annoying because sometimes there are lectures where she repeats the same material as the lecture before. Just do yourself a favor and not take her. This class is going to drop my GPA.
Dr. Guhde isn't bad... if you just pay attention in the lectures and do your assignments, you're fine. If you just do what you're supposed to she's really not bad. Class is interesting and we talk about cool stuff. I'd say take her class.
Dr. Guhde's lectures are not very entertaining and can get very draining to go to. She gives weekly homework that comes directly from the textbook but have very little correlation to the exams. My biggest concern is how she writes the exams. They seem to be purposely written to confuse students with what seem like multiple right answers.
The instructor's poor lectures and reused PowerPoint slides, without adding any insight, made attending class tedious. Exams had needlessly tricky wording, group projects were pointless, and homework was made difficult just to pad out the course. You could get by with her, but it's a slog and I would recommend taking anyone else.
Every time I went to class I felt like it was a complete waste of my time. Lectures were just her reading off the slide and her tests could be confusing. She makes concepts more difficult that they really are. Her homework is a lot of busy work that is hard to get good grades on. Take someone else if you can.
Me personally I hated it from the jump. I could not stay engaged for the life of me because we would go off topic so much that I figured it was better to just take notes from the textbook instead, since all she would do was read off the ppt.
Dr. Gudhe is an all around bad lecturer. I found myself unable to comprehend even basic material when she explained it. Her homework assignments are ridiculously hard and have nothing to do with the test material. She also heavily emphasizes group work on assignments that could have easily been individual. Do not take if you actually want to learn.
Tests are harder than they need to be, homework is not an easy 100 like you'd expect, and lectures are boring. Group projects are graded harshly and feedback is always, "Doesn't reference enough course material" or something along those lines. Guhde's voice is the worst thing about the course. Take another professor if you can.
I really don't understand the bad ratings for Guhde. Her voice is annoying but she grew on me the more the semester went on. Gives you lots of opportunities on home works, a few group projects, and tests aren't that hard. Honestly an easy B-A if you're an average student.
Literally take anyone else. Lectures are eye stabbingly boring. Exams are way more difficult than they need to be. Do yourself a favor and take the other professor.
The class average for our first test was a C while Cannons average was an A and she saw nothing wrong with this. She refused to changed it and actually threatened to curve our grades down. She finally changed them a few weeks later after multiple complaints were filed against her through Terry, but still makes her tests hard and doesn't curve them.
Worst Professor at UGA. Definitely avoid
Honestly not that bad. The tests are a bit more difficult than other mgmt classes but still easy if you pay attention. I skipped class at least once a week and as long as you read the book for what you missed, you will be fine. The group projects are also very easy and are a nice boost to your grade. Taking her class is not the end of the world.
Nothing personal against Guhde, but the last test this year felt very unfair. Many answer choices were extremely close in definition to each other and correct ones were arguably subjective. I really became frustrated with how unnecessarily hard test were. Would recommend finding a different MGMT3000 teacher.
I am not one to complain about professors, but she genuinely wants students to fail. Questions on the test were worded so poorly. On this final, no matter how well you knew the material, you could not succeed. On top of that, the other professor for this course is a free A, making it all the more frustrating
Man some of these reviews are way too cruel she's not bad she's sweet. Study material is not rigorous and she has ec at end of year. Hw answers can be tedious but you get 6 drops out of 16 hws. Exam qs can be subjective so have to know material very well not just by definition, but really if you actually apply yourself some this should be an A.
This class is not horrible overall, however, in comparison to the other management class, it is extremely hard. Our class averages were much lower and tests were much harder than the other classes. The tests are very subjective and sometimes worded in very subjective ways, but if you study hard and go to class you can usually get a good grade.
The tests were actually some of the hardest tests I have ever taken. Many of the test questions on the test were not written concisely and contained grammatical errors. She makes Homeworks due on Saturdays at 5pm and lets you miss 6 of them, which just practically baits you into forgetting to do them. Who makes HW due mid evening on a Saturday?
Guhde's tests and homeworks are what made it hard. The tests have unfair questions and ask you about such small things she spent like 2 seconds talking about in class. None of the tests were very consistent and your homeworks are based off of the textbook not off of her lectures. You can get through it but have to work way to hard for this class
Some of the test questions were confusing but her lectures come right from the textbook and if you spend some time memorizing the terms you'll do well. The other professors might be easier test-wise but this class isn't that hard if you know how to study for it. She's also very friendly if you have questions.
