If you have to take a math or three (like I did) definitely hook up with this prof. If you have a hard time with math she will get you through it. She is readily available for help in class and before class. She also loves Pat's Pizza in Point. Very personable and wants you to pass. Her teaching style and pace is the reason I passed.

Lynn is the BEST! If she taught elementary or high school math, all students would come to college math wizards. Simply fantastic. Makes class so interesting and very, very fun. She is too helpful- loved her class but she spent a lot of time helping out students that just weren't getting it. So, if you need a LOT of help take her- if you do well in class then you might want to take the MATH-165 class as this class, MATH-161, also has part of MATH-012 combined. To end on a positive note: she is an awesome math teacher.

Had the OSOL class and she could not have made it any easier to pass. Gave take-home quizzes and open notes tests. Just go to class every day, take good notes, & do well on the test. If you don't pass, it's your own fault! The on-line part was small!

Before this class, I had a respect for algebra bordering on manic; after Prof. Vazquez got through with my class, I no longer have the shakes where algebra's concerned. She definitely helped with my understanding of the material!

I've had Prof. Vazquez for 3 semesters back to back to back. I am sticking with what I know works. Her methods are excellent. Always checking to make sure students understand the material. She is extremely concerned about student's performance. And it doesn't hurt that she has a great sense of humor.

I was so afraid to take Stats, but, Prof. Vasquez immediatly made me feel at ease. I took the 5 week course in the summer she was wonderful, very thorough, and extremly helpful. Also the math tutor as terric too! I got an A ... I highly recommend taking her!

I was forced to take remedial math, Aced the class. I than fallowed up and took her for college algebra for math majors science engineer and computer majors. I got a B in the class. Math literally comes natural to me so i didnt have to study much and when i did study i aced the class.

this professor is the best. ive taken 011 three times and i pass with a c with a different professor and took 012 and failed it then i re took 012 with Vazquez and i pass with an A. im really bad at math but her class was so easy mostly take home test and she help u you. it impossible to failed any of her class if u do then you didn't try.

Took her for some math class, maybe geometry (it's been a while). I am complete garbage at math, but she makes it so easy to understand. Plus, her work isn't mandatory. It's up to you if you feel you need the practice on the homework. Her test were nice and short, and tricks were used. Take her if you can actually find an open section of her's.

Professor Vazquez is extremely personable, helpful, clear, and has a good sense of humor. She caters to all types of learning styles. She'll walk you through problems. 5 quizzes, 5 tests, and final test. Usually offered extra credit at the end of tests. You can do 2 "checks" (walk through a homework prob if you want) it bumps lowest grade to an A!

One of my FAVORITE professors at OCC. I took her online class and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She emails back quickly, i needed extra help one week and she took time out of her office hours to meet me and help with the course work. Its an easy A if you dedicate yourself. Each week we had 1 discussion board, 1 assignment and one 10 question quiz.

Hands down best teacher at OCC. When people tell me it doen's matter what teacher you get in a subject I tell them they don't know what they are talking about I took a SIX credit course with Prof V and got a B+ then a Stats class with a crappy teacher got a D! re took it with Prof V got an A... enough said !! I absolutely hated this course, I am not a good math student and I struggled with the later assignments. The professor would never directly answer my questions and graded the second half of the semesters work the day before the semester ended so I didn't have time to make corrections. I was very disappointed by this because she was so highly rated.

So thankful i took this class with her! I am horrible with anything math related and i took it online during a quickterm it was a lot of work jam packed into 5 weeks but well worth it! Very fair on the grading just submit the assignments and you will without a doubt pass

i took the osol class. so we only met once a week and there was an online component. she was wonderful - the best math professor i have ever had. and i hate math. she kept the lessons straight forward and made everything very understandable. always available for extra help.

I took her for a developmental math class, and survey of math. I am terrible at math. She made everything so easy to understand and I got a B both semesters. Class often gets out early. She is very willing to work with you if you have any unexpected issues arise in the semester like I did. She is also very funny! TAKE HER!

I have to say she is the best professor I have had to date. I have not had math for YEARS and am terrible at it, and she is such great teacher she made everything so clear and simple to understand. If you want to pass her math class you will only need to understand one simple equation, math lima beans. If you understand that, there's no reason to get anything less than an A.

