Mr. Wong taught the fundementals of geometry well. the tests were mainly based from the examples in the text, so you cant go wrong. he didnt assign homework, and the quizes made excellent study guides since they were similar to the tests. he doesnt ask if everyone understood what hes explaining but the class correlates well with his syllabus timing

Great teacher, very organized. I had an older addition of the book and it worked just fine since he doesnt assign hw. between the lectures and the quizzes, you learn pretty much everything you need to for this class and the next. I'd say Professor Wong is up there with Gonzales as SCCs best math teachers.

He is wonderful! It's not that its "easy" he just prepares you so well, you can't fail. All tests are based on the take home quizes, if you do those, your fine. He is GREAT! I hate math, but not while he is teaching it!

I took his class over summer session. He is a great teacher. No homework assignments, which makes it easier. However, there are some quizes that you take home. One more helpful hint. If you a good listener and you take good notes of his lecture, then you would not need to buy a book, because his lectures with examples are directly from the book.

I LOVE THIS MAN. It was my third time taking Algebra II and not only did I pass it, I received an "A." That I had a tutor... cough, two tutors, should be noted. This teacher is extremely intelligent, he has come up with new and easier ways to solve problems. He goes over the whole book though so he ends up being in a rush. He's a good teacher, teaches you things that you would not learn from any other teacher (he calls it "the Wong way)

This is the best teacher I have ever had, he is fun and makes math fun also. He explains in a way that anyone can understand, as long as you stay in the class the whole class period; if you apply a little effort you can do well. Im one of those people who have always had to work really hard for my grades. He is so great! I wish he was teaching math 120 next semester! I have never been able to understand math before him. He offers extra credit. On 2 hr classes, he takes a 10 min. break so you have the option to leave. If you hate math, take him. He's fun and makes it easy

I like how he teaches. He gives you a whole new perspective on areas of math you thought you knew well before entering his class. He also aides you very well before every test and quiz he gives. Plus he never assigns homework for the instructional days.

To be honest, I used to be really bad at math until I took Mr. Wong's class. I was never a math person. He is the BEST of the BEST!!! I got an A!!!! It is a miracle, a christmas miracle. He is so clear in his lectures and has his own ways, easier ways of explaining the material. If I got an A so will you!!

He is a great math teacher. He explains each concept clearly & works the examples step by step from book. I am not a math person but got a lot of help from the lab. There is no homework but U are responsible 4 doing the work on your own. He has a great sense of humor, overall brilliant! However, he makes U feel kinda dumb if U ask him a question.

good teacher explains how to to do problems step by step out of the entire book (something i've never seen before) but pretty clear and easy to understand. dont ask him questions on why something is because he'll tell you "it just does" very unclear on why something is but over all funny and a great educator very easy class No Homework!

Wong is an amazing teacher with many years of experience under his belt. He gives you every chance to pass and when he offers extra credit, DO IT! IT IS EASY AND BAILS YOU OUT! At first, I was turned off by excessive use of textbook during class, but Mr. Wong interjects explanations and subject matter related anecdotes to engage students in the material. I appreciate commitment to covering entire text. Tests are fair, and I love Mr. Wong's philosophy that homework is at individual students' discretion, not asssigned.

Mr. Wong is an excellent instructor. He lectures using analogies that are relatable and entertaining and teaches effective, alternate methods. It's hard to have a good time in a 1.5 hour math class, but I think he makes it as entertaining as possible. He is also extremely accommodating. He stayed 45 minutes extra for some to finish their final. A+!

Mr. Wong is a fun and energetic teacher, and he'll work with you, you just gotta ask. THe only thing i didn't like was that he used the book the entire time. Personally i like teachers to create their own problems and get the class a little more involved, but at the same time it was the summer. So it was kinda tough. But he's cool overall

This is a real professor. He cares that everyone understands the material and makes math very easy to understand. He introduces you into ?Wong logic? which means that he takes very complex math subjects and simplifies them to where anyone can understand.

If you have to take Math 100 take it with Malcom Wong. He has great techniques on helping you understand the material!!!

Prof Wong is absolutely fantastic! It's virtually impossible to do poorly in this class, given that Prof Wong teaches brilliantly, while allowing the student every means to do well. He allows the use of calculators, and drops your lowest test. A stellar prof!

