He is a great teacher who really engages the class in the subject. I feared taking a science but after his class I'm already signed up for his fall geology class to hae more fun.

This teacher is very excited about Geology and will answer any question you throw at him but the tests are tricky. Reading the notes and the study guide are not enough to prepare for the test, he wants you to know it in depth. Super Nice teacher but do not take this class if you are looking for an easy grade, not many A's in this class.

The BEST geology teacher at San Jac. I hate sciences and this is definitely the class and teacher to take!!! i will be taking him for geology 1405 because he is so helpful and very fun. i decided to take him because of the reviews i read and im go glad i did!!! seriously the best teacher!!!!! i promise!!! take him!!!!! :)

Great teacher! VERY clear. Doesn't use textbook. Will admit it if he isn't certain of the answer to a question you ask and look it up later to answer it for you. His lecture exams are short answer essay but as long as you know the material you'll be fine. He always summarizes what will be on the test so you know what to study.

He's really nice and a good professor. Keeps you interested by telling you stories that relates to the subject. You actually have to study to pass. But it is overall a very interesting class. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Mr. Saddler is an amazing teacher! He is very knowledgeable about what he is teaching, he is willing to answer any questions you have! show up to class, take the notes, read the notes and you will pass the class! his test are not hard if you read the notes! also gives extra credit on test! VERY EASY CLASS IF YOU DO THE WORK!

Test and labs are only easy IF you study, you plan on not putting in the work pick another teacher!! Very helpful and passionate about the subject, and such a lovely person! He keeps everyone smiling and laughing, what a privilege to have him as a professor if I needed another elective I would ABSOLUTELY TAKE HIM AGAIN!!

Hands down the best professor I have ever had. Passionate, genuinely cares for students success, interesting, and a great person in general. This class was a breeze for me as a Geophysics major. Worked nights and missed a lot of class made 100's on test. Straightforward tests. He is understanding and will work with you. Sad the semester is over.

One of the best professors ive ever had! Truthfully this will probably be the first and last rating that ill do because Mr. Sadler is great. He is very passionate, something many teachers lack today. Take his course if you want to learn and put in work to earn your grade. Not a blowoff class, and you really wouldnt with him as your professor.

Mr. Salder is by far one of the best teachers i've ever had, he loves what he teaches and loves his students, hi passion or it made me take a likiong to it, and thats hard to do. He gives extra credit for every test but as with any test studying gives you the upper hand. He is willing to work with you and cares about your grade.

By far the coolest teacher I've had. Goofy as all getout but the nicest teacher there could be. Helps with anything you need, goes out of his way to explain things for you and is understanding if you miss class a few times. Not a blow off class and deserves respect but you'll have such a fun time.

LOVE this class and Mr. Sadler is AWESOME! He is quirky but very intelligent and genuinely wants you to succeed in his class. Take great notes as this will directly apply to how well you do on his tests. Listen to the podcasts and do the reviews and you will do great! I was referred to Mr. Sadler by ANOTHER Geology teacher at SJC (Jarvis) and was not disappointed! He's so amazing and really knows his stuff and WANTS you to pass. He offers extra credit on every test, HW assignments are super easy, is flexible and understudying when it comes to life events happening. I would recommend him highly!

This teacher is amazing! I've taken geology at the university level and it was so tough I felt like I didnt learn anything. But with Mr. Sadler, he makes everything clear and includes lots of pictures in his lectures to demonstate his points. He's incredibly patient and always available for questions. If you have to take a science take Mr. Sadler.

Mr. Sadler's class has made me decide to change my major to geology! There is not much homework at all. You do have to study the lecture material and the test are a bit tough (10 q's @ short answeressay) but you always have to opportunity to earn extra credit for the tests. He is amazing and really knows his stuff. Take his class!

Phenomenal. Took him over the summer M-Th 6-11 pm for 5 weeks. It's not an easy class but he explains the material so well its easy to understand. The podcasts really help and there are PowerPoint slides. If you don't try, you will fail. You do have to pay attention but he is always there if you need him to come in early just so you can study.

Summer physical geology as needed for a science credit. 5 weeks 4 nights a week 6-10:50 typically 9:15. What to say about Mr. Sadler, if I could have a fraction of this man's passion for minerals I'd be set. This dude bleeds basalt. Difficult course but he went over and beyond to teach and instill the information. Be ready to study :)

This man is the reason I am a geology major, I still go visit him to get a spark of inspiration! When you work and participate, you will have so much fun in his class. This isn't a "dumb rock class for non-science majors" so good luck with that ignorant mindset. Wish he could teach ALL of my classes, he can answer almost any science question! Woo!

