Class can become very boring if you arent super into art but she provides study guides before each test that are very helpful. Granted, you need to look at the text book to fill in the study guide. She gave bonus points to you overall average if you signed in every class. Also answered several of my questions about the study guide through email
Easiest class ever. All you have to do is show up, and you really don't even have to pay attention. Just look over the study guides which have all the answers. It takes like 1-2 hours to study for each test which is nothing compared to most classes. Honestly you can look over it in under an hour. Best class period.
Mrs. Khaleque is one of the nicest teachers at UGA! I would highly recommend this class as an elective if you have even the slightest bit of interest in art. She's super laid back with attendance (as long as you show up), and she really loves what she does. Taking notes in class is a must, but if you study the study guide, you'll ace the tests.
The easiest class I have ever taken. She releases a quizlet before each test that she makes herself. Attendance is mandatory, but it is a sign in sheet sent around at the beginning of class. She is super kind too! She knows that her class is easy and tries to make everyone get an A.
Mahera is the best. She made a boring class fun, even if she sent out periodic salty emails to the entire class concerning lack of effort on our part. Grade is 4 tests + EC if you have less than 3 absences. She has us fill out blank quizlets and then corrects them so we know exactly what to study. I can appreciate art on a higher level now!
This is the best teacher at UGA without a doubt. She gives the answers to the tests before hand and there is no homework. Attendance is mandatory, but it's just a sign in sheet so make friends. Although with that being said, it genuinely is an interesting class. And if anyone says anything bad about her, meet me outside of Lamar Dodd sis!
This class is really easy. You can literally study the night before a pass. She is super nice about things. You can miss class but she gives a lot of extra credit to those who have perfect or almost perfect attendance at the end of the semester.
Professor Khaleque is such a sweetheart. She always wants to help you and is super accessible outside of class. The lectures can be a little boring sometimes, but she will give you a study guide quizlet before each test so as long as you do that you are solid. Learning the Slide Id's is kind of annoying, but its free points when you learn them.
This was legit the easiest possible class: show up to class, receive an exact outline of the test to study, and memorize a few artworks. 100%. She is a great woman who really cares about art if you're interested but it serves for an amazing buffer class.
She's good, and the class is easy. You don't really have to take notes, and she gives a study guide to due prior to the tests, but she really cares about the content and her students. The only thing is if you miss too many classes she starts deducting points from your overall grade by the letter grade. Easy A, but you need to show up.
Mahera is amazing. She is beyond caring and adorable! You can tell she really cares about her teaching and is passionate about the topics discussed in class. She provides detailed study guides for each test, and if you complete the guides, then you will be fine on the exams. LOVE HER!
The sweetest lady ever!! She really cares about all of her students and wants everybody to do well in the class. Extra credit for attending all/most lectures. Gives a study guide with everything you need to know before tests so you can honestly not pay attention during the lectures and still do well. Take her class!
TAKE MAHERA. This is the easiest, most laid back class. She's so sweet and passionate about art. Come to class and you never have homework. She makes a class quizlet for the test review and the class fills it out and she edits it. The quizlet is all you need. I got 100s studying only the quizlet for the test and slide id part- which was also easy.
This is by far one of the easiest class I have ever taken. We just have two tests, paper, and presentation. She gives five points to your overall grade based on attendance. For the test, you just need to study the class's Quizlet for about 2 or 3 hours and you'll be fine.
There's not much to take notes on in her class, but attendance is mandatory. Before each exam, she posts a study guide and, once students have attempted the questions, she will post the correct answers to it a few days before the exam. The exams are based on the study guides, so memorization is key. It is an easy A, just memorize the study guides.
Professor Khaleque is the sweetest thing. She really cares about what she's teaching. There were only 2 tests. Other assignments were in groups or with partners. She gives out answers for tests in class if you listen and again on quizlet. Attendance is mostly for extra points on final grade. Definitely would take her again.
ARTS2050 is dummy easy, attendance is for extra credit, there was a planned group project at the end which was supposed to be easy, but it got canceled because of big rona. Just study the quizlets a day or two before tests and enjoy the A. Lectures can be interesting if you're into modern art.
