I love her...she is so funny and as long as you do the homework you will get an A or B on the tests. See explains most things, and has little quirky things that make class funny.

She grades harshly, but also teaches the subject very well. Students are upset that she is 'too mean' or something when she is really very nice to them and just wants to ensure that they learn the subject at hand.

I loved her! She is so funny and cute. She makes sure that everybody understands the lesson and if not will go over it until you do. For our stats class she let us make cheat sheets for our tests which were very helpful. I enjoyed her class very much.

As a whole the class was alright. The downside was the group work, but my partner did all of it because I have horrible handwriting. Also she collects homework. You can use notes on the tests. Usually get out around 30 minutes early. Cute personality.

she teaches the subject very in depth, takes it further than the book. but she teaches very well and ensures you know it. do all the homework and be there for the lectures, and you'll do fine. Also, her test are long and often take longer than the scheduled time. final took some 6 hours +.

great teacher,so funny someitmes "nah, nah nah." always helpful, uses as many examples as possible to help you underrstand. do the homework, quizzes come from those, and she goes over problems that will be on the test! if you do your work, and try hard, an A is hard to miss.

She was hilarious. I loved this class. She made the subject matter very easy to understand. She really cares how well you do and won't go n until you understand the material. I highly reccomend taking her for statistics. Just do the homework and the group work and you will get at least a B.

she is really nice but her class is not the easiest- like every other class you need to work for your grade. if you show that you care she likes it- do the homework keep up with her and you will be fine! but dont expect for an easy A or B if u are planning to F around! take her she is cool!

She moves along quickly...the class itself was hard, but in all honesty, u get the grade u deserve. the harder u work, the better your great. if you slack off...don't expect a great grade.

Who would think that calculus could be fun and interesting? Mrs.Rahnamaie teaches very clearly and uses lots of helpful examples. she goes over the material that will be on the tests in detail, you just need to do your homework, because most of the tests are based on problems similar to homework problems. I highly recommend professor Rahnamaie!

She is an amazing woman/teacher: you can go to her with ANY problem and she will help. It seems like it is her passion to help students really grasp math. She is HILARIOUS in class, has the cutest accent, and I SWEAR she is a human calculator!! It's just... wrong... Last, her tests are EXACTLY what we do in class- no surprises.

She's a good teacher, I would take another math class from her. If you don't understand accents very well I would avoid taking a class from her. I understood the material pretty well, just do the homework problems all over again before the test it will be helpful review. Don't hestitate to ask her questions in class or out of class, shes helpful.

This woman absolutely lives and breathes calculus! She is an amazing teacher, very helpful and clear (she also has a great personality and is hilarious,which makes class fun). Very methodic in regards to explaining new material. Not too much homework, but her tests are torture, so study. Nice personality and fun. Attending class is crucial because a lot of material is covered. She kind of lets you down if you ask a question that SHE considers dumb, because like she loves to say, "this is from fourth grade".

Assigns and collects homework, also has group work worth a couple points EVERY CLASS SESSION. The tests are easy and the homework doesn't take long at least. Allows for a good amount of extra credit at the end of the semester as well. IMPORTANT: If you don't have one already, buy a TI-83+ graphing calculator for this class and LEARN TO USE IT.

dont take her if you are a slacker. she assigns homework everyday, 3 tests and a ginormous final. shes adorable, funny, a little weird but smart.makes the subject a little less torturing.overall a great math teacher ..shes a human calculator.

very nice lady but treats the class like its a kindergarten class or middle school class. A bit weird at times. Its hard to understand her because of her accent when teaching. She cares for her students and their progress in the class.

She assigns a lot of HW which is to be turned in. Her tests can be very challenging if you aren't prepared. The occasional take home 'quiz', but she makes sure it's a hard one. Overall, good teacher but excessive work required to pass.

She is a GREAT teacher. Her class is tough, but isnt a college class supposed to be tough? She really cares about her students and is always willing to give extra help. Her grading is totally fair. Shes not an "easy A". but if you really want to understand math from one of the smartest teachers ever i suggest you take her class.

I loved this professor! She sticks to the syllabus so you always know what needs to be done. She assigns hw every class but they are due the day of the test. You have to come to every class because she assigns groupwork for points every day. She's very funny & explains everything very thoroughly and answers and questions you have.

shes a small witty lady. very intellegent but what math major isnt right? her class is very difficult. if you want to learn the material shes great just be prepared for hours of studying a week.

Professor Rahnamaie is amazing. This class is definitely hard but if you don't slack and study you'll do just fine. She is brilliant but really if you are all about taking the easy way out take a different teacher. She takes the whole waitlist because more than half the class drops because they don't want to work hard. Over all a great teacher!

