Excellent instructor. Makes the work fun and you want to learn. Very fair on the grading.
i signed up for ONLINE class. However beware, this is not an online class. It requires you to meet up with other classmates for projects. It should be said it is a hybrid, but I don't know what they are thinking. It is unfair to the students who thinks it's an online class. Just a fair warning. Even the instructor don't understand online. sad.
I also signed up for an online class but had to drop.Had 2 group assignments & required to meet outside of class. I'm currently out-of-state. I do not have skype or video camera to use as replacement to in-person meetings. Would have been nice to list this as a prereq. so I'd had time to sign up for a different class.
Took this class online. She is very helpful and clear about everything. Highly recommend!
She is a great teacher!!! I loved going to class every day. The only thing that she is kinda picky on is making sure all your test and projects are in on time. She does not let you turn anything in late. She is a great teacher you just have to do the work, and you will be fine.
I had such a fun time in her class! We had an ongoing project that was basically an online game. Another project was very fun and actually was useful to me outside of class. I am taking another one of her business classes Fall quarter.
I had a personal emergency in the middle of the quarter that threw off my classwork, and Lynn was very understanding. She actually told me I didn't need to be in class. She creates a wonderful learning environment, and I look forward to taking more of her classes!
She is an amazing teacher. She's nice and helps you out when you need it. She let my boyfriend come in on V-day with a huge doll, which was nice of her to let him do. She even gave us the last test and last article review full points as a gift from her leaving to china. She's awesome, kind, fun and has lots of stories (:
Lynn is super laid back and really easy. I took her for Business 101 and I learned a lot. She has a lot of stories and sometimes I'm wasn't sure how it related to the material, but other than that she was great. She is really energetic and seems to love what she does.
I try to take her every chance I get. LOVES her! :)Highly recommend her!
This class was awful. She doesn't teach. She makes you read so much. She also makes you read chp of the week lecture notes and also write a paper weekly! This class was BS. I wouldn't recommend her. And your probably thinking I got a F? Huh? Nope I got a A in the class! This isn't a 101 level class
Lynne is willing to help anyone willing to help themselves. She loves a good story and will listen as well. She has fairly hard quizzes(in Bus200,Bus150) but since she grades a lot for effort on daily stuff you're good. ONLY teacher who uses RUBRICS!!!Her rubrics tell you exactly what you need to get 100% no excuses!
Took her class online. The easiest class of my college history. Used Aplia for assignments, and they were not timed. Class that is probably even easier to take online than in class.
Ms. Munoz is a great teacher who makes class interesting. She does require students to work, but she is very helpful, clear on her expectations and is open to new ideas. She is flexible and understanding when outside issues come about regarding typical student life. If you have the choice to take a class with her, do it!
She was great. She gives you examples of the work she expects and a rubric for each assignment. If you follow that you will do well.
I've taken 2 of Lynne's classes....I thought she was an awesome instructor and willing to help students if they need it or fall behind....I will definitely take another class with her.
This course is literally reading and exams. May have to read up to 4 chapters a week then take a really hard exam at the end of the week. No extra credit. Exams make up 60% of grade. Most homework and exams is on a website like mymathlab but for business. Only thing getting you through this course is book.
BUS101 is easy for the most part but it is also very difficult to get an A. The tests are worth 70% of your grade. The tests are take home but they are timed and very difficult to research online. I got 100% on every other assignment (which isn't difficult) but the reason I got an A- was because of the tests. Everything else is easy and fun.
I took an online marketing class and it was super easy. The tests are simple, as long as you read the textbook chapters you'll pass. I highly recommend this class and it made me realize I wanted to major in marketing! I never had any interaction with the professor, but when I emailed her questions she always got back to me quickly.
Lynne is a very nice and helpful instructor as well a very lively. When taking her classes you will quickly learn about her and her whole family. She incorporates them into all her storytelling to help you understand a real situation that could take place out in the work field. She is very proud of them. She has a loving motherly way to her.
Lynne was great! She cares about her students (especially those who show up and put in a good effort). She's more likely to help you out if she knows you're not a slacker. Quizzes, tests, papers, and projects were not difficult, but were relevant to the material, helping you learn hands on. Show up and do you work and you'll pass no problem.
