Wonderful, Inspirational,Fully Satisfying, Knowlegable
HE WAS A VERY POOR TEACHER WHO DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CONDUCT HIMSELF PROPERLY IN CLASS WITHOUT MAKING FUN OF A STUDENT OR WITHOUT MAKING SOME BASE COMMENT, ONE HE MADE REFERRING TO CONCORDIA STUDENTS BEING STUPID AS COMPARED TO MCGILL STUDENTS
Nice man, but as a teacher boring and not very helpful. The information in his lecture always seemed secondary and never pertaining to the novels
great teacher

He is an interesting man, although I disagree with many of his viewpoints (I found him ****). He's not a great grader, and I don't particularly like him. Nyaaaaa.
Makes me cringe everytime I see his name now. Classes are so hard, and he seems to enjoy how much smarter he is than anyone else by insulting and demorilizing the students. You will have an awful time in this class!
nice guy to me, but lectures are useless. passes out attendance sheet for a 10am class...that says it all.
Awful profesor. doesnt believe in class discussion, reads out his research papers as lectures. Only well versed in historical background & study of genres of lit. Incapable of discussing any piece of fiction on basis of story itself. Frustrating!!!
horrible, horrible teacher. If I know he's teaching course, I avoid it! Lecture had no relevance to exams/papers. I learned nothing from his lectures. What a waste of time. It's about time he retired.
enthusiastic teacher. gives lots of background info to help understand texts. A's are hard to get, but lots of B's are given. Sometimes students get offended as he doesn't seem to advocate class discussion. He prefers teaching the class himself! although he's happy to answer questions.
Very boring. Irrelevant lectures. Course has nothing to do with critical reading. Exams test your ability to write a flawless essay in one hour. Half the time he acts insecure and defensive. The other half he rambles in a disconnected fashion.
The only + I can say about this course/prof is that you dont need to attend a single class to pass.Only about 25% of the class ever shows up even tho he gives 10% for attendance. He is an awful teacher who doesnt care at all about students. Concordia should have paid me to take this course.
grading puts emphasis solely on structure, content can simply be surface reiteration of his lectures.
masquerades as a teacher. lectures consist of him trying to remember what he put on his course outline. once he remembers, then he tries to remember the work itself. then, when he doesn't remember, he says stupid crap with various combinations of "uh" "so" and "now where were we"
I don't like having to say this, because he seems like a genuinely nice person, but this class was brutal. I was not interested in the subject beforehand, and he didn't help. The lectures were basically content-free, he marks strictly on structure & does not go into detail on content at all. Yecchh.
Where to start... Name one analytical tool you've learned in his class which supposedly gives you analytical tools. Regurgitates his notes. But don't be fooled by the name of the course. There is NO critical reading involved.
English Literature courses are about interpreting text, and forming our own opinions. We're not here to learn the professors theories and thesis, we're here to learn how to CRITICALLY READ literature. Any original thoughts or ideas received low grades, it was stupid.
He always showed up empty handed. He'd ask to look at a student's course outline bcz he had no idea what we were supposed 2 B doing. He'd wring his hands & scratch his head trying to think of what he could say. He managed to talk about "sexual relations" completely out of context on a regular basis.
He discussed the topic of critical reading for exactly 7 minutes in the final week of semester. And he is the only instructor I've ever heard of who refuses to have office hours outside class to provide extra help. He gets my WORST PROF EVER AWARD
I didn't believe anyone could be this bad but he's worse than his reputation. I think he's actually a smart guy but he has zero interest in teaching, and it shows.

You have to wonder how something this awful can happen in an institution that is supposed to offer higher learning. A complete waste of time and money. Avoid him.
What a wonderful, helful, and very intelligent professor! Because of him I LOVE LITERATURE.Ignore any negative comment you hear about him.He is a brilliant prof.Yes he is busy, but if you show him your interested in the course he will go out of his way to help you learn. A WONDERFUL PROFESSOR!!!
I'm not a fan of literature, and took his class for the pro. writing minor. He didn't engage in the material at all, so I didn't get the feeling I should bother to, either. He's a nice guy, and very intellegent and educated, but the work done in the course had nothing to do w/learning how to read critically. I fell asleep a few times.
All I learned in Mahmood's class was how many degrees he has, and how lazy we North American's are for not all having 56 PhDs by the time were 18. All he wants from you is to repeat what he says. BE WARNED: He will penalize you for having your own ideas!
