Grass is the man, sure he has lost it but he's so cool. He gives you every chance in the world to earn extra points. His teaching is out of this world but it works. I remember more after his class than i do in any other. OPERA NIGHT 2004!

Grass is so awesome... and hyperactive! He keeps you awake, even those nasty 8 ams. His jokes are so lame that its hysterical and as long as you take notes and keep up with all those notes you took, you will do fine. Take his class if you want to have fun

He is out of his mind, but is dedicated to helping you and his hands-on techniques make you remember things well. Half the battle is just being there. Tests are tough (I averaged a C on them) but I got an A- overall because everything else was easy.

grass is one of the coolest teachers i've had this semester. he does his classes through powerpoints with videos and music samples.very new-school teaching. explains everything in detail; throws in cool facts. easy A if you do what he expects. tests are kinda tough. he is very dedicated to teaching.

You have to be retarded not to get a good grade in his class. He is an awesome professor and he makes the class fun. If you don't like to volunteer for things, then don't join the class, and go to another class and fall asleep. So many students were mean to this professor, but he is such a nice guy

He loves what he is doing, and he wants you to succeed in his class. You have to go to class and answer questions, so you can get points. He makes you laugh, its not a class where you take straight notes, you dance and sing too.

One of the greatest on this campus. Dedicated to his teaching and his students. Easy A unless you are an idiot or don't bother going. If you have hard time he will do whatever he needs to to help u thru it. Make an effort, visit his office, and you will definitely get an A. Fun Classes!

I love Grass. He was so goofy and very entertaining. He's a good dancer and is amazing on the bassoon!

I loved him, he cracked me up the whole class. He's very dedicated and intrested in music and it shows. He makes you get up and dance and sing and do fun activies that can be annoying but again some of them really help in rembering things. I would deff recomend him ... hes a hoot! hahaha

The best thing about Dr. Grass is his use of technology in the classroom. Music can be such a dull subject if taught as just another lecuture class, but Dr. Grass makes his classes interesting by using PowerPoint slides, hands-on learning, and just making the class fun. Take this class if you want a valuable learning experience.

Dr. Grass is just all around great. He's hilarious, intelligent, a great teacher & a sweet old man. He puts so much great energy into what he does and makes class so much fun. I learned so much in a subject I cared nothing about & would have normally been bored to death in. He really wants everyone to do well & the class isn't hard if you go.

he's crazy. great class if your interested in learning about the different periods of music, otherwise it sucks. he forgets that most of us are taking this class as a gen ed. tests are not hard at all if you study for them. easy A if you go to class, but it does suck.

Dr. Grass' Intro class is outta control. I had him at 9 am and he definately kept the class awake. The music that he taught was kind of boring but he is really passionate about the subject. And he gives plenty of extra credit...for no reason at all. Just go to the lectures and study for the test and you will do fine. He's a really nice guy.

Very into his work and clearly loves music. The class can be boring somtimes and he always wants you to do lil crap but he does award you with bonus points. He gives them out often which is nice! If you don't miss any classes he'll add 10 points to your attendance grade so its worth it. The exams are pretty easy too and he reviews before all!

Pretty easy class. He is very into music and is a nice guy. Hard to understand sometimes since he mumbles and talks fast. If you hate powerpoints or participating in class than don't take it. Very easy course work and loads of extra credit. You learn a lot about music history and composers. A very good class overall, although sometimes annoying.

Good professor, at first that he was a goofball well I still do but his class is really easy. Lots of powerpoints slides and listening examples. Does little quirks in class to keep you interested. Gives you all of the answers to the test in the review session. So make sure you go to class and you will me fine.

If you have no interest in this class take Grass. He tries to make it as interesting as possible and gets students involved. Test are easy if you study, but you have to study. Reading the book will def help. He gets a lot of info straight from the book. He is a nice guy and will always get back to you ASAP if you need help with anything!

Online class is pretty simple, discussions, quizzes, and exams, def need the book, but he taught a great online class. Very nice guy, and would always be willing to help. I needed this gen ed and I would really suggest taking it online.

Make sure you bring the book to ever class. (bonus pts. available!) Reviews the entire test the class before just memorize everything! moves very fast on notes! BUT HIGHLY RECOMENDED! very funny great teacher!

