Dr. McFarland is a very kind lady that is very passionate about what she teaches; however, exams are very difficult. I studied more than I usually do for all exams and still couldn't pull my regular test scores. The short answer are graded very harshly and make up 50% of the exams. With that being said, she is very accommodating and accessible.

Prof. Mcfarland loves her topic and cares about her students! Her lectures are pretty interactive and helps you stay focused. Not a lot of assignments and exams are pretty straight forward. She also gives amazing feedback and is really quick to respond to emails and help students.

Dr. McFarland is one of the best professors I've had at USC. She's funny and her lectures are engaging, and we play Kahoot after every couple units. Even though I wasn't interested in the material, I still looked forward to going to class. The class is also super easy as long as you take notes and review before tests. I would recommend her 100%.

She's an amazing professor that brings life to what could easily be a silent class. Even though the material alone doesn't last a class period, she encourages discussion to bring up examples you can and should use on exam short answer questions. Her tangents always circle back to being directly relevant to the material, and she brings life to DMSB!

She's very nice but she's not the professor for me. The exams were easy if you studied a little bit (mostly memorization). The group project seemed unnecessary and was a pain. Overall, not a bad class you just have to show up and do the occasional participation activities.

She does not take attendance but she does pop quizzes for 25% of your grade and she picks the worst times to have them (one time we had one the first day back from fall break). She also gets off topic easily. The exam are straightforward so as long as you pay attention you should be fine

I really liked her as a lecturer and she gave good insights on all the topics that she taught. She gave pop quizzes from time to time but they were pretty straightforward as long as you paid attention. I would recommend her!

Prof. McFarland is a great teacher and super sweet, it's a boring class and it sometimes feels like she's talking forever, but there is no homework and the quizzes are super easy for it being 25% of the grade. it's a straightforward class and she doesn't give any extra work outside of class.

Prof. McFarland is a great lady. She is so sweet and giggly. I really enjoyed her lectures, and she gave lots of real life examples which made the class not boring. Attendance is not required but she does do pop quizzes which are worth 25% of your grade, but there are very easy and they're on the content learned during the same lecture.

Class is pretty easy. She does pop-quizzes for attendance, but they always were pretty easy. The exams also are exactly like the lectures and are easy. Probably the best professor for this class.

8 pop quizzes, but your lowest 3 are dropped. Very test heavy, but no homework and LOTS of extra credit. Very knowledgeable in her field and enjoys what she teaches, highly recommend taking her.

Easy class- 8 quizzes but only takes the top 5 for your grade. 3 exams, no final. Very lecture heavy and boring, but she posts the notes and there's no homework. Her voice is very high pitched and irritating, but she means well and gives a lot of extra credit

shes really great and she will explicitly tell you what is on the tests and quizzes. she provides a lot of opportunity for extra credit. you have to try really hard to not do well in the class. she shares her presentations which is great for studying. go to class and take notes-- you'll be fine. management as a subject itself is just hard to enjoy

Dr. McFarland was great, I found the lectures to be interesting because she has a sense of humor and related lots of the topics to her personal experience. She tells you during the lectures what will be on exams so as long as you show up and spend a day or so studying you'll do good.

Her tests were easy and she is genuinely fun to listen to. there were three tests (final is not cumulative) and she took your five highest grades from 8 unannounced pop quizzes which were easy if you briefly read over the lectures powerpoint slides

RECCOMEND! Loved her she was so positive and cared a lot. The one thing is that attendance is not required but you have random pop quizzes so you pretty much have to go each time. This class wasn't hard but was a lot of info. Also, sometimes the quizzes would mostly be on stuff we learned just that class so it was hard to get A's on most of them.

She handled a large lecture hall well and was engaging, especially for more introductory content. There were 8 pop quizzes that were easy to do well on if you paid attention in class, and were mainly an attendance check. The course grade was based on three exams and the pop quizzes, but the exams were fair and aligned closely with the lectures.