Professor Moghaddam is an educated person. He understands the subject he is teaching and is always clear in his explanations. When he speaks, he speaks with passion. He loves doing what he does and he is a very helpful and approachable teacher. He's one of the few university professors that actually cares more about teaching than grading.
Prof. Moghaddam has an effective although unique teaching style. He makes his points clear. As long as you pay attention in class and do not add to any class digressions, you will find the test reasonably difficult. Adhere to strict MLA style and you will be rewarded.
At first I thought he was great. Couldn't believe what I saw later. Made a mistake on my grade. Took 4mths to fix. Took no interest in changing it (although he said he would) until I had to track him down and get higher people involved. Administative hell. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional. I was very surprised to discover this other side to him.
Prof. Moghaddam was very helpful. I had never taken an English class before, and with his help got a very good grade. His tests cover exactly what was covered in class, so if you go, and remember what he says, you too can do well. No reason not to take his class.
wasn't willing to be a nice guy with me. wtf. you might not want to trust me because i dropped / failed his class, but his test questions were unexpected and very particular. and dirty. be careful - in fact i'd advise taking whatever course he is teaching with someone else instead.
Dr. Moghaddam is a credit to this univeristy. He is wise, kind, helpful and wonderful; if you listen you can learn a lot from him. His courses are clear and exams very precise and taken straight from the lectures, no surprises. The thought of this prof makes me smile as he brings light to the classroom.
Considerable breadth of knowledge, conspicuous lack of depth. Despite being well read, he seems to have a limited grasp of the specific works he teaches, and indeed of the English language itself. Class discussion is virtually non-existent, and his marking criteria are laughable. Legitimate English students should steer clear.
His marking is too strict! Avoid him before full refund date
Really garbage professor. Wasted class time on lame jokes. Some were really offensive. Boring style of teaching. Subjective grading. May pick on you if you ever argue your grade. Very unprofessional. Mcgill loving, Concordia hating. Considers all of his courses "glad to get a 'D' courses." Avoid Avoid Avoid.
repeats jokes..ex: 5min explanation of how to spell his name (in ENGL 260 and ENGL 262), taught stuff from 260 in 262, prob is not part of course (maybe he though he was in another course?), improvises lessons, asks student for syllabus b4 class as not prepared, no office hrs (lied to me, went 3 times and waited for 30 min each time, never came)
I liked him. He's very intelligent and knows the material. His lectures were interesting. I learned a lot from him.
he is the worst prof ever. Made stupid jokes and force students to laugh with him.. hello we understand ur jokes but we don't want to participate with u. Like to make comments on students. He would take 1 class just to talk abt his childhood, drugs, politics and never mention Chinese language, then after that rush in other class. Totally ****
I know it is implite, but i want to say this old man is a ****er. Most of our class just got C or D+ in the daily writting. Got nothing but low grade.
BAD, BAD, BAD. He gives C- and D+ on the assignments ... He truly is the worst teacher I ever had in my entire life. He kills your GPA!!!!!
I can't help but read all the negativity on this page and wonder..... maybe if you had put in the work, you wouldn't be so dissatisfied! Also, I'm an English major and really embarrassed for all the lack of grammar in the other reviews. Maybe that's why this course was so hard for you. Anyway, this prof does go off on a tangent, and is a hard grade
Maybe if you guys took your classes seriously and put in the effort, you'd be more satisfied. The people who are always complaining are often the ones who didn't do sh-t to pass their classes! Get real u guys.
He teaches nothing, and you will get the lowest grade in your student's life. He is a lazy man and always show your mark in the next semeter. If you take this argue man's course, you will know what is really suck!

The worst teacher I have never had! Average in his class is C,and no B+ or above because he said the reason we sit in ENGL206 is we are poor at English. So it is impossiable to get a good mark. However,he neither improve our grammar nor teach writting skills. He almost talks nothing useful, and we can learn nothing from his class.
He is a very good teacher those stupid student did not study .He is easy to get along with .IFhe was any clearer he would be crystal .student you need to study in order to pass your grades and stop blaming it on this nice professor.I ENGL 2o6 in fall 2008 and he is good he teaches so well .dont be fooled by the dumb cooments above he is good.