Ok,so I took Mr. Wong for 2 semesters; spring math 100, summer 120. I took him not checking him out on this. Each chapter test, a problem is worth 4pts if right, 3pts if almost right, 2pts if wrong answer but work is shown, 1pt if wrong answer and no work was shown, & 0pts if left blank. Only the mid-term, final & the take home quizzes are multiple choice. Go to class so you can learn of an easier way & you won't have to do the textbook practices alone.

Malcom Wong is a Fabolous professor! He always has a great attitude, makes funny jokes and he really cares about his students! I took Algebra 120 with him this summer, and I had limited time for studying and I passed with a B. And I'm not good at math at all, but because how professor Wong grades your test he really gives you a fighting chance. He is a great teacher.

Prof Wong was a good teacher. Took him this summer. Math during summer is hard, but he made it possible to pass. He offered a bunch of extra credit for random things. Textbook wasn't mandatory, but it was helpful. No hmwk, multiple choice midterm and final. I recommend him.

I had Prof. Wong Spring2011, & my final is tomorrow & I feel so prepared for it. I love this class he's funny & a really good teacher. You won't even feel embarrassed to ask questions because no matter what it is, he will re-explain very well. He even taught me where math will be used in the real world, so you learn math & interesting facts. :D

He's very thorough in his lectures. NO HOMEWORK! Just take the notes he teaches in class and attend every session and you should be fine. There's a quiz (take home) and test every 2 weeks so be prepared. Math is my worst subject, but with Professor Wong's help I was able to succeed. Take his class if you're a slow learner in math. I'm so happy I took his class. I suck at math but his teaching methods like using fun stories and shortcuts were really helpful in getting to understand whats happening in the lesson. The teacher provided VERY USEFUL tips and tricks to help shorten the steps of solving a problem. He had funny jokes and actually went through all the examples in the book. I highly recommend him.

Wong Logic is very useful in this class, and the "Sing along with Wong". This class is an easy A if you know your math. He reminded me of Bruce Lee in a way. "Be like water, my friend".

Out of all the math teachers that I have taken in college I would have to say he was the best. His "wong logics" were very helpful, also his shortcuts that he provided for the math problems. Great Professor! You will enjoy going to his class. He goes through the entire book & every section and use class time very efficiently, down the very last minute. Tests are hard, but you will learn a lot. After hours available if you want him to review. Only thing is he makes you answer your own questions or makes you get it from other students.

I loved the fact that quizzes were take home and there was no homework. What I didn't like was how the last 4 CHs. (which were completely new to me) were rushed and how there were only CHs. 1-7 quizzes/tests, but not for 8-11. I recommend this professor, but if the only way you can get good practice is with HW, don't take him.

I liked his class the lectures are clear and his teaching methods is very effective. do well on the chapter test, quiz, and midterm then you won't need to worry much about the final. Prof. Wong is a pretty good math professor. Not sure if all MATH 120 classes are as fast-paced, but the second half of the class gets pretty intense. No assigned homework (TAKE NOTES), quizzes are study guides to tests, he also tells you what's going to be on the next test, approachable, drops one quiz and one test.

Great professor, sometimes feels a little unapproachable, but will work with you to help you pass a test. If you are stuck on a test you can give it back and retry on Monday with a better understanding of the material.

he gives out practice chp . tests 2 days before the actual chp. test. He would give u the answers and trade with the person next to u, give each other a score and record it on his attendee sheet. For exam and finals he tells u whats on it, up to u and study. Wong does not give out hw but u can always go back into chp and study. Loved his class.

He is good at explaining material, but moves very fast. The chapter he's currently lecturing on is always 2-3 chapters ahead of the test you're about to take which makes it easy to fall behind. The textbook and Khan academy were life savers. If you put in the work you can get a good grade.

Professor Wong is extremely funny. I don't know if I find him approachable or not. He looks a little frustrated when a person asks him a question sometimes, but the class is late so I don't blame him. Quizzes are take home, so take advantage of that. He drops your lowest test and quiz score! He's very lenient on grading your chapter tests.

He's an okay professor. He thinks he is hilarious. He laughs at his own dry jokes, which makes it the more funnier. But sometimes he has good jokes. No homework, only quizzes and tests. On the class day before any tests, if you stayed for the whole two and half hours lecture, he tells you exactly whats on his test. He also offers 5 extra credit pt.

