Hey so what if he is hard to understand, he is very fair. He scales his tests and does anything for you to do good on the test. His teaching style may need to be modified a bit though. But overall, good guy

He's the best! He's very nice and understanding. he didn't let anyone fail. We were supposed to have 5 tests but took 4 and he let us retake any test we wanted to and keep the final grade. He's kind of hard to understand at first, but you get used to it

I'm taking him now. He does have an accent but it's not that bad. He gives you a study guide for all tests. He goes over all the problems on the tests. He lets you use your book,study guide, and notes on the tests. I mean really what else do you need.

Awesome teacher, I absolutely hate math and got an A. His tests are multiple choice, open book and notebook, he even postponed a test and gave us an extra day of review. I hate math but I was able to get through it because this man is hilarious--you get out of this class what you put in to it. He moves very quickly, and he won't make any extra effort to explain something he's already gone over, however he also allowed us to have open notebook and open book tests. Overall, I didn't mind the class!

HILARIOUS!!! He's not always clear, but he tries the best he can; probably won't ever remember your name, but the attempt will have you in stitches. Good guy, accomodating with his office hours and tests. It may seem like a lot, but its not bad at all, he's generous on grading as well. and yeas, there is a party last day of class.

Good teacher who is willing to answer questions outside of class. Took online section but met with him to go over problems a few times and he was very helpful. Take the precal online course with him and do the work....easy way to pick up a decent grade.

MATH 318 online was the hardest course I've ever taken. The class average was under 60, but the good news is that he scaled the class a lot. He is fair and a good man, but be prepared to work hard if you take this course online.

Dont know what all these bad ratings are about. This professor was great! He scaled every quiz, test and even the final. And he gave extra credit which helped your grade. Dont be lazy and actually try a little and you will EXCEL. Even if the material seems hard at first then ask for help cause he makes it a 100 times easier for you. Trust Me..

Mahlmoud is a great teacher who really cares about the success of his students. He uses coursecompass: a website that shows you step by step how to solve the hw problems. If you work hard, you will do fine in this class because Mahlmoud is an extremely fair grader.

Put in the effort and you will do well. He's very enthusiastic about the material which makes you want to learn. Plus, he's funny as hell and he scales tests. But like I said you MUST put in some effort; it will not be an easy class.

This teacher is extremely fair when it comes to grading. He understands the course is not an easy concept for non math majors and takes that into consideration throughout the semester with scaling exams and assignments. I took the class online. If you go through the lectures and do the practice quizzes and problems you ultimately will do okay.

Professor El-Hashash was extremely helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. If you ask for his help, he will give thorough explainations. His course was well structured and organized. Since it's an online course, what you put into it is what you get out. If you put in some effort and ask for help when you need it, you will do well.

Best math teacher I have ever had. Mahmoud makes me want to show up to class. Math is in no way my strong suit but this professor is so nice and hilarious and he really does make the class fun. If you try and put in effort he will go out of his way to see that you don't fail. I can't say enough good things about this professor, he was so amazing!

Mahmoud was the best math teacher I've ever had! His 105 class is perfect for college students who aren't necessarily math majors, but are completing core requirements. He made coming to class fun every single day, and we always had lots of laughs. I'm actually sad the class is over. I highly recommend the class, he's caring and has a big heart :)

I hated math but the class was very easy. I took him for contemporary math. He let you use textbooks for test in class. Nice Guy but does not speak English very well.

He's been my favorite professor. He's funny and helpful and cares about his students. It's basically impossible to fail this course with him as a professor. He scaled all my test and my two finals. I would really suggest taking this class with him as your prof.

Honestly I was dreading having to take this class as Math is my worst subject AND it was during summer. However, Profsssor El-Hashash completely changed my mindset. The course load is moderate, 3 hws, 3 quizzes, and 3 exams (you get two chances per assignment) He responds to emails immediately, gives you study guides and is so caring and funny!!

I took this course because it was mostly online but I was nervous about this professor because of other students ratings. I am glad I gave him the benefit of the doubt. There was a good amount of work and the exams in class were difficult. The online exams we could try twice and scaled all of them. A little hard to understand with his accent.

Hate math, loved this class. Math is a difficult subject for me but Mahmoud assured me that as long as I worked hard, I would pass! Tests, and quizzes come right from the homework, so it's really easy to get a handle on the material.

There were 3 homeworks, 3 quizzes, and 3 tests so it is very manageable for a 5-week summer course! He even was generous enough to give us all 100's on our last quiz!! I took Foundations of mathematical reasoning. I am not good at math and found this class super hard. It was online homework, quizzes, and tests. Although I really struggled the professor was awesome. Everything was scaled in your favor and he made sure that all students were happy. I really struggled in this class but would take again with him.

I took his class over winter-break so we only had three weeks but El-Hashash laid it down clearly. Three HW, three quizzes, and three exams, one each over the three weeks. Was able to take quizzes and exams twice, you had three attempts per question on the HW, and he scaled all quizzes and exams, very nice and would definitely recommenced.

Talking about Mahmoud, There is nowhere to start, he talks math. He is very clear about explanations, and will often go above and beyond to show a good example. He really cares about your grade, he is always able to make a joke. His tests can be hard, but if you do bad; he will scale it, drop it, or allow retakes. I HIGHLY recommend this guy!