Dr. Guhde makes her class harder than other MGMT 3000 classes, but it's not the end of the world to get her. The average on the first test was bad which caused most of the 1s, but she curved it and gave extra credit later on. Try to avoid her, but you can do well if you take very detailed notes, memorize them, and take the case studies seriously.
Good professor. Participation isn't taken but you have to go to class to see the lectures, she doesn't post them. Doesn't curve. Grades on 4 tests, 3 group case studies, and best 10 out of 16 HWs. If you take notes in class you'll do ok, and study. You can have the potential to do really good if you can memorize good for tests.
From what I heard, the other mgmt 3000 professor's class was much easier and less time consuming, so try to avoid taking Guhde if possible. She does not post the notes, only bare outlines, so either go to class or know someone who does. Class is pretty easy, but lectures are boring and useless other than getting the info from the slides.
Professor Guhde was not bad in my opinion. You definitely have to study for the tests, but quizlet was a big help. The powerpoints are not posted, so you do have to go to class to fill in the notes.
i see a lot of last semester's posts have been deleted so i'll say it again - avoid her if possible. class time is wasted on hard to listen to tangents and the exams have tricky wording, but my biggest issue was the lack of respect i have for guhde. she was rude to students that would ask questions and cackled at any criticism she received
I have no idea why her reviews are so low. She is super nice and gives great feedback on projects if asked. The projects are annoying, but only if you have a bad group. Test are fairly straightforward and quizzes are straight from the textbook, but kind of nitpicky. Attendance is not mandatory, but she only post slide outlines.
I was kinda worried taking her class because of her ratings but I actually really enjoyed it. The quizzes are open note and I never read the textbook. The exams are solely based off her lectures. I thought she was really passionate about the course which made it more interesting and engaging.
She was very generous with the amount of homework dropped. Tests were based off lectures that were all extremly entertaining. She knew what she was talking about and applied all material to real world applications. Loved being in her class!
If you just write down what she has on the lecture slides and study that, you'll have a pretty easy time. Her slides on ELC are incomplete, so going to lecture is somewhat necessary. She is very lenient on homework grades, as she drops five of them. The group projects are annoying, but you don't need to invest a tremendous amount of time into them.
Past reviews on here scared me so bad, but her class was fine. I studied via flashcards a day or 2 before the exam and got a 99% overall. The textbook quizzes are manageable without reading. There is some groupwork, but she grades so easy. Her lecture can be boring no doubt, but if you have the class notes you are set 100%. I definitely recommend
The past reviews weren't indicative of my experience in the class. I rarely attended lecture and usually learned and studied the material the night before an exam. Her exams are very fair and straightforward. Just memorize what is mentioned in her ppts and you will get an A. The case studies are easy as well. Overall a good professor for management
Worst lecturer ever. Don't really know how she is still employed. Impossible to listen to
dont be fooled by previous reviews, she has restructured her course. tests are straightforward from the info on her powerpoints. You have to go to class to get the notes on her powerpoints but if you have them and study them, the tests are fine. her voice is mad annoying but fine class to take.
DO NOT TAKE HER AT ALL COSTS.
Easy chill class. The test questions come straight from her slides and lectures (a few questions weren't in slides but she did mention in class). Don't need to read textbook but useful. She talks a lot in her lectures and I love her voice. 3 exams, 3 group projects, and 15 weekly online chapter quizzes that you get 5 drops on.

She talks a lot in her lectures and I love her voice. 3 exams, 3 group projects, and 15 weekly online chapter quizzes that you get 5 drops on.
DO NOT TAKE HER! Her tests are awful and she makes it so much more difficult than the actual content it. Some of the test questions were on specific quotes that she mentioned once and all the answer choices were synonyms of eachother. Her lectures are boring and she goes on tangents about useless things. Worst of all she is rude to students.
Kind of goes off topic in lectures. The class is harder than other intro to management classes. She's also comes off rude to students who ask questions. She gives some extra credit to your overall grade.
Avoid Guhde! Her class lectures are dreadfully slow and inefficient, she doesn't speak clearly. All MGMT 3000 exams are vocab-heavy making it much harder to learn the content from a professor who devotes minimal effort to the class and whose voice is like listening to nails on a chalkboard for 50 mins every MWF.
Gives extra credit. Drops 5 of 15 quizzes. Voice is not as terrible as everyone says. Does go off on tangents in lectures but class was not horrible at all. Gives notes guidelines. She's never been rude, she's actually really sweet and likes audience participation but doesn't call on people. Other reviews are overdramatic.