Online classes and group projects do not mix. Expects people to meet up outside of class for online group projects. Very fast paced class. 2 chapters and quizzes a week and an exam every 2-3 weeks. Tough material and way more work than I was expecting.
I took this as a hybrid class. A lot of the material comes straight from the book. Her classes are very interactive with a lot of personal stories and experience. I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot.
Lynne was an awesome prof, she cares a lot about what she does and it shows. She has lots of experience and will go off on some really interesting tangents. I was always interested in class with her. Although some of the information seemed bland , she made it fun. Would definitely recommend her and will be taking a class with her again for sure.
The best piece of advice: make sure you are prepared for the exams! Study everything from front to back for them because the exams make the grade in this class. Everything else maybe determines about 10 percent more. Expect to learn a lot from this class, the materials are exhaustively extensive but totally worth it, so take lots of notes.
You don't really need to go to class. Just read your textbook and you will be fine.
Great class and instructor. You work on a marketing project for a real company, but the project is broken up into manageable assignments during the quarter. The class is Interesting and nice mix of assignments and project work. Instructor really cares if you are learning and participating.
During this class, I worked on my own business for the project. It's really cool to take a class where you can apply everything directly to your real life in the real world. Lynne is a great teacher and very good at marketing. I highly recommend this class.
This class helps you learn how to write letters and do presentations. It's a challenging work load, but worth the skills you learn. Lynne is great to work with and very organized and supportive of her students. Be sure you go to class and keep up with the work online. Get the team project started right away--don't procrastinate.
This class has a lot of reading and writing involved as you go through the quarter. Lynne breaks it down so you can keep up each week, but don't get behind. She's also very supportive and meets with students who need more help and coaches everyone to get better with writing and speaking. I'm glad I took this class, and she's nice to everyone.
I was dreading this class because of the speaking presentation, but Lynne makes it very comfortable for everyone. You work in small teams instead of presenting to the entire class, so it's not as bad as it sounds. I feel like my writing and speaking skills really improved during this class. Stay current on the weekly assignments in the modules!
My writing skills have improved quite a bit because of this class which has plenty of practice writing documents. Also, my spelling and choice of transitional words has gotten better. Stay on-top of the Canvas assignments. Managing your time during the week and getting started on assignments will prevent playing catch-up at the end of the week.
I didnt know what to expect when I started this class, but I am impressed with this class and the concepts and communication tools that I learned from it. There are so many things that I was not aware of before this class, ideas and examples of how to improve my communication in all different aspects of the business environment. I thought this c
I thought this class was really good and I enjoyed taking it. This course is valuable, and I think anyone going into the business world would benefit from taking this class.
Lynne is the best professor you ever have. She has good lectures and actually cares about all of her students. Very willing and wants to help you succeed. I took 200 and then 150 later. If you just try on the assignments then you're golden. The most work you will do is the final and all the assignments leading up can be inputted into it. Love her!!
Lynne did not communicate much. I am not sure if this is because of the online aspect or what but ultimately it was log in, read your chapters, do the discussion post, do the homework, and you're done. No class times, no lectures, minimal feedback. She wasn't bad just not what I am looking for in a professor.
I took this class during COVID and I would say that she did a very good job at teaching. There are a lot of assignments based in the textbook, but if you read the textbook and the rubric for each assignment you will will be fine. She gives a lot of good feedback on each assignment as well.
I had very little interaction with this instructor throughout this quarter. Im not sure if it was due to the online nature of the class but outside of a couple questions I had, there was no feedback given throughout my time in her class. No negative interactions at all either though. I hope to get more interaction the next time I attend her class.
There was not much interaction with this instructor. If you just want a list of assignments with due dates with the option to work ahead, this instructor is for you. There was not much feedback with assignments or discussions and if that's your learning style, look no further.
Quizzes weigh 50% of your grade, while the other 50% are made up of reading textbook chapters, discussions, homework, and interactive videos. Usually, I finished the workload in a day. Make sure to read the textbook, take notes, and understand the main concepts, it will help make the quizzes easier. There was no final exam for my online class.
Her online class is organized and easy to work through. Weekly discussions were good and you get to know people. She answers emails quickly and will meet you by Zoom whenever you need to.
I really wanted to take Marketing and this class did not disappoint. You write a marketing plan for a business of your choice, which is cool. Lynne gave tons of helpful advice on the projects. Keep up and don't get behind since the course content moves fast.