Mrs. Khaleque is super easy going & wants her students to do well. All lectures are posted online as well as any material needed for projects, tests, etc. It is so easy! as long as you do the quizlets (that she makes), you'll make an A. She gives extra points at the end of the semester just for showing up to class so attendance is semi mandatory.
Her tests are not too bad and she makes a quizlet before every test that has everything you need to know for the test. If you memorize you should be fine. The group projects and papers are graded harder.
She is really sweet and does her best! This is not the most entertaining class ever, but if you need a class that fills both your multicultural and art credits it is a good choice.
-Discussions on videos. -Test were random on videos that took 2 hours. Don't watch them all. Just look at the questions first. Prepped the day before. -Gave lots of points back. Extra credit project. -Two random projects with partner easy A. -If you make an appointment to talk with her, she'll be nice and give points back.
She usually taught this class in person, but this semester it was fully online asynchronous due to covid. Grades consisted of 4 unit tests, 2 partner projects, and multiple discussion assignments. Tests weren't the easiest, but she gave the answers in a study guide for every unit.
One of the best professors at UGA! One of the sweetest people ever! You'll never have a problem with her. It's hard not to get an A in the class and you literally never have to study. There's only discussion posts, 4 tests (she gives back a LOT of pts), and 2 group projects. She's a lenient grader and gives out HEFTY extra credit. def recommend!
Such a sweet and caring professor!Class has discussions, quizzes and 2 projects that are very easy. She is lenient grader and literally puts a quizlet for the whole class to fill in and she checks it and you can use it on the test. This class is easy and interesting and she gives an extra credit project that helps a lot and is not hard. No final!
Mahera is super sweet. If you need something, she gets back to you quickly. Solid amount of extra credit but I doubt you'll need it. Tests are open notes where she provides the notes, Quizlets, etc. You will need the textbook a few times for a project or two. She knows 99% aren't art majors so she's not intense about the class, easy class credit.
Khaleque was an AMAZING professor. She was kind and considerate of her students needs, especially considering everything going on in the world. She was always prompt to respond to emails and genuine in each and every response. She put the enjoyment of learning the subjects for students first and grading second.
Very easy course with 4 tests that are all online. Very easy A and there is extra credit. Khaleque is very understanding and wants what is best for her students.
Mahera is really nice, but I personally didn't like the class. If you review the notes and quizlets, the tests are pretty easy. However, sometimes the wording isn't clear/the questions are confusing. There is extra credit for attendance and a project, and you need the textbook a couple times for group projects. Overall, an easy class.
Nice lady. Long-winded lectures with videos mixed in. All the material was posted online so you really didn't need to go. Test questions worded very specifically to the point I would consider them trick questions. Class is on cultural diversity, yet she doesn't understand cultural sensitivity: said the N-word in lecture, apologized next class.
Super easy. 4 open note tests online, 3 online discussions (ask a question, respond to 2 others), partner paper and 1 textbook assignment (don't buy the book get it online for free), and some extra credit. Attendance is extra credit, you get 2 unexcused absences before you lose the extra credit though.
Pretty nice teacher who gives tons of extra credit opportunities. She takes notes for you so if you miss something in class you can easily read over it in her notes. Does quizlets that cover most of the topics in her class for the test
Very easy. There were 4 online open-note tests, 5 discussions, and 2 group assignments (with the same partner). Attendance is also extra credit. Tests can be tricky but make sure to use the open note to your advantage. Do not buy the textbook until you get your partner (you can share the textbook), but you could also just find a PDF online for free
Prof Khaleque is nice but she gives very boring lectures & expects class participation despite the class being almost 200 people. The class is easy enough. Attendance isn't technically required but if you go you get extra credit and will do better on assignments/the tests. In my experience, everything was graded easily except for the artist paper.
I would definitely recommend! She`s a really nice professor and its easy to get an A as long as you put in a very small about of work into it. 4 discussions (pretty much completion), 4 exams (open notes), artist paper, and a textbook activity. Also I would recommend taking this with a friend as there are multiple assignments that require 2 people.
Shes a solid professor. The work is what she teaches exactly and shes nice. Period.
The only redeeming quality is the class is mostly easy and has some extra credit. Extremely boring lectures, will count off points for no apparent reason, and requires a textbook used for one assignment (It's easy to find online). You'll survive and probably with a decent grade but prepare to be constantly annoyed.