Post powerpoints without the notes filled in, wastes class time on tangents, has INCREDIBLY hot takes to rile students up. The class was easy enough but she, and her voice, made it unbearable. She thinks she is quirky by being disrespectful which frequently makes class uncomfortable. Will not work with you to help you. Tests are unnecessarily hard
I was scared to take this class after reading the reviews but it wasn't bad. Lectures were boring but attendance isn't mandatory. You have to go to class to get the notes but I missed a lot and got ppl to send me their notes. Tests were easy. There are 3 group case studies that were easy. She also gives SO many opportunities for extra credit.
go to class or get notes from someone. tests are 50% definitional and 50% application. 60 questions, 50 minutes its almost like rapid fire. take either teacher, dont stress if you get stuck in this one..
The previous reviews scared me, but she has improved as a prof since her first semester. If you have the notes from the lecture slides and memorize them for the exams you'll do fine. The chapter quizzes from the textbook were a little annoying at times but she dropped 5 of them. The case studies were pretty easy. She offers a good bit extra credit!
She is really sweet and caring for her students. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. She offered 15 extra credit points to our total grade of 370. The questions for the exam come straight from her lectures which are pretty interesting. I asked her questions and if it seemed subjective she made sure there wasn't a Q on the exam.
Everyone leaves a bad review for mgmt 3000, but just trust and take her again you will end up liking her. The class itself is so straightforward compared to all the other upper division terry classes. All her classes are the exact same and straightforward not a lot of extra bs you have to do like other classes
she has bad reviews but she restructured her class and its much better now. the tests are fine, if you study the notes well you will do good. she offers a bunch of extra credit which is nice too
If your only option is to take her class, I would seriously considering your major or staying for an extra semester. Fyi, I usually never have any issues with professors, and I have performed pretty well for all of her exams. The moment I finished her final and walked out of her class I felt the pure joy rising in my heart.
If your only option is to take her class, I would seriously consider changing your major or staying for an extra semester. Noted, I rarely have any problems with my professors and have performed well on all of her exams. However the moment I finished her final and walked out of the classroom knowing its over, the pure joy filled my heart.
Don't take Guhde. That's all I have to say
Just an annoying person all around. Horribly stubborn, posts slides without the notes in them, and makes tests unnecessarily difficult. After a "cheating" incident, she decided to make tests where you can't go back and check your answer, because that totally works, it's not like I could still take pictures as I go along. Do not take this teacher.
Her class was not hard, but she is annoying. The final is very easy if you need to take it and she says everything that is on it the class period before. There is a textbook but I did not use it. Go to class or read the textbook you do not need to do both.
The classwork itself is not super hard, but Guhde is rude to students in class and wonders why no one wants to participate during class. She does a good job of reminding students about upcoming assignments, but the lectures are so hard to bear because of her voice that no one gets to hear the consistent reminders. Do not take her.
Take someone else. She's rude. Her voice gets annoying after a week or so. Can't go back a page on exam questions after some cheating incident a semester before. Easy class made hard.
She's horribly rude. She kind of reminds me of the librarian from Monster's U but maybe 10 years younger. Her grading policy makes it so that you cannot be rounded up. Also, her cut off for certain grades is strange. A 93-100% C+ 78-79.9% A- 90-92.9% C 73-77.9% B+ 88-89.9% C- 70-72.9% B 83-87.9% D 60-69.9% B- 80-82.9% F
I love how enthusiastic, passionate, and loud she was. Interactive, entertaining lectures: 1/3rd directly applicable test material, 1/3rd tangents on Peter Drucker/Elon Musk/questions/current events, 1/3rd chapter material. Quizzes were hard but 4/14 are dropped. Don't listen to the haters, they're just biased bc of her (at first) annoying voice.
The class itself is pretty easy. She posts partial powerpoints on elc so you have to go to class to get the full notes for what you'll be tested on, not everything was in the textbook. The assignments and group projects were easy. Tests were easy if you study your notes. Her voice is annoying. She LOVES peter drucker
Dr. Guhde is a very good option for MGMT 3000. As long as you have the lecture notes, you will do very well in the course.
Dr. Guhde is great! You need to go to class to get the notes, and I would recommend reading the textbook, but It's really not a difficult class. She was a good professor for MGMT 3000 despite other reviews!