Overall, a very straightforward course. She assigned a weekly chapter (each week had 3 assignments and a quiz) on an online program that helped me understand the content. The class had a weekly discussion post (+2 replies). The professor graded the discussions, the rest was graded automatically online. No final, work could be done at your own pace.
Lynne is a very kind professor and advisor. The class is set up very well and the expectations are clear. The class requires quite a bit of research, but I found it enjoyable and the amount of class work isn't unreasonable.
The only thing she personally grades are discussion questions, and the other assignments are based on the $69.79 textbook and computer-graded. The professor is also approachable and friendly.
This page made me excited for BUS&101, but I'd warn against taking it online. You don't get any interaction with the instructor. No lectures - you just do tedious McGraw Hill online textbook quizzes for weeks on end. The only times I heard from her were in grading notes, which were nice. I think she'd be a lovely instructor if she taught the class.
I took Intro to Business online and it was a great course. I had heard she was a good instructor, and I really liked our class. She's very organized, but you have to keep up with the weekly work. Class online is interesting, and I enjoyed the discussions. She grades and answers emails on time, and you can schedule meetings with her too.
Marketing was a class I really wanted to take, and this one was excellent. Lynne's classes are all really organized, and I think she's a very nice instructor to work with. This course requires you to do the chapter work and then you pull all the material together for a final project that is a marketing plan for a company you want to work with.
The Management class I took with Lynne was great. She's always available and quick to reply. If you keep up with the reading and do the weekly module work, you'll do great. The class content was interesting and applied to my job, so that was good too. The textbook was very low cost and the entire class was smooth for me.
I really enjoyed this in-person class. Everything was really helpful in Canvas with the order of assignments. The instructor is open with a great attitude towards students and understands our lives. Good work-life and real-life lecture content Great energy and passion for the material. This was a great class that I highly recommend.
I really wanted an in-person class and this was a great one. The lectures are good along with videos and discussions that help you learn the content. I learned a lot from this class and really enjoyed the class environment, which is very comfortable and open-minded and relaxed.
I really liked the lectures and in-class discussions. Great vibe in the class and very well organized class. Lynne really cares about class and makes you feel comfortable--everyone participates, so that was good too. Glad I had this class in person.
I really liked the way Lynne runs her class. She's very professional and kind. The lectures are good, and all the students participate in discussions and other sharing comments, but you don't feel pressured or stressed. The Canvas class content was really good, and I liked the videos and personal stories that connect with the lesson. Great class!
This class was a little bit hard for me, but it is really well organized, so I eventually got the hang of things. Lynne is helpful and is available throughout the week if you need anything. We picked a company to study and follow for the quarter, and I learned a lot from the material and discussions. Glad I took this class.
This class was my favorite because I worked on my business during class to create a marketing plan. Lynne gives great advice, but you also get good ideas from other students in the discussion forums. Keep up with the weekly modules and you'll do great. I learned so much about marketing that I decided that will be my major.
I really liked this class and working with Lynne. She helped me so much all quarter, and I feel proud of my project. It was hard at first, but she gives you tons of support and will help whenever you need extra help. Keep up with the reading and make sure you get your work in on time. I think maybe I'll consider a major in marketing.
This was my first quarter back to school since high school so it was a little daunting. Lynne's class was a great experience and I really enjoyed the class and learned so much. I just wanted to thank her for all the kind feedback she gave, and for being available for any support that I required.
I am very passionate about servant leadership, and this class was great! Lynne gives really good feedback and the class content is very interesting.
By and large, I viewed BUS&101 as an extremely educational and significant class. I gleaned some significant experience in the various parts of maintaining a business, and I feel that the information I acquired will be extremely useful to me in my future vocation.
I feel as though I have acquired a significant amount of knowledge during this quarter, as I believe it challenged me to research the fundamentals of everyday businesses in the real world.
Working on the final project was one of the most enjoyable aspects of this course. I think it was a great way to apply all the things we learned over the course and helped me apply it to real world situations. What made it even more fun was that we were given the opportunity to pick whatever business we wanted to center the project on.
I highly enjoyed taking this online Business 101 class! It was a very helpful course and always easy to navigate throughout the entire quarter. One highlight for me was definitely participating in the weekly discussion boards. I learned a lot about the company I selected and about other businesses too with replies. Lynne is a great instructor!
