She is very nice and cares about your grade. when i had her she really didnt take attendance so just show up and take notes and its an easy A.
she is amazing. One of the nicest teachers I've had. She teaches history more like a story, not just a bunch of facts being thrown at you. Read your textbook and your basically set. Her papers and quizzes are easy if you put some effort into them. Overall great teacher
She is awesome..great story teller when talking about history. One of the best prof at Blinn.
Ms. Ard is possibly my favorite teacher I have had at Blinn. She makes it very possible to get an A in the class. She offers at least 5 pts. extra credit on all tests and the 3 papers are easy. She really wants all of her students to succeed and do well. Go to class and take notes and you will be set :)
She is an awesome teacher! I HATED history before this class and now can't wait to take her next semester to learn more! Her reviews are extremely helpful. If you take the optional exam she drops your lowest test grade. She only had office hours on Fridays, but literally every time I asked for help she allowed me to come in the next day.Great prof!
She is a great teacher! she is very clear in her directions. She lectures every day but gives you the power points online. Study the notes you take in class and you will do fine!
Ms. Ard was so awesome! I truly loved learning in her class. I used to think history was so boring until her. It was easy to make an A. She provided multiple extra credit opportunities and she was so fun to learn from. Highly recommend!
Mrs. Ard is a great teacher, but a little crazy. She is very funny and keeps class interesting. Very possible to get an A and as long as you do what you need to do you should easily pass.
AMAZING teacher! She is so passionate about history! I don't find history very fascinating but with her as a teacher she made it interesting and the class was enjoyable. Definitely take her! She gives extra credit, reviews for the tests, and she gives you outlines for the paper so you aren't writing it blind. AMAZING teacher!
Take this professor. Her tests are not hard and the review helps (bonus points!). She keeps the class entertained...don't just sit there, get involved. It will help you remember things for the test. Her essays are pretty easy too.
She is very passionate and she tends to walk a lot around class and makes jokes which was great! it really helped in remembering things! her essays are very clear and you have outlines to help you out! tests are not bad as long as you take notes and study them the tests won't be that bad, If you need help, just ask! she likes when you ask questions
She is awesome! She is very helpful, and her lectures aren't bad at all. She usually lets you out early and the blended class is SUPER easy! I'm definitely taking her for my second history!
I LOVE HER. you will never be taught by any other history teacher that loves history as much as she does. HER LECTURES ARE AMAZING SHE GETS SO INTO THEM AND BASICALLY ACTS IT OUT. Her grading is clear cut and precise. I LOVE HER. I took her for both history! TAKE HER
She is great. I took her blended course so we only met once a wk and I would really recommend it! You can take a heavy class load, like I took Bio and Chem and it wasn't bad. There are 10 online quizzes using the book (she literally gives all the answers' pg #) But show up to class bc her tests are ALL lecture based and she changes from txtbook
High energy lectures, book needed for online quizzes, she's super outgoing and basically outlines everything you need to do to pass. Easy A for history credit. She really cares about history and actually knows interesting facts not found in any book which makes it fun. Wish I could take her again, super fun and sweet lady. 10/10
Professor Ard is amazing when it comes to lectures. She is very animated and often paces around the room while teaching and I found this to be very effective. I was able to learn better because she was so passionate about what she was saying. I was in her blended class so the one time per week that I did have lecture, I always enjoyed it.
She is very easy to work with. Got a C on my first paper, went in to have her review the second one and got a 100. She cares as long as you do. As long as you show up and fill in the notes she writes for you you'll get an A. I did, even though I didn't do that well on the first paper. She is very forgiving and all quizzes are open book/notes.
SHE IS THE BEST! Prof. Ard truly cares about her students and is willing to work with them on anything. Print out all the skeleton notes and fill them in during lecture and study assigned vocab for tests and you'll do fine. Quizzes are online based on book material and are an easy A! Go to her for help so she sees your trying. I'm taking her again.