I was worried about because I've seen a lot of bad rmp reviews about her, but she's alright. Just go to class, and decent notes and you should be fine.
Dr.Guhde has a lot of bad reviews but she is very funny and even has extra credit .Just go to class and get the notes and study for the exams and you will do great. The content from the exams is only from her slides and not the whole textbook which makes it easier. I recommend taking her!
Good person if you talk to her, but not a great professor and not a great class. All of MGMT is assigning terms at random to things you already intuitively understand, so if you wanna do well be ready to memorize. Tests come from "her lectures", not your textbook readings or quizzes, which makes no sense. Easy to do well, but hard to get an A.
I feel bad about the poor rating she has recited from other students. She definitely does not deserve this harsh of rating. She is very sweet and passionate about management, and if you go to class and study the notes, you will be fine for the tests.
Why she got so many bad reviews, she wants everyone to succeed in this class. Gives a lot of EC opportunity and if you go to class and take good notes, this class is breeze.
Dr. Guhde is a good choice here. She can be a little annoying, but I find her likeable most of the time. Her expectations are reasonable, and her lectures are pretty interesting to listen to. She doesn't just read off the slides like a lot of professors do. Have to show up to class to fill out incomplete slides.
Her lectures can be boring but she really is nice and does not deserve the harsh reviews. As long as you go to class or get the notes from someone you will be good. She offers a good amount of extra credit.
Professor Guhde doesn't deserve so many ratings of 1. She is very nice and likes to joke with students, I have found myself laughing every once in a while. Lectures can be really long and exhaustive - sometimes we only get through 3 slides. I think it's pretty easy to do well in her class, but have heard that other professors have easier tests.
Extremely easy class overall. However, the lectures are soooo boring and no one pays attention. Just study the PowerPoints and it'll be very easy. Also got a very annoying high pitch voice which I cannot stand during lecture.
this is the chillest class i have taken. her voice is fine, how is she supposed to control how high it is? she drags on in lecture a bit but you will get sufficient notes for exams, a good laugh, and an easy A. three group assignments with the same group, three mandatory exams, optional final, easy weekly quizzes, and up to 10 bonus points.
I have literally never left a review on rate my professor, but Guhdie is genuinly TERRIBLE. Her class was a true waste of time, energy, and money.
She is not as bad as the reviews make her out to be. If you get to know her, she's super sweet. The class is 3 tests and 3 group assignments, and all the tests are based on notes from class
She definitely needs to be fired. You learn absolutely nothing useful from her. She has never worked in the actual workforce and its evident. It's literally just theory that you will forget tomorrow. If your an honors student, just take the honors section its taught by better people
Very bad professor. Easy enough class but you will learn nothing. She has nothing insightful to say. Brings politics into lectures when not necessary. My least favorite professor at UGA.
She's not as bad as everyone makes her seem. Yeah the lectures can be a little boring, but if you show up and get the content you need its very easy to get a good grade. I think that her exams and grades were super fair and I think she was easier than the other professors (based off of what friends told me about their classes)
Dont listen to all the people saying shes terrible. This was the only class I attended all semester because info on her slides are on the exam and she doesnt post them so you have to attend or get them from someone who did. But besides that shes hilarious and a good professor, my favorite class so far. If you study the notes you will slay the exams
Prof isn't as mean/rude as everyone else says. She is quite a bit annoying and her lectures are boring and lengthy. The group assignments suck in general but aren't that hard (3). The exams are very easy (3) and the quizzes as well. Great opportunities for extra credit (really easy). Go to lecture to get notes. Overall not bad, endure her voice.
Prior to taking this class, I had low expectations based on other reviews. After taking the class, the rating does not reflect her as a professor. There are group projects, but they are not difficult or time consuming. Her exams are based off the lecture notes and were relatively easy. She was one of my better professors and I would take her again.
Nice teacher, fair class. She cares about her students and gives useful information in her lectures. Everyone is mad they dont do well when they skip every class. Dont listen to all the one star ratings
Course itself wasn't awful, content was insanely boring but that's not on her. Lectures were literally painful, she drones on about absolutely nothing, has weird political takes that have nothing to do with the content, and on top of it her voice is annoying. Def one of the worst/least effective profs I have had in Terry, but not all of UGA.
