Excellent teacher who makes sure that every detail is explained. I'm a math major and had no problems, but for those that do, she has tons of extra credit opportunities and drops one test score. Always available during office hours for extra help, and even stays a few minutes after class to help out. Makes sure to be on time to class, though!

This is BEST Math teacher I had in my life. I took her for Intermediate Algebra and had no problems. I took this class previously with another professor and had to withdraw. The accent is not that bad. No homework. 4 tests, 4 quizzes. Labs are a must. Only does like 4 or 5 examples and you understand the material. Tests are straightforward. I suck at math and got an A.

Professor Magdala is a great professor. She has everything planned out so you know what is coming. If you pay attention in class, take notes, do homework, and ask for help, you should be able to pass the class with A or B if you are lazy. You have study guides for each test and the final exam that are very similar to real tests and exams. I got A+.

She's pretty cool, her notes are everything for the class. Study guide helps although she tends to amp up the difficulty on the tests and her answers can be very tricky. 4 tests (drops the lowest), 5 quizzes (5th one is optional for extra credit) and a cumulative final exam. very repetitive (you'll see what I mean if you take her). Overall helped!

She is a good professor I took her for calc 1 and pre calc. She isn't to bad. Practicing all the homework problems and some even appear on the test. She is not one to really sympathize and not much extra credit. However, the class is definitely passable and it is possible to get an A.

She smiles a lot! The lass is ALL notes, with assignments on MML for every chapter. MML scores will definitely reflect your test scores. TAKE GOOD NOTES. She calls role within the first minute of class so don't be late. If you don't ask questions, + bad at math, you may have a low grade. Your fault though

Homework in MML DOES AFFECT your grade almost dramatically. The entire class we are taking notes, she does a lot of examples and asks if you need more. It can be boring but as long as u answer questions and stuff you'll be good. MML hw is all the studying you need.

Ms. Emmanuel is an awesome teacher. She's there for you and wants you to pass. There are four tests and one final exam and homework through MyMathLab. She drops the lowest test grade and for our class she also replaced the second lowest test grade with the grade we got on the final, which really helped all of our grades. She's such a nice teacher.

She is so amazing! She explains the concepts very thorough and easily. Before each exam (three exams 1 final) she goes over the study guide in class, which are pretty much identical for the exam. Except, for the final you had to do the study guide on your own which wasnt too bad. I'm definitely taking her for Calc! Super easy, take her!

Honestly she is a good math teacher not saying that she is perfect but she is a good teacher. My problem is that she does not really give that much examples, but if anything you could just ask. Plus she does do study tests. Basically it is probably the easiest Pre-Cal teacher there is.

I am not a math person, but the class was alright. She goes very quickly, classes are only 45-60 minutes. She does one problem per sub-section, usually two sections a day. Homework and Quizzes are on MyMathLab, Tests are in class. She drops the lowest score which is great. I could have gotten a higher grade if I would have studied.

Her grading is ridiculous and her tests are completely different from the homework. Be prepared to study and still fail.

Prof. Emmanuel is an amazing teacher. I've taken her for pre calc and calc1. No power points just examples and explanations. Hw is optional, but if you don't do it you might not pass the test. Test are a little harder that study guide, and she is a VERY picky grader. Grades are based off 4 test and 5 quizzez.

An amazing teacher, gives simple and easy lessons and always willing to help if you need it. She will drop your lowest test score (4 tests). Although I haven't finished her class yet (just have to take the final) I have a 104% because her tests are exactly like the reviews, and the extra credit opportunities.

Took her for college alg, pre-calc, and calc 1. Lectures are very clear. Does a bunch of example problems. Study guides are very similar to the tests. However, she is a bit of a harsh grader, so make sure you write out all of the steps neatly. Never really paid attention in high school, got an A in all three courses, so I definitely recommend her!

People complaining are lazy. Reviews and Tests are almost IDENTICAL. Just took first two math tests and got 90+. If you do all your homework all you need is an 75 to 80 something on each test something to get an A in the class. She's picky grader sometimes, but ask her what she looks for in the review for the test. Pay for mathlab though no tb.

I am an engineering major and math is kind of one of my strong zones. With that being said, I think she is an amazing professor. She is nice and the lectures are kind of fast-paced. But paying attention and reviewing the packets will ensure a high grade in the class

I am so happy I chose professor Magdala for college algebra. Her class is easy to pass as long as you come to class and pay attention. She is a nice teacher and she allowed us to retake 2 or 3 of our tests because most of class failed the first time. If it wasn't for her I would failed class most likely. I highly recommend her. Professor Magdala, is the best Professor I have ever taken! She takes her time when teaching and answers any doubts that you might have with clarity. She does not rush things. I am confident that anyone can learn calculus with her. I recommend doing the homework before the tests and buying the answer book to the problems from the textbook.

Great professor. attendance matters but you can come late, her test I never got over a B. She grades every single detail on the test, you get (-#) off the test for everything. Hw on mylab, doesn't use canvas, a lot of EC. Test reviews match but there are harder questions.

If I could give her a grade over 5 I would, gives 3 test retakes to boost your grade and easy labs as homework. Gives lots of extra credit for your tests that really help you out. Amazing professor! Many reviews complain of her fast paced but she asks multiple times if she needs to slow done, so its okay! Her reviews are IDENTICAL to the tests, she wont test you on the hard hard stuff but she will teach it nonetheless. Hands out extra credit like oprah. Definitely solid

Calc1: She is very (x5) organized. 5 quizzes, 4 tests. She is nice & gives decent amt of E. Credit. Class solves book problems. Homework not mandatory. MUST show work. Drops lowest test (not quizz). Tests are reviews w diff #s. I got over 98%. My advice: Do your work, don't miss class, go over class notes as mny times as you can. Study wont fail

Shes concise, straightforward, and caring. She wants you to succeed and gives you every opportunity to do so. The quizzes and tests arent surprises and neither is the material in them. Also, shes hilarious and youll definitely like her.