Wong is RAD! He keeps the class interesting with joke and hilarious stories. He teaches extremely helpful short cut (Patel method, Wong logic and etc.). Don't skip class, he covers a lot every class. If you struggle staying interested in math or have failed Math 120 before Wong is the way to go, he'll help you as much as he can. GO THE WONG WAY!

His class is pretty simple he goes over the whole textbook all the examples so if you have to miss a day make sure you stay on top of the chapters at home. Professor Wong is a great example to follow for other educators out there. He makes you love Math and understand it in terms that other non math student major. He not only was able to do the whole book in six weeks but was able to give every lecture for every exercise which is amazing. He has a great sense of humor and caring.

Amazing professor. I took his class over the summer and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. He goes over everything! If you struggle in math he's the professor for you. Wong is a pretty awesome guy, he turns math into real world situations that make it easy to understand. His lectures use every single example from the book. Though, he does give us a different way to see the problem. The tests are VERY difficult so study hard. Oh and be prepared to be unsure what your grade is up until the midterm and final.

Super fun guy, super easy class. If you don't show up, the content can be difficult, since he goes very fast. There is no homework, and no outside work. The only downside is that my class was 2 and a half hours long, and it can get a little tedious/boring.

I haven't been in school for 3+ years and having this class to start off in the summer (and I HATE math) was an amazing experience. He does love his dad jokes and he's SO considerate. He likes class participation so speak up and interact. He even tells you what's on your midterm and final (not specifically but enough to know what to study for).

Professor Wongs lessons are very interesting, which makes me fall in love with maths. Professor Wong is a smart, tender and sympathetic teacher. Pink test paper makes the final exam more relaxing and enjoyable.

Professor Wong teaches math in a way that is easy to understand and as interesting as math can be. He makes quite a few "Dad Jokes", but better for a teacher to be animated than disinterested in his lessons. He's more than fair with the tests and as long as you pay attention and study a little you can get pretty good grade.

Took him for 120. Very clear in his lectures and explaining useful techniques to finding answers. I specifically dislike Math, but pulled off an A all thanks for coming to every lecture to see how he solves problems versus the textbook (he's easier to understand), & doing practice problems on my own. He didn't assign hw. "Dad jokes" are solid!

Mr. Wong is a really straightforward teacher. You have the advantage of no homework, and everything is based on the quizzes, test and midterm/finals. He teaches the examples out of the book if you're having trouble; I would strongly recommend not skipping too many of his lectures. Took him for night class which is perfect as a full time worker.

Professor Wong is a very good instructor. He brings the text to life, by telling relevant stories that coincide with problem solving. He also has several different techniques that makes it easier to remember formulas and complete problems. I would recommend everyone take his course if they want to learn in an enjoyable environment.

Professor Wong is awesome! He actually followed the syllabus almost perfectly, and he is very accessible outside of class if you email him. Also, he doesnt test or quiz you on anything he hasnt covered in in-class lectures, so be prepared with a lot of different-colored pens to take notes. It would help to have a TI84 calculator, too.

Wong is a great Prof for Math 120. His grading criteria is very clear; we have 7 chapter tests, 7 chapter quizzes, a mid term and a final. No homework (it is optional as he stresses that you know what you need to work on therefore he holds us accountable). Does not throw curve balls, very straight forward. Humorous personality. Overall not hard!

Professor Wong is awesome. Completes the book section by section. Good feedback. Terrible cartoons to start class but theyre in good taste. Teaches clearly and works out problems multiple ways to make sure everyone understands. Fair grader and consistent. Couldnt ask for a better experience.

He is the king of corny jokes, but is an amazing teacher. He offers a free online version of the book. He also teaches the entire book. I rented the book because I personally liked having the hard copy. I strongly recommend taking him. Not only does he show you the author's way of solving the problems. He also shows you the "Wong Way"

Wong is a great teacher, he teaches every examples from the textbook. His teaching pace is a little fast but overall he's great. He'll go over any thing that you do not understand. His take home quizzes are very similar to his chapter tests so study the quizzes. He provide his own scantron to the student so no need to bring your own.

Professor Wong is one of the best math professors at Sac City! He is very thorough when he explains how you solve each problem. He tells you the book's way of finding the answer and his own method, which is often a lot simpler. If you study for the tests then you should pass with an A or B. Always show up for the lectures, they're worth it!