Professor Khaleque's class was pretty easy, and she's very caring. There are a couple of partner assignments but they were relatively simple. As long as you attend class and turn in your assignments, you'll be fine! Some of the lectures do tend to drag though.
Dr. Khaleque was a very good professor! She is so sweet and cares for the students and the material. There aren't many assignments, but they were all easy 100s and the test was open notes and taken from home. Recommend her and this course if you need a fine arts credit.
Professor Khaleque is so kind and passionate about the content. The class is lecture heavy but assignments are very easy. I highly recommend this as an easy and interesting course.
4 test, 5 discussion posts, and 2 partner activities. Easy class, recommend
As long as you come to class and participate, it should be an easy A. Her tests and clicker questions can get confusing and try and trick you though. She gave plenty of extra credit opportunities too.
Take this class! Tests are open note and she uploads her own notes to study from if you have trouble taking notes in lecture. She is pretty strict about attendance but it was worth it for two bonus percentage points. Two partner projects, one of which is an essay. She always does her best to make sure her students are getting what they need.
Professor Khaleque is the literal sweetest woman ever. There is only three tests, and they are all online and open-note. The other grades are a few easy assignments and an easy portfolio project with a group. My only advice is to make sure to take notes on EVERYTHING she says in class about each artist and artwork. She does not post notes online.
Khaleque is a very sweet professor, but to put it bluntly, her lectures are very boring and most people leave halfway through. However, she gives extra credit, and there are three easy tests that she curves. The class is not much work at all, and if you give some effort, you should get an A with no worries.
She is super nice and caring and I found her lectures interesting. Her tests are open note and pretty much everything you need is in the notes she provides. Remember to study the lecture slides too though. Overall this was an easy credit and I recommend it completely!
this class is one of the easiest I've ever taken at UGA: my advice - for the open note tests look at her speaker notes they were the most helpful for answering questions - get 100s for every assignment you can since they all are open note - top hat only counts for so much, so as soon as u get a good majority, stop going to class
Professor is very caring and sweet. Attendance is mandatory since she does TopHat questions which count toward your grade. She also offers extra credit opportunities through attendance and another assignment. There are four tests (open note and online) and they are pretty easy if you pay attention in class and use her notes during the test.
Dr. Khaleque is a very caring professor and you can tell she's very passionate about art. She gives many extra credit opportunities and bonus points for attendance. Exams are really easy, open note, and most answers can be found in the pdfs she posts on ELC. Overall a great professor and even though I'm a STEM major, I really enjoyed her class.
Professor Khaleque was very sweet and caring to her students. Attendance was mandatory, but you get extra credit for coming to class and doing other bonus opportunities. There are four open-note and online tests which are easy if you use the notes she provides. Overall, a great class to fulfill Franklin College and university requirements!
Literally the easiest class i have ever taken. Just take notes during class the tests are open note and the textbook usually has most of the answers.
Easiest professor I've ever had! Attendance is mandatory but everything is open note, including the tests. The tests are also online and taken at home. So sweet and caring to her students too! Minimal work, just go to class and do the assignments she gives and you'll get an A.
Easy A. She is knowledgeable about art and is a sweet person, but the class is so boring. Attendance is mandatory, but she turns the lights off during class, so the lectures are very chill and a time to relax. There is a LOT of homework and she uses Mcgraw-Hill so it takes hours to complete. Theres no tests, just a report and identifying artworks.
Easy A. Lectures are boring, but you don't have to pay much attention since there are no exams/quizzes. Attendance is mandatory and she uses lecture questions/signed attendance sheets. Homework on McGraw Hill takes forever but it's doable. Her first few lectures will seem intimidating bc she isn't a great explainer but don't drop it, it's so easy.
Very knowledgable about the arts and the inspiration behind the art! Absolutely one of my favorite classes! Makes you think about the pieces you are learning about and how they came to be. Dr. Khaleque is wonderful and passionate about her work. 100% would take any class she teaches!
One of the sweetest professors I've ever had! The tests are online and taken at home and are open notes. She also uploads all of her personal lecture notes which is great. She is extremely caring and her TAs were easy to work with! Not a lot of work, just a PackBack assignment each module and a final paper that is done with a partner!
