She is okay. Not the best a grammer and often does not have the answers to some of your questions. Can be boring at times. Has many pop quizzes. She's not too bad though.

After first exam, 1/3 of the class dropped. exam's straight from notes. Some questions are tricky on quizzes and notes. Not too bad though.

Very easy class if you go and take notes. All notes are on web and labs are so easy. Very nice teacher and is very willing to help if you ask.

I enjoy her method of teaching, where the students print out the lecture outlines and take notes on them in class. The quizzes are simple and tests are fairly easy if you study straight from the review sheets and notes you take. Moves somewhat quickly.

teaches like a kindegarten teacher... just print notes and come to class. Labs and quizzes are really easy and fun, tests are hard but manageable.

easiest prof ever. Jessica Hill (the TA) makes it all worthwhile, I'd have learned nothing without her. Middleton is easy and tends not to know much beyond her notes, but you learn what you need to for 110.

Professor Middleton is a very nice lady. She has outlines for lecture on Blackboard. There is weekly quizzes in lab and pop quizzes in lecture. As long as you know the study guides inside and out you'll be fine for the exams.

Not a hard class if you study the outlines before the test. Go to seminars for extra credit.

She's great!! Writes notes with you on screen on prepared lecture outlines. Just have to study and you'll do fine. NO lab write ups.

Shes a nice lady, however she moves a little fast. She gives you an outline to keep notes on, which is nice. The tests are sooo hard, you can study for hours upon hours and still get a C! Typicaly the tests require you studying 30 or so pages of writen notes- dont take her if you need a good grade.

EASIER THEN HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY. THIS CLASS IS ONE OF THE EASIEST BIOLOGY CLASSES YOU WILL EVER TAKE. HER TEST ARE VERY EASY ESPECIALLY IF YOU STUDY. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PAY ATTENTION. LABS ARE TO EASY AND THE QUIZZES ARE EASY TO. YOU WOULD BE FOOL NOT TO TAKE HER AND PASS THIS CLASS.

You'll get an A if you go to class. Gives quiz & test outlines, easy class assignments,posts outlines for lectures, no lab write-ups, EASY tests. Tests sometimes cover things in lecture that arent in text, as long as you go to class you'll do FINE!

really nice but her quizzes and tests are really hard. make sure you know her outlines word for word. if u do, then ull do fine. labs are fun and easy.

She is a wonderful professor. If you follow the outlines, and ask questions if you don't understand something, you will do fine. I would suggest studying your notes the day you take them, so it sticks in your head. She also gives pop, quizes, so that helps.

I really enjoyed this class and it reminded me of how much of a bio nerd i am at heart!She provides great online outines of notes and study guides which make it impossible to get bad grades (as long as you study) and the tests are not that difficult. I would recommend this class to anyone.

This class wasn't as diffucult as some say. She gives you an outline of notes and the tests and quizzes come from these notes. If you are willing to go to class and study for the tests than you can get an A. Labs aren't that bad. She is a very nice lady. Take her if you can!

The person below must not have a brain. Prof. Middleton is very helpful and yes you do have to study. It is not an easy A, but if you come to class, take notes, and study for the tests and quizzes, you will do great! Def. take her if you want to learn!

The sweetest lady. She gives you lecture outlines which you fill out in class AND she gives you study guides that come right from the outlines. VERY EASY. Her lab wasn't hard AT ALL. The tests are alright. But I never read, I just did the study guide and still got a B. Definitely take this class.

ok, let me just say this is the first class that I have ever gotten a D in.....I mean don't get me wrong she is a wonderful prof. but demands too much for an intro class.....honestly I know I could have done a little better, but still it was too much for an intro.

Very nice teacher and helpful! Gives outlines for each lecture and study guides for each test based from the outlines. Lab is easy and her tests are too, highly recommend if you were never good in bio!

Very nice and very helpful. Her tests and lab quizzes can be challenging, but if you GO TO CLASS and study a little beforehand, you'll be fine.

Its not an easy A. You have to take notes during the lectures and it definitley helps to read. Take it online. It means less time in class and you still learn everything. Shes a good teacher and the exams are right from the info. she gives you. Shes really nice and not very strict about things either.