Do not worry about the essays. Quizzes had page numbers for each question to find the answer. Just look over skeleton notes for tests and you'll be fine. Final exam is questions from tests. You couldn't look up quiz online so just skim through textbook. Easy A
Took this blended course and met once a week. I loved it, he teaching style and powerpoints are great and go along perfectly with her skeleton outline she provides on ecampus. Quizzes online and she provides page numbers for each question. Tests are easy and if you study your outline you will pass!
Never have I had a professor so passionate about what she is teaching! Professor Ard gives so much life to her lectures. This was a blended course and the quizzes online were easy. Study the review for the exams and you will be just fine. There are two essays but she grades fairly. TAKE HER you will not regret it!
I have never done so good in a history class and history has never been my subject. I took the blended class which is not bad at all. Reminders are sent before anything is due and her lectures are super interesting!!! Quizzes online come from the book and tests are very straightforward. Amazing professor!!! Take her!
Professor Ard is great! I love her teaching method and I learned so much in this class! I took the blended class, so we only met once a week. Her tests are straight from the skeleton notes and class lectures, and the online quizzes are open book. She's very animated and you can tell that she loves teaching history! Definitely one of the best!!
I love Professor Ard's excitement for History. Her excited attitude is what kept me awake in this class. She's kinda quirky, but it makes the class more interesting. There are 10 quizzes in which you need the book. Has skeleton notes you fill out during class, and then that's the review for the test. Just go to class and listen and you'll be fine.
Most amazing history professor ever! I took her for 1301 and 1302 and love her so much. Lectures are so interesting and I used to hate history! I recommend her to everyone as class is super entertaining and easy.
Prof. Ard is the BEST! I took her blended class for history 1301 & 1302 and it really was the easiest and most beneficial history class Ive hard. She is very smart and loves the material she teaches. Fill out skeleton notes during class & rewrite assigned vocab from the book and easy A. I got a B because Im lazy but shes the best love her <333
Great professor! I took her for a 9am hybrid class so we only met once a week. Most energetic professor she really got into her lectures and tried to make them enjoyable. She has power points that explain almost everything and what isn't on the power point comes straight from the book. Do not get on your phone in class or fall asleep!!!
She was a good professor. I passed her class with an A which was a blended class. It was fairly easy as long as you read the material, do the skeleton notes, finish and study the reviews, and don't mind her constant pacing while lecturing. She really has a passion for history.
I took Professor Ard in a blended class, so once a week we meet for class. I cannot say enough good things about Professor Ard. She genuinely cares about her students and really engages in her lectures. She makes her students actually interested. She gives clear guidelines as to how she grades. Exams are super easy just study! Take her!
One of the best history professors at blinn! Come to class, take notes and study!! The tests are so easy and everything on it is from the lectures. She literally tells you the bonus questions you'll see on the test. Also Prof Ard makes history enjoyable and really cares about her students.
Professor Ard teaches using PowerPoint lectures, there is not much homework besides a few papers (which has clear criteria, and if everything is met, you'll most likely receive a 100). It is important to take notes in class off of the power points, her test reviews are good indicators of how tests will look. **Show up to class for bonus questions**
She is the best prof i have had since being here in college station. Her blended course is super easy. Online work takes a few hours a week MAX, her class is always entertaining as she is super sweet and quirky, and her exams are fairly easy. The textbook is VERY important, as a lot of questions on her exams come from vocabulary in the textbook.
Don't approach her with questions outside of class because she will give attitude. In class, very energetic and obviously passionate about the subject. Weird woman but the class is super easy, I got 100 on all 3 essays, and A's on all exams. show up to class for bonus questions on every exam. taking her again this semester for HIST 1301
She knows what she's talking about when it comes to history which makes her class all the more interesting. Only assignments we had was 3 essays, teaches with PowerPoint, gives reviews for each of her tests, and has bonus questions on her tests. I suggest paying attention, reading the textbook, and take notes. Drops lowest test grade!
