Intesting class, but all you do is write notes off powerpoint.

as long as you study the studyguide to the tee you will do just fine on all the tests. she gives real life examples of what she is talking about to help understand. other than taking powerpoint notes she gives extra info sometinmes that is important to write down for tests.

i love her sense of humor, it makes the topics interesting. i think she communicates really well. and yeah, the study guides and notes make studying a lot better than it could be. she's my favorite prof!

Difficult, unless you studied hard....but she's a very good teacher who is always willing to discuss her lectures until you understand them.

at first i had a hard time in this class but i soon realized that if you take down all the notes (which are all given to you by overhead) and study them before the test, you will be set. she is one of my favorite professors for sure. she had a real talent for making the class interesting. i actually wanted to go, and i didnt want it to end when it did. she included a lot of A/V content with the class, which is always good. I really really enjoyed this class. take her if you have the chance.

She is a great teacher. I greatly enjoyed being in her class. I learned a great deal. She is a serious teacher yet always willing to help until you understand the information. As long as you don't mind putting forward your best effort you will do fine in this class. She is a true teacher who cares about her students.

a lot of extra credit, a lot of lecturing, tests can be difficult but extra credit evens it out. i highly recomend it for pseo students.

Excellent professor! She is extremely fair, very giving, and teaches on the student's level; Her tests are purely application; the extra credit, bonus days, and activities only add to the learning. I would absolutely recommend this professor to everyone! I'm grateful I had her for a teacher.

Intro to Psych: DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. All exams are based on the study guide that she puts on blackbboard. Print out the power points and do the study guide right before the test. Literally all of the test questions are on the study guide. I cannot understand how anyone could get below a B in this class.

I really enjoyed her class. I hardly studied, but I knew all of her examples and was able to study that way.

had her for intro and psych 2100 and i must say she is a WONDERFUL teacher. Very fair and helpful. If you have to take any psych course I HIGHLY recommend her. A++++++!

Gabriel is very good at explaining things and wants you to understand. She has cute humor and great examples to help you understand too.

I had her for intro. Overall I'd say she did a decent job. I often found her class to be boring but in my opinion the tests were fairly easy provided you did some studying, and the homework gave easy points. I had no problems but I wouldn't reccomend her specifically.

Good teacher, went on maternity leave in mid semester.teaches from powerpoints, really clear on what she expects, gives you end of chapter review. No surprises

She gives out the powerpoint, lots of extra credit, get to use notes on final. Really interesting, I have take 10 psych classes since this class!

Dr. Gabriel is one of my favorite teachers! She made her class interesting, which for me was wonderful because I had no interest going in to it. She is helpful, and gives out lots of extra credit. Tests are fair, and based on a study guide she gives. I highly reccomend her.

Wow! What an amazing teacher. She was my favorite by far! Extremely helpful! Do not be afraid to ask questions. She was super friendly to all students and is very understanding if you have kids, because she has some of her own. I would recommend her in a heart beat! She is a phenomenal teacher! The grade I would give her as a teacher is an A+

I should have taken her class instead of online, she is HOT! The material was very interesting learning about the stages of life we go through. You will definately need a text book to study out of because her test are strictly from it. EASY grade for an easy A, 17 easy homework assignments plus 5 bonus assignments and 4 total test. Currently in her class, just finished with my 3rd exam, got an A on all 3, She is a great teacher,her clarity makes for easy understanding, But if you don't study and attend class you wont pass,You will be prepared for all her exams if you put in the work, last exam There were 4 A's, 16 B's, 9 C's, 8 D's, and 23 F's

Took online summer 8 week session. Only my 2nd online class, so not much to compare it to. Did assign a lot of homework compared to all other classes (2 assignments/week). Tests were fairly easy, used the book throughout. Highly recommend taking online, pretty much makes the class child's play.

Great teacher!!!! you definitely need to study for her test but she gave a guideline sheet telling you EXACTLY what the test is on! best teacher i have ever had! kept things very interesting :)

This professor is great, I had her for psychology 1500 and I currently have her for psychology 2100 online. bot on campus and online she is great and very easy always gives extra credit assignments. I highly recommend her.

She is a great teacher. Lets you know exactly what will be testable and sets up the class so all the information you need is readily available. While taking the class you'll get a few good laughs and have fun learning. If you can take her psych intro class, take it.

I took this class online over the summer. The class was simple and very clear. You read 2 chapters a week and do a project over the age group you covered. Professor Gabriel pushes you to be able to apply what you read when doing the projects but is very clear on what she expects.

Gabriel was always very nice and informative. I would highly recommend taking her. The assignments are clear, and she lets you use notes on all tests, even the final. She also puts the notes online! The subject matter is interesting, but she enhances it by telling stories from her own experiences as a psychologist. Great teacher and class!

Absolutely the best, I prolonged taking life span, due to fear of failure, She is by far one of the best professors I've had. She was helpful, polite, she responded to emails in a timely yet professional manner. Its rare you find a professor like her.

Great intro to psych teacher! Most classes were lectures, had 4 group work days. All group work done in class. 5 tests all open notes and a review quiz for extra credit before all tests besides the final. No homework. Textbook not needed. Would recommend!

Show up to class and get participation points. Weekly homework but pretty easy. Gives extra credit. The class was pretty easy but the final was tougher than I expected.

Loved her! Very funny and interesting. I did not like the revel assignments that we had to do. I nearly forgot about them almost every time because she never mentions anything about them in class. It is mandatory to buy the revel access code so don't even bother getting a hard copy of the textbook. And set reminders on your phone for revel!

I had Professor Gabriel for First Year Experience. She was always available either through email (quick to respond) or her office hours. Also was very approachable, kind, and actually taught. She wants to see her students succeed! I would definitely take another course she was teaching.

I took the summer class. Just memorizing facts & definitions will not work in her class, it's all critical thinking so you have to truly understand the material. But, you are allowed to use all notes on the test. You have to get the access code for revel online so you don't need the hard copy of the textbook. Do your homework or you will fail.

The online class was way better than her in person class. Gives ex credit. Her power point notes were helpful for the online class. Allows students to use notes on test, provides a 8/10 useful study guide. Test questions are not definition they're examples, if GPA matters to you study well and understand material. Only way your getting an A.

Professor Gabriel is the most amazing professor. She engages all her students in her lectures and does not read straight from the slideshow. She is easily accessible and very understanding. If you have the option to take her class, TAKE IT!! This class has made me very passionate about psychology and overall loved the class.

Dr.Gabriel was excellent. She responds to emails quickly, has clear expectations, and offers lots of extra credit. She is clearly passionate about psychology and shows a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge every lecture. I would absolutely recommend her into to psych class.

Dr. Gabriel is the best professor I've had at Lakeland so far. Her lectures are engaging, she's passionate about her material, and she's fair with her grading. Her tests are easy; the final was online and it was open-note so basically impossible to pass. As long as you pay attention in class, you'll do just fine.

Professor Gabriel is fair and reasonable. She is not handing out free As but you can get one if you work for it. Tests are open note and book but the book may not be the digital version. Be VERY thorough when filling in your study guides. There is no way around reading the chapters but homework is super easy. Lots of easy extra credit

Read the chapters, be thorough on your study guides, complete the extra credit and just use a little bit of common sense on the exams, you should pass this class with a B+ or higher. This professor does a great job communicating with the class and letting students know how they can perform better. Don't be a slacker and you'll be fine!
