She's a really great teacher. Really good in explaning the class material. Do all the homework. The exams were pretty hard though.

Dr. Kung is easily the best professor at CSUF. She is very demanding, but you will learn the material and pass the course. If stats scares you, take her because she is the best!!!!

Don't buy the book. She gives you a packet for $15 bucks and that is all you need. She is a good teacher. I would recommend her, but make sure you stay on top of your homework and COME TO CLASS prepared. She lets you use 2-4 pages of notes on the test. She's always 5 minutes late to class though.

VERY I mean very very hard class. I did not "hate" Statistics, but now I do really really hate it. Exams are extremely tricky and difficult.

Hard Class. Exams are hard. HWs are hard, can't even do the hws. Exams consist of 5 hard problems (each problem has a bunch of little questions). Impossible to do all the problems in an hour.

This class is hard. However, if you put a lot of effort on homeworks you'll be fine. 4 tests. Each has 5 problems. Comprehensive final. This teacher has a great sense of humor, very knowledgeable, helful and nice.

It is clear why some of you believe she is an "easy" professor. First let us examine your English...clearly it is not your strongest subject. Kung's exams are somewhat tricky, however, if you do the assigntments and study your kaboose off, you will surely get at least a "C". One of the best instructors in our campus. Great course. Attend EVERY class, take good notes, ask questions in class, practice, and then practice some more. Go to her office if you have questions; once there review your past exams. This is a cumm. course. BE DETAILED ORIENTED. She is a GREAT prof. and has a good sense of humor.

This is a very easy class. No books required! Just do more practice and ask her questions after the class if you don't understand. I'm a ESL student and I have no problem with this class. I even used dictionary on the 3 exams. Don't be lazy, the only student that failed in this class ...because they didn't do any practice after class.

She is very funny and relates the course material to real life - gambling. The class is hard, if you take good notes and do the HW you'll do great on the exam...especially because exams are open notes. She grades on a curve and that is always an added bonus.

This class was very challenging, I only passed because I went to her office hours after each class session. Statistics only gets easier with lots and lots of practice. Kung helped me all throughout the semester and Im glad she was so open to helping out. Her teaching is fine and she goes off on funny tangents, helps keeps you awake. =-)

I took Dr. Kung's ISDS 361B 2 years ago. The class was hands-on, lots of work. I got a job at Moss Adams, CPA, from Dr. Kung's recommendation. She helped me on accounting jobs.

Key, exam are not usual, you need to calculate your number from an excel file, then calculate your answer. Make sure you have alot of excel practice at home. Gave huge curve, I bombed the first two exam, got an A for the class. Make sure go to class and understand the "concept", be careful about the small thing during the exams. like the units

Dr. Kung explains the material with real world problems. Her lectures are easy to understand. I took her last year, got a B. I wasn't good at Excel before taking her class. I practice and practice all the assignment problems. After that, I passed an Excel competency exam and got a part-time job at Kaiser. She is an amazing professor.

HIGHLY Recommended. Dr. Kung really explains the concepts well and she teaches us tips and tricks on using excel. We do not use the textbook and only use the workbook that she sells to us for $20. If you aren't sure that your templates will work, go to office hours and she'll go over it with you. She wants you to pass, so put in some effort and you will.

HW can be easy to understand but tests are more complicated and not exactly like HW questions. No extra credit but may curve class. Good luck!

Took it in summer. Nice and helpful. She is one of my favorite professors in CSUF. Three open note exams and one project. She is willing to help her students all the time. Just follow her, you will be fine.

She's a great professor! I recommend her if you are looking to learn and apply it in the real world. DO NOT BUY THE TEXT BOOK!! YOU DON'T NEED IT! she gives you her note packets which are way more helpful. It is a very hard class though but go to her office hours and she makes things easier to grasp. Her exams are all short answer.

The class is tough and demanding. I would recommend her. Use her workbook, do homework, go to office hours and you'll be set.

She's hard. Helpful, great teacher, but hard. I ran out of time in all 4 exams. I received an F in the class now I gotta retake it, but thats not her fault thats my fault. I understand the material but if you're not good with numbers then odds are you will fail.

you won't be bored during lectures. everything she teaches you'll understand either the first time or after she explains it again. you don't need any textbooks or software except a usb drive and excel. she assigns hw thats in the workbook she gives you that also contains the notes and in class examples. 3 exams that are open book/notes. one project

If you're an ISDS major or want to know how to apply Excel to real world business problems, take her. Every problem in her workbook is applicable to real business problems. If you just need credits/ fulfill requirements, take someone else as exams are hard and your grade is determined purely by 3 exams, a final, and a project.