Mrs. Ard is an extremely cool and good professor. She explains the content in an interesting way that is easy to remember. She basically makes it impossible to fail the class. Each test there is ten extra bonus points that she says during lecture so go to lecture!
Her class is really easy. U may find it hard through the first test, but then the rests are easy. Just need to listen to her lectures, read the books, then A is on your hand.
I struggle with History and this woman made things so clear. She teaches like everything is a story. Even as an 8 AM class, I was able to pay attention because she was just so entertaining. Tests are super easy and she is a delight.
Professor Ard loves what she teaches . i had her at 8 am and she was always happy and made the class enjoyable for a morning class. She makes powerpoints and if you copy them and listen to what she says about each you'll pass easy! She tells you exactly what the bonuses will be. She tells you to buy the book but i never used it, its just for vocab.
Weird, but nice. Take light notes and make an easy A.
Was a great teacher. Take notes in the lecture and you'll pass the exams. She gives bonus and test questions and answers. Four exams, Four vocab quizzes, One Final. Super easy class.
I took her for 1301 and 1302 and loved her both times. She's a crazy lady (in a good way!) with lots of energy to keep you awake for a morning class. She obviously loves history and explains everything so well. She gets angry/annoyed when you don't participate so beware!! But an Easy A. You will love this class!
By far one of the most passionate professors at Blinn. Her class was amazing I loved every moment of it. She genuinely cares for her students. She makes sure you know the subject matter and takes time on crutial areas.
She's got loads of energy. Lectures are always fun. Four exams, four quizzes, also one paper that we had to write, and a final. She seems to change them every semester. Take notes. She moves through the slides pretty fast so shorthand them if you feel the need to. But overall, easy class.
Her "blended" class really wasn't blended as there were very minimal online assignments, so you pretty much just have to sit through her class for an hour a week. I put in the very minimal time and effort into the class and still easily made an A. Would recommend especially if you hate history because this class wasn't too painful.
she is the best
Mrs. Ard is one of my favorite professors at Blinn! She genuinely cares about her students as well as the subject. The way she teaches makes it easy to remember and easy to stay focused. I loved her class so much that I'm taking her HIST 1302 class this semester!
I cannot stress enough how truly awesome Professor Ard is. Her lectures are always so interesting and I never leave confused. Take notes in class because the tests are very similar. Do yourself a favor and take her!!!!!!!
Ard has a lot of personality so it was easy to be engaged in her lectures. Tests and quizzes are super easy. There's one paper that's also really easy. Overall nice prof and easy A class.
She has so much energy during her lectures - likes to scream and run around the room. Her quizzes are all vocabulary from the book but the definition is of her own choosing. Her exams are based completely on her lectures, they can all be reviewed on quizlet. The one paper she assigned did not have good instructions and she did not explain it well.
I absolutely loved Professor Ard! She is very animated during her lectures, but that's what makes it fun & easy to understand! Make sure you always show up to class to take notes! Not only does she test more on what you hear in lecture, but the way she explains it makes it easy to understand! I wish I took her for 1301. I definitely recommend her!
amazing!!! shes an awesome teacher and even better person.
Professor Ard is my absolute favorite history teacher. She is very passionate about what she talks about and even gives interesting facts about history that will stick in your head. The class was very easy, as she gives you quizzes and tests but she reviews it so that you can pass.
I like professor Ard I thought taking her class would be easy but honestly its difficult when trying to listen to her talk about so many different things at once. Her lectures are loud, interesting, & kinda hilarious. Down fall about this class is test and quizzes are all based on her lectures. Dont miss class or you wont pass. Sit in the front!
She was a very good professor but she always seemed to have downed 3 energy drinks before class-she'll definitely keep you awake. She taught of slides and gave you basically an outline of notes regularly to make sure you're taking the right notes. Vocab quiz answers came straight from the textbook & she also has a good extra credit option.