Great professor, but she is a tough grader, she tested us and I am terrible at foiling and she gives us a question about a specific concepts but I was unable to foil correctly I was able to answer the question with the concept correct but obviously I got the wrong answer no partial credit whatsoever. There are 4 tests you're graded on and then multiple homework assignments after each test. Each class is a lecture. Very easy class, just pay attention and ask questions if you need and you'll be fine.

She's honestly one of the BEST math professors I've taken, she's super sweet and doesn't mind repeating a problem if you don't understand it. There's homework but it's not overwhelming, and the Exams are exactly like the practice exams. She will also provide you with a formula packet and a calculator navigator packet for class and for every exam.

She teaches extremely well, and makes sure all of her students are on the same page before she continues. Very clear about her grading criteria. Does extra credit for EVERY test.

She is nice and reliable. I didn't take advantage of her office hours in the first half of the semester but her office hours helps a lot. After I met with her during her office hours I passed the test and pass the class. If you do your homework and pass at least 2 tests you will be good. She drops the lowest grade.

HW is optional but it preps you for the quizzes and exams. Madgala has accessible office hours and is willing to help you with any questions you have regarding hw or classwork. She also has PLENTY of review material of things you need to remember for her calc class. She also has calc review sheets that revolve around the class. Overall, not bad :)

Great teacher but didn't teach the way I would've like. Took this class during COVID and how I learned my material was on the Question Help on MyLab Math, that is where everything is, I didnt use Canvas. Online textbook didnt help and she didnt provide videos or like notes. She responds quick, no camera needed for test, 4 test, reviews, One Final.

This professor is the nicest person ever! My only complaint is that she did not actually teach anything at all. I did great because I had taken Pre-Calculus in high school already and I didn't really needed to learn anything new. But she is super sweet, so I'm sure that she'll be ready to help students if they don't understand the work.

I passed this class with a 99.90 as a final grade! There's no way to fail this class unless you don't show your work. Tests are exactly like the review test and not too much homework. Professor Magdala is super fast at answering questions, and she provides everything you need on Pearson! Take this class, and you won't regret it!!

Given plenty of time to complete assignments and tests. One test per module (5 modules). Sends reminders about when work is due. No late work is allowed all assignments and tests close at 5pm. I would definitely take her class again.

I believe Professor Emmanuel is a great teacher, but unfortunately I have an extremely hard time with math. She is willing to help you outside of class (during her officer hours), and she is caring and wants you to succeed. I think just maybe a mix of my struggling with math my entire life, and maybe her teaching style just didn't mesh.

Taken over summer, 5 exams lowest one dropped. All Homework due before exams HW is like 4-8 questions per section. Study guide similar to exams and they're like 10-12 questions. Final was also very similar to the review about 23 questions. Nice professor she will help you for sure. Material very straightforward and class sometimes leaves early.

Professor Emmanuel is very kind. I took her for Precalculus but the lectures were a bit heavy sometimes. Her lectures sometimes had tired me but I did make good friends. She gave an opportunity for extra credit if you finished your HW early which definitely boosted my grade.

This is my third class with Professor Emmanuel, and it was my favorite class this semester! Uses MML for college algebra and precalc, and optional hw for calc 1 (do it!). Test reviews are similar to the actual tests, and her lectures are always straightforward. VERY organized, I just wished she taught calc 2 & 3 :)

Took her in person college algebra class some time ago and I really enjoyed it. She explained the topics very well and she was always able to answer questions during class. She also offered extra credit if you did the homework before a certain deadline. Take her class, she is a very good professor.

Great lectures that teaches the subject perfectly. It almost feels like its dumbed down for anyone to understand. Math is a difficult subject to learn if you get a professor who assumes you know a decent amount of it. She on the other hand teaches great. This professor is one of the best I have had. There are five in-person tests, including the final, and then homework for each section. She provides ample time for homework and dedicates a class to reviewing for the upcoming test. Most classes only lasted 45 minutes, and the rest of the time was used to ask any questions. Professor Emmanuel's MAC1140 class is straightforward, with well-organized lectures and helpful review materials. Homework and test formats are consistent, making studying easier. I found unstuck study a useful supplement alongside the textbook.

As someone who has hated math all the way up to 12th grade, Professor Emmanuel was amazing. She made sure to cover everything that was on the test and even reviewed the test with us the day before the test. The study guides are EXACTLY the same as the test with just different numbers. The textbook is provided for free and is written by her.

Amazing teacher and one of the best math teachers I have had. Even though test are worth a good amount of your grade, she will prepare you for them. She gives review tests that are almost identical to the test so there aren't any surprises. She didn't give any mandatory homework so you could focus on understanding and preparing for the material.

Class has five exams with first four accounting for 60% of the grade with 3 counting for 20% each with the lowest out of the 4 being dropped, and the fifth being 20% by itself. Test reviews are available online with answers and she'll go over them step by step before exams. Her lectures are example heavy but easy to follow.

This professor was so sweet and gave extra credit on most tests (check her emails for extra credit). She wants her students to succeed, and test reviews are very close to the actual test. Homework is only what's necessary and pretty simple. 4 tests and a final, lowest test out of the 4 will be dropped. I did have to study a bit extra on my own.

Professor E is so kind and her lectures are so easy to understand. She explains it in a simple way and makes sure to go over it. The homework is good too, there's around 6 assignments due before each test (which she dedicates a day to review), which gives you around 3 weeks to complete them. Overall, 5/5 rating, I highly recommend her for algebra.