Couldn't do final due to medical reason.Secretary called 3 times at home and did not respond.Gave me an E. He told Head of Dept will get back to me and did not.4 mths later saw him in hallway and promised to adjust grade and did not.Went 3 times to office hrs and did not show up.His email is not on syllabus and ConU/McGill websites - don't tell me that's an accident.
if you get bad marks in the beginning, but work enough to increase your grades, he will give you 2 grades better than your original grade. For example, if your grade is B, you can get an A- or even A. Also, he will not give ``F`` to any one.Just remember to be quiet in the class.
He's not that bad! His jokes and other funny comments on issues outside the class actually cheered me up in the course of a very painful semester. For sure, in-class essays are not my forte. In the past, I would never get more than a B/B+ for these. Yet, in his class, I managed to get A-. Overall, I liked him - he's nice and wants you to succeed.
He wants you to succeed and pass the class. His explanations are clear and he always goes over the material assigned as homework. The literary texts are pertinent to the course. I would not hesitate to take another class with him. Some of his lectures are enlightening.
Not for the lazy-minded. Very stimulating lectures, often humorous and anecdotal but one must be interested in subject and ready to follow through with his tips. University is not all about lectures; one must be able to take from the lectures and build on them outside of class.
He goes off on long tangents about nothing, wastes a lot of class time, speaks too softly, and marks way too hard for a 200 level course. I would not take a class with him again.
Personally, poetry has never been my strong suit. Yet, I find Professor Mahmood Moghaddam's class interesting. What I really like and find very helpful about his class and method of teaching are the historical background foundations he explained about each poem before beginning to discuss the poems. This method is very informative and effective
This method is very informative and effective in helping me to understand how a poem is structured and written in a particular manner in every period of time. He clearly understands his subject and wants to impart this knowledge to the students.
Professor Moghaddam wants us to see beyond what is written in the text and think and see the wider historical and modern picture. In addition, his class is informative, humorous and interesting. I find I learned a lot in this class.
very unique style. his approach might be unattractive to some. the syllabus was useless and based on concensus. he couldve let us know there wont be any analysis of the poems, but of their historical context ONLY. he couldve informed students the grades will rely heavily upon essay style BEFORE we did the 1st one.
I really like him, he is very approachable and loves what he is doing, he will always give you a second chance to return the assignment. he makes the learning fun and he has a high sense of humour that maybe not everyone would get.. his style is definitly unique and he doesn't hold asny grudges. he really cares... i recommand him for sure!
I love British literature. I really enjoyed his first course. I took a second course of his which virtually mirrored the first course I took, though it wasn't really related. I think he's a one lecture fits all kind of prof. Fortunately for me, he seemed to like my work and even referred to it in a class once.
He is an awful prof who promotes little intelligent thought and interprets literature only from the historical perspective. for example, after an hour of his somewhat uninformed historical lecture he says "so you have the text, the rest is easy." this is in a lit class, the "rest" should be the entire makeup of the class.
Interesting lecturer, but be prepared to get only the historical perspective. Virtually every class starts with a 30 minute recap, so it's easy to keep up, but there is much less actual content to his lectures than I was expecting. Always links the topic to Iran in some way, which gets old. Misunderstands questions, so don't even bother.
A good prof. Truly passionate, his animated lectures are easy to remember. A hard marker for sure, but fair.
overall great prof. second time having him and both times got an a. you need to attend his lectures to do well on his exams and he outlines every single thing that youll expect on his exams. not the easiest marker but if you try hard and he sees it you'll do well.
Just awful. I have no idea how this man became a professor. He doesn't understand the concept of close reading, goes on ridiculous rants about things completely irrelevant to the subject at hand and seems to think he is helping students see literature in an entirely new light. I've never had such trouble paying attention in class, it's painful.
HORRIBLE! it's the only word. Just goes on and on and on about nothing.
Boring, talks about historical events that happened when the work was written rather than about the text itself and its content. easy to lose track of what he's talking about, i do not recommend this teacher.
mumble half of the time about religion when it's an ENGLISH course. OFTEN repeat what he mention early and FORGOT about. NO CLARITY at all of what's his trying to say. DOESN'T use the textbooks at all! A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER IF YOU CAN!!!!!!! (has previous students for previous classes in his classes! yikes!)
the professor has multiple educational degrees making his courses more interesting. He gives a historical, religious and philosophical reference to the literary works. Makes the class more complete and he is very interesting to listen to.