Grass is an awesome professor with so much energy. We did a few goofy activities in class that were annoying but he is a really helpful professor and its SO easy to get points in his class. Impossible to fail. I recommend taking him for any music class.

This is an excellent online class. The reading helps one to appreciate music even though you may not have a good musical background. The instructor is very helpful. Highly recommend this class for anyone interested in developing a broad background in a very interesting subject.

His online music class is fairly easy. Just stay organized and get your work done at the begining of the week. He grades very easily, I got 100% on all of my assignments and discussions, and I hate music with a passion. I had no intrest in this class and learned nothing from it. Just use one or two music vocab words in your paper and you'll be fine

Cool class, no one told me that i needed the textbook, but if you read what ever he provides you online, the powerpoints etc. you should be good. If you have questions email him, he's very sweet.

Dr. Grass is a great guy- very eccentric & will put a smile on your face. Intro to World Music is easy if you thoroughly pay attention to his slides and take notes. He gives random in class writing assignments, take home quizzes, and a total of 5 exams to help balance out any poor grades on previous exams. It can get a little dull but he's sweet.

Honestly, before taking this class, I was so nervous after reading other's posts I almost didn't. Dr. Grass provides you with materials above and beyond being able to achieve an A. Some of his tests are tricky, yes. But he gives you a very helpful and specific study guide before the test so it is well reviewed. I am SO glad I stuck with this class!

Dr. Grass is a great professor. He takes attendance and has you do some goofy activities in class, but just show up and pass. He also held review sessions at night where he basically went over everything on the exam. Really great guy that cares about music and his students.

Excellent online class where you will learn a lot about music of the countries of the world. Threaded discussion questions help you interact with other students and are valuable in learning the material. Reviews for tests provide information so you will do well on tests.

The exams are straight off the study guide, you get 50 terms to define or know and then 50 questions based on each term/idea. Do the study guide and you'll get an A on every exam. The discussions require reading but they are easily done and based on the material. I studied an hour before each exam and got an A

Music 100 for in class was very easy. You need to be at every class for points, but missing one wont hurt you. Go to the review and see the exact questions that will be on the test. Great class to take even if you have no idea about music. Text book needed for quizzes on some chapters

Dr. Grass is a great professor. Hes very energetic and like to jump around a lot. He is super passionate about what hes teaching. Sometimes he talks way too fast because of how excited he is about the class. He really is caring though and if you fail or miss a test/quiz hell let you make it up.

I took many courses with Dr. Grass at LHU. He was the consumate professional. During my time as his student, his communication with students was nothing other than timely and appropriate. I believe the character assassination attempts are untrue. Just read his stats on this page-93% would take again. That's a fairly telling statistic!

He goes out of his way to provide EXCELLENT audio and video lectures (that you can tell take HOURS to make). A decent amount of work, but plenty of time to complete it. It is also very easy work. Easy class, 10/10 would recommend for an easy A.

Highly recommend for a gen. ed. easy A. He offers zoom jeopardy events and gives the exact test questions. He grades based on improvement. He takes time to make great powerpoint lectures. This course was not stressful, and I enjoyed learning.

Great professor and clearly puts a lot of effort into researching material and making detailed presentations. He does need to update them though; I noticed that some of the information was clearly from 2020 and not recent. Otherwise, the class is very informative, and Dr. Grass keeps it fun and interesting.

I took Dr. Grass for online music 111. This was the easiest class I have ever taken. When given the syllabus it looked like a lot, but in reality he has a maximum of 3 things due each week and there is a quizlet available for every single assignment, not only tests. It is actually impossible to not get an A in this class

Take Professor Grass! There was no textbook, just lectures and notes online. If you go to the jeopardy reviews and put effort into the discussions, you will pass. Dr. Grass was so sweet and caring. He was always so grateful about our participation during jeopardy reviews. The content was very interesting and related to our experiences.

This is one of the best classes I have taken. The objectives are clear and the grading is fair. It is evident that Dr. Grass cares about his students. The excellent PowerPoint presentations with outstanding video and audio examples built into each lecture must have taken a lot of time to produce, but the results are well worth it. Great class!

If you respect the professor and try your best in his class, there will be moments where he saves you if you miss an assignment on accident. Do be sure to not miss assignments though. He does powerpoint lectures; be sure to watch them! You can also do the jeopardy zoom meetings which are very fun for studying. This professor is also very supportive