The class would be easy if it was the only class you were taking. It requires a lot of your time! Do not miss any labs and stay on top of the lectures if you are taking an online class. If you are a on-hands visual learner, do not take online. Make sure to buy the book for backup. I would have taken another gen-ed class if I had to do it again.

really nice teacher.... as long as you attend all of the lectures and labs and use the outlines she provides for notes it's a pretty easy A.... she gives a lot of in-class graded assignments so attendance is mandatory... i never opened the book, if you have a basic understanding of biology you don't need it.

She is a great professor. Tests are hard, but she gives you review sheets to study from. If you need help, she is more then willing to help you. Print out the outlines and take notes from them, its easier to study from. Labs for the most part were fun, and you usually get out early. If you get the notes from the classes and study, you'll do fine!

She is a really good professor. Her notes are very understandable, if u study for the tests you will get atleast a B. Attendance is mandatory

Awesome teacher! Extremely nice and helpful. Wants you to do well. I had her while retaking Bio and my grade went from a D with Prof. Bruce my fresh. yr to a B+ (almost an A-) my soph yr. Clear, orderly lectures. Hard class, but it's not supposed to be easy! Go to class, listen, and study! I wouldn't recommend another teacher for this class.

it def. is not an easy class...it requires alot of work but she was very nice and her lectures were very helpful. i looked forward to the class. tests or quizzes almost every class. labs are fun. show up and do the work and youll do fine, but you absolutely have to do the reading and work as well as participate. the tests arent too bad if you study

This class was a hard class no doubt, but for a pretty tough concept, she helps you understand everything. Attendance is a must and you won't get out of class early. She's nice and made the class fun. Her teaching techniques are good. I learned a lot in that class and I actually remember it thanks to her. I definately reccommend taking her.

i don't know what everyone's talking about, i got an a in her class. all you have to do is do what she tells you to do. i didnt even buy the book-i borrowed my friends twice-which wasn't even necesary...she so nice, her lectures are clear, gives you a study guide. what you put into this class is definitly what you'll get out of it. Take her!

She has a great personality, but if you need help you are best to go to the tutoring sessions. tests are very hard but that is with any bio teacher. I fell like she goes really fast when she is teaching. Study hard for the tests and go to the reviews it is the only way to pass them. Also, read the book and don't miss class. Overall she is good

Prof. Middleton is an excellent teacher, intelligent, and very helpful. BIO 190 is obviously a tough course but I can assure you she provides everything one needs to succeed. Lazy people are going to complain about her but trust me, BEST BIO TEACHER I have had thus far. lecture outlines and study guides are provided, everything is on blackboard...

Don't listen to the negative comments about her. She's great! I'll admit, you do really have to study for the tests, be ready for pop quizzes, and study for the final, but it's worth it. I got 1 B and 4 D's on tests, did well on quizzes and labs, and got a B on the final and still did well in the class. (I got a B overall) You gotta put effort!

good teacher, but the class is hard and her tests are. you MUST work and spend time studying. do the reviews and go to office hours, ask questions and don't be afraid of her. she's the devil if you let her be. quizzes arent that bad, they are pop quizzes though.

I thought BIO 190 with Middleton was so interesting. I legitimately enjoyed the class. She gives out outlines and reviews them during lecture. Tests are difficult but if you study the outlines you will do fine. She is a great prof and i feel i learned a lot from her. The labs are a little long and dry but just truck through them. Take her!

Middleton's class is hard,but she is a good teacher and you will leave the class knowing biology like the back of your hand. She is eager and willing to help you with anything you miss understand. This class is a lot of work but if you are planning on being in a health related field, this is just the beginning.