Incomprehensbile, often went off topic, didn't give us proper feedback, didn't prepare us properly for the mid-term or final exam,
Worst professor ever. The class consisted of him rambling about the history surrounding the texts and boring stories from his own personal life. He doesn't analyse the texts, all he does when he's not rambling off topic is give a basic summary. Impossible to reach outside of class. And he refuses to give information on what to expect on the tests.
I took this teacher even after reading the previous comments, and I'm glad I did. He was very approachable and eager to answer any questions. He does go off topic, but he still talks about the class material. Take notes, he says everything that will be covered in the exams.Good prof !
Very good prof, in my opinion. Sure, he tends to ramble on about Persian culture and other facts irrelevant to the class, but he is a kind of Papa Bear who genuinely wants his students to succeed. If you are lazy and truant, don't bother to enroll in his course, because he will call you out on it. I learned a lot from this class.
Really enjoyed his class. He says all that will be on exams, so no worries if you do not read the text. Really cares for his students and is very understanding. Liked him a lot
Enjoyed this class very much and learned a great deal. I especially appreciated the cultural and historical context that Prof. M. provided.
Dr. Moghaddam, is the nicest Prof I've had. He is a little bad about getting distracted while explaining the readings, but he genuinely wants his students to do well. He marks really easy and I enjoyed his class even though it was a little on the long side. Recommend this prof if youre looking for an easy grade and a nice guy.
His teaching is long and off topics often. It's ok for me to sit there and listen to his all kinds of ideas, but this guy can't use English properly while he is teaching it. His editions on writings have big problems, I don't think he is good at English.
Dr. Moghaddam is a well-respected scholar. He is very knowledgeable and cares about his students. Tends to go on and on, yes... but I think he's a great prof. Recommend his classes!
Mahmood repeatedly explains what he wants to see for the midterm and final for each of the assigned readings. He does often go off on random tangent, which I saw as wisdom tidbits, but if you remain focus and take notes, his class is a breeze. Wish I could take him again.
Very nice guy but he tends to go off topic all the time at first its interesting but then he does not have time to cover the material and you end up lost super slow with marking but he is a kind grader do not take him for a summer class he assigns way too many readings
He does tend to ramble but is clear about what he is expecting. Very nice man, extremely understanding. Loved his class.
His classes are very boring but the final is easy if you read the material. I missed one class on two and got an A. He also is very nice one on one. He wants his students to succeed.
Rambles on and has a hard time getting to the point. Not a very difficult class but I he would not explain his expectations for the final paper to me.
What can I say? He's got a good heart and you can tell he loves teaching, but I think it's time he throws in the towel. The lectures were off topic and he tended to get lost in his own personal stories. Class discussions were minimal and questions were answered shortly and confusingly. He's a hilarious person, but I wouldn't suggest his class.
Although he is friendly and seems very passionate about what he does, he has a tendency to get lost in thought. He often goes off track and barely explains the class material. I would certainly not take this class again because I did not actually learn anything from it.
Honestly I never rate teachers but I felt that it was my duty to do so for this class. This teacher makes no sense, loses focus frequently, gives extremely vague explanations & repeats himself all the time. I wouldn't recommend this teacher to my worst enemy. Class notes are nonexistent, tests are hard because you have no notes. You have to read!
Goes off topic, talks about irrelevant things isn't clear, encourages participation yet ignores student's opinions does not cover the readings but belives he did cares more about sociological and political background of texts. Has his own definition of standard essay, does not provide clear instructions. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Rants for a really long time in lectures, rarely about what we are supposed to read. Very hard grader, and while he expects participation, he never grants students the opportunity to contribute.
He does not read the class material and spends half the class ts talking about idiocy , misrepresented assigned texts by actually contradicting the text wile saying that was what he said ( David William's Deformed discourse)
An excellent teacher of the classics. Knows his subject matter very well. Very approachable, and like most profs will respond well if he sees you've read the material.
Horrible teacher, will bore you out of your mind. He barely addresses the readings in class, but rather tends to go on about his personal life. At the end of the semester I knew him better than I knew the subject of the course. I managed to get by because I looked for information on my own time. Beware, you'll have to do the work all on your own.
He is passionate in his lectures, but he rarely discusses the material at hand. He doesn't give a clear indication of what he expects on essays or exams. I would not recommend him.
