She's funny, and very knowledgeable. However, during her lectures she just recaps the book. So you'll be fine just going to her class on exam days.

I had her for Campaigns, which is by design a difficult class. She made it fun and interesting. She helped a great deal.

Prof. Farber teaches PUR 4100 in a very efficient way. We would write press releases that had to do with current events; things that we could relate to and use in real life. She was also great at providing feedback. If your stuff was bad, she would tell you why it sucked. She's a lively lady, I was never bored in her class. I recommend her 100%

If you take this class for the major, you should definetely take it with her! All you do is comment on a topic once a week and take a quiz every other week. I really recommend that you take this class online if it's offered. It is well worth the extra cost! Also, you hardly use the book because she gives really good power points. Very very nice!

Super easy! Weekly post on discussion board and 6 exams with 3 attempts to do each one. More than enough time to complete all exams and you definitely need the book! Oh and the discussion board is easy because each week is a diff. chapter and what you have to write is bascially a summary of what you read. Real simple!

The BEST professor I have ever had. She truly cares about her students and does everything in her power to see you succeed. There is an in-class assignment due every week but she explains everything thoroughly and will even give you a chance to improve on work that you might have bombed on.

I took her class online and She is AWESOME!!! You were allowed to take each of the 6 tests 2 or 3 times, and the discussions were for participation but weren't mandatory. She responded to the message board and emails very quickly and even made allowances when the website acted up. Great teacher, can't wait to take her again

I didn't feel like she lived up to her reviews. She was alright...The tests always had mistakes, but it wasn't until everyone started posting complaints that I started checking. She had some interesting topics, but not exhilarating. Maybe it would've been better as a traditional class :/

I took her class online and it was very easy. 6 quizzes w/ 50 multiple choice questions and no tests. I only read the textbook prior to taking the quizzes. There was ALWAYS a problem with the grading of the tests, but Prof. Farber was always very helpful and answers her e-mails asap. I would definitely take her again; she really respects students.

I took her online for PUR3000 and didn't see what the fuss is, but you must take her in person (as I did for 4106/4101) to see what a wonderful professor and person she is. She will help you fix your assignments if you mess up & has tons of real-life experience, Graduating next semester and I can say she's the best prof. I have had at FIU :)

Prof. Farber is a delight as a person and professor. She allows for classroom discussion to take its course without going off track. Her real world experience is an asset to her teaching, as PR cannot be learned out of a book alone! If you have the opportunity to have her as a professor you too will join the fan club.

Took her class online. 6 test in total and an extra grade for participation. The class isn't a cake walk, but it's hard to get anything below a B to be honest. Just skim through the chapters and take the test, which you also get two attempts at. Definitely recommend!

She is awesome. She is very energetic and fun and i have not even seen her in person. I took this class online and she is very helpful with any problems (sometimes the test will mark your answers wrong even if they are right). The text book is great and the index is good too which allows you to find any info you need for the test.

Take every PUR class she teaches. She is one of the few bright lights at FIU. There are 10 writing assignments over the semester all of which you get a chance to rewrite. there are not tests. She truly cares for her students.

That awful "Exit" grammar exam is no longer needed, but DOES account for sizable chunk of your final grade. Fun, easy writing assignments and great professor.

Does much talking, so you get to know 'er personality. Coming from Broward College, ranked top 10 in the country, it's easy to identify she's contra-male. Intro to PR with Dr. Farber was probably the highlight of my semester. Not so much bc of her class, but because of her. Dr. Farber is so amazing, so kind, and so helpful; she will help you so much if you reach out to her. The actual class was interesting and very easy. Your whole grade consists of three tests, which really aren't that hard.

Farber is one of the best sjmc teachers! I only went to class for the reviews, although when I did go to class for lectures it was enjoyable and I learned a lot! I just always chose to sleep in instead.. She gives her reviews the class before the test and it's exactly what's going to be on the test. Read over that 3 times & you got an easy A!

By far the best professor I've ever had at FIU. You have to do the assignments but you can expect helpful feedback that teaches you how to be a better writer. Although you do have to get the book and read the chapters to pass the tests, she makes the lectures funny by sharing hilarious anecdotes. She gave an extra credit by attending an event on campus. She's retiring Spring semester, take her while you can!

If you show up and do your work you'll pass. Buy the required books or share with a friend, all your assignments are based on it. She's willing to help if you don't understand and has lots of real-world experience to share. If you get under a 90% on an assignment she gives you a chance to re-do it. You have to try really hard to fail.

She's retiring this year so if you're reading this you most likely won't get the opportunity to have her. She's really sweet and cares a lot about her students. She nit picks a bit but it's helpful because that's how it works in the industry. I took her for all the courses I could, I'm really sad to see her go. #you guys missed out
