Great Professor excellent!!!

Professor Rex-Lear is awesome. Attendance is req'd b/c she does those CPS questions... don't worry lots of extra credit and tests aren't too bad if you review over the material. At first, she may seem real uptight and difficult but she's actually pretty cool. Plus she's got a cute lil' British accent.

really enjoyed her class. she has a slight accent but you get use to it. theres alot of important concepts in developmental pysc, but prof rex-lear makes it clear what she wants you to know. she gives tons of extrac credit opportunities so an A is definitely manageable if you put forth the effort

She's very intelligent and fun. Humorous. Awesome British accent. The material itself is interesting. She uses the CPS system quite heavily compared to all the other classes I had. Going to class everyday is a must because you get points for it which would go into your grade. Tests are challenging. It's good to study the book and powerpoints.

Fantastic teacher. Very good at presenting material. Tests are very reasonable. Attendance is mandatory. Easy to get an A if you go to class and read the book.

Incredible Teacher! Attendance is mandatory because she does random attendance checks and if you are there for all, you get 5 points on final grade. Sit in the first few rows! DO EXTRA CREDIT! Tests are easy if you study! I would recommend everyone to take this class! You will love it! (When she cusses with her English accent, it is adorable!)

She is the best, it nothing else to say. Study and you will pass the class.

I love her! Simply great! Just attend the class because she does take random attendance and if you're here for all 5 times, then you get extra point. She will give a lot of extra credit opportunities and those points get added to your final grade. So that's a good thing. Her test are easy if you study. Book is highly recommended, and take notes.

She is a great teacher! She is super funny! She gives a lot of extra credit that will be added to your final grade! If you read your book and take detailed notes especially the things that she elaborates on that are not on the slide show is very benefitial! Lovely woman

She is one the best professors I have ever had! She knows her stuff and how to apply it to everyday situations to make it easier to remember. You need to attend class. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!!! Her classes are always fun and interesting even when the topic you maybe discussing is bleak. Fun, lovely lady. :)

She's British and numerous, but beyond that she is smart and knows her stuff. Her lectures are informing, but hard to follow at times. Be prepared to scribble write a lot as she doesn't provide notes and a lot of her test DOES come from lecture. If you follow the study guides she provides you'll pass the exams. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! It's worth it!

She is an amazing professor! Take plenty of notes and attend class everyday, also do all of the extra credit! Easy A if you do all that!

Notes are a must in her class you only need the book for the homework. If you do all the work and make sure you attend her class you should pass.

She can be a bit strict at times. I hardly EVER used the books. Make sure to take good notes and do ALL of the Extra Credit. I received a 300/300 in the class. She's pretty interesting. DON'T LET YOUR PHONE GO OFF, she hates that!

My favorite professor of all time. Her classes vary in difficulty but overall I really enjoy her class. She really cares about her students,she's smart, and really enjoyable. If u want a cake walk class she isn't the right teacher for you. Take very good notes, buy the textbook, and attend class. If your hungry to learn she is perfect

Dr. Rex-Lear is a fantastic instructor. Her lessons are clear and she gives everything one would need to get an A but you just have to work for it. She is funny and makes the material interesting. If I could take every class with her, I would.

I've taken many of my psych classes with Dr. Rex-Lear and that's no accident. She is by far the BEST instructor I have ever had in my entire course of education. She does everything she can to help you learn. She utilizes dynamic teaching methods to reach everyone regardless of learning style and is totes amazeballs.

I took clinical and abnormal psych with her this semester and she was great! Tests are online and questions are hard so BE PREPARED. She's not too clear about the major projects for each class, but she's good on everything else. She also drops your lowest test grade. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!

Dr. Rex-Lear is an amazing professor. She really cares about her students and if you put forth the effort she will try to work with you. Her classes are interesting and if you take her for stats very mandatory or you'll miss something! She does give good grades where they are deserved and bad where those are. I highly recommend taking her!!

Clinical and Counseling. It was such an interesting class! Rex-Lear was wonderful. Her perspective on psychology makes you think. She cares about her students and is always available for help. Highly recommend.

Drops a test grade (which can be good or bad). Attend the lectures bc she deviates from the posted notes and that's what she tests on. Could be a little more clear on project guidelines. Overall she is a really good teacher. Very funny, makes the topics more interesting. Will make you dance in front of the class if your phone goes off!!

Dr. Rex-Lear is funny, and caring, she is always there for you if yo have any questions, if you do ASK!! She is going to make you earn your grade!!! If you take her for Research Design and Statistic don't skip class, and most important DO NOT skip Lab!! Lab is hard work and tests are word problems!!