This guy wasted my time all semester. I only came to class despite the fact that he he graded attendance. His outline was garbage . He came to class unorganized and would ask the students what reading we had that week. Half the time we didn't know because the outline was so unclear! I got a B- through looking up the readings online on Sparknotes.
Avoid at all costs. He makes you buy an anthology and half the readings need to be found online on your own). Rambles on and can spend 45 minutes talking about nothing. Hard to take notes because most of the things he says are useless to the course. Assigns 1 in-class essay, 1 research paper, and a final exam (3 essays to write in 3 hours). Just no
Doesn't come to class prepared. It's a preacher, you need to be able to listen to him all the times; no interaction. Talks about many different things, some off-topic (hard to take notes). He insists on the responsibility of students who really want to learn and that is not the teacher's fault. No slides, boring class, unclear objectives. Avoid!
I am an English MAJOR. I took this course as a requirement, at the end of my degree. This prof dislikes teaching/interacting with students, does not know/follow his own syllabus, regurgitates conventional literary criticism. Refuses to help students. He bullied me during my exam for asking a question, humiliating me. I made a formal complaint.
Prof seemed uninterested in class, invariably showed up late, was unprofessional , read through materials and talked off-topic instead of analyzing or giving theory. The weight of his evaluations was harsh: 15% 7-10pp research paper, and 45% final. His exam questions were really specific, could not be prepared in advance, and were all mandatory.
Although I'm not a big fan of his teaching style, professor Moghaddam was nice and helpful. If you aren't patient enough, don't take him, because he talked out of topic for most of class time. However, he was knowledgable and he emphasized very clearly important things to remember. Take what he says seriously and do apply it, you will get improved.
really outdated ideas of literary theory. this is like a high school class from the 1970s.
Although he is passionate about some of the readings, he goes off topic 98% of the time. His examples are supposed to help students understand better, but don't. He is truly the worst teacher that I have ever had. He made us buy two expensive coursebooks, and meanwhile the readings can all be found online. His syllabus is also useless. NEVER AGAIN.
He does not analyse the stories properly (even makes basic errors in the story details, which is not normal) and only his opinion is acceptable (though art is to be interpreted in many ways?!) He grades an intro class at a ridiculous level which is even worse considering that nothing you say or do is ever right.
biggest regret -doesn't make sense, goes on and on about nothing and always goes off topic. Super vague about papers and criteria but grades super harsh even if you go see him about it. If you ask him questions he just vaguely brushes you off and says its up to you or how you feel.
literally told an intro english class that they shouldn't try to be original in their understandings. the opposite of what every other prof in the department is trying to teach. really really bad.
This dude is the worst prof I have ever had at Concordia. In his lectures he rambles about his personal life endlessly. He is afraid of class participation and gets defensive whenever anyone tries to ask a question. His assignments are ridiculous. Avoid his classes at all costs.
Took as an elective. Class itself was easy enough - 10 or so short stories (all of which could be found online, don't bother buying the books), straightforward midterm, essay, and a final just like the midterm, but the prof is the WORST. Boring, unhelpful, unclear. Ended w a decent grade but suffered and dreaded going to class. Avoid if possible.
Worst teacher at this school, hands down.
Talks down on Religion and Women - also makes zero sense during lectures. Get ready to teach yourself if you want to pass.. And no such thing as asking questions in class, he cuts you off and makes you feel be-littled for having an opinion that's not his own. All around a horrible teacher and not a very nice person.
He is not accessible at all outside of course hours, and does not give assignments back. He lectures the entire course but I learned a lot in his course. I did my readings in class because he lectures very slow, but I also learned a lot of things that I had not learned previously. If you're patient, he's worth studying with.
If you have any self respect, youll take my advice and steer clear from this teacher.
I would definitely not recommend this professor. He was boring and rude. He was also very disorganized. Took weeks to give grades back. All he did was talk, no visuals or anything of the sort. He stood in the front of the class and talked the whole time, that was all.
Dr. Moghaddam has over 30 years in teaching experience and is a great professor to have. He has a lot of experience, stories, jokes and advice that he will share with the class to introduce the material. Every class, he'll do a recap so we gradually remember. If you're willing to put in the effort, he is an amazing prof and mentor to have.