Her lectures are easy to listen to and her tests are easy too. Easy A + she is really nice and fun! She also gives a loott of extra credit and will even let you turn things in late. She let me take a test late too!!
Her class is never boring. I took her 7:45 am class, and I never once fell asleep. She is an amazing teacher, but I personally and just a bad test-taker, so I struggled there. Her tests follow her lectures and round up your grade at the end if you're up to 2 points from a different letter grade. Love this professor! She really wants you to do well!
Professor Ard gives you plenty of opportunities to get the best grade possible. The tests are a little challenging but she gives notes to study with.
Professor Ard was so helpful and such a great teacher! She really cares about history and makes it very entertaining! I didn't get bored listening to her lectures and she provides fill in notes to kind of guide you through the lesson. Overall, a great teacher that really cares about your success.
I had Professor Ard for an 8 week course and absolutely loved it! You can tell she really cares what she's talking about and is good with giving information. Ard gives notes that almost match the test questions and makes the tests easy.
She'd always be late to class (usually by about five minutes), but by the end of the semester, she was cancelling class without emailing us. She'd only let us know once a student emailed her asking where she was. She's just inconsiderate of people's time, especially at 9 am. Also, all of her assignments are due at 5pm, so don't procrastinate.
Professor Ard is a super nice professor and pretty laid back. Only thing you really need the textbook for is the vocab for the test. The tests are pretty easy if you pay attention and go along with the "review' she gives out before you start the chapter. Final is really long but is open note so it's not bad.
Professor ard was great! super passionate lady, pretty freaking funny, and really good at setting you up for success, you just have to do your part. she gives guided notes and vocab sheets. i would recommend writing nearly everything she says down because some test questions are a little random, but overall she was fantastic and I HATE history, so.
She was probably one of the easiest history teachers I ever had in my life. Shes very organized on the things that we as students are doing just make sure you do the skeleton notes with the power points when she lectures and youll do just fine.
She loves what she teaches and is very enthusiastic about it. She is pretty clear in her lectures and tells you exactly how she formats the exam questions. We only had 5 discussion posts, 3 exams, and the final exam. Super easy work load and she even curves your average in the class if it's close enough to the next letter grade. Easy class!
One of the best teachers I've had. Only assignments were a 5 discussions which were easy 100s, 2 exams, and final. The final was open note and really easy. She gives out notes that are basically what the exams are over. Only bad thing is the 2 exams are worth 70% of your grade so if you do bad on one your screwed. Study notes and you'll make an A
All of the prof's lectures were interesting, and the tests came straight off of the powerpoints. I feel like I actually learned in this class, and I didn't have to worry about the tests being so far off the notes. She is also very kind and will help with any questions.
If you're doing history take her 100% .This is easily one of the most caring professors I've had She truly makes sure every single student gets the help they need. She makes her lectures fun and interesting. I would most definitely take her class again.
I always enjoyed going to this class--her lectures are very entertaining and so is she, shes pretty funny. The test do follow the notes in class, but sometimes I feel like the questions were random and focused on small details. Other than that I really recommend her!
Ards class was great. She is so enthusiastic to teach history and it makes the lectures very interesting. She provides skeleton notes but sometimes doesnt always go into depth about all the questions so Id suggest doing some outside research on your own and the class is a breeze. Final exam is made up of old test questions - hard to fail.
Easy class, questions repeat on the final. She is clear about stuff that will be on the test. I would take her in the afternoon Bc she is a little slower in the morning. Legit there is only 10-12 assignments. For the ID term just memorize enough of them so you are guaranteed to know the ones that get chosen instead trying to memorize all of them.
I truly learned in her class because she made it clear all of the important material that we needed to know for exams and such!
