Lynn Howard is a very good teacher. I have always struggled with algebra so I was surprised to see that I was getting A's and B's in this class. I was suddenly understanding everything I always used to have trouble with. She goes over all of the notes very thoroughly in class, which really helped me out.

She is a great professor. Very straight forward, no B.S. lectures. I never had difficulty understanding any of the material. It is true that she doesn't let you use scrap paper on tests but I never needed it anyway. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would recommend it if you want to do well. Mymath lab is annoying but suck it up and just do it!

She's new to Valencia & if you're thinking of taking her for stats, I'd recommend. Always available in office for questions, she's fun and enthusiastic about math. Tests are fair & based on topics covered.Emails PP slides for each chapter & asks students to keep a journal on a topic of interest eg sport,science, education, finance etc Great teacher

The Professor is great! SHe always makes sure everyone is keeping up and she constantly stops to see if anyone has questions. She will go back to anything that someone wants to review. She has a great teaching method!

Allows a double-sidded note card for every test! and a full sheet of paper for all the notes/formulas you need for the final! She makes it hard to fail as long as you turn up and listen to what is on the test! review go over what to expect on the test! I would take her again if she taught other higher level math classes. friendly and easy going.

Prof. Howard is a fair teacher. She provides powerpoint notes for each chapter and her tests are somewhat hard, the only way to get through them is if you really studied. She makes sure that every student in the class understands the material for each lesson.

The first day I was not all that hyped about Professor Howard but I was clearly wrong. She is the most enthusiastic math professor, which makes the class very interesting. Math has always been my weakness, but I passed this class on the first attempt! Although I earned a C, she will do her best to make sure that you earn the highest grade possibe.

She was helpful and always was available for help during office time.

Prof. Howard is awesome. She is vary helpful and clear about her expectations. Reviews before exams. If you study hard, A is possible. She is very dedicated and cares about her students. I loved her.

Her tests are extremely difficult. I studied like crazy for her tests, felt comfortable after doing all the homework, but on the test, I felt like I didn't know much about it. She want to see all the work on the test, even calculator strokes, and the format was different from homework and class activities. Very frustrating.

prof Howard is there to help but trig is a lot of work. Her lectures are clear and that helps with trig. good reviews before test but you have to show your work. it has helped me with calculus.

Professor Howard is a very great teacher, she is very helpful if you go to her and tell her what is going on. At first I thought she was horrible and unreasonable, but in truth she is very understanding & was willing to help me pass. Her tests aren't hard, she just uses intermediate problems instead of easy and hard problems.

Ms. Howard is a teacher that is willing to help you if you tell her what problems that you are having in class. Even though she is willing to help, I still would never take her again. I almost ruined my gpa because she won't say that she uses problems for her test out of the textbook. We never used the textbook in class so I would never have known.

Only take if you have to. Statistics is lot of word problem. But if you have to take then Professor Howard is GREAT teacher! She make class with fun activity alot. She is very clear to understand. She lets you use calculator. But be prepare because she make you participate in class.

I was worried when I took statistics and I found many students repeating the course. However, Professor Howard made it so easy for me to understand and enjoy the class. She provides clear notes ahead of every chapter that she goes over during lectures. She gives many examples and try to engage all the students. She is a great teacher.

I took Statistics with Ms Howard then I took her for Trigonometry because I really liked the way she teaches. She makes hard concepts much simpler to understand. If you do your HW and go to class you would pass it with no problems. I enjoyed both classes with Ms Howard and I'm sure you would if you take this teacher.

She is an amazing professor for stats! She does power points as lectures and prints out a copy of them for each chapter and gives it to you. She makes sure you understand everything before moving on, and goes over it multiple times. Expect to do online homework through my math lab, if you do not do it do not expect to pass.

I just finished Prof Howard's 6 week hybrid summer course and LOVED it. She is very clear about expectations, has awesome powerpoints for the class, and always makes sure everyone in the class is keeping up before moving on. Very funny, great energy that keeps you focused and interested in lectures. Definitely recommend taking her class!

Amazingly FUN Lectures. She's crazy funny! Tests are a pain but if you pay attention in class and make sure you do it the way she says you can pass easy. Getting an A is not easy, but I'm getting a B easy not that class should be easy, but you know what I mean. Take her for stats she's GOOD and you will learn.

Tests are hard if u miss class but if u go to class u can do ok and her grading is good because if u do bad on a test u can still pass if u do good on the homework. Calculus is hard, but Prof. Howard makes it do-able.

Her lectures are always so helpful and she is always willing to go over something if you still don't understand it. She is very enthusiastic about teaching the material to us. She want's us to succeed and understand the material, so she does everything she can to help. If i had the chance i would take her again in a heartbeat!

