I truly enjoyed her lectures. She was not boring!! I found her quizes and tests to be fairly easy. Easy "A" if you come to class and keep up with the reading. This topic in general is interestig, expecially if your a woman.

Can't stress enough how interesting this class is, even if you're a guy you'll enjoy it. It's not an easy A, you do have to work for it. Keep up with the reading and don't avoid the paper assignment. Most history classes are BORING but she makes this one fun. Her lectures are lively and her testing is very fair.

As a guy taking women's history I went into it a little iffy, but it turns out that Mrs. Hawley was awesome and I greatly appreciate the fact that because I was a guy,there was no bias against me. One of the best classes ever as far as learning goes. Mrs. Hawley is hilarious too.

She is so fun! There isnt any homework besides reading which is long, but not hard to understand. If you read the chapter you will pass the quizzes. Her lectures are very engaging and her tests are very easy. If you have a conversation with her outside of class, you may find that she is very nice, intelligent, interesting, and gregarious woman. Then again, she also presents herself that way in her lectures.

She can easily grab your attention man! she gives quizzes about every week. she doesnt give us paper homework because the only homework required for her students to do is read. she gave the class one written assignment to pass the class. no bad. grades based on quizzes and written assignment. Great teacher. Read the assignments, do the homework and you'll pass. She gives study guides before the test. No notes allowed during test. Must write a MLA paper in order to pass the class. The paper's easy, don't wait till last minute though. I hate history, but loved this class. It's all about women in history.

Took the class during the summer, lots of textbook reading, online quizzes and exams. Exams bit tricky with 4-5 short essay questions, my advice, prepare a few in advance (you'll have a general idea which topics she'll choose). One paper (interesting topic), not difficult at all. I thought the summer class was a bit rushed but doable. Got an A!

I have never had a HISTORY instructor that is so fun and exciting like her. She gives you a whole new perspective on history, while staying true to the events (i.e. the fact that she is a feminist does not skew or distor historical facts). Testing requires a lot of studying. Her lectures are enjoyable and insightful. A great instructor.

I'm currently taking Hawley for Summer Intercession 2010 and she's OKAY. Taking extremely good notes and really annotating the life out of your book is important as well. Her weekly exams are not that hard, but it's REALLY HARD to please her when it comes to writing (which is worth the most points in her grading.) Passionate, but overall JUST OKAY

Good instructor, but absolute unfair feminist guy hater. Did a side by side comparison with another female student in my class, and she got she got full points on her flimsy short answer sections on the exams. Ended up with a "B" in the class, cause Hawley gave me a "B" in everything. If your a guy, don't expect anything above a "B". Won't happen.

Although she is nice and easy to approach, she DOES HAVE a HIDDEN BIAS against MALES in her class. I literally new from the halfway point of Summer that I was not going to get an A. She always found something little to doc me on either on a test or her term paper and I am an ENG 1A, 1D, and 42A level writer. Do your BEST and you'll get WHATEVER.

She is cute, energetic and you can tell she loves what she does. Highly recommended. I can tell that are the students who are not willing to read the assigned pages that she gives. Just do everything she requests that you will do fine. If you read, weekly quizzes are easy. Just make sure you read the chapters and attend class.

She is a tough grader. Final project is required to pass worth 150 points i heard that about 80% of class got below 115. Couple got 97 or 92. She grades worse than an Engl 1D teacher. I had B+ all semester at the end I got C. Final paper grade is ridiculous nobody was satisfied with grade. Paper takes over 10 hours to finish.

Hawley is such a funny teacher, but a great one, too. The class isn't very hard at all. There is good amount of reading to be done, but it's all pretty interesting. I recommend this class and teacher to anyone.

She is such a great teacher. I took Women in History because it was a general ed class I needed to transfer. She made the class really interesting. I actually looked forward to each class. There is a research project that takes some time, but overall if you pay attention in class and take notes you should pass easily.

This teacher is wonderful. I am for sure getting an A in that class. All you have to do is the readings, quizzes and show up to class and you should do fine on the test, including the written part. The only things we have in the class are 3 test, approx 10 quizzes and 1 research paper. If anyone does horrible don't blame it on the teacher.

Lynn Hawley is class is the most interesting, and easiest History course. She takes pride in teaching students about how women have come a long way, test are easy she provides study guides only issue is the End of semester paper.

I took this class online - Professor Hawley kept the discussions focused and fun. I did not have a high interest in Women in History but enjoy history and needed some units so I tried it. It was one of the best classes I've had. There is work including a research paper but she is reasonable and helpful if you get stuck.

I loved this class. Professor Hawley is clearly passionate about her subject, and works to make you feel the same way. Two tests, some quizzes, one research paper, and a final. Work can challenging, but manageable; an A is possible if you attend lectures, do the reading, and study. Warning: do NOT take this class if you are not a good writer.