Mahmoud is tough but a great professor. Pay attention to lectures because he makes mistakes sometimes which can be frustrating. If you go to every class and participate hell probably give you extra credit at the end of the semester. Most tests are open notes/you get a cheat sheet

Mahmoud is awesome! So funny and wants all his students to pass. Listened to us when we asked for problems and solutions to help with the homework. We had three tests, ten homeworks, and the final. If you get an A on the final you'll get an A in the class.

Mahmoud truly cares about his students passing he knows that calculus isnt the easiest of subjects and that webwork isnt the easiest for homework. He scales generously on tests and always allows one cheat sheet for notes during tests.

He is one of the best professors I have ever had. He respects and appreciates his students. If there is something difficult to understand he will definitely help you , his exams are not that difficult , It is the same level of the examples given, If he sees your interest and your attempts to succeed , he will support you ! To sum it up, Professor Mahmoud really cares about his students. He was very clear in his syllabus about the grading process and number of assignments. He is very fair with grading and we were allowed 2 attempts at each assignment and scaled the quizzes and tests. He is always standing by to help and responds to emails rapidly. Great Professor!!

Grade level Topics in Statistics course. Took me deeper into the subject matter than I had ever been previously. Examples used are all real world based. Great course, very good instructor. His accent can at times be distracting but the context usually helps clarify his points. Have to stay up on the work, can't fall behind, don't miss the lectures!

Mahmoud is honestly very strange, but he is hilarious and will make you laugh. His stats class is wicked easy. Homework, quizzes, tests, and final is all online with multiple attempts. Take him for an easy class and an easy A/B.

Great Professor. I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. The homework assignments were long but he extended due dates to give us more time. Attendance was not mandatory but he gave extra credit if you attend all the classes so it's worth it. He cares about the students and helps you succeed. Definitely recomend classes with him.

I took this class post-graduation to raise my GPA for grad school applications. The work was very straightforward as long as you complete all of the assignments and I even found it very enjoyable. Dr. Mahmoud is great, he is a very intelligent and understanding professor who brightens a rather dull subject (and I really enjoy math). He is very responsive to emails and is there to help and wants to see everyone of his students succeed. Calculus is a very difficult subject but Dr. Mahmoud will show you all the tricks to simplify problems!

The course work was easy to understand and he was readily available for any comments/concerns. The professors grading criteria was clear and he was very lenient when it came to adding extra points, giving extensions and scaling the grades-especially the final exam which I thought was really helpful. This professor is very chill and understanding!

The class will be very hard no matter who you have. Mahmoud is so funny and energetic it makes things more tolerable

Took Math 105 online this semester and it was an amazing experience with him. He really cares about his students and their success. Workload was average for a summer class...3 HW 3 quizzes and 3 tests. All under stable and fair if you watch lectures. Hes amazing!!!

The work was a little challenging since the class I took was asynchronous. However, Professor El-Hashash scales both quizzes and exams (including the final) so as long as you apply yourself, you should be fine. He is very strict about deadlines, so make sure you give yourself enough time to get everything done. Overall, he is a great professor!

Mahmoud is awesome! He is very communicative, which was key since I took this as an asynchronous course. He is very clear about when things are due and what he expects. He is THE greatest professor I've had so far. Half of the class didn't show up and those that did automatically got extra credit, he switches to zoom sometimes just for fun, and at the end of the semester he brought my grade up from a B+ to a A-. Honestly, I could've got a A+. He gives second (and sometimes third) chances on exams & SCALES a lot.

In short, he was a great professor. He was very available when needed and communicated back and forth in a very timely manner. His class and his methods, as well as his lectures, made the class a pleasure to be in. I would highly recommend Professor El-Hashash as your first choice for any math class that he is teaching.

I struggled with math and got terrible grades but he scaled them so I could pass. He's very accommodating and always available for extra studying time and extra help and will answer every single question asked in detail. He's very friendly and easygoing. All you need to do is show up and make an attempt and communicate and you cannot fail.

Calc is notoriously hard. I highly recommend taking with Dr. El-Hashash. There is a lot of materials to be covered but as long as you stay focused, watch all the materials, and do your best. You will do well in this class. He also offers extra help if needed and does his best to make sure you understand the materials. Very respected!

Professor El-Hashash is an amazing teacher to have in my first year of college. He was extremely understanding and was willing to work with anyone who needed him. He is also a very easy grader when weighing grades and making sure everyone passes! I 100 percent recommend it.

I took a Calculus II with El-Hashash as a summer class. It was pretty intense given that the whole thing was only five weeks long. However I feel like he did a good job covering the main points, and he was very generous with us when it came to the grading. The homework assignments also helped with practicing the material.

Professor El-Hashash is an amazing math instructor. His classes are well-structured, and he genuinely cares about student success. The material can be challenging, but with his guidance and Unstuck ai for study prep, I was able to excel.

I took this class during the summer, and it was a hard class, but he graded very fairly, and often graded tests on a curve, which helped the grade. His notes were comprehensive and his teaching was very good. Overall I would recommend taking this class.

Professor Mahmoud was energetic & engaging. Online homework provided a strong foundation, while in-class discussions effectively addressed any confusion. He was patient & acomodeted to diverse learning styles. Class attendance was encouraged & rewarded with extra credit, but not mandatory for those who felt comfortable with the material.

Class is just lecture and practice problems. Homework is minimal most of the grade comes from test, which he curves. He really does want students to pass. He can be very judgmental when answering questions in class.
