Dr. Fotuhi is one of the best professors I have had at GW. He is very caring, funny, and knowledgeable. He is a very good lecturer and his lectures are very interesting and organized. Class is based on a couple of quizzes and a cumulative final exam. You learn a lot from this class without it being stressful. Would highly recommend this class!

Dr. Fotuhi's class was surprisingly fun! I'm not a STEM heavy psych student but the way he introduces the course content made learning about neuropsych fun and personal. In my first impression of Professor Fotuhi, I could see why someone would see him as too confident. However, I think that the confidence is warranted by his years of experience as a neuropsychologist, and he cares about his students a lot. In addition, I do appreciate the option of being able to do extra credit courses.

Dr. Fotuhi is a very passionate lecturer. He clearly loves the subject, cares about his students and wants them to accel. He can seem a little insensitive at times, but he's a great instructor and the class is very well-taught, well-organized and informative. I do wish we went into more depth on certain topics though, particularly physiology.

He is fantastic! Very educated individual (Harvard Med/ Hopkins PhD) and gives opprotunities for learning beyond the syllabus of the class. Biweekly quizzes, final exam. Opprotunity for presenting a topic related to neuroscience that you are interested in. Great class to take if you are interested in medicine or healthy living in general!

He made all the content very easily digestible and topics connected throughout the course to ease understanding. There was a lot of class interaction/participation. Was such a good professor, was really scared about this class since I'm not the biggest fan of neuroscience or cog psych, but I ended up really enjoying his class! Was really lecture heavy but his quizzes are very straightforward and had a decent amount of opportunities for extra credit

Dr. Fotuhi managed to make a lot a complex information extremely easy to understand in a very digestible manner. He was also so enthusiastic about his presentations, that it made it really easy for us to be excited about what we were learning. This was my favorite classes I've taken here, and taking it with Dr. Fotuhi was an even better experience.

your grade is dependent on five quizzes and participation with two opportunities for extra credit, so make sure you do well on the quizzes as there aren't many opportunities to bolster your grade. This professor may be one of the best I've had at GW. The lectures are interesting and a great mix of dense information and real-life examples to lighten the class. Some facts that you learn seem 'unbelievable', and then he would go to immediately show a study or MRI proving it to be correct. He memorized all of our names in a week which was kind.

Amazing professor, truly cares about the students and their learning. Lectures are not mandatory but are extremely applicable to everyday life. Grades are the least of worries in this class. His lectures are incredibly interesting because he's passionate about what he teaches and the way he presents the course materials is so interesting to listen to. He genuinely wants each student to succeed so the class is not difficult. Just quizzes, one exam + attendance.

Dr. Fotuhi is extremely knowledgeable and cares for his students, always making sure that everyone understands what is being taught to them. Overall, this is the best course I have taken so far in the psychology department, and I would advise anyone against missing the opportunity to take this class.

Prof is passionate ab this course, kind, respectful, engaging. Was genuinely v excited to come to class. Lots of extra credit opportunities are given. Students also make their own quiz questions and he/the GA select questions from those provided to be in the course quizzes. I highly recommend this course and would take him again if I could!

Lectures are very informative and delivered with enthusiasm. Clinical cases offer real life-examples to topics covered in class. The professor is extremely knowledgeable, easy-going, engaging, and fun.

On the first day of class he stood up and held two decks of cards out to the crowd. He then read off 2 whole decks of cards, without looking, all from memory. He said it was quite easy and he would teach us if we wanted for an extra credit assignment. Later in the course, I stood up in front of the class and did the same thing! He's the best!

Professor Fotuhi is the best professor I have ever had. He is a great lecturer, extremely knowledgable about the topic, and wants everyone to do well. There are many ways to get extra credit, outlined in the syllabus, which made this class a lot less stressful. I learned a lot in this course and I 100% recommend it. He also listens to feedback!

Dr Fotuhi is an amazing professor! He listens and asks for feedback and then incorporates it immediately- For example halfway through the course he started giving partial credit for quizzes (which was very helpful!) He is also incredibly knowledgeable!