If you think Prof. Hawley demands grad work, you have not been to grad school. She is an excellent teacher who makes the material sparkle with her enthusiasm and depth of knowledge. I'm at a CSU now but her class remains my all-time favorite. She expects you to work for your grade, but the grade you earn is on you. She wants you succeed!

This was the best history class I have taken. We learn the events chronologically with specifics on women's history. Professor Hawley is always helpful and in a good mood, not the type of teacher to pick favorites and she always made class fun and hilarious, with strong focus on exactly what was going to be on the tests.

It was an honor and privilege to have been lucky enough to have her as a professor. Her lectures are engaging and lively, the homework is fun and interesting, and she is very clear and concise. Very understanding, helpful, and expects the best. A lot of reading, but not an overwhelming amount. I would definitely take her class again if I could.

I took Hawley's online class where we had to do 12 quizzes, #4 class chats, #5 class discussions, #2 essay papers, #1 two- part midterm and #1 three-part final. She's a tough grader but gives you opportunity to do over 60 points worth of various extra-credit assignments. You'll need a good reading comprehension and the text book is a must.

Don't take her class she will give u a C or D in both papers doesn't matter u passed English class with an A .she is a tough grader better not to take her she ruined my GPA only for 5 points. Lots of ex credit but I don't know how she count that it won't make ur grades better at all .beware of her !

Hawley's class is honestly the hardest class I've ever taken. She grades you off for anything and you must do some heavy reading. All the questions in her tests require answers that are easily missed in the textbook by the human eye. I will give this to her though, she reminds us and there's no reason for you to miss homework.

This was such an inspirational class and it inspired me to switch my major to political science. She was extremely helpful and would elaborate more on topics if you asked. The lectures were amazing and she is still my favorite professor and Delta. She changed my life. The class is easy if you do the homework and keep up on reading. DO NOT SLACK!

I can't express the amount of respect I have for this woman. Hawley is well organized, informative, and animated making the subject very interesting. Although she is a tough grader, she will always assist you on essays and reviews if you visit during her office hours. Plus, she emails the quiz questions a week prior to the quiz date.

Professor Hawleys History27 course was one of the best classes Ive taken so far. She sticks to her syllabus, so there are no surprises. Her lectures cover different subjects than the required textbook, but both lecture and textbook information is included in her exams. She is very knowledgeable and offers ample extra-credit opportunities.

Every week you have either a class discussion or assignment, as long as you follow the rubric youll get an A. Timed quiz each week (2 tries) and the midterm/final are questions from the quizzes. Very accommodating during COVID, really cares about students

This online course is very heavy on reading and notetaking. Take notes on every video imbedded in the chapters because they are on the quizzes and tests. Group discussions and assignments are easy. Provides all the materials you will need for them. Final exam is a lot of questions, so prepare for that. You will learn a lot.

Good professor, the class mainly centers on weekly module readings and a couple of videos spread out. Pretty reasonable workload and easy as long as you stay on top of the weekly discussions and quizzes.

Overall I thought the class was easy. Just wish there wasn't so much reading & homework,it was online and I feel like because there was a lot to do it was easy to miss things which is why my grade is a B and not an A. If u take the class I'm sure you'll pass but it's annoying all the homework & reading & will take time away from your other classes

You can tell when a professor cares about the work they do. Everything was easy to follow, comprehensive, and presented in engaging and interesting ways.

Professor Hawley is very organized, utilizes Canvas well, and is interactive. There is a lot of lecture and reading material, but it's all very interesting. She is passionate about the subject matter and the quality of the class is better for it.

Her lectures are super easy, and the class also goes by quickly, so you don't really get bored. She offers A LOTTTT of extra credit, so failing her class is just from laziness. Online portions like assignments are super easy, takes about 10 mins depending.

One of my favorite professors!! If you have the chance to take her, I fully recommend it!! She's very passionate about women's history and it's clear she loves her job. Her lectures are clear and to the point and it's really clear she wants everyone to succeed. There's a lot of reading and writing but it's so worth it! I learned a lot from her :)

Honestly a very great easy teacher. The only thing is that she has a lot of reading but besides that she is a great teacher and all her work is very easy just quizzes and discussion. She offers extra credit as well. I definitely recommend taking her class for an easy A !

great lectures, you can tell she loves what she does. READ THE MODULES,thats one thing that messed me up, i never took notes on modules only lectures, YOU WILL NEED NOTES FROM BOTH. tests arent hard as long as you take notes, everything open notes. shes really funny, and interacts well with students

I loved this professor. She was clear about grading criteria, very organized, understanding, and offered lots of extra credit. The lectures were interesting and helpful for exams. Keep up with the reading and you'll do fine. I'd definitely take another class with her!