Lol easiest class i've ever taken. Mahera lectures but her ta's grade almost everything. The class is mainly homework and there are 3 "quizzes" that you only have to memorize a couple pieces of art. Some days you don't have class but there is work for that day. Take her for a easy humanites class
Easy, interesting class. Should be a free A if you show up and do your work.
Free A, show up to class, sign name on attendance sheet. do the attendance question last 5 mins of class. Do the 10 connect assignments, and 1 museam report. Easy class. any sort of effort and you will get at least an A-
Overall it's not a hard class that requires a ton of work, but a lot of due dates overlap with chemistry tests, etc. Tests can be a tricky even though they are open note, use her notes she provides and you should be okay. Lectures go the entire class period. She can be flexible, but it depends. It can be a little much for a diversity credit.
i loved dr khaleque! her lectures were sometimes extremely boring, but some of her lectures were interesting and worth listening to. there were only 3 slide-id tests, clicker questions, and a report that made up our grade. she's a very sweet and caring professor, i definitely recommend taking dr. khaleque!
She is super sweet and the class is really easy. Lectures were beyond boring however the class structure is easy. Attendance is mandatory as you have lecture questions online at the end of class, usually 2 questions (MPC), then we have online textbook assessments, worst part is it costs $100. Class grades make up from a report, 3 slide tests, hw.
She cares as much as the student does. If you put in effort she will match it and more. She's very enthusiastic about what she is teaching, and she has the knowledge to back it up as well.
This is the class to take if you want an easy A. She gives no test or real quizzes, so it is not important to pay attention to the lecture. All you have to do is sign the attendance sheet and answer two lecture questions at the end of class, and everybody just looks up the answer.
Chill professor. Lectures can be a bit boring. Mandatory attendance. Discussion assignments are free 100s and tests are online and easy. Take her if you want an easy class.
Dr. Khaleque has a clear passion to teach others about art history, although her lectures can be a bit dense, she is an extremely kind and caring professor. This class is an easy A if you attend lectures and take basic notes, there are no exams and she is understanding if you cannot attend a lecture for a reasonable reason.
Her class is an easy A if you just show up. All of the assignments are through Connect mostly, except a few in class quizzes and one big partner project mid-semester. Lectures can be boring, so just work on something else while you listen in class.
I loved this professor. She obviously cared about what she taught and the class was so easy. There were 3 quizzes and one project/paper that you had to do with a partner in the art museum. Attendance was mandatory, but it quickly became my favorite class because I found it interesting. Take her if you can!
She is such a sweet lady, but it is very hard to pay attention. If you aren't passionate about the content, the dimmed lights didn't help. I dozed off every period and there are questions every class that tanked my grade. If you truly pay attention you should be fine. But, if you want an elective that doesn't take effort, not the class for you.
It was important to go to class as her presentations had little to no words so you had to just to be there to get her explanations. Overall the class was easy and the exams weren't hard as long as you pay attention.
Nice professor. Passionate about art. Keep up with the calendar. PROS: Easy grades. No tests (aside from 3 art identification quizzes, but the content is given in advance). Online textbook questions are graded for completion. CONS: You have to pay $100+ for the online textbook to do the homework questions. The art report is a partner project.
You'll do fine. Take the class. Show up and do the hw (Hw can be tedious and there is one partner project but you can request a classmate, otherwise goodluck)
While the homework can be tedious, the rest of this class is really straight forward and she just lectures the whole class. You have 2 daily lecture questions, but they're really simple too. Class isn't too bad and Professor Khaleque is very understanding.
This is a super easy class, but I dislike that another student grades the biggest two-partner assignments. Mahera is most def a sweet teacher, and she cares about her students. In-class questions, so attend class.
literally the nicest professor ever! it was a large lecture class but she does a great job still making it engaging+ interesting! the quizzes are super easy- taken at home, open note, mostly MCQ and its super easy to get an A. The only minor annoying thing was we had to buy a $60 textbook which was only used for 1 assignment
Good course, great professor. There is an online textbook for this course, and there are assignments due on it about every other week. There is a museum visit and a group report. Attendance is taken, but not required, and there are easy lecture summary questions after every lecture. There are no exams in this course. Do the work for an easy A.