The teacher is knowledgeable & passionate about the subject. I learned a lot. He answers many questions in class & his office hours. The research paper I would recommend talking to him in advance & continuing to ask questions to follow up. If you get stuck, he can help. He is caring & the support is there if you ask for it
When I began attending Concordia University, I was unsure if I was in the right place, if I had chosen the right major, a blizzard of uncertainty. I was a lazy student not willing to put in the work. Eventually I came across professor Mogahddam, his dynamic lectures brought me to have a passion for literature. Hard work pays off, you will enjoy it.
actually the worst teacher i have ever had! very unorganized; rambles on for hours without any sort of lecture cues, isn't clear about expectations on exams; he does not teach; he rambles about his credentials ; his teaching style is not accessible and everyone in my class was constantly confused! will never ever take one of his classes again.
Dr. Moghaddam has a lot of experience of 30 years and plus where he has stories and hilarious jokes that he adds in the introduction of the course material in most of his classes. There is no space for you to relax in his class . You must earn your grade by simply listening to his classes and by participating to his class discussion .
He glides around in lateral thought, having a lifetime of contemplating literature from multiple languages to use as Bernoulli machines. During one lecture, he began to glow a mixture of orange and beige. If you are into wisdom, take the class. The material you can read by yourself, it is rare you get to listen to a passionate madman riff.
Nice overall. Outline can use some work. For example he should split the texts into Classical/Romantic/Victorian and not abbreviate the names of the works so they are easier to find. An interesting English class; Not the same approach as CEGEP (new critical). Cannot recommend if you have issues attending class. No class notes, traditional lectures.
Lectures are non sensical. Grades don't correlate with work provided. He made the class write a 12 page essay with 15 sources for 15% of the grade (without any useful instruction in poetry). Takes attendance, made us purchase $150.00 book that doesn't even have the sources we need in class (Google was more helpful). Not worth it.
I took this course because I love poetry. We barely talked about poetry, as he talks more about his personal life and irrelevant examples. Gets defensive when you ask a question and will never give you a concrete answer. It is impossible for him to give us proper instructions on what the final paper/exam will be. Do NOT recommend.
His teaching style is outdated: there are no visuals, just taking notes about what he says, and grading criteria are often vague. However, it can be adapted to. If you come to class, pay attention, and go to his office hours, he will recognize that you care about what he teaches. Note what he consistently repeats, it will likely be on the exams.
no actual group projects- But do yourselves a big favour- form a study group outside of class to go over & discuss the material(that was supposed to be)covered in class- as this teacher doesn't do much teaching. Unprepared w/ a $100 + textbook that he hadn't consulted before class-all texts in the syllabus were avail online for free. Avoid.
do not take, you've been warned.
Covering a lot of material in a very short time, in-class essays worth too much and 8 page paper worth too little, vague grading criteria, unapproachable and not nice for no reason. To be avoided at all costs.
Terrific teacher. A lot of material and challenging exams but you will learn a lot.
Worst professor ever. Gets off track with all his lectures, debates with students instead of teaching, cuts everyone off, acts superior, belittles his students. Has soooo many tests and essays and doesn't tell us what it's gonna be on or even the format of the test. All in all, horrible. Don't take ever.
If you can avoid this teacher, DO IT. I took Critical Reading and he is the worst lecturer I've ever had. He repeats himself lecture after lecture. He said the n-word with the hard R in class and he justified that it was to be sure we knew what the n-word means. He wants participation in class but cuts and argues with every student.
Avoid this prof at all costs. His lectures are 99% personal anecdotes and 1% relevant information. Repeats the importance of class discussion, but will cut off or condescend any student that tries to contribute. Has very little grasp of what he's even supposed to be teaching on any given day. He is unclear, intolerant, and disrespectful.
He is a great prof with a lot of knowledge. He does tend to go off track but his exams are no surprise just attend class and write down everything he says in class and you'll do fine.
The worst professor I have ever had. He has a significant amount of experience, but thinks the students can't understand anything worth knowing. Be prepared to feel stupid and frustrated with no way to ask for help. He's very disorganized - syllabus was sent Week 3. The best way to explain it: he acts like he retired but still shows up for class.
I'd really recommend not taking him. He seems nice but he's just so boring, so his lectures aren't worth it, but they are also the only way to pass. He doesn't use moodle or e-mails or anything. Instead of analyzing the stories we read, he spent at least 3 classes trying to teach us how to write an essay, rather than focusing on the material.