Professor Wong is hands down the best Math professor I've had. I've struggled with math a lot and he makes it very easy and clear to understand. He's lectures are great and he's a really funny guy. I took his class during the summer and I would recommend him to anyone. DONT BUY THE BOOK, he has an electronic version that he give to his student.

Professor Wong was awesome in my book! We all know how math is, it takes a lot of practice and work to get the job done, but Wong had a lot of tips/tricks to teach to that class that were useful. Full of jokes, and cares about his students. Stays after class to help,very knowledgeable! He shared an electronic version of the book, which was a perk!

Prof. Wong is amazing! This summer course was very fast pace, but with his excellent teaching skills he had made it much easier. I value the way he present his lectures. Also, he cares to stay after class if students have any questions on the tests/quizzes. There are so much more wonderful things to say about him. I encourage students to take him:)

Mr. Wong is great. I was in his Math 120 night-class during the summer of 2018. What made this a good experience for me? It was coming back to Algebra as an adult with the high school teacher I never had (Mr. Wong). Go to class every day, don't skip, absorb the stories as they are lessons for you through association, and write down everything.

As a student who has attempted and failed MATH 120 on multiple occasions, I cannot recommend Professor Wong enough as an instructor. The course material is well-paced, and is directly out of the textbook. He's extremely patient and understanding, and if you are struggling with the content as a student, just reach out to him for help.

I took professor Wong over the summer 2018 at first I was skeptical in taking a Math class over Summer. However Mr. Wong lectures were very clear and he provided many examples. He also stayed after class for extra help. He is very Clear of his expectations and easy going.

Wong is upbeat, wonderful, knows math like the back of his hand. Extremely there for you! Hes funny and entertaining. Math is not boring with Malcolm. And we get to use our calculator in class!

Prof. Wong is an amazing professor . I took his math 120 class over summer and he is by far my favorite professor . He cracks a few jokes here and there which kept the class entertained . I really enjoyed this class , I never been good at math and was able to end his class with an A ! I would definitely take him again !

Mr. Wong did a great job preparing everyone for every test and for the next course. he didnt skip any chapters/units in the class and kept the mood light. he always answered questions happily and kept all of the notes saved so if you missed a class you could get them. just a great professor over all.

Absolutely a joy going to class. He is hilarious. I laugh when he laughs at his own jokes. Genuinely cares about students doing well. Has many of his own shortcuts that he wants to pass on-dont miss class. No homework graded; treats us like adults who can gauge for ourselves how much practice we need. My 2nd time taking STAT 300. He was by far a better professor than my previous class. Using the WileyPlus had some issues but he was happy help. As long as you keep track of hwk & keep track of your grade along the way, you'll do fine! Test Qs are similar to hwk so take notes! He also read the final & midterm day before! Amazing & Beneficial

he is very funny and approachable i passed with a B there are 9 chapter tests and a cumulative final he does not give a lot of homework he actually cares about you and is happy to answer any questions u have i do recommend taking a support class if you have never tooken statistics before

stats 300/110 was amazing! Professor Wong is a Professor that cares about his students academic Success! He will stop class to answer students questions & review for clear understanding. He has an extreme Passion for his Profession. I have been so inspired by his teaching style that I will continue to build on what I learned.

If you need more help you can see him anytime he is available and he will help. He basically reads the online textbook to you and will give some examples. He tells jokes that can be pretty funny. The tests and final are done on the computer. I was scared to take STATS because have heard terrible things but he made it easy.

Malcolm Wong is an awesome professor. He went way beyond what is expected, ie he gives opportunity to make up exams and homework. I believe he does this because he cares about you learning the information. He is a smart, humble and funny but not goofy. I wish he taught Chem 305. I highly recommend him

I've taken Mr. Wong for 3 math classes now and he is truly a great teacher! He explains extremely well and he really wants his class to pass. I've been so used to "surprises" on exams from other teachers but Mr. Wong will tell you the general questions that will be on the exam.

Stats 300 is no joke, regardless of who you take. You have to do Hw in order to understand what is going on. With that said I LOVED professor Wong. He is very straightforward, and very approachable. Prof Wong is the BEST teacher at SCC! Trust me If you have a hard time with Math TAKE Prof. Wong! He goes by the book and doesn't confuse you with unnecessary knowledge. He WANTS you to PASS! Professor Wong cares for teaching with excellence, he gives lectures (recorded) where he will explain math problems the way they are written in the textbook and also his way of solving them, which I think added more clarity. He will let you retake exams and responds very fast. Also, he wears cool ties (from movies).

