Needs to be clear with her directions. Not really an easy teacher. She gives tough papers and is a tough grader. Helpful and nice though.

this class will never be boring, she's incredibly funny and the class is really easy.

At first she may seem to be strict but as time goes on she eases up. Pretty easy assignments if you can right an essay, plus some grammer. An easy A if you do the work. Doesn't grade very hard and also gives fun topics and activities. Good teacher.

Super easy course, just pay attention. She is extremely clear on what she expects from the students on each of their papers. She is funny and very interesting. People who don't do well in her class obviously weren't paying attention to begin with.

WELL WE GAVE HER A HARD TIME, FRESHMAN STUDENTS SO THAT WAS NOT EASY FOR HER BUT SHE GOT US STRAIGHT AND MADE IT VERY CLEAR OF WHAT SHE WANTED US TO DO. I LIKED HER BECAUSE SHE IS REAL AND I FOUND THAT SHE AND I HAD A LOT IN COMMON. SHE IS A GREAT TEACHER I GOT A B' INHER CLASS BUT THAT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

Great class. I hate writing and am not very good at it and I still got an A. She makes things very clear as far as what she wants in your essays and what she expects. She seems a little rough on the first day but she REALLY eases up.

Mrs.Jennings is an extremely interesting teacher.She has a great sense of humor,and is crystal clear in what she expects from students.She acts like shes tough,but shes not.I got an A and I don't like to write. But I had to earn it.This is a discussion class.

Everything is spelled out wonderfully. Is willing to answer questions. One of the better teachers I've had on this campus. Definately will take again if she teaches anyhting else.

Do the work, you'll get a good grade! She does reading selections and then a quiz, but she goes over the selections prior to quiz (and gives you some of the answers). As long as you come to class, do decent on quizzes and the research paper (choose your topic), you'll do well!

I don't know what is with the grades horrible thing. She grades pretty farely. I got a B and I worked my ass off to get it.

She is very helpful with determing direction to take with essays/writings. She listens to what you have to say about subjects.Don't miss any classes she has quizzes every week (at least in short track summer). Would take her again.

Taking it now in the summer goes really fast you have to write a short 5 paragraph once a week and a research paper 4 pages total excluding the citation page very easy class.. Take her

I am set agog by this whole classroom experience. Professor Jennigs is talented ande teaches with passion and gravitas. If you want to learn to write well, please take this class.

I enjoyed Ms. Jennings. I never bought the book and got an B!! there is a lot of group work, but also a lot of guidance and answers! She was awesome and I hope that all of my professors can live up to her and her eccentric style.

Ms Jennings is an excellent professor. She teaches with love and alot of guidance. There are group works and also grammar games, which we find very helpful for the final grammar test.She explained the diffent types of essays very clearly. I made a B. Research papers she was there to guide us through. Awesome professor!!! I took her this summer.

Excellent class! I loved it.

I took this professor last fall (2009), and she was a delight to be around. Her teaching style is both informative and vivacious, a style I have seen few teachers master. She takes lots of time to go over assignments and the research paper. She really wants her students to succeed, and I only regret not taking her for Comp II. Highly recommend her.

Class was very enjoyable. She was very helpful and helped her students prepare for every essay. Would've signed up for 1102 with her if I had to take the class.

Her class was laid back but she makes it easy to learn at the same time. Would recommend for anybody.

Her class is simple and easy. She is good at explaining things clearly. However, it was hard to get good grades on her essays. To get an A on an essay i believe you need to be a professional writer. She is a little sarcastic and has somewhat of an attitude. I would not take her class again,

She's reasonable when grading I think. She wants her students to succeed and it shows when she teaches in class. Its hard to get an A but its college. The previous writer is right though, she is a lot better one on one.

I did not really enjoy Mrs. Jennings as a teacher. It was impossible to get a good grade on an essay and we did not even write a lot. We just took some quizzes on essays she would make us read for homework. If you want an A, do not take her.