Honestly, you learn a lot from this professor. All you need is a USB and Excel and her workbook she has for $20. Attendance is mandatory, each lecture is hands on. pay attention to her lectures. she is funny also and cracks up everyone in class. i reccommend to take her because you learn a lot about real life work problems

Alright. She is 1. Hilarious 2. Interesting lectures 3. Teaches you a lot about excel, but her exams are detailed and if you practice the Assigments you will pass. Took in summer got 77 on first 98 on second and idk about Final but it was tough. She gave me an A! big curve! But she challenges you with the exams

Kung is amazing! I almost didn't take her bc I wanted to take Skordi but I am soo glad I took her instead. I learned so much from her class and now wish I also took her for 361A instead of Skordi. Her exams are exactly like the problems we go over in class. Don't even need to buy the textbook. You'll get so much out of this class, + shes HILARIOUS!

Class is alright... Tests are a bit difficult.. I finished with plenty of time on every exam but 95% of the class didnt finish. I scored As and Bs on all the exams so they are doable but they do challenge you. must be fluent in excel due to time. do the problems in the workbook since they resemble the test for the most part. overall not to bad.

Im just gonna say this up front.. Slackers dont take.. you will not pass.. shes nice and she knows what shes talking about. She does curve but i wouldnt say a lot. I did get an A but i did study a little above the average amount. Most know basics. Tests are a bit tough not impossible. A lot of people dont finish. if you dont practice you wont pass.

Class is alright. Shes smart and Tests are based on homework almost to the dot. Shes super funny and chill. Shell help if you ask for it dont be shy. tests are time consuming. Basically no one finishes. Must be fast in excel. Tests are easy if you know what youre doing. Dont study the night before. Project was dumb but not worth a lot.

The reviewer who gave a poor rating must have taken a different professor, the info was wrong. Dr. Kung explained the material really well, hands-on Excel applications in every class. 3 exams, a take home project, and a final. No pop quiz. No use of text book, her workbook is good to go. Practice all the assignments. Class is not boring.

Teacher was decent. She knows what shes doing and although she is good doesnt make up for the fact that a lot of time outside of class must be put in. Exams are time consuming and a tad difficult. Practice the homework until you throw up from practicing it then practice it more tests resemble the homework for the most part Ended with a B

Great professor! Has a good sense of humor and teaches the class with real life examples. Some chapters are fairly easy but others are challenging. What you learn in class is what will be on the exam. She's really helpful and I highly recommend visiting her office hours. She also uses her own book which was significantly more helpful.

Took her for Spring 2018 and she is AMAZING! Really great at teaching the material and makes sure everyone understands the Excel application. Also very funny for a 7am class. 4-5 exams in total including a cumulative final, no homework, one case analysis at the very end (fairy easy). All exams are OPEN NOTES, OPEN FILES. 100% recommend!

She knows exactly what she is teaching and teaches it very well! If you know how to do the problems, then you'll do well in the exams. There's 3 tests & the final which is cumulative and 1 case analysis, which is not that hard. Make sure to know how to do the problems because you might run out of time on tests if you don't! Would def recommend her.

Professor Kung is just amazing, she makes every class exciting and fun with her style of teaching with her jokes and examples. Shes cares a lot about her students and will do her very best to go over the content during class and after class to make sure her students understand completely. Highly recommended!!!

She is a great professor, covers topics in detail, explains real world problems, goes thru step by step, repeats Excel work over and over again. The exam has 5 problems, no multiple choice, open book, templates. If you go to every class and do your homework, this class is fine, questions are similar to the homework.

If you are not good with computers, don't take her. She showed us in detail how to form templates in class. need to follow her instructions in class, do the hands-on work, so don't be late or skip class. Exams are word problems, need to download Titanium files to solve everything, no multiple choice. I practice alot so I don't run out of time

all-around great teacher, great professional, great mentor, and great scientist. i'm an idealist, so i expect a lot from how professionals should be and act. she trusts my aspirations and objectives well. she encourages students to live up to their potential and happily succeed.

Professor is really funny and a great teacher! I learned a lot but if you don't pay attention you will be extremely lost. Pay attention to every detail and don't lose focus! Overall good course but final was EXTREMELY hard. Every test is open book/notes but there's no time to use them! So study bc at first it seems easy but then you realize.

Repeat, review, again and again. 5-problem E1,E2, 7-prob Final with open notes, Excel templates but NO Time to review it. Attending lectures, doing HWs getting C grade. Quite helpful during office hrs. Indi hard project but not many pts.

Solid choice! 3 exams, 1 comp. final, and 1 indiv. project. 70% is a passing grade. No online hw, no textbook required. She charges you $20 for a workbook she created that you will use throughout the semester. Exam qs are fill in the blank based on excel files, no multiple choice qs so make sure to take good notes. Open book/notes for all exams.

An easy A. You have an entire month to watch like 12 hrs of video, but I only watched maybe 4/12 hrs total. I was always done in one day and managed B/As every midterm WITHOUT studying, the final however.. STUDY STUDY! I waited till last minute, hence my B :( her lectures are funny but slow, watch on 2X speed :) Your entire grade is exams. No book!
