Prof. Peterson is an amazing teacher, she open the topic of Women History a topic I thought would be dry, she managed to make an interesting and engaging class out of. She will encourage you to critically think about the material and will look for your participation. If you need it for GE take her, you will learn and have fun.

She's super nice. Her exams are ridiculously simple. If you have a decent memory you probably don't need to study for them. I dislike history but she made the class interesting.

Really enjoyed taking her class. She's very direct and clear in what she will test you on. Her tests are on the lectures and videos she makes you watch in class. I highly recommend taking her!

Oh my goodness I don't know where to start. She is fantastic. Her lectures are not overwhelming. They are interesting and super easy to remember. You have to try to fail her class. Her study guide is your key to an A. The best part of class is discussion, everyone has a story they want to tell that relates to a topic in class. It's awesome!

Professor Peterson is one of my favorite professors. She really explains the concepts and goes into detail from what she has on power points. It's kinda of hard to hear her, she has a soft voice. 4 tests and 1 final. The tests are super easy, everything is from the notes. Only 15 questions and 1 essay question. 2 essays, no more than 2 pages.

Such an amazing professor! Shes so sweet and make you really enjoy womens history. Skip class? Wont pass. I would for sure take her again! Loved her class!

Prof Maite is an Amazing professor. I took this class during Winter 17 session and she is such an inspirational and caring professor. She explains everything so clear! I have never enjoyed history class before because all my previous professors would just stand infront of class talk for three hours, which made it extremely boring. She is the Best!

She's such a sweet person! Took the class during Winter. It was extremely easy. She gives study guides that are exactly like the exams! :D Exams are 15 multiple choice 1 essay question. You write 2 papers nothing difficult. Lectures off PowerPoints; however, uploads the slides after lecture. Easy A. I would definitely retake her class!

Amazingggg! Prof. Peterson, if you're reading this, keep doing what you're doing. Super easy class but very informative. Tests are so easy you would have to try to fail, same goes with her other assignments. I took her for History 111, I continued to do her History 115. 2 essays, 4 tests, 1 cumulative final. Recommended 12/10.

If you're a person who doesn't like feminism this is not your class. But if you're neutral about it or support it then this is a good class to expand your knowledge. 4 tests 1 final & 2 papers, super super easy I would recommend 100% I'm taking her again for 111. Her lectures aren't boring if you actually are interested. Overall this is an easy A

She's so sweet and isn't trying to make your life difficult. She understands that you have other classes to worry about as well which is very appreciated. It's not a lot of reading. This class opened my eyes. The information you get from this class will change the way you think which I love. There's so much a lot of us have to learn from history.

She is so sweet, she doesnt make your life hard, I used to hate history but she made it actually interesting. I wanted to drop the class because I had an important test to study, Im happy I didnt do that. Honestly her tests were not hard, Everything was based on her study guides. Dont miss her lectures then you will pass it with a good grade.

4 short quizzes, 1 final, 2 short 2 page essays. Weekly reading assignments of short documents. PP and study guides posted on Canvas are really helpful. Attendance is important so you don't miss anything for tests. Took this class once a week, so lectures went on the whole 3 hours and seemed like a drag even though it was all interesting.

Very easy class if you listen and take notes. I took it in summer and passed with A. Very interesting lextures and she is a very nice person. Highly recommend!!!

Ms. Peterson was seriously awesome! She really cares about her students and is really respectful. She's passionate about her teachings & makes sure all her students understands. She grades by a few things and she would also make study guides which were exactly what was on the quiz! Can't wait to take her again.

Tests are very easy if you pay attention in class, her test has 15 multiple choice ?s and one essay question that needs critical thinking. She is very caring and students can really see that, takes everyone's opinion with respect. Her class is huge so it gets out of control, I wish she was able to handle the loudness strictly.

Professor Peterson was an excellent professor. She taught the class with a passion for the subject and related a lot of what we learned in class to the world today. She even lent me one of her personal books to read on the topic and we still regularly converse on the topic of history from time to time. Participate, do the reading and you'll do fine

This was one of the best professors I've had in GCC for history she is very caring and helps a lot just sow up take notes and you'll do fine based on her notes is on the test. I highly recommend you to take this class with this professor.

I've sticked with Professor Peterson ever since History 111 she opened up my view of women in history and i'm so thankful to have met her while attending here. She is an inspiring, brilliant and fun professor! All her books she recommends to read are interesting and worth it. Take her for history, I promise you it will be worth it.

I love professor Peterson!!!! All you have to do is listen to her lectures, take notes, make sure to really review those notes, read her assignments and theres your A. She was probably my favorite professor at GCC. Very reliable. She made me appreciate soooo much more than I could have ever imagined.

The information never felt overwhelming and you walk away with an ample understanding of the subject. Easy grader and over-all easy quizzes and exams. Take note of the quiz questions because they make a come back in the final exam. Take her, she is one of those rare professors in GCC that make a lingering mark.