Jennings is interesting. She had us talk about a lot of different issues with all the readings we did. I never really thought about some of the stuff we covered in class. Shes not the easiest prof (I didnt do great on the research paper but did ok on those response papers). But she's got ideas.

She was a good teacher. Very clear and concise about what she expected and would tolerate She does not accept late work in no way, shape or form. If you follow her instructions you will pass without difficulty. I will take her again for 1102

You will earn your grade. Ms.Jennings does not give out A's. Very Helpful,Down to earth. does not put up with slackers. Put in effort and you will get an A!

She is very humorous but takes her job very seriously. Quizzes over readings are Extremely Easy as long as you actually read everything assigned & participate in discussions in class. However, the essays MUST be perfect in order for her to give you a decent grade. I did learn a lot by the time I got done w/the final research paper :) & I got an A

Her work is not very hard, yes alot of writing and a few group assignmens but for the most part I enjoyed her as a teacher. I would recommend her to other students.

Entertaining class. Professor Jennings was upbeat and funny. You will read a lot and discuss everything but it's interesting. I think it helped the class was real small too.

I don't understand why several people are commenting that she's this amazing professor and the class isn't bad. She's a really tough grader and expects you to know how to write a great essay as if you're in Enc1102 . She's a cool teacher and all but her grading is tedious because she makes off the simplest things. Wouldn't take her again!!!!

She is very outgoing and nice. There are three essays and one research paper. Students can even bring in their papers (for her class) and she will completely proofread them. I would recommend her to anyone.

There is no doubt that Professor Jennings is there to help! She is so awesome and so helpful. Fair warning she can be very picky with even the slightest little details other than that she is an awesome professor and I would recommend her to anybody.

Definitely loved her class. Work hard to get a good grade. Pretty clear about what she assigns. Stuck to the syllabus. No surprises. Great professor altogether!

She doesn't have a long class, so you're only in the class for an hour tops. There's almost no homework except for working on the essays. There are only around 3-4 essays, then you have to work on the research paper, where you are given a lot of time to finish as she goes through the step by step process with you.

She definitely helped me write about the things I love. I always got A's on my essays except maybe one B-. She likes for you to be real and personal in your essays. Im a very private person but I did this & it helped me write. I wrote papers the night before it was due & got A's. She hates when ppl go to the bathroom repeatedly but that's expected

I'm disappointed that she doesn't teach Comp 2, I wouldn't consider changing to another professor if that was the case. The things she teaches are the things she looks for when grading, and has a good sense of humor. I completely recommend her.

She's A good teacher but you have to work for your grade. She is very understanding and will help you if you have any problems. The class calls for a textbook but you only use it ONCE !!! You have FOUR papers that you have to write the first THREE are preparing you for the final paper witch is the Research Paper. You must EDIT Your PAPERS

Great professor. She is always there to help when you need it. She gives you examples papers of how she wants your essay/research paper done and goes in detail on how you should write your essay. Don't plagiarize and work hard, for it will reflect on your grade. Research paper can boost your grade or hurt it.

I got to take her for her Monday 3 hour night class and I enjoyed it! There was some witty humor to her lectures and some good information. She will teach you how to write a paper and help you along with it! Tip: DON'T TURN IN LATE WORK. She was an AMAZING choice for a teacher and I recommend her to anyone taking ENC1101.

She is an amazing professor. It's not hard to pass her class. I hate English, but her class was my favorite. She makes clear rubrics and shows student examples. You can come to her for help any time.

I had Prof Jennings my first semester at Polk and I really enjoyed her class. The essays she assigned were fun to write and before the final paper was due, she had two class periods for half the class to come and have their final draft reviewed by her, and the other half came on the other day.

She definitely makes you work for your grade, but she's reasonable and will always help if you need it (I remember when she explained to me about dangling modifiers). She tells you exactly what she wants and has a sense of humor. I wish she taught Comp II!