I took this professor for an online math class that I failed a few years ago. I got an A this time! She is awesome. She responds to every email and is always offering help. Her presentations online were awesome and help A LOT. Took it in a 5 wk, so 2 discussion boards & quizzes per week. Do the work, and you'll do awesome. Would def take her again!

I took online statistics with her - 10 wk summer course. Very straightforward course. She is very helpful when the textbook is not so clear. Her presentations online were really nice and clarify what she expects you to know. Do the hw, no reason you wouldn't get an A. I would recommend her.

She's also really fun and funny so lecture is great, I actually look forward to this class during my day, especially since all my classes are the same days.

I was terrified to retake statistics. With her class, I wish I took it sooner. She was awesome, made sure the class understood before she moved on to a new concept, and the tests were just like what you practice. If you are going into a field with stats, I would find a diff Prof just because she simplifies it a lot.

Professor Vazquez is perhaps the best professor I've had in the past three years. I took her online class, and although I had to teach the material to myself, it was not very difficult at all. She responded to any questions and emails promptly within a day, sometimes even a couple of minutes. She is a very positive and fairly easy.

Great professor, would totally take again! Gets very irritated when you talk during her class, but have a very great personality. Only need textbook for homework. Homework, participation, and attendance is not calculated into your final grade. Tests are easy if you pay attention, all quizzes are group quizzes.

I am taking this professor for my online statistics class and I am TERRIBLE at stats but if you explain in your discussions where your point of view is on the topic or how your got to your answer she is easy to understand. A heavy amount of work is given but she gives you more than plenty of time to complete! She is very sweet on her responses!

Math is one of my toughest subjects, but Vazquez made it so easy to comprehend. Passed every exam with an A. Gives excellent practice worksheets that demonstrate the exact type of questions that will be on the exam. SUPER funny and kind. Easy A.

I just finished Intro to Statistics with Professor Vazquez. I've taken three classes with her and cannot overstate how effective she is. She cares about her students' success, she constantly prods students for questions, and she provides enough detail that the material is easy to grasp. If you don't learn in her class, it's not her fault.

Vazquez made stats very easy to understand by explaining everything clearly. She also cracked many jokes and made the class fun. She really cares about her students and would help anyone with any questions. There were a few essays and a project to do, but it's easy and she helps you through it. Professor Vazquez was nice and accommodating. However, Statistics is HARD! Especially online. The quizzes and the homework make up for the majority of your grade. If you plan on taking this class be ready to put in some serious effort.

Stats is very hard and I was so worried especially taking this online. The discussions are simple, the assignments are kinda hard and the quizzes are the trickiest part of this class. But Prof. Vazquez is aware that material is hard and will help you whenever you need it. I'm so glad I made the decision to take this online and have her as my prof!

Absolutely my favorite Professor at OCC. Super respectful, funny and an overall good person. She knows what shes teaching and teaches well. Always encourages questions if we need to ask and allows the students to absorb and understand the material before moving on. Math can get hard sometimes but Professor V was always there to teach and help.

Online statistics course 7 week in the summer. I have to say this course was HARD! I am not good at math and taking this course online was super challenging. The modules were laid out to where they were easy to understand and many online tutorials/lectures/power points to help you understand. Professor always emailed back! Get ready to work!

She always made the class fun. She literally goes over everything you need to know for every Homework, Quiz and Test some of the examples she does on the board are the exact ones on the test, so take good notes. If you do poorly in this class it is NOT her fault and If your attendance sucks don't bother taking stats because you will be lost.

Homework is optional but you should do it because it makes tests/quizzes a breeze. She is fantastic. Just all around a lovely person and fantastic professor! Fun professor, lectures would get a bit repetitive and boring when people do not ask questions/talk. Easy class though- all assignments and tests/quizzes are on mylab stats. Homework are optional, but are really helpful in preparation for tests which are also online. Very flexible with the auto-grading on mylab stats, will give back points

Lectures are very good and driven on participation. Her comments are very funny. Homework is not required in this class, but are very helpful if you are struggling. She also asks which topics from the homework to go over.

Professor Vazquez is a good professor that gives clear instructions and assignments that help the students succeed. It is most likely different in person, but for an online class she is not so involved with feedback or in depth emails (just sending a youtube video of a lesson instead of explaining or allowing office hours). Still, a good professor.
