She's smart and she really cares about her students.
Very helpful, kind, nuturing, fair understanding and patient! We need more professors like her- a true people person - brilliant! She gives Professors in general a good repuation.
Professor Zaccarini is an amazing history professor. She puts alot of enthusiasm in her lessons! Watch out for I.D.s..She is a terific lady once you get to know her!
She's great. She is very nice and helpful to the students.

I HATED history, but LOVED this professor!! If you're not a major, but you need to fill a general ed requirement, TAKE ZACCARINI!!! you MUST.. she is AWESOME!!!
Great teacher. I actually got something out of her class even though I'm not into history.
Very insightful, very knowledgable, and fair. she gives "IDs", so be sure to do your HW b/c she randomly collects them. also, we had two 5 page papers. all in all, not a bad class.
Funny lady.... Grades a bit hard but is fair and nice to her students...Very helpful in covering the material and I wouldn't mind taking another class with her.
Makes everything seem easy, no depth
If it hadn't been for her I wouldn't have majored in history or gone on to graduate school
I loved her classes. A bit moody, but an excellent teacher. A real asset to the department. i took her for undergrad and grad and she was great!
I came away from her class with a lot of information
Really nice person...she teaches the things histor books leave uout...if given the oppertunity...i would take a class with her again...
she's really sweet
I never liked history, and Im not that crazy about it to be honest, but I love this teacher. She is very helpfull, and knows what shes talking about. There should be more teachers like her. Take this class if you ever have the time, this is the best history class at Adelphi.
Prof. Zaccarini is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is clear, intelligent and helpful to her students.
She really nice. If you do the assigned reading you're pretty much guaranteed an A. She's funny and makes class interesting. I learned a lot from this class.
Very insightful and fun.
she's really sweet and a fairly easy grader but can be flighty at times and sometimes will get aggrivated when students say they dont understand something. the class was ok, but i wouldnt be the first in line to sign up to take another class with her
She was a very sweet teacher. Made discussions in class fun. As a history major I learned a lot from her and would take a class with her again
I really appreciated the fact that she has passion for her subject, which kept the class motivated and made the environment easier to learn in
She made history not as boring as it can be. She is EXTREMELY nice and ALTHOUGH she gives alot of work it is quite easy and it REALLY HELPS for the test...she knows her stuff and isn't a real hard grader but does give alot of work but it isn't insane and easy.
She's a genuinely nice person who wants her students to find history as interesting as she does. She knows what she's talking about in all the areas she teaches in history. Her assignments are clear, she's not a tough grader. She will help you out with anything. She even knows some stuff about STEP.
Very easy and clear profesor, but will get on your nerves, because she is an extreme feminist, and your treated like your in H.S in her class.
Zaccarini is helpful to her students.
Very intelligent, knowledgable, and kind. She's objective, yet has the ability to become personal with her students when needed. Amazing professor.
Nice teacher, quirky and not all there at times.. but def nice and good teacher.
Very odd. Class was easy but is seemed like she inhaled pain fumes before she came to class. She was always in another world. Very nice lady though
She is one of the best professors at adelphi
Music theory is not a history class and Zaccarini only a history professor. Are you in another world? inhaling paint fumes?

A very pleasant professor who is always searching for the best in each student. Her grading is quite fair, and her knowledge is prolific. She uses much positive reinforcement with her classes. Some may consider this eccentric, I think it's terrific. Kudos prfoessor Zaccarini
The absolute most prepared teacher - ever. She is a walking bibliography of sources, too! Take a class with her, you won't regret it!
She is THE most recommended prof. at Adelphi. She is helpful, nice, loves her subject. Just read and show her that your putting effort into the class you'll get an A. Be warned though there is a lot of reading, but her exam questions come straight from her study guide so don't worry. TAKE HER!!!!! YOU'LL LOVER HER!!!!

She is THE BEST!! She is always there if you need help and really she is just an awsome person. You need to take a class with her and you will love history!!!
Professor Zaccarinni is a very unique and kind women. History seems to really be her passion. She cares very much whether studends understand the topics and makes a huge effort to make everything as clear as possible. She is a very fair grader and gives a reasonable workload. Also, on the side she is very nice to talk to.
She is AWesome!!!!!!
by far the best history professor at adelphi. She knows her stuff, be prepared to do work and youll be reward. recommend taking her
sHE should care less about students and let them text message in class.
She is a really nice teacher
Excellent teacher. Tough though.
When it comes time to take your seminar class, take it with Prof Zaccarini. Really cares about her students.
Her teaching methods need improvement. She is not that helpful outside of the classrom. Given the choice I would not take any further classes with her.
Super intelligent and really interesting. She is always prepared and really helpful.
Amazing teacher - talented and her passion for her subject comes through in every lecture
Because history majors have to take this class you should take it with her because she is probably the most easyist of all of them
She is not easy. Gives lots of work but you learn.