Took her class over the winter and thought it would be overwhelming since it is crammed into 5 weeks, but this class was a breeze. She is very straight forward and will open up your view on womens history. The best History professor. I took History 111 in Summer 2019 and she made me feel in love with Womens History and she made me understand and learn every small detail about Women in American History. Besides that she is a great professor of History, she is also a nice person, kind hearted and very patient with her students.

She is honestly the best history professor out there. I took her class in the summer it was a lot but fairly easy. Just pay attention to the lectures and do the work. She made like womens history and most importantly changed my views in a way. The class consisted of a total of 4 exams, 2 papers, and a final.

Her relatable attitude Is so fresh and pleasant to see in a professor. She is so amazing!!! The tests are easy as long as you pay attention in class and read the Power points she gave. There are four tests worth 25 points each, one final test worth 100 points and 2 essays worth 50 points each. There are all that are graded so you need to do good on all of them to get an A. Pay attention to extra credit opportunities.

I took her 111 and 118 class and I have never had so much fun in her class. Even if you don't like history, this class is nothing like the history classes from high school. Just memorize the slides and you're set!

I took this as a winter class so it was a lot shorter for the semester. It was very easy to pass this class you have to read and take notes and you'll be able to pass the class. She gives you study guides for the tests and they have similar questions and don't have trick questions.

I recommend taking her!! reason why is she cares about her students and her lectures and assignments definitely will help you on the exams.

I mean 4.5/5. Her lecture slides, videos and texts she gives you are very informative. Assignments and quizzes are not hard. Only one reason of 4.5/5 is that I didnt receive any grade (except week 1 discussion) until few days before the due of final. I highly recommend to take her!

She's super easy and accommodating. It's not hard to get into contact. The class isn't too heavy on workload and yet you learn so much. It's a good class to take your first year as you learn to get the hang of college life and helps you develop skills that help for other classes, like writing. I really enjoyed this class. so easy. i recommend taking her online for 8 weeks. every week, theres one discussion post and a quiz. every other week is the same w an essential question prompt. she provides the textbook for you and the final is just a 2 page paper. trust me when i say you should take this professor. its so easy, and very easy to contact as well.

Professor Peterson was a true gem. She understood that we were in a pandemic, she would let us turn in assignments late. You have a discussion, quiz , and an essential question every other week. Very east, just read the articles and power points.

Cares about her students. Very interesting course explains everything well and overall a great human being. The workload is bearable for the most part just make sure to do all the readings and all the worked get deserved points.

Professor Peterson truly cares for her students and adjusts the course as necessary (not just for timing issues, but current events). She values a greater overall understanding of history and answering the "why?" question over simple memorization of dates and facts which made the class much more interesting in my opinion. No quizzes are a bonus!

Best professor I have had so far! She is so sweet and her lectures are so in depth and educational. I loved this class. We only had a couple assignments in total and she even said we didn't need to take to final if we wanted because of stress and such. which helped me so much. Professor Peterson is perhaps one of the kindest professors one can take. She is caring about her students, and wants all of them to succeed by 1) learning the subject, and 2) getting as high of a grade as one can possibly receive. I LOVE HER! Made me switch from STEM to Sociology. Cares about her students, is passionate about history, gives extra credit, drops an assignment. Loved her class. I took it at the same time with POL101 and the knowledge from her class helped me understand and build knowledge for my Political science class. Loved the discussions and she is very passionate about the subjects. She gives current and real-life examples to elaborate on the subject.

Professor Peterson's class was inspiring and very informative. The lectures and reading materials were very informative and easy to manage. We also had to watch a few videos throughout the semester. Her class leans into how personal history is. She asks those comfortable sharing how the material we cover affects the present day & us. Class can be emotional due to the events covered but she covers it with sensitivity. No tests just discussion posts & short writings on lectures/small readings provided. She is kind & passionate about the subject!

Few assignments and no tests. Her class focuses on the personal connection we have to history & how it affects present day. The topics can get heavy & she handles them with sensitivity. She also tends to end class early to allow students to speak with her about grades or the lecture. She is kind and understanding so if you need help, tell her.

Professor Peterson was a great prof. Homework was given maybe 2x-3x a month and was understanding if you needed an extension. Please participate in her class, she looks sad when students don't interact with her lectures. There's no tests, the final is a paper and assignments are super easy; they can be completed in 1 hour or less.

Professor Peterson is so kind and caring, if you need help or an extension she will accommodate you. When talking about sensitive subjects, she makes sure that everyone is okay afterwards. Participating in her lectures is the best. She hardly gives homework. Highly suggest taking her classes, it's the best decision you can possibly make.

Really good lectures no quizzes or test. A couple in class assignments really easy. And a couple of essential questions which is one question and u answer based from the lecture the slides and the book if u use it. The book is given in pdf form by her and u don't need to read it if u don't want too.

She's extremely accommodating so the fact that I work full time was never an issue, she was always the utmost supportive. LOVED this class!!