This class was very nice and easy to navigate class. I found our weekly discussion boards to be very interesting and fun to participate in. The ABA assignments were beneficial to me. They let me put my learning into real life scenarios. I agree that this class was fast-paced and very effective. I retained all the information from this course.
Professor Munoz is the best! After doing my final assignments, I was 0.01% away from an A. She let me make up points from a past assignment in order to boost my grade. She is very forgiving when it comes to grading. The homework is all on McGraw Hill, and it is pretty easy to get good grades on the assignments. Also, no final exam!
I was looking forward to this class and Mrs. Munoz was super helpful and enthusiastic. I enjoyed taking this course; I learned, experimented, interacted and discussed new concepts essential to my career. The main project was awesome and very hands-on. I was able to apply the class's content in real-life situations and had support when needed.
This class was amazing and im really glad that I took it because I really feel like it taught me all of the basics of bussiness and covered everything I needed to know for my future bussiness classes.
I enjoyed the topics we learned in this course and look forward to taking more business courses. I also liked researching one company over the course of the quarter and relating the topics. This really helped to put these topics into perspective and gave examples of how these different topics are applied in real life.
I really enjoyed this class for a multitude of reasons with the learning of business and how they operate really can translate to the real world. Having those ABA type assignments was interesting too while it showed real life scenarios in business, and you had to answer questions that may be asked in a conversation.
I feel like everything that I have learned throughout the course of the quarter has proved to be very important in my understanding of the business world, as well as equipping me with skills/business knowledge that I can apply in current time. Lynne is very organized and responds quickly to questions or concerns. One of the best teachers I've had.
I have enjoyed this class greatly and it was so fitting for it to be my last before I graduate! The topics I read about on leadership and communication are already being put to good use in my personal opinion.
This is a great class if you are preparing for a business degree and/or working. All of the topics are meaningful, but I really learned a lot about diversity and inclusion as part of creating productive teams and generating creative ideas. I highly recommend taking Lynne's classes!
Professor Munoz was quick to respond and kind. The assignments were primarily done through McGraw Hill's Connect system. Weekly discussions included a mandatory post + two replies. Easy curriculum while still being educational.
Straight forward online class using the McGraw Hill Connect system. Weekly discussions and responses are requir
I'm taking BUS& 101 Intro to Business this fall quarter, and it's a really good class--much better than I had hoped for. The class is really well organized with interesting content and it's super clear what to do each week. Prof Munoz also gives good feedback on our discussion posts and grades. I will take more courses from her next quarter!
Very hands-on and participatory. I learned that a successful team needs elements of both leadership and management. Management's role in organizing, setting clear expectations, and ensuring processes run smoothly is just as important as the inspiration and vision provided by leadership. Class is very organized and you get good feedback on all work.
This marketing class is one of the best classes I've taken in college. The materials are great, and I'm creating a marketing plan for my personal business and the class content is really helping me get everything in order to improve my current business's success. Lynne gives great feedback and is an excellent teacher. She is super nice and helpful.
This class helped me see how businesses work behind the scenes and what it takes to be a good leader. These ideas gave me a strong base I can use now and later in life, no matter what job I do. I'm glad I took this class and learned so much. The instructor is organized and very available too.
Hearing someone discuss the idea that while one can manage projects or schedules, they cannot manage people really shifted my perspective. All topics had a direct application in my work life, allowing me to recognize both good and bad practices. The discussions gave me a new perspective on what it takes to be a good manager/leader.
Learning about Cross-Cultural Management expanded my perspective beyond my own cultural lens. It emphasized the value of empathy, open-mindedness, and flexibility in leadership. Effective managers must be culturally aware to create inclusive environments where all employees feel respected, understood, and motivated to contribute their best.
The biggest thing I took away from this class is that effective management is all about thinking ahead, making good decisions. This is something that I'll carry with me in any career path I choose because it's helpful in both ways even if i want to become the manager! Great class and awesome teacher!
There was a lot of information relating to lawful hiring practices that was helpful. I manage a privately owned bubble tea shop, and I got thrown into the manager role years ago when I was only 17. Although I have learned over the years, there was never any proper manager training that would've taught me about the things I learned in this class.