Professor Sadler is extremely passionate about Geology and it comes across in his lectures and labs. Enjoyed taking his class, has awesome stories of him traveling the world (amazing pictures included in lecture power point presentations). Makes geology fun!

Amazing! So helpful! I took him last semester, fall 2014 online and he was always there to help. There is a lot of material, but plenty of time to do your work. I would HIGHLY recommend any of his classes.

Cannot say enough good things about this man. I took Environmental Science with Sadler (which transferred to Texas State as my a core science, along with Zoology) and loved everything I learned in that course, so much that it opened my eyes to my major, Urban & Regional Planning. Mr. Sadler is a class act, San Jac need more professors like him!!!!!

Sadler is GREAT and so helpful! He responds to emails within an hour, usually less. Each week you can expect one quiz, and one lab. Tests are about once every 6 weeks. You can take quizzes twice and they are not timed! I wish he taught another online class, I'd take him in a heartbeat!

I took his Env Science class, and he was amazing. His lectures are funny and quirky, with interesting stories and pictures. He also cares about his students, and loves Geology! He's a great teacher and will help you if you need it. Patient, kind, and funny, while also being informative. Not too much homework! Pay attention and you'll be GOLD

Love Professor Sadler! He's possibly the best professor I could take online. He responds to his emails quickly and posts on blackboard at the beginning of each wk of what is expected to turn in, typically a test each wk (5 questions)+ labs. He's also very passionate about the subject which made it more interesting to learn. Wish I could take again!

Highly recommend for online. Schedule is laid out well. All notes are on powerpoint, and there are some youtube videos, too. Quiz over each chapter doubles as attendance. 4 exams, comprehensive final; Extra Credit; Lab each week, and a group project throughout the semester that isn't too bad if you have good group members. I would take him again.

Absolute BEST professor I have ever had. Communication is an A+. GREAT response time. Makes learning fun. Really truly loves what he teaches. Easy grades: 15 chapters, 11 lecture quizzes consisting of 5 questions, 4 lecture exams and 2 lab exams. EASY labs. Spent maybe 30 min - 1 hour a week on this class. Would def take again.

This was my first science class outside of doing A&P I and II, which was the toughest thing I ever did. I took this class for another science requirement for teaching. I will say while the information given by the Professor was solid and helpful, there is a lot of work needed for this course. Considering its a non-science major class.

Took this class online along with taking a biology class at the same time. This class requires a lot of effort but if you put the time and work in you will make a good grade. He was responds to his email so fast it is insane. Overall he is a good teacher and if you have to take a science and an online class i recommend this one.

Professor Sadler is the most AMAZING professor I've EVER had! He hold attention flawlessly unlike most professors, makes online lectures, and even has awesome videos and pics of him travelling the world - these aren't google pics! You have to study for this class, it isn't a silly "rock class" so focus up! Rocks have never been so interesting!

He was very organized. He would have a lab assignment and quiz each week(5 questions). I didn't use the book, just took notes. He has 4 power points each week. One group assignment. There was 4 exams. He gives extra credit on the exams. His Youtube videos are pretty cool. He also has a podcast.

Easy A or B if your good at memorizing. Labs,exams and group projects are easy if you enjoy GEO. FYI: the exams come from understanding the lecture not just knowing the info. You get 5 extra credit foe each task. im an accounting major and got a B-. Lots of things to do but not that demanding. And yes, 3 min prez in the end of the class for 100 EX.

Mr. Sadler is a fantastic teacher he is full of enthusiasm and character he makes this course extremely easy, but that doesnt mean the course load isnt fairly challenging you just have to have a schedule and he is always helpful if you take this online!

Mr. Sadler is amazing! If all of my professors were like this I would never skip class. He makes everything interesting and always reminds you when everything is due so failing this class would be difficult unless you dont turn anything in.

I enjoyed taking Geology online! Mr. Sadler, always repled to all of my emails, no matter how many times I would email him. Homeworks, quizes, and extra credits before any exams, were pretty easy, so, if you do your job in this course, you will pass this course. I'd definitely take him again, HE'S THE BEST!

If every professor was like Mr. Sadler, I would actually feel like I am getting my moneys worth from tuition. He is simply the best. I HAVE NO INTEREST IN ROCKS, OR MINERALS OR ANY OF THAT, but I actually became somewhat interested in geology. He puts so much effort into his material, so if you can, take him. You won't regret it.

This professor is by far one of the best I have ever taken. His lectures are detailed, clear and he makes coming to class at night enjoyable. You have to show up and pay attention because its all about memorization and understanding the lecture. So far I have an A and I dont have any prior geology background. Book is not needed, save your money!

