She is a very sweet professor and cares a lot about how everyone is doing and wants everyone to succeed! She is funny and her lectures go by super fast! Her tests are pretty hard and very in-depth but have some good open note quizzes and extra credit assignments to help your grade! Overall great teacher, you just have to be ready to study a lot!!

One of the best professors I've had for a science class. She cares about her students and is very transparent about what is going to be on exams. She even reached out to me saying that she's noticed a drastic improvement in my performance and said if I continued, she would talk to me about dropping my first exam grade. I really liked her and this class. It's is easy for someone who isn't super into science. She makes it fun and easy to learn the material. I missed a good amount of lectures in January due to surgery and I was still able to catch up and still get a good grade on the exams. There isn't much work required for this class, just lectures and studying.

I love this professor! She makes learning biology fun and easy. There are four tests and a non-cumulative final exam in this class. There's also an extra credit assignment that's fairly easy and a lot of bonus points. You have to go to class because the tests are from the lectures, but class is fun to go to and is usually let out early.

Bio 1010 was as standard as it gets, if you went to class and took notes, you passed easily. Tests were a little difficult because of the amount of material covered per exam, but nothing that studying can't help prepare you for. Professor Choi was attentive and tried to accommodate students needs as best she could.

She is very clear on expectations at the beginning of the semester. Our grades came from exams and quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory but she doesnt post the PowerPoints until the week before the Exam so its your favor to go to class and takes notes. I liked that we didnt have to get the textbook. Wish I could have had her for BIOL 1000

Pretty easy class. Very enjoyable and the lectures were informative, although she sometimes went a bit fast when she was going through the PPTs. She gave us plenty of helpful ways to study for our exams, including optional study questions that were posted for each unit and posting her PPTs online. She also had a great, positive personality!

She posts notes right before the tests and there are a lot of quiz grades, although she drops the lowest one at the end of the semester. 10/10 teacher.

Choi is an amazing instructor and super accessible if you are having issues. She is also super quick to respond to emails and provide assistance within 12-24 hours unlike many other instructors. The test can be a little bit large in the amount of content for each exam but she stioll does her best to help you out when you are struggling.

The material that was used within the exams was readily available within all her power points which she presents during the lecture. The exams were fairly easy if you studied the material that she provides within the study guides. The quizzes were so easy because they were open note. She clearly explains the information you're learning about.

I definitely recommend having Madeline Choi as your professor. I took the online BIO 1010 course with her and it was easy as long as you manage your time well. All of her lectures are on panopto and there is one quiz a week along with four exams total. She makes her lectures easy to understand and adds relatable examples.

You must watch all the 20-30 minute lectures to get the study material, but they are actually engaging and the professor is pretty funny. I recommend opting out of all access because the textbook isn't required and I never used it. I just watched the lectures, worked at my own pace, and got an A. I 100% recommend taking her course.

Love, love, love Choi! She's an amazing Biology teacher. I was in her remote class and she was both very funny and excellent at explaining the concepts of each lecture. She also provided extra resources if necessary. If I were a bio-major I would hope that she taught every one of my classes. 11/10!

After having a tough teacher for Intro to Biology (BIOL 1000) Ms. Choi was an amazing change of pace and I had a great semester in her class. I highly recommend taking her for Survey of Life if you have the chance, her lectures are easy to follow and at times very amusing.

A teacher I personally enjoy having. She often lets us know about weekly quizzes that supposed to help your overall grade. TAKE PROFESSOR CHOI!!! She is a hilarious biology teacher who truly cares about her students and gives great lectures. While her tests are difficult and in person, I never made below a B due to her teaching and studying her slides. The class I took was called survey of life, and I would honestly take it again because of how much I enjoyed Madeline!

This professor is more than willing to help you IF you communicate with her. She is a phenomenal teacher that just asks you to come to class, submit assignments on time, and follow her instructions. Her lectures are very clear cut and align pretty directly with the tests. She is extremely funny and I would 100% take her again.

I absolutely love Professor Choi. The way she lectures is so entertaining. You won't be penalized for not attending class, but you will get extra credit on quizzes for attendance. I had Madeline as my professor for BIOL 1020 and 1030 and she is the best professor I have had so far. You do have to put in study time if you want to receive a good grade but she does a lot to help you. She created an instagram account to help us learn new info for bonus throughout the semester and gives quizzes to help you review material.