I took his Trigonometry Class in Fall 2020. He is a great professor and caring. He gives opportunity for students to improve the scores and he hold office hour to support us. He is friendly and helpful professor I have ever had. He understands students needs and difficulties.

I would take Prof Wong again he is a great teacher. He held a class before the lecture that was helpful and answered all my questions. Always replied back to my emails and is very helpful so make sure to make a list of questions so that you are prepared. Overall, he is nice, generous, and awesome teacher.

Professor Wong was one of the best math professors I have ever had. He was able to explain how to do problems in multiple ways, which really helped me grasp the material. He was excellent at responding to emails, and would assist outside of class hours to help. I loved having him as a professor and Im sure others will find value in his teaching.

At the beginning of the semester I was disappointed bc he said we will be doing all 13 chapters from the textbook when other professors do less. He also went over the scheduled lecture time for an extra hour & on lectures he just reads the textbook most of the time. Later on he changed his plan and everything worked out, and provided hw extensions.

This is one of the best professors I've had during my time at community college. He really cares about his students and wants you to pass. I've always been someone who struggles with math, but he wants to help you if you're confused. He stays after every lecture for those who have questions. It's rare to have a professor who genuinely cares.

We have lectures twice a week where attendance is optional. You will be using wileyplus as the textbook which you do have to pay for (nothing is on canvas). In the textbook is the weekly homework. He gives students the option in rare cases to take the final as their final letter grade. The only two tests during the course are the midterm and final.

I took Math 340 which is Calculus for Economics with Professor Wong. He is a very nice and caring person. He does his best to make students succeed. The best part of his class is the tests. All the tests are online with no timing and multiple attempts allowed.

Professor Wong is the GOAT professor. Professor Wong's lectures are long, but he uses this time to thoroughly review each chapter so students actually understand the content. He is easy to reach by email and he allows retakes for tests. I absolutely love this guy and his class.

Prof Wong is awesome! I took Trig online, so it was done through MyMathLab which is a bit pricy. Wong allows you to retake tests and exams and will do reasonable extensions on homework. His lectures involve him going through the textbook with you, but I found it to be sufficient in preparing for homework and tests.

This class was enjoyable and professor Wong was always available for any questions I had. He is truly a professor that you can tell has a passion for teaching. I could understand the way he taught and it felt empowering. great class!

Honestly, this was a great class and I enjoyed it. As long as you keep up with homework and turn everything in you should get a good grade. Also, zoom attendance is not mandatory but if your confused about a certain chapter pop into Zoom he is very helpful. It was a nicely paced class. Overall, great Professor if you get the chance, take his class!

I love Wong! I took his summer trig for calc class & even though the content is very tightly packed, just follow the lectures then all you have to do is hw, which isn't a lot (only 10% of grade but helps cement material). Lectures are reading the text w/his own (better) Wong Ways to do things. Seems to really like being a math prof, funny and kind.

Professor Wong, his lecture is based off on the Mathematics Trigonometry Books. So it might be kinda difficult to understand if you pay attention and do the homework. The homework on pearson helps you understand "how to do the problem" so Homework is a mandatory. The Test are the extremely difficult but the Exam are alot lighter.

I must say I LOVE PROF. WONG!! He is the G.O.A.T. Pricey online textbook but worth it. The only professor who ever allowed exam or assignment retakes to improve your grade. Easy grader and willing to help you understand any material you are confused about. If you retake all your exams and assignments to improve your scores, an A+ is guaranteed!

Professor Wong was the reason I grew to love and have a much better understanding in Alg./math. He does care and prepared me for upper level classes like calculus (I) & (II) where Algebra is covered frequently. He is very approachable and is always willing to help students. Be prepare to read and study. Math is doable just have to practice a lot.

Professor Wong is a good statistics teacher, he has a different approach to teaching stats. The professor allows you to retake any assignments during the whole semester. The app we use was kind of confusing while using the applets, but the professor would help if you ask. The professor is reachable through email which helped, thanks professor.

Great professor! Attendance wasn't mandatory(i took it online) and he would record the meeting so you could go back and watch them. There was a good amount of hw but not crazy, just do it. There would be quizzes after each chapter and if you weren't satisfied with the grade all you had to do was email him and he gladly opened it back up for you.