These reviews aren't a good reflection of the class. She is a good professor and cares about her students. The topic may not be super interesting but that's not her fault. As long as you go to class you should get an A
She is a great professor and truly cares about her students and the topic. There are a couple group assignments, three exams and one xtra credit opportunity. Also, you need to attend class to get the notes. Overall, a good MGMT elective
Not sure why people are hating, shes imo a good teacher. Makes class interesting and shows real world knowledge often. Class isnt hard and tests/assignments/online quizzes are extremely reasonable. If you put any effort into studying for exams they're super manageable, most questions are right out of the class slides.
Dr. Guhde isn't a bad professor overall, but she can sometimes go on very long tangents. Her exams are very reasonable, and as long as you study your slides forwards and backwards, you should get an A. She only posts partial notes, so you have to show up to class to get the completed ones. You get used to her voice. Really not that bad.
Her teaching is not very good. Goes on random tangents. Only need to go to class to get the fill in the blank slides. Good multi tasking opportunity
Go to class to get the notes, make a Quizlet out of the notes, you will get an A in this class. The group projects are so easy and I would watch movies during lectures. She is not the most engaging professor, but you will be fine in her class.
Professor Guhde is a very nice lady who obviously cares a lot about what she teaches. However, I found her lectures unengaging. It takes her about 20 minutes to get through each slide because she always rambles about random things. Some questions on tests include fill-in-the-blank direct quotes which I don't think is a great way to learn things.
Gotta go to class to get the notes, and does take a fair amount of studying. Worst part about this class is prolly the group projects.
Completely optional to go to class just have a friend give you the notes and study for an hour the night before the exam. I was that friend who went and she's nice and all but the class feels really useless along with her being a thinly veiled conservative and an Elon Musk fangirl.
Just take another Management professor. It's not that she's bad, but the other ones are better. Her tests are a lot harder than they need to be when other teachers have theirs online at home. Really drones on in lectures, just get a group and trade off days to go and swap notes. Class is doable, just not the one you want to be in.
Guhde is by far the best professor I've ever had. She cares and goes on funny tangents. I can't attest to her large lectures but she really excels in small, personal class settings. Her tests are straight from the lecture slides filled in during class and are easy multiple choice. Some extra credit. Others just hate putting in minimal effort.
Honestly thought she was great. Study the slides and you'll be fine. She also has a very lenient hw policy (you're allowed 5 skips), gives extra credit, and has three projects throughout the semester to help buffer your grade (along with the tests), and an optional final that's designed to be really easy
Very knowledgeable and you gain real-world knowledge from her classes. She excels in smaller classrooms, and I think she is misunderstood in her lecture classes. I know Guhde really well and she revises her material frequently if it isn't relevant anymore, students who know the material miss it, or she thinks a current topic is important to add.
I LOVE Professor Guhde. I have now had her for two HR electives and she is genuinely one of the kindest and most caring people I know. All she wants is for her students to come to class and participate and if you do that you are likely to succeed. She cares so much about the content she teaches and her student's success. Would highly recommend!
will go on rants but the class is easy. take notes on lecture slides, put it into a quizlet, and look at it a few times.
Tests were somewhat confusing as they were purely based on the slides yet she still made you purchase the textbook for the only purpose of taking quizzes through them. Very boring lectures in general. Just avoid her overall as there are so many better professors who won't make an intro level course harder than it should be
The class itself is very easy, but I got so fed up with the off-topic Elon fangirling that I had to stop attending this absolute time-waster of a class. Take this professor if you enjoy long-winded boring rants, unprompted political takes, and constantly being talked down to because she thinks she is better than everyone your age.
Professor Guhde's lectures were very boring and felt like a waste of time. Her tests were somewhat confusing and a lot harder than they needed to be. She spent a large amount of time discussing Elon Musk and Trump's management skills rather than teaching from company examples. Overall, I think there are easier professors who have take home exams.
Need an A? take her. if you want a good professor, go somewhere else. lectures are based on slides that you HAVE to go to class to fill in properly. put those into a Quizlet and you're guaranteed an A on exams. However, prepared for her to make jabs and insults about how you're “no fun” and “losers” for not wanting to riff at 9:30 am.
The only good thing about this class is the extra credit. Be ready for pointless lectures (goes off topic A LOT) and attendance is mandatory. Exams are all multiple choice; however, it is hard to study for them because some of the questions don't even make sense. This professor loves to talk about Elon and is a huge fan, so get ready for some fun!
In person tests have a lot of in class material. She takes forever to respond to emails. Other professor is all take home tests. Her ‘extra credit' requires an adult and their boss to participate in a bunch of surveys which isn't accessible for everyone. Overall easy class, she is just extremely annoying.