Professor Choi is amazing. I've had her for BIOL 1020 and BIOL 1030 and she does an incredible job at giving lecture for both classes. If you pay attention, take decent notes, look at the powerpoints that she provides on canvas, do the quizzes, and at least study a little bit, you're guaranteed an A. I absolutely loved Choi! Seriously the one of the best professors I've had. This class is easy within itself but her lectures are very interesting and she is so funny. She gave close to up to 30 extra credit points. There's 6 quizzes and 4 exams (one is a cumulative final). Attendance is not mandatory but she does give some extra credit for going.

I've had Madeline for 1020 and 1030. Both were lecture-heavy, but she is very accessible outside of class for any extra help needed. There were numerous opportunities for extra credit and easy points in the class. The exams require extensive studying since there is a lot of material, but the class is manageable as long as you put in the effort.

This class is a lock if you need an interesting science class and want to learn something cool. I went to class but never took notes. Easy open note quizzes that take 5 mins maybe 2 times a month. I'd be interested to see the people who do badly because they might have special needs. I usually would flip through slides to study and get high B's

Madeline's lab was super helpful in regards to understanding lecture content better. She gives a TON of extra credit which is super helpful at the end. Definitely take her!

Even though in Bio lab you never meet Madeline, she is a very easily accessible and caring person! All of the GTAs that run her lab are great and if you have any questions that they cannot answer, she is always available and makes the lab straightforward and not difficult at all! She wants her students to succeed (especially with an A)!!!

She is the person in charge of the introductory biology labs and she hardly visits the lab, so it really comes down to the GTA. There is so much extra credit built into the class that as long as you participate and put a little bit of effort in, you will get an A. A majority of people, myself included, had over 100% in the class.

Madeline is such a wonderful person and a great lab instructor! MED lab was so fun and she was so kind and friendly. She is a breath of fresh air when it comes to labs!

She is the new coordinator for the intro bio labs and already is so much better. Go to lab, do the quizzes, and you will be fine. Study for the practicals though and the GTAs are really helpful

Dr. Lazenby's 1021 Lab was SO easy. Pre-lab info was done at the beginning of the week, we don't really do much in the labs and we were usually done in 30 minutes. Attendance is very important (obviously for a lab). But this was an easy A. She will give extra credit just for doing your work on time. Keep up with your assignments and all is well!

BEST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD! Please take her for BIOL1030 if you can. You can tell she really loves teaching and cares about what you're learning which is reflected in her lectures. Very relatable and makes attending class fun. Take good notes and follow the instagram to read about organisms she posts because they are bonus points on test.

A great professor, tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class. Make sure to study and do the homework, as the tests are often similar to it.

SO easy! There's so much extra credit, you can bomb the exams and still come out with over 100 in the class.

You do not see much of this professor, as you only deal with your TA. However, she is very nice and helpful when you do need her. This class is literally a free A if you just show up and do the work. There is a ton of extra credit as well.

I loved having her! The lab was not super demanding and had lots of extra credit opportunity. Also allowed to miss 2 labs with no excuses needed.

Unlike some of the other labs at Auburn, the exams are made of images and diagrams that you've seen before. There is a lot of extra credit offered so there will mot be much stress put on the midterm and final. Definitely would recommend taking the lab!

My favorite lab I've taken. Amazing GTAs with a ridiculous amount of bonus. You even have 2 free unexcused absences for labs. Take her!

Lots of extra credit (like i had a 117% at one point) but really difficult pre-lab quizzes. Closed note quiz for a stupidly long and hard-to-read reading. The actual lab was cool and we never went the full 2 hours. Gives 2 freebie absences, and the post-lab quizzes were easy. So much memorization for the final though.

Lazenby has been one of the easiest lab coordinators I have had! She gives tons of extra credit, is forgiving of absences, and is pretty hands off in terms of the labs. The exams come straight from the slides which are posted. I ended this class with over 100% so its a nice gpa booster if you do your work! 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Lazenby is always super understanding and accessible. The lab is so easy as long as you read the pre-lab manuals, but she gives so much extra credit that as long as you show up for the lab you should make an A.