Professor Rex Lear is one of the best professors I have ever had. Abnormal psych was tough, but she keeps the lecture very interesting; she's also pleasant to listen to bc of her British accent! Test's are ROUGH, but participation pointsproject grade made up for it. Long project, but she grades it easy. First time I would be sad to miss class.

This is my 3rd class with Rex-Lear. She's sweet and quirky. Lots of homework, but she gives you a good amount of time for it and allows a few that you can skip and still pass. Taking another class with her next semester. I kind of like having lots of homework because it gives you an easy A. Test and quizzes were online, so that was a big plus!

Just average for online, better in person.

Best Prof. at UTA. Had her for Abnormal, Clinical, Stats I & II, and Developmental - all that she teaches. She's a blast. Stats, jeez, holy cow, get ready, it's a whopper. All others, fun, right up my alley. If you want to learn, she's the one. Very funny, interesting, keeps the class rolling. Don't let your phone ring, she'll make you dance

Dr. Rex-Lear was awesome! She gives "attendance" grades which count for extra credit points. Easiest psych class I've ever taken. Tests and quizzes online but you can use your book. She always tries to help you succeed. Can't wait to take more of her classes!

Dr. Rex-Lear is by far the most influentual professor I've ever taken in my entire academic career. If you are not interested in Clinical and Counseling simply take a different course. You are expected to work hard to EARN your grade. This is what academia is all about. TIP: STUDY/pay attention/participate in discussion and you will do well. :)

She is absolutely my favorite professor I've ever had in college. She makes you work for your grade, but you truly do learn the information and she cares about you doing well in class. She is sarcastic and pretty hilarious, in my opinion. Lots of homework and studying so get ready, but between her and the multiple TA's, she offers TONS of help

This online class is a super easy A. You honestly have to TRY to fail this course--if you do, I have no hope left for you. 9 online quizzes with lowest grade dropped + required final exam worth equal number of points as other weekly quizzes. Offers lots of extra credit AND a chance to replace a bad quiz grade even still with a discussion assignment

Lots of homework and in-class assignments, and the tests are tough. It's just a tough class though, expect to work for your grade with any professor teaching this course. She is extremely helpful, has a good sense of humor, and offers a lot of information for receiving extra help including the TA's giving plenty of tutoring availability.

Easily my favorite Psych professor. She is wildly interesting, personable and funny. She is always willing to work with her students to figure things out and is understanding when students have other things going on. She stayed true to the syllabus. Extra credit for showing up. Easy tests and quizzes. Read through the assignments Duh. Great teacher

Dr. Rex-Lear is awesome! She's really funny and passionate about psychology in general. She also encourages questions/dialogue. She gave a lot of homework for this course which really makes or breaks your grade- for the most part it was simple. Also her tests were online so if you have the book (which you WILL NOT PASS without it) you'll do fine.

Dr. Rex- Lear knows what she is teaching about and makes it easy for the students to understand. She also is gracious with extra credit and has the students best interest.

I took her for developmental psych online. Very straight forward, do-able class. Read the book and you will make a good grade. Online quizzes and the final is just another quiz. No other assignments. Would take again.

This class is hell for those who aren't prepared. Attend lectures and study the powerpoints, and reading would help a lot. She can be very intimidating, but she really knows her stuff. DO ALL YOUR WORK IN LAB. It's easy to make an A in lab just by completing the assignments. Graded by combining points from lecture and lab.

Dr. Rex-Lear is one of the most respectable people I've come across. She genuinely wants you to do well, but will not tolerate laziness. She will call you out for constant absenteeism, and you will feel like a slug. Then you will want to win back her respect. It just happens that way.

She's a little intimidating, but she knows her stuff! She's clearly very passionate about psychology and has interesting perspectives. Just make sure you look like you're paying attention or else she'll call you out! Not at all an easy class, but doable if you put forth the effort necessary. On a side note, she has a beautiful accent! :)

Dr. Rex-Lear is an amazing professor who knows her stuff and really enjoys it. She helps her students and makes the course work interesting. Takes attendance randomly and if you aren't there on those days, it can really affect your grade. Lots of homework, projects and readings. She really wants her students to do well and is a funny, kind woman.

Took developmental psych online. It's a lot of reading & practice quizzes aren't really related to the actual quizzes, but if you read you should do fine. She also gives 2 extra credit assignments and an opportunity to make up one quiz. If you have time to read I would recommend this class. 9 quizzes, she drops 1, and the final is comprehensive.