Not the easiest prof but its a hard subject. Theres lot of quizzes and tests so 1 bad grade wont kill you. Shes very nice and willing to help. Has an hour study session before every test. Some test questions are confusing but overall shes a good professor who just expects you to work hard. Study and youll know bio easily by the end of the semester

THE TRUTH: shes a very approachable, nice lady. the class is hard, like EVERY other bio class. The lazy/spoiled kids dropped out (and left these bad comments). i failed her first test but ended up getting a 'B+' as my final grade! you get used to reading alot but you realize its not that bad. TAKE HER! shes helped me so much

The class is hard. The professor is great. You have to study. It's not easy. No BIO class is. She is very clear, very nice, very approachable. At Towson, I hear she is the best BIOL 190 professor available. After having her, I can stand by that statement. If you need 190, take her! Her notes are perfect and all you need for studying. Key word:study

Professor Middleton is fantastic. She moves at a reasonable pace and makes sure you understand the material. There's weekly lab quizzes that help you prepare for the exams. It's a difficult class to excel in, but you can surely get the grade you want if you put the effort in.

Middleton is nice, but she expects wayyy too much of her students. Expects you to remember not only every little thing on the lecture slides, but also every little thing she says. I did all of the study guides, asked questions, and participated and still only got high 60s on all of the tests.

Dr. Middleton is super sweet and really helpful if you need it. Her lectures are kind of long, and you need to study for the exams, but it's not hard to do well. She definitely picks favorites, but doesn't hold anything against you. Her lab is a lot of fun if you like dissecting things! Take her if you have the chance!

She is very nice and I can tell she loves teaching this, which makes getting up at 8AM worth it. She gives powerpoints, lecture outlines AND review sheets for every unit!! You MUST study or you'll fail. She gives lab (20 pts)/lecture (pts) quizzes weekly and unit tests. We had a field trip for lab to catch fish, this is the only lab report we did.

Professor Middleton is AMAZING!! She is such a sweet, caring, helpful woman. The content of the class is super interesting & she has a clear, organized style of teaching. Her lectures move fast though, so you have to come to class. And be ready to study because its a lot of material. But Professor Middleton makes it very worth it!!!

One of the best teachers/professors I've ever had. She is so sweet and helpful. Went in knowing Zoology was a tough course with lots of memorization but she makes it so easy for you to do well if you make an effort. Clear study guides, study sessions before tests, always extra credit on quizzes/tests, will slow down the lecture if you ask.

Class is tough if you aren't on top of everything. Lecture Outlines are helpful. TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING SHE SAYS as sometimes they are random questions on the exams.

I really like Prof Middleton, you can tell that she's very passionate about animals. The class is a lot of memorization but the key is doing the study guides & making flash cards, it really helped me. She does ask questions on the tests about small things she said in lecture so make sure you take notes on everything she says & really pay attention.

I loved professor Middleton. Although she talks very fast through lectures and drops a lot of info on you at one time, she made a notes guide for us to help us take notes. Labs are fun, but there is a quiz every lab class on the previous lab, and you must study for every quiz and test if you want an A. Very helpful in and out of class as well!

Professor Middleton is great, she does what she can to help you pass. She has typed out notes for the class to fill in ($13 at Copies Plus). She returns graded material and is very clear. Her lectures are alittle heavy and goes too fast but easy to follow along with because of those notes. Tests are mainly multiple choice and theyre about 50 qs.

Professor Middleton is the nicest woman. Her lectures contain so much information that the textbook is not really a necessary purchase. As long as you take detailed notes in lecture and take the time to memorize terms and definitions, you will get an A. Attendance is required, but hey, isn't that all 100 and 200 level classes or no one would show?

I took her for zoology and absolutely loved her. Any upper level science class is going to be difficult but she tried to make it as painless as possible. She is so nice and cheerful. There is a lecture and lab quiz every week but she drops 1 lab quiz and a couple lecture quizzes. As long as you study the material, you'll do fine. Plus a zoo trip!

Don't buy the textbook - The lecture packet and lab notebook are enough for you to get an A. The content of the tests are exactly what's in the notes, so if you go to class every day and fill in the blanks, you're golden. Just be sure to study what you go over every week because she'll quiz you every week.

Helpful and nice professor, but you wont get by if you dont pay attention and dont study. Tests and quizzes are hard but doable if youre fairly proactive about keeping up. Didnt really use the textbook; the lecture packet helps you keep everything you know together.