Professor Ard is the best teacher Ive had this semester. She is an absolutely amazing lecturer. Im not a history person and I didnt spend one moment in her class confused on the content. She gives you everything youll need for the exam, no surprise questions and has pre written notes for you to follow along! Shes great and makes learning fun!
She is by far the best history teacher i have ever had. She makes the criteria so easy to undestand and shes pretty funny. I have never been good at history it was always my least favorite class but i look forward to her lectures she makes it fun and its nice to just have a class i can breathe in and get to actually know what im learning.
TAKE HER!! Easiest class, only grades are discussion posts and exams. She gives you everything you need for exams, such as skeleton notes. ID terms are a little more hard, but not impossible (be as specific as you can!!) Overall, an amazing lecturer and professor!
Great professor! As long as you show up and really pay attention during lecture you should get an easy A! I've never really enjoyed history but her class was awesome. Take her if you can!
All tests on honorlock, and she gets back to emails very fast. She is very good at her lectures and makes sure everyone understands them. I would definitely take her again.
I loved her class for history. Take her class if you can! tests were not very hard, little homework and she made the material so easy to learn. There were a couple things in the textbook that she never went over in class but were on the tests but it is easy information to find. She made going to class enjoyable, definitely taking her class again!
I loved taking Professor Ard's class. Me personally, history wasn't always my best subject, but I managed to pass the class with an A. The lectures were very easy to understand, and she had little homework. Definitely recommend!
Professor Ard is one of the best teachers I have had at blinn! Her lectures are really good and super interesting and she provides notes that you fill in in class. Her tests are exactly like your notes: beware of t/f and select all that apply. There are 2 tests, a take home essay, and a final. make sure you do good on the tests! I LOVED this class
The class, tests, and final were really easy. There's little homework and she'll drop two attendances. Sometimes you have a "pop quiz" at the end of the lesson, but you're allowed to use your notes, so it's easy.
Took her 8wk Spring class. Overall amazing professor! Made her presentations very interesting and also had fill in notes to help you understand. A random pop quiz in class but very easy, plus grades attendance. All test and final were easy just study your notes and look over old test! Great person overall!
professor Ard is great! she gives you skeleton notes to fill out and to use to study for the tests. she is a very easy grader and makes her lectures very interesting and funny. you will have to go to class because she takes participation grades but otherwise the class is very easy.
I had her for a summer class and she was AMAZING. She has really great/fun lectures. Learned more in her class than I ever have in History. 10/10 recommend.
Very lecture based but she posts them online so u can go back and look and PowerPoints and the lesson itself. She is not a difficult grader but you do want to show up to class because there are pop quizzes (super easy tho). Exams are in class and be careful on the first one make sure u study well!
very lecture based but the way she teaches is like a story so its super easy to unerstand, she also posts the PowerPoints and lesson itself online. Be careful on exam 1 it was pretty difficult but the rest were easy, I did the 8 week course.
This class was SO easy! She gives "pop quizzes" but she'll tell you exactly what the questions will be. The test are very easy if you fill out the skeleton notes and she does not grade hard at all. I took her for a 8 week history class and i only had 2 exams, 5 discussion post, and 1 essay. TAKE HER! It was so easy and she post all of her lectures!
I took a blended, 8 week class with Professor Ard and I would definitely take her again. She explains everything really well on her lectures, both in person and online. She makes sure to include all the details that will be on the tests and if you have a question she will explain until you understand.
Professor Ard was great! You have to attend lectures as there are pop quizzes but you can use your notes on them. Make sure you study very well for the 2 exams she gives because each takes up 30% of your grade. If you fail one you are likely not the get an A. Not much homework at all only 4 discussion post.
Professor Ard was great, I have always loved history so her lectures were pretty interesting to me. I took an 8 week course and we had 2 main test, a paper (nothing crazy), and the final. Rest of the grades are pop quizzes and discussion posts which are super easy. STUDY for the tests, its not a blow off, but its not hard. (can use notes on final)
She is by far my favorite professor. I have never done well in history, but she makes her lectures very engaging. 2 exams are worth 60% of your grade, but if you watch the videos and fill in the skeleton notes you will do good. Final is not proctored and majority of it is old test answers, which she gives back and will give the right answers.