She's nice and her class was extremely easy, but she tried too hard to be funny and was quite snobby at times. However, very easy class overall and explained things alright.

Rex-Lear is wonderful! Amazing lectures, very knowledgeable! But you WILL have to work hard. TONS of hwk (no lie), about 6-7 assignments, each are 2-3 pages of response. Also a diagnostic paper (8-10pgs). 3 Tests (50 MC) can be tricky, have to read the book THOROUGHLY and attend lectures to make an A. Not enough extra credit than last semesters.

Dr. Rex-Lear is amazing, don't let anyone tell you any different! I would take her for every psych course if possible. I saw that other people said to not take her if you're not a psych major...I'm not a psych major, and I did really well. Also, other students say that reading the book is mandatory. I did not read. Only studied the powerpoints.

I took the online class which consisted of 22 quizzes so an access code was necessary. One test due every week (each one over two chapters). As long as you read the book, you should be fine. No lock down browser.

3 exams (drops 1), 1 paper (25%) and homework/attendance (25%) Her lectures are interesting but dont really go over what will be on the test so you HAVE TO READ THE TEXTBOOK. Her test questions are really specific. Takes random attendance. You will have homework (short papers) due often but its easy. Sweet lady and a very interesting class.

I have taken her for 3 classes, don't expect it to be an easy A you have to work hard . I took stats 2444 with her this semester and she gives tones of extra credit. My only complaint is her TA's. My Friday lab TA had no idea what he was doing. Over all the class was great and I will take her if possible.

I've taken all the classes that she offers and she's great. She can be a bit intimidating, but she's a great instructor and really cares for her students. Tests can be difficult- just be sure to read the TB thoroughly and review ppoints, and you'll be good. Take lab seriously b/c it's easy to make full points there, and be sure to attend lecture.

Great class. As long as you read, you will make a good grade. Quizzes every week, as well as 5 short papers. Opportunity for 6 extra credit points. Overall, I would definitely take this class again.

Dr. Rex-Lear was amazing, the class is tough but doable. There were 3 lecture tests and 3 lab tests. Just read the textbook and look back over the power points (she provides them on blackboard) and you should be fine. She's also really sarcastic and funny, makes lectures go by fast

She makes you work for your grade for sure! She's tough, but fair and is always willing to help her students for the class and beyond. She's really funny in her lectures as well. Show up, pay attention, participate, ask questions, and you'll be just fine.

Her Psychology Stats sequence requires a lot of work, and you have to show up and pay attention. The projects are hard, but you walk away feeling super accomplished once you've finished them, and Dr. Rex-Lear makes sure you have all the resources and knowledge necessary to accomplish these goals. She is awesome, funny, and kind-hearted.

This online class was fairly easy. I was worried at first because it comes off as a lot of reading (plus powerpoints and notes). I bought the book but didn't really read any chapters. I also didn't really use the powerpoints. 4 tests (use quizlet), 2 papers, and 10 bonus points available. I would recommend this online class. It's fairly easy.

Very funny

I took this class online and it was pretty easy. Her some of her quizzes can be tough, and the 10 modules that she makes you do can be very tedious but overall it was a very easy class. She is very straight through and the work was very light (no essays etc.) Easy A if you can keep up with the course.

I took this class online; it's an easy A. Read the powerpoints she supplies and you'll be fine for the quizzes. No exams in this class only 9 quizzes and 14 learnsmart units (these kinda suck but are free 100's). I was happy with the workload of this course and I learned some really cool things!

Really easy class. Quizzes and final are all online. The only required assignments are the weekly quizzes and the reading assignments which is fairly easy but it does take some time to complete.

I took this class online, and let me tell you it was amazing. You have a quiz due every Monday at 10pm but it's open book/open note and you can take them at any time during the week. Optional extra credit discussions twice a semester. The only exam is the final, and if you've been doing well on the quizzes, you'll ace it!

8 quizzes. 10 LearnSmarts. 1 final exam. No papers. All assignments are open on first day of class. Super flexible scheduling. Can complete assignments at your own pace. A is completely achievable. Can do most assignments while watching Netflix or something.

There are 9 quizzes, one is dropped. One final exam. 10 learnsmart assignments (90 question homework). The hardest part were the learnsmarts because they were time consuming but its an easy 100% and prepare you for the quizzes. Easy online class and answers can be searched online or in the online textbook. You can earn 10pts in extra credit.