Dr. Lazenby is very friendly, accessible, and gives frequent bonus opportunities. You have to go to the lab and prepare for the pre-lab quizzes (very short and easy), but you will get a ton of extra credit if you just try and will probably finish with near a 100% or more.

The labs all have pre-lab quizzes that are about 6 questions and really short, but if you prepare for them you can likely get a 100 on them all and she sends out the questions on them before the lab anyways. Tons of extra credit is offered and you would have to purposely try to fail the class in order to get lower than an A or maybe B.

She is an amazing person. She keeps you entertained during lecture and prepares you very well. She does extra credit assignments. If you take notes and go to class, you will do well in her class. She is probably the best bio teacher you could take and she genuinely cares about her students.

Actually the best lab coordinator there is. She gives such much extra credit and tells you in the email she sends out on mondays what's gonna be on the pre lab quiz.

An angel!! So genuinely kind and gets back to emails within a few hours. Gives SO MUCH extra credit and is very clear about what to expect on exams/quizzes in class. As long as you pay attention to Canvas announcements and keep up with (minimal) studying every week, you will be just fine!

She is actually the best professor I had. She responds to your emails right away despite having so many students and she is so understanding. Her labs are not challenging and gives you so many opportunity's for extra credit, it is quite literally impossible to fail this class. She's the best, if you can take her definitely take her!!!

Professor Lazenby is great. She shows an awesome personality during her lectures and truly cares about her students' well-being. However, if you're struggling, GO REACH OUT TO HER FOR HELP!! You will get out of it exactly what you put into the class.

I had Sydney Wayne as a GTA and both her and Professor Lazenby was great. As a non-bio major it was easy for me to excel in this class just by putting in the work and showing up. Lots of extra credit, most of my friends are finishing the class with more than 100%. Just apply yourself and you'll do great. Highly recommend.

Madeline's the best lab coordinator. She made biology labs so fun and easy. She really cares about her students and always wants the best for you. She gives lots of extra credit and tells you what is going to be on every quiz and even on the final. I would take her a million more times. Also I had Liz as my GTA and I love her. She's the best!!!

I love her! All of the labs were fun and engaging. There's lots of extra credit which definitely helps. Also, she's very good about posting announcements about upcoming things and giving hints about the next week's lab.

Theres a reason she has 5 stars!!! I cannot say enough good things about her. Great lectures, but everything is online. She is so sweet and funny! Usually 1 hw quiz a week, 3 tests, and a final. Gives study guides and prepares you well for everything graded. Attendance not mandatory, but I went to class because I loved her + you get extra credit!

My GOAT!! I loved her class every day. Made hard topics very easy to understand and was very helpful outside of class. Attendance not required but you get extra credit for going and she's just awesome so why would you skip?

Lazenby makes lab really easy and the attendance policy is really fair.

Overall great experience. Lab time was filled with a fair balance, depending on TA, of lecture (of what you cover in 1020) and actual experiments. She gives you an announcement about what is going to be on Pre-lab quizzes, and post lab quizzes are always very easy. Very minimal work outside of class, just reading lab manual to prepare for lab.

Tells you everything you need to know for quizzes/exams and sticks to it. Guaranteed A if you just briefly look over everything. Clear, kind, lots of bonus opportunities. Also gives you a freebie to miss a lab without penalty. I wish all lab professors were like her.

Dr. Lazenby is the lab coordinator so you will almost never see her. Your lab comes down to your GTA. However, the lab itself is extremely easy and so long as you spend maybe like 30 minutes the night before a quiz, then you will be perfect. Quizzes have built in extra credit. You can have up to at least a 115 in the lab. Plus, the lab was fun.

The lab itself is so easy. Takes maybe 30-45 minutes each week. You also get two free skips for the lab during the semester. Quizzes and tests are super easy.

The goat. I came into Auburn with a small background on bio and did very well in her class. She gives out five points of extra credit on each test if you just show up to 75% of classes. All tests come from the powerpoints, study anything she gives you. Final was very easy and she gave a study guide that was very close to the test.