Professor Jennings is probably the best prof. I've had so far. I wish she was teaching Comp 2. She's got a good sense of humor and is easy to talk to. She's extremely helpful and easily accessible through her email or office hours. The work isn't hard if you write in a way that shows your personality. She gives really good feedback too.

I wish that more of the professors were like her. When you pay for a class and have an expectation to learn things that you either didnt know or havent used in years, she clears it all up and has you leave the class in high spirits. She is very helpful and straight forward about her expectations. she makes time for you to meet during office hours

I took English before with another professor and didn't pass but I took it with professor Jennings and everything about that class was amazing. Not only was she a great teacher but she was very welcoming and loving and lets not forget hilarious. I am hoping she teaches comp2 in the fall . I would 10/10 recommend her.

Jennings is an amazing professor. She is very clear about what she wants and cares about the students. She always tries making language puns and they never turn out in her favor. You will definitely learn how to write in her class and have fun doing it. Not allowed to miss more then 3 days however. I would definitely take her again!

I would definitely take Professor Jennings again. She's nice as long as you follow directions and are on time/actually there. Always gave good, clear feedback on papers. If you show you care for your grade, she will definitely work with you. She makes you work for your grade, but that's a given. I had been out of school for 2 years and did great!

I loved this class and this professor! Professor Jennings is a great teacher and truly wants her students to succeed. She almost always lets class out early and rarely gives homework. You do have to put in effort to get an A in her class, but she is more than willing to help aid her students. Highly recommend this class!

8/10. Bring a folder/binder because she prints out everything. She makes it clear on what she wants from you and enjoys talking with her students about general things (without wasting class time). Class is usually done within 30 minutes, no textbooks and she gives no extra credit (except for one "insurance assignment"). VERY grammar heavy.

Professor Jennings is a truly English pro for teaching, she is understandable, she will teach you everything about writing, and if you struggle and she sees you trying your very best she will bump you a letter grade only if you do exactly what she says, she will also give you a lot of extra credits so that you can get a passing grade she is a pro.

She is very caring, does assign essays but is very helpful when needed, even at night she emails back when she can. love her class and would take her again.

Professor Jennings was really helpful when it came to giving good feedback to help you improve. I emailed her a question once about my essay and she emailed me back multiple examples I could use. She is easy to reach and genuinely cares about her students. There is ample amount of time to complete her essays and they are generally fun to do.

Professor Jennings is an alright professor. She is kind and understanding, but can sometimes be harsh and whimsical with her grading. Note that she rarely awards A's and seems to admit that she is a critical professor; however, I assume that the scarcity at which she awards A's is moreso a consequence of student inactions. The best comp professor.

Professor Jennings is a fantastic College Comp I professor, and I would recommend her to anyone needing to take the class. She explains the grading criteria very thoroughly. If you follow her instructions carefully, it is not too hard to get a good grade. She is very understanding and flexible. Highly recommend!

Prof. Jennings was the best! I wish she taught ENC1102 so I could take her again. I really enjoyed her class & the work load was very manageable, just discussion posts, a few quizzes and I want to say 3 papers. The research paper is tough, and I did poorly on it because I was incredibly unmotivated. However, that wasn't any fault of Prof. Jennings.

Good professor, gives good feedback and gives only 4-5 essays to do. Final essay is topic of choice on a few things

2 essays, a couple of in-class assignments and quizzes, and a 5-page research paper of your choice. The only downside is that she takes about a month to grade the essays. Minimal work compared to other English classes but will say that she is a tough grader for a community college professor.

Professor Jennings is a fair grader who expects a lot from her students. Her class has several essays, but the workload is manageable. For study prep, I found unstuck study and the course resources very helpful in understanding the requirements.

I loved Professor Jennings. She's easy to work with, very accessible, and she overall teaches a good class. It's important to show up on time, every time (she will appreciate it). She makes it easy if you come to class, and her work isn't overwhelming. I would definitely take her again!