Take him! Hes a clear example of what an educator should be. You need to show up & pay attention but he puts so much effort into what he does and cares about his students, its hard NOT to pass. Hes really very interesting and hes traveled everywhere (literally) so he knows his stuff. He also does study pow wows for whoever said otherwise -.-

He is what you want all teachers to be. He is very interested in his students and helping them pass by being available to answer questions, and even has a study session before tests. I have never looked forward to spending my nights in class as I have this semester. I highly recommend that you take his classes.

I took this professor twice! Geo 1301 and Geo 1303. He is a great professor, always ready to answer questions and makes sure you understand the material. Lectures can be long and there's a lot of note taking but he makes them interesting and shoes lots of pictures. I really recommend him!

He is awesome and so passionate about geology, which really makes the class so much more interesting! He gives you everything you need to study; like a test outline, study powerpoints, a youtube channel with great videos. I never was interested in rocks and now I catch myself appreciating random rocks I come across. I hope he's doing well right now

I took Professor Sadler for honors geology. I actually learned a lot about minerals, rocks, etc. He is a nice professor. I would recommend him and his class. He wants his students to learn. There are lecture tests and lab tests along with a project. Pay attention, read your notes and you will do fine. It is interesting if you make it.

If you need another science class definitely take geology online with Professor Sadler. If you print out or save the lecture power points that he uploads you'll make an A on all of the quizzes and exams. My only complaint about his class was the group project at the end of the semester. I hate group projects in an online class.

Professor Sadler was great! He responds to emails quickly. His lectures are all PowerPoint and podcast based; make sure you take notes or save the pps! Once he takes the Powerpoints offline, he won't turn them on again. This class is super easy as long as you read over the notes and listen to podcasts.

I LOVED Professor Sadler! He was super awesome, I took both of his GEOL classes in back to back semesters, both online. He is a super nice professor and super understanding. His lecture notes are super clear as well as for labs.

He gives really good lectures and he tries his hardest to make rocks interesting. He gives 7 exams, 3 lab 4 lecture. He offers "study powwows" before every exam to help you prepare which help a lot! You must attend class otherwise you wont succeed. He doesnt assign homework or anything to complete outside of class. Take him if you can!

Greatest teacher ever! I took a night class and he made it interesting and fun and even brought us food. I am in high school, and this is the first night class i took but he always let us go early. Also, gneiss is a rock in one of the chapters, he will use this joke.

Took the honors course. Great prof. Honestly, my lab partner hardly knows what's going on, late, absent, misses test day, and he will sit with her and quiz her over what she needs to know. Seemingly infinite patience. He TRULY cares if you succeed in his class. I have learned so much this semester.

Easy A. He has a YouTube channel and some of the questions on exams are pulled from there so that was different. But other than that, take him.

He is so fun and gives the rocks personality, although the class is writing and lecture heavy it super easy if you just study and he gives extra points out a lot. super responsive through email and super welcoming when you find him in his office. Definitely cares for his students success.

I have only two complaints about this wonderful professor. Unfortunately, he doesn't teach other types of Geology online, and with him, you can only do quizzes and tests on Fridays. Other than that, he is amazing. He responds to emails quickly, and is understanding when it comes to deadlines and personal matters. Take him, you won't regret it!

Prof. Sadler is one of the best professors at SJC! I loved his class. He is incredibly understanding, very helpful, and will do his best to support you. He is one of the professors that you can tell loves his job and his subject area. His lectures can be long but he makes them somewhat entertaining. If you want a fun yet informative class take him!

EASIEST CLASS EVER! I recommend taking his class I promise you won't regret. You have a 5 question quiz every friday about his lecture and all you have to do is take notes from his slides and the notes are very understanding! His labs are super easy and his class was easy and this is coming from someone who has a difficult time with science.

Easiest class ever! There's a 5 question quiz every Friday. You can only do them and the exams on Fridays. The final is 100 questions based on his lectures. His labs are super easy, just like his class. My only complaint is that he doesn't teach any other class online. Very understanding when it comes to personal matters and very caring.

For my class, we were only graded on exams. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you study and he makes it really easy. The class is super engaging and he's a fun guy as well. As long as you take notes, study, it's a really easy class. I would definitely take his class again!

Very easy.

His lectures are about 30-40mins long abit boring depending on the person but take notes and pay attention. For the exams in lecture do active recall its the best method to get 80s and above. He provides exam study guides and the answers but only like 3 days before the exam so when it opens take advantage of it. Good luck.