Take khaleque's class if you need a fine arts credit!! She is so nice and knowledgeable about art. Attendance was mandatory but I liked going and you get EC for it. She's understanding if there's a valid reason you need to miss. No exams, one of the assignments was a group museum report which was interesting and fun
Mahera is genuinely the kindest professor! She's so clear about what's expected in class (which is very little) and is passionate about her lectures. Attendance is mandatory but all you have to do is answer two questions which you can look up. Easiest A/fine arts credit ever. Take her if you want a lax semester!
I really enjoyed Professor Khaleque's class! I thought the content was really interesting and found myself applying what I had learned in class to other parts of my life. Attendance is mandatory and there are no tests, only a partner project that I thought was enjoyable! Professor Khaleque is also super nice and always willing to answer questions!
Professor Khaleque is incredibly kind. There are no exams or final, you will be graded on lecture questions, slide identification quizzes (which can be memorized in roughly a hour), homework, and one paper that can be done with a partner. This is a straightforward A. Anyone with negative comments simply did not go to class or apply themselves.
She is a great professor! There is no penalty for missing classes, but she does have lecture questions worth a small part of your grade. If you miss less than a certain number of classes, you can gain extra credit on your final grade. There are two partner assignments, one of which is a paper, but they are easy. Tests are online, open note/book!
She is honestly so sweet and so kind, and always willing to help. Course work is not hefty or tough at all. Reach out to her if you can, and participate in class! It's a lovely environment and I am confident that you will enjoy her class. Would absolutely take another class with her again!
This class and Dr. Khaleque was amazing! She is very caring and super passionate about what she teaches. Attendance is mandatory but tests are online/at home and open notes (she posts her lecture notes!) There is no final, just a two partner activities (a textbook worksheet and a final paper). This is great for a multicultural/fine arts credit.
Such a sweet Professor! She's really passionate about the content she teaches. Perfect attendance means a couple bonus points also! Overall, her classes are easy and there isn't any busy work. I'd recommend her for whatever class she teaches in the future. Online tests and posted notes!!
This course was formatted well and the professor is very passionate. You can tell she cared about us and wanted us to gain a deeper knowledge in understanding art, and she provided very stimulating discussions and assignments. Professor Khaleque is very caring and while she does not give too much work, those assignments were interesting.
She is a great professor for ARTS 2050 (Franklin fine arts and multicultural credit in one) She truly cares about what she is teaching. Attendance is mandatory because there are lecture questions during class, but they are easy and boost your grade. 4 at home, open note tests and she posts all of her class notes. 2 partner assignments are also easy
she's very caring about the content and her students. all of the work is online. a very easy class.
She's really nice and caring. I took her Arts 2050 class, however, she no longer will be teaching that class, BUT take her other classes!!!
Other than a few Packback discussion posts for each unit and two partner assignments (one long paper), there are very few assignments. All of the exams are online and open-note; if you read the notes, the questions are extremely straightforward. There are lecture questions, so attendance is necessary. Extra credit is also offered. Take her!!
One of the easiest classes at UGA. Attendance is mandatory, with one museum report and three quizzes. A lot of reading but don't let that deter you from the fact that class is easy.
Great professor. You can tell that she is really passionate about what she teaches. Highly recommend taking any class being taught by her.
Such an excellent professor; I always loved going to her class because it was clear how passionate she was about the subject. Super sweet and always willing to help if you ever need anything.
Incredibly easy class. However, mandatory lectures are very slow and often her just playing us youtube videos. If you want an easy A, it isnt a bad option, but I personally would want something a bit more engageing.
Great professor who truly cares about her students. She understands that a lot of people take this class for credit, so she makes it fairly easy to achieve a good grade. There are lecture questions every class. Tests are online, open note and book. She gives you her notes too. One 2-person paper and one 2-person assignment.
Easy A! There are a few Slide ID quizzes, but they are relatively easy to study for a few days in advance. The lectures are boring, and I didn't learn much. There are some online textbook assignments, 2 questions at the end of every lecture, extra credit, and a partner project (if you have a bad partner like me it will suck).