Great class and good informationon communication. I can already apply concedpts in daily life, whether working on group assignments, collaborating with coworkers, or just having better conversations. Improving my teamwork and communication skills will help me not just in school or at work but also in my personal relationships.
I have enjoyed the main project of this class. The process of marketing and developing a plan to help my business grow has been very informative and beneficial. The project has encouraged me to consider the future of my business in ways I wouldn't have without this class, including my mission statement, pricing, competition, and more.
Putting everything together in the final marketing plan helped me see how branding, consumer behavior, pricing, and promotion all connect. This course didn't just teach theory as it gave me tools I can use, and already have used, in leadership and creative work. Lynne is really interactive and gives great feedback throughout the course.
After taking this course, I gained valuable information about marketing strategies, I built my first marketing plan for a restaurant, that was challenging for me, but I did it after I study the different ways to create a good plan.
I feel more prepared to develop forward-thinking strategies. I plan on using this class to help my clients, and I already have a meeting set up to go over our final in class to help them further. I'm going to incorporate parts into a brand guidelines to help focus the company in a strong direction for the future.
My biggest takeaway was about channel management. From power types such as coercive power and referent power to VMS (Vertical Marketing Systems), I learned a lot from the channel management chapter. The new vocabulary helps me communicate with my team on a higher level. I am more interested in the logistics involved along side marketing.
The backpack marketing simulation was really hands-on and valuable to me. It made the whole marketing process feel real. Making decisions about product features, pricing, and promotion and seeing how those choices affected sales and profit helped everything click on a new level for me. Thhis class is very realistic!
The part of the class that most interested me was the motivation theories. I'm not a business major, I just needed a class to take this quarter. As more of a STEM student, the motivation chapter stood out to me because it used more scientific language and included some major theories and spent more time discussing the actual research.
I gained an understanding of the difference between the sole proprietorship, LLC, Corporation, and partnership structures provided much needed clarity into the world of business that I did not possess prior to taking this class. The other big topic that stuck out to me was the section about accounting.
I learned a lot about various business ownership models such as LLC, entrepreneurship, and incorporation that I didn't know such as the differences in responsibility, risk, and liability. It was even more interesting to see how it applied to the business I chose. The class discussions are good. Pick a company and stick with it early in the quarter.
With each discussion post we got to see how the material we've learned have been applying to the actual business world, which I think is really great insight to see the concepts we learn actually show us something very meaningful. Being able to read and understand the annual report, as well as the balance sheet, and income instatement was good.
Before taking this course, I mostly viewed companies from the outside like through their advertising, products, and brand reputation. Now after reading and going through the process of reviewing every aspect of a company. I realized there's a whole different layer to understanding the challenges and risks that don't show up on the surface.
My favorite takeaway from this course, was interacting with all of my classmates on this discussion board over the ten weeks. I learned so much about different companies over this time. You all were amazing to work with. This has by far been my favorite class at EvCC!
this class taught me that managing money and borrowing smartly is a big part of running a successful business. It's not just about selling products or services, but also about knowing how to handle money well. This will definitely help me understand how real businesses work and maybe help me if I want to start a business someday
Before taking this course, I thought of marketing as mainly advertising or social media promotion, but now I understand that marketing is much more than that. It's a strategic process that includes identifying customer needs, creating value, and building lasting relationships. This is a great class and instructor!
Overall, I feel like this class helped me understand marketing in a whole new way. It's not just selling products it's about understanding people and building trust. This course is really great and organized. The instructor is nice and very responsive too!
This course provided valuable insights, especially on the topic of the 4 P's: Product, Place, Price, and Promotion. I learned about the diversity of employment and how to become a better businessman. Additionally, I appreciated exploring different strategies to excel and become a more distinctive entrepreneur. Highly recommend this class!
I loved the feedback I got from my peers and teacher. I have anxiety responding to others online. This class really put me to the test in doing so and I tried my best to respond to discussions online. Overall, this class was very beneficial to me for my future in the business world. This is a good class with a supportive teacher.
This class focused heavily on how to be more of a CEO entrepreneurial type rather than working at a business. I did enjoy the explanation on marketing and the different parts of that job. It's helped me realize I'd rather do a specialty role than become a manager, I'll now look more towards operations, merchandising, or something along those lines.
A ton of homework, no lectures, just teach yourself. You can retake the homework until you get a perfect score, and it is an extremely easy class. Just prepare to read a lot.