She is very difficult to follow. I found her (my opinion) to have her favorites in class. Overall I wouldn't take other classes with her.
I found her brilliant, but it is true that only the intelligent to non-dumb students could follow her well.
Extremely intelligent and well-versed. Loves what she does & it shows in her lectures. Outside of the classroom, extremely caring, friendly, and willing to offer extra help to anyone who asks. Gives a lot of work, but is all woth it in the end. MUST do the readings. 2 papers, plus essays for mid-term & final.
As long as you are organized , do the readings and participate you will find her class EXTREMELY EASY. her papers r graded easy-and her midterm and final are two essays which are a joke if you do the readings. she is an amazing teacher and is FULL of knowledge. she really does want everyone to do well!
In my opinion she does have favorites in class. I would not advise taking a class with her unless you know her; also, don't ask questions in class she tended to frown on questions that she thought were easy. She did not have enough time to help me outside of class when I asked her...Cavallo was much better with one on one help.
Her office is always full of students because she is so helpful. She should not try so hard to help everyone.
Stay away. She is extremely intellectual and there is lots of reading. If you want to read A LOT you could learn a lot. Also she wants everyone to do well though and tries to make time for everyone, but if you take Cavallo hes much easier. If you show interest she will love you.
Rather prone to moods. It is almost impossible to know this professor's expectations. Learned only her viewpoint and it was not easy to understand her grading procedure.
Gives a lot of reading, but she doesn't really go over it in class, so if you don't do them, it's not a big deal. Tells you everything you need to know for tests. Only two tests, a midterm and final, and two papers where you can pick your own topic. Notes may be hard to follow sometimes, since they are mostly quotes. She's a nice professor overall!
She's brilliant- makes history like a discussion; shows how it connects to us today, makes you care as much as she does.
Women in US I. Class just consists of a midterm, two papers, and a final. There is a lot of reading assigned, but you can probably make it through the class without doing all of it. She's a little crazy at times, but can be funny and overall is a nice professor.
She seems easy, and she's clear and interesting, but if you don't do the reading, you can't pass her exams - hard. This was my lowest grade last semester.
by far the best professor that I have taken. She is just so willing to work with you and its clear that she cares about her students. She is entirely fair in her teaching and is good at it too. I wish Adelphi had more professors like her- an incredible woman.
She makes you work.:(
Although her class is fun, she went on to many tangents, especially when it came to women. Almost every topic in the class had this. I understand that it's part of history, but there are more important things.
Great professor. Expects you to read what she assigns and be prepared to discuss it. Will always be available to help you. Won't write your paper for you, but will help you every step of the way until you get it. She is funny and energetic, and makes class interesting. Challenging but fair.
Toughest professor I've ever taken.
For a required credit this class was extremely tough. Lectures are extremely rushed and packed. The textbook is a drag. Would recommend picking a class with a professor that is more understanding about the fact that most to all the students in the class don't have prior knowledge on this course. Does stress her office hours
Honestly take her any chance you get. You will have to do some work (paper, midterm, final), but she truly cares and is always there to help. She also makes class so much fun and exciting to learn. I would definitely take her again.
Great Professor! I had her for FYS Global spirituality . As long as you get the readings done and journals ( they are super easy) you'll pass. No tests or final, instead a 6 page paper on a topic of your choice as long as its related to what we learned at the end. She sometimes is hard to follow but she is so much fun and a caring professor.
Prof Zaccarini is very nice very energetic. wants you to just participate and understand the material. lots of work outside of class, you write responses every week and you have one final paper. willing to help you with just about anything
She is a very nice professor and is a lenient grader which is nice cause she gave a lot of work for this class. She made us do 9 essays this semester which is a lot for an elective class. 4 moodle post essays, 2 essays for the midterm, an interview essay, and 2 essays for the final. In addition to that, she makes you do readings for every class.
She is very caring, for the Moodle Posts, ask her to check it over and she will help you do better, which shows you are trying. Im not the best write but i sent her each of my moodle posts and essays, which helped me boost my grade by alot. As long s you show you are trying and participate, you should be good.
She was so nice and helped a lot during office hours. She explains whatever you don't fully understand. Pay attention in class and participate! We did do textbook reading but they weren't bad.
I took a class with Dr. Zaccarini in spring 2017, and took five classes with her since. I took all the classes I could have taken with her, and it upsets me that she doesnt teach anything else. Dr. Zaccarini is an extraordinary professor who will do anything she can to you help achieve your goals. I highly recommend taking her!!!
She is paper and reading heavy, however, you have ample time to get stuff done. For each topic, you write a 1600 word paper, however, you pick the topic and question. She does what she can to ensure her students succeed. Shes a wonderful professor and a great person!