LOVED HER! She is absolutely fantastic! Super animated and super funny, but aside from that, an amazing teacher! She explains everything crystal clear in an efficiant way. The summer class is not easy, but if you do all the homework and pay attention to the 'special problems', you will be prepared for the tests.

Very amusing little lady! she lets you have a cheat sheet for all tests, but keep reviewing them throughout the semester, final is cummulative and very pain in the ass hard. took 3 1/2 hours, and i somehow got a d on it, despite getting a's on all my tests...not really sure how that works...

Highly recommend this teacher! She's a cute little lady that is very entertaining and explains things extremely well. She allows a formula sheet on the test and gives alot of chances to get extra credit. Only negative is she sometimes keeps you later then she should...but overall great!

This is the best teacher I have ever had. She teaches! What I mean is she will take the information you are learning and re explain it in a way that makes it easy to understand. She also has a voice and accent that you would want to hear read you a bed time story!

If your going to take Statistics I recommend her! She is very helpful and wants you to pass. Unless your a genius you should do the homework and study some and you'll pass. Lays out what you have to do the first day of class. Nice, funny lady who keeps the class smiling. Great at teaching and is Incredible at math! Great Teacher!!

I hadn't take a math class in three years and was terrified, but she's so clear and thorough about explaining things and she will literally bend over backwards to help you (she was on medical leave for a back injury, but came back despite doctors orders). the negative reviews below are my classmates who came into the class unsure of basic laws of exponents and fractions. they lacked basic algebra skills from the beginning and continued to ask offensively basic questions until the last day. mayad is an incredible woman, i wish she would teach every class i take at moorpark from here on out.

She is an amazing teacher that knows all there is about the subject. Believe it or not when you have her, she conveys the subject very clearly compared to other teachers, and makes sure you get it before moving on. She was an overall joy to have, has a great sense of sarcasm (which I love), and I learned a lot.

I took her for pre calc....she explains things very well and heps you if you need it. Cares for her students and makes class very enjoyable. However you need to work really hard in this class to get a good grade, but only because it's precalc. I say take her! She will really prepare you.

Professor Rahnamaie is one of the best math professors I have ever had. Calculus is not an easy subject but she puts in the effort to make sure the material is understood. She goes over what will be on her tests days before the test to give the class time to prepare. her group work acts as a nice grade buffer. No quizzes. What a wonderful teacher!

She is a very nice person. She is helpful but you have to do the work. Testes are fair enough.

I enjoyed her personality; she's fun. Although, I pretty much learned the course by myself. Notes help little, and some days you take 1 pg. to none. She is there for you if you go to office hours. Excessive amounts of H.W. where 12 the time you don't even know how to begin. She rambles wo teaching, is sloppy, doesn't keep her word, confusing.

She is an amazing prof. People saying she is not good at her job either didnt put in the time or shouldn't be doing a major that requires the knowledge of calculus. Not everyone is intelligent enough to be a STEM major and some people havn't accepted that yet. If you love math you will love her class.

She is one of the best professor at Moorpark. Her class is amazingly interesting and easy. If you understand her its and easy A. Just doing all the homework you can get an A.

Professor Rahnamaie is an awesome teacher!! I had no experience with calc in high school and I did fine in her honors class. If you are an engineering student then I would recommend taking her because you will learn Calc 1 like the back of your hand!! If you want an easy A then don't take her because she is going to make you work for your grade.

Prof. Rahnamaie is very good. She does not throw you curve balls. If you pay attention in lecture, and do the homework, and study, you should pass. She is very clear on what she expects of you, and her tests are very fair. She cares about her students, when many other math professors dont. She does give partial credit, which is VERY nice.

Prof. Rahnamaie is very good. But I will say this, I was in her honors class and math is not my strong suit, so if that is the case, It is a very time intensive class. I was in 17 units trying to fit this class in and though possible, it is EXTREMELY tough. However, she is a good teacher, funny, that cares about her students. Very straight forward.

She's absolutely amazing in the way she teaches. Very clear in how she wants you to solve a problem which is usually the easiest way, encourages you to ask questions. She is even willing to explain the algebra part of the problem to students who have poor arithmetic. So far the best math teacher i have had and i would take again

An AMAZING teacher. Calc 2 is definitely a hard class, but she always tried her absolute best to make it understandable. She's definitely a character, always so funny and sarcastic, and the class environment was always lively. Although she is no longer teaching, I wanted to give her the review she deserved. One of the best teachers I've had in my academic career. I am by no means a math person and struggle with the subject but her lectures made calculus bearable. She's like a personal cheer leader rooting for you every step of the way. Only thing I didn't like was the partner work at the end of class.