Prof Fotuhi is great, his class is very easy to follow and get a good grade in if you take advantage of the extra credit he offers. Attendance is required but he's just a man who likes to talk about his field of study, so it's fun to attend his lectures

Mr. Fotuhi was an amazing professor during my summer course at Johns Hopkins. He is very understanding and easy to talk to. His lectures are very intriguing and make you want to participate even if you are the shy type. His slides go over what you are tested on so you don't have to be worried about scouring for easter eggs within his lectures.

I really enjoyed this class. Professor Fotuhi is super nice and very understanding, which makes the class feel a lot less stressful. He explains the material clearly and always patient. He also offers quite a few extra credit opportunities.

I have learned so many interesting things about the brain and how it is connected to everyday activities! Dr. Fotuhi makes sure to explain everything carefully, and he will cold call on you but is encouraging to help you find the answer to his question. A lot of extra credit opportunities!

I was scared to take this course since neuropsychology was the worst for me when it came to psych topics, but Prof. Fotuhi makes lectures so fun, and you can tell he actually cares for his students. Majid Fotuhi is a great professor. The course is difficult conceptually but he is very passionate about the subject and cares for his students in the sense that he wants them to learn. Attendance is mandatory. BE ON TIME. I give him a 4 and not a 5 is because he rarely responds to his emails.

If you show up and participate, you'll be fine. It's not a demanding class at all, but his quizzes can be specific. Overall, he really wants you to succeed and finish with an A, so he will help you. Can be kinda condescending sometimes.

Professor Fotuhi is an amazing lecturer who tries his best to make you fully understand and enjoy class and offers a lot of extra credit to ensure you are more worried about learning the content than keeping your grade super high. He teaches across a wide range of topics and backs up his studies through accredited research articles.

wonderful professor! dr. fotuhi is incredibly knowledgeable and teaches a multitude of applicable concepts to daily life (how to decrease risk for alzheimer's, how to improve your memory, etc.). he is fascinating and a great lecturer. easy assignments/quizzes thus easier to learn and take in information without ridiculous amounts of stress.

The professor makes the lectures enjoyable adding lots of humor. It's very easy to do well in this class, it's very forgiving if you don't do well on the quizzes there many extra credit opportunities. The prelecture questions are very helpful as they prepare you for future quizzes and prepare for the lecture's content.

Prof Fotuhi for Psych 3118 was easily the most interesting class I have taken at GWU. His lecture are engaging, and he involves students to make it more interesting. He provides plenty of extra credit opportunities, and overall does an amazing job teaching neuropsychology

Professor Majid is one of the best professors that I have had at GW so far. His lectures are very engaging. There is a lot of content, but the way it is presented makes it easy to pick up on and remember. There are only daily participation questions, 4 quizzes, 1 final, and a lot of extra credit. Extremely engaging in lectures and clearly cares about his students. Makes the information very accessible for those who don't have a background in neuroscience, so a great course for psychology students (like myself). Some topics can get a little boring, but for me that's because I'm more interested in social psychology than biological psychology.

The material is very interesting to me so I alr enjoy the class, but even if you don't particularly prefer sitting in lectures, Dr. Fotuhi knows how to keep you engaged and often shares stories from patients he's worked with + personal experiences. 4 quizzes, nothing crazy, just memorizing (understanding really) the info from the slides + MC final.

At first I was planning on dropping as I thought it was too difficult, but after the first class I knew I wanted to continue because the professor was so passionate, encouraging, and inspiring. He makes it easy to relate these topics to everyday lives. I'm really sad the semester is ending and wish I could take it again. I learned so much.

Great professor - he makes lectures genuinely interesting with his humor and anecdotes. Definitely study the slides for the quizzes, they aren't hard if you study but you will fail if you don't. Dr. Fotuhi is very knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. The course grade is built off of 4 quizzes (all with EC), participation and one MCQ final. However, there are lots of opportunities for extra credit. The subject material can be a lot but the lectures are interesting so learning/memorization isn't too challenging.