Very nice and caring prof, but a lot of work. I gave a 4 difficulty not because it was difficult, but because of the workload. As long as you do it, you'll be fine. She likes to seem like she's understanding, but will completely contradict herself. She also requires participation from every student in every class. Learned a lot though.
I took her for Women in the US. She can be a little confusing on what she expects with reading, reflections, and all the writing assignments (which there are a lot of). The best you can do is email her asking for help (she is very nice and helpful) and to find a friend in the class because it is very easy to forget an assignment or to fall behind.
Such a sweet woman who is so smart. Her lectures were so interesting and she really wants to hear what her students think too. She is heavy on participation and assignments, but nothing overbearing. Just do not procrastinate. She is also so caring towards us and easily accessible if you need her. Take a class with her if you can!
I took Women's U.S. history 1&2, and it was very easy even if you aren't a history major. The info sticks in your head bc she doesn't give tests, just weekly 250 word assignments due every friday and 2-3 papers in the first person perspective of a historical woman you learned about. There's a textbook but I didn't even need to read it to get an A+.
I took several courses taught by Professor Zaccarini. Professor Zaccarini's classes are meticulously structured, her grading criteria is clear, and her feedback is invaluable in enhancing your work! I can genuinely say that Professor Zaccarini's teaching made my entire experience at Adelphi University truly worthwhile!
Dr. Zaccarini executes the lesson plans flawlessly, encourages participation in an inviting manner, and motivates you to be your best. I will forever be in awe of her ability to take complex subject matter and break it down into digestible content for easy understanding. She's dedicated to her craft, and deeply cares about her students' success.
Professor Zaccarini is as sweet as sugar because not only she wears black flats but she also helps me become successful!!!!
Professor Zaccarini is such an amazing professor and cares about her students. Overall, her work is simple it consists of a weekly Moodle post and 2 essays throughout the semester. She sets you up for your assignments and as long as you participate and engage you will receive a good grade. She is super kind and understanding, easy to reach.
Prof. Zaccarini is one of the nicest professors here at Adelphi, she is fair with her grading. The homework is 250 Moodle posts and three short papers. I have taken both Women in US I and II and I definitely recommend it. If you are struggling with anything, she is super fast and accessible over email.
Her classes are engaging and interesting. There aren't exams, instead of exams you have to do essays but it's just to write about one of the women talked about in class in the first person view. The only assignments she gives are weekly posts of 250 words or more. The professor is also nice and always happy to help you if you need anything.
Great professor I took her for both women in US 1 & 2. I don't like history tbh it's probably my worst subject but she made the material pretty easy to understand even for me. She's very mindful of her students & makes efforts to lessen the stress load which I really appreciated. no tests & the essays are easy as long as you pay attention & read.
Every week we have to read a packet, every two weeks we have a reflection paper that we have to write in connection to the lecture. We have to present 3 slide shows and write two essay. Her class is torture to sit through. Extremely boring and so much work. She grades your on participation and its not really easy to get 100 on your assignments.
Such a strict grader for no reason, gives class reflections every 2 weeks and will make up the most random excuses to take off points. For our essays she will not give you above a B+ if you don't go above and beyond. Her class is very boring to sit through but she is nice. Make sure to participate and present enough.
all she does is talk. she gets annoyed if you go to the bathroom or even have you laptop out for notes all she does is complain.
She used an online textbook for this class, so you don't have to buy it, you can just print the PDF or use it online like I did. Great professor overall. Extremely helpful, easy participation grade, extremely hard to fail the class. Biweekly reflection posts and 2 big assignments during the semester. A lot of reading, but you get used to it.
She is an amazing professor who cares about her students. She wants everyone to apply the material to their personal lives and focuses heavily on the feelings and needs of historical figures. We had two essays, bi-weekly in-class reflections, a final, and readings every week. Even if you aren't a history major, I suggest taking her.
Banned laptops because she saw students in ANOTHER PROFESSORS CLASS shopping on Amazon. In order to get anything above a B+, you need to go above and beyond. She gives bi weekly reflections in which you will not get 100 and she wont tell you why. She did not give ANY feedback at all on one of the essays and did not explain why she took points off.
She was really nice and accessible outside of class. She always gave me good feedback and the bi-weekly in-class reflections were easy as long as you made good connections in them.
I haven't even taken this professor yet, but I will be spring 2025. My friends were hyping her up and I just have to take her. Looking Forward to it. Will be updating at the end of the spring semester.
Cares about all students.
I'm telling you right now do not take her
She is a harsh grader.., this is a non-major class. Everyone taking this class was for the liberal arts requirement and yet she was grading us like this is a serious course. She takes herself & this class way to seriously, if you need the lib req and there is no one else then take it but if you have a choice and you care about your gpa dont!
She is rude and passive aggressive. Dont take her!!
Honestly she takes this class too seriously. She has an attitude and will call you or when you zone out or even when you're not. Sarcasm is involved and fake nice, don't take her
Avoid her!