You're only allowed to have two absences and I think she'll take points off if you're gone more than that. There's 4 easy discussion posts and one major writing assignment. Tests are super super easy if you pay attention and study everything she says. Literally such a good professor 10/10 class
If every Blinn professor set up their class like Prof Ard does, every Blinn student would thrive. Not only is she caring, but she makes her lectures so interesting that you WANT to learn. The tests are an easy A as long as you utilize her skeleton notes. She is truly so such and empathetic and kind soul.
She talks a LOT, but she was a really sweet women. My grandma passed away and I had to attend her funeral the day of our midterm, and she let me reschedule for whenever I was ready.
she loud asf
SWEETEST LADY EVER!! Yes there's lots of notes and lectures can get boring, but she is going to work with you to get you a good grade IF you show her you care. She usually will take late work before the next test, very understanding, and truly does care for you. Just show her you respect her and she will do the same.
Professor Ard is an amazing professor! He lectures are very easy and she is funny so it becomes entertaining. History is boring but she makes it entertaining. Notes are easy and she will take them late. Tests are just like the notes. She is super easy to talk to and is very sweet. I would 100% take her class again!
Professor Ard has a great teaching style - her lectures are engaging and she provides helpful materials online. With some diligent studying, even the exams are manageable. Unstuck study was a great complement to the course materials.
Prof. Ard makes her lectures VERY clear on what you need to know for the exams. Although there is a good amount of notes you need to take on your own outside of class, her skeleton notes are identical to the tests. Her lectures are very interesting. I took an 8-week course so it was more fast paced and only 2 major exams that are 60% of grade
Professor Ard was amazing. I've never been able to remember history like I have from her class. I took her 8week and I 100% recommend. She is lecture heavy, and she takes very little grades, BUT her skeleton notes are word for word questions on the exams, and as long as you listen and take notes you should pull an easy A.
By far the best professor I have taken at Blinn. She makes her lectures very interesting and explains them in a way that keeps you engaged. I would 100 % recommend her. She also offers extra credit. I took a blended 8 week course and it was easier than I thought because she tells you exactly what you need to know for tests.
such a great professor! she lectures a good bit in class and in online videos, but is very helpful. only had 2 exams plus a final but exams are worth 60% so study.
I took an 8 week course. have text book but isn't tested on, drops 3 lowest discussion posts, 3 lowest inquizitives, and gives extra credit at end of term. She canceled class a lot. She made lectures entertaining. 2 exams worth 60% in person. Final is online at home with no proctoring. Had to do a lot of lectures online.
Honestly a really great professor! Buttt a 60% weight for 2 exams is crazy. Made a 62 on the first one & an 89 on the second one with 100s on everything else- still wasnt enough to get me an A. Attending lectures is definitely worth bc she goes over skeleton notes which are 70% of the exam. I'd recommend her, just wouldn't personally take her again
There's only 3 exams total. The first 2 are 60% of your grade and the final is only 10%. Half of the exam questions are true/false which I found very tricky. Workload is pretty light but if you study by learning key words and events/what they tie to, I do not recommend her, as you have to learn every little detail of the exam material to even pass.
Take her class! She had incredible lectures that never felt long. I took her class as an 8 week class blended and though it moved really fast she was able to spread everything out making it underwhelming. You take two exams both easy if you take notes in lecture. If you stay on top of everything it will be an easy class. Overall she was fantastic!
Literally the easiest class I took. Took Professor Ard for 1301 & 1302 (8-weeks) and got an A+ for both. I never felt stressed with the assignments. She responded back with respectable time and often understood situations that popped up. You do have to read the textbook to fully understand but textbook was like max a 1hr reading