Hard work! Tough class! I have to admit though I learned ALOT!! If you want an easy grade or you don't have time to put in for lots of homework then don't take it, but if you want to learn and be prepared for future classes, TAKE IT! Professor Howard is very fair, but you will not pass if you don't know what you are doing. Some people dropped out.

Best math teacher I've ever had! Clear instruction and always willing to go over any questions that her students have. Homework is a must and helps with your grade if you're struggling. Gives partial credit on tests if you show your work. I highly recommend her for statistics.

Very good ONLINE class. Prof is fast at answering questions in Email. Prof puts up videos to help which are GREAT! But you have to do a lot by yourself to learn by yourself. Lots of homework. Do it tho. Final exam long but not too bad, but she makes you go to campus for it which sucks but the rest of the tests you can do at home.

Professor Howard answers questions until you get it. She will even stay after class with you to explain if you need it. She teaches from powerpoints you can print off, then puts examples up for you to do and goes over them on the board. Homework is online and 20% of the grade-do it! Tests are show your work but not bad, she gives partial credit.

Prof. Howard truly cares about her students and gives as much of her time as you need. She is tough in the best way possible cuz she wants EVERYONE to succeed. Her class is structured so you'll do really well if you put in the work and attend lecture. Lectures are always entertaining and easy to follow. Participate! Amazing person and teacher.

Ignore the last two reviews, people are way too sensitive nowadays. Prof. Howard is good, she actually tries to help you if you tend to struggle with math. She can be a bit loud and preachy but it's not that bad. Just go to class, do all your homeworks and you'll be fine. Avoid her if you are sensitive.

Professor Howard was a great professor. If you complete the Weekly homework and quiz in MyMathLab, then you'll definitely pass. Just make sure to watch the videos she posts, they're great!

The professor posts videos with a lot of examples. If you have time to watch them all it's good, but don't get behind or you won't catch up. Tests are not easy. She makes you show your work and if you memorize things she marks it wrong - annoying! But if you watch the videos then you know how to do what she wants.

The class was hard online to learn on my own, but the professor was great when I went to her office. I wish I took it face to face. She had videos online that showed review problems for the test, she makes you show your work, but the videos show you how she wants it. Take it from her in a real classroom if you can - online is a little hard.

Algebra is difficult but this teacher can explain it and actually teaches! Not like some who just give you problems and don't teach. Sometimes she is too fast but when I asked questions she answered them in class or right after class. She's not that easy, but she will make you learn it so if you need to know it for more classes take her!

I take Stats online with Prof. Howard. She is very engaging and clear with everything, and always responds to my canvas msgs within 10 minutes!! Lots of discussions for each chapter and hw for each section. Material is easy to understand. Just have to stay on top of everything.

Ms. Howard is very fast paced. She knows she can go a little too fast sometimes, so she is always telling people to ask question if they don't understand and she ALWAYS answers. The tests are not very easy, if need to remember formulas because she does't give them on the test.

I took Professor Howard online over the summer 8-week course. She was great. She gave great videos before every chapter that you can find on youtube. She is great at explaining and making sure you understand. She responds to emails fast and really wants you to understand. As long as you are doing your part at studying. You should pass.

Unusual professor, she makes you write out your answers on online tests. At first I thought oh no, but she gives really clear helpful videos. So many helpful videos, I didn't need the book to pass this required trig class. Watch the videos and you will pass the class.

I last minute enrolled in her class 2 days before it started for an accelerated 10 week class and I am so glad that I did. She doesn't accept late work but is very clear on this from day 1 and is clear on expectations. As long as you make an effort and do the work, you can easily get an A or B. I am not a math person - but highly recommend her!

Ms. Howard takes difficult math and and uses real world examples which helped me learn. Uses Mymathlab. There is a lot of it but it is doable. But don't get behind because she won't take late work. If you ask before something is due you can sometimes get an extension. Like when I got covid I had to ask.

The professor made statistics understandable by using real world examples and my math lab. I wish I would have had her the 1st time I took stat, it would have made more sense. Its a difficult subject but she made it understandable for a math phobe like me. I would recomend her.

If you want to pass tests, go to class to learn how she wants you to show the work her way. She will also answer questions outside of class in Zoom.

I was sacred to take a stat class, but the prof gives fun lectures on what really happens in life. And I ended up doing good in the class. Tests and homework are online. There is a lot of work, but it's not hard if you go to class. You do need the calculator.

This was a great mixed mode Statistics class. I learned how statistics helps in situations that I can relate to. The instructor has an easy to understand teaching style and is energetic. Fantastic professor.

I took the mixed mode class but participation does matter. There are example videos online that help. Our textbook is online. Stat would be hard to take completely online but this mixed mode class made it doable.

Professor gives a lot of homework, but she does explain things in class pretty good. Her final test was very long and not enough time to finish, but I took this class as a mixed mode and the test was online. Overall, I would take another class with professors Howard.
