Nice person, but knows too much to teach a basic course

i have not a clue what she talks about in class.. if i hear the word looping one more time i think i will lose my mind.. midterm was brutal and too long.. notes suck and do not help at all.. with a lab, prelab and assignment every week
I'm sure she has good intentions but this lady is impossible to understand! Very friendly and tries to be helpfull, but I don't ever want to do a course with her again. Also, her exam was BRUTAL

Very poor teaching quality!
Expects you to understand material, not merely memorize. Very good teacher, nice and helpful.
Enthusiastic and very reasonable. Knows a lot, speaks too fast,can teach well.
Sometimes is not organized with her course materials. Tends to be late starting classes. Very helpful when you go see her outside of classes. Knows what she's talking about but noticably uncomfortable teaching.
hard course,..at least she tries,... for anyone whos takes the course, when she says "cArrrrr- Aaaaact- eaaaarrrs",... she means characters.
Really good teacher, clear in class, patient and very very helpful outside. You'll learn a lot from this prof if you want to.

She is the worst prof of all time. Doesn't know how to teach, doesn't give good notes, and not to mention you can't understand a word she's saying. You basicaly have to teach yourself the course.
The material covered for the course is practical for Computer usage and should not be difficult. She makes the material harder then is needs to be. Seems like she is trying to prove something! She is also very hard to understand and gives poor notes. This course is not recommend for an easy elective

My worst teacher to date, I no longer understand some things that I used to because of her! Very boring and hard to understand.
Run screaming from this course. Prof tries superhard, but she's absolutely incoherent. Everyone plans out their agenda during class. Way too much work to do for something so trivial.
Prof really will help if you ask. Gets a lot of flack from students who expect a veg class, then find out they have to work and are pissed off and blame her. If you don't understand, ask for help! And if you actually pay attention you CAN understand what she's saying, even with the accent!
She can tell you how to make a super computer but can't work the overhead projector
Very nice prof. Understanding about assignment deadlines, as long as you talk to her about it. Will help if you don't understand material. A little strange, but aren't we all.

This prof knows really well the subject she is teaching. Good notes, good lectures. Very nice and always available to help (even at dinner time). I am trully recommending this prof.

The worst prof i had everhad at MUN. This course has the workload of two courses. Labs are brutal and she doesn't prepare you for them AT all..I had to get a tutor just to get a 50% in the course...STAY AWAY!!
very hard to follow in lectures and VERY boring. English not fluent enough to grasp all of what she is saying. Hacks up a lung every 3 or 4 minutes and may know how a computer functions, but the lady doesn't know how to turn one on. She was baffled for 20 mins, and all she had to do was push power
Nice person and a good teacher, but demanding. Can stimulate learning. Lectures are clear, material well presented, you need to be there though.
Hard to understand, has a complete disregard for the progress of her students, and is quite rude.
Mrs. Zuberek deals teaches a huge amount of students. Don't expect special attention. She Loves to abide by the rules...stringently. Do the work. She marks more than fair. And when it really counts, she will help you a great deal if you talk to her personally. She does want to see you succeed.
Does not discuss in class problems given for the labs but is always willing to help if you approach her; can explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. I would take another class with this prof.
Could there actually be a worse prof than her?? NO!! She's all over the place, does not prepare you at all for the labs (that take forever, mainly b/c you are waiting to get help from the assistants on what you are suppose to actually do), and she is really rude sometimes. If oyu have to take this course, do not get Zuberek!!
She has very good intentions. She wants to see her students do well and tries her best. However, the course isn't very clear or organized. Tests and assignments are fair and grading is easy.
This prof made Computer Science a nightmare to me...really she did.....now I do hate Computer Science....I think the problem is that she needs to know how to conduct the information to the students' minds.....God helps everyone is taking any course with her....HARD LUCK GUYS
worst prof ever. i understood the material before i took the course and im worse off than when i started! she tried to help me in the lab and actually broke my program. her assignements have links that dont work. it took her a week to email me back once and SHES A CS PROF! AAH! her english is TERRIBLE and her explanations are incoherent. avoid her!

Well it's February of this semester, and I have maybe understood 25% of what this woman has said. I can't see her being very helpful, I would absolutely avoid her.
Fortran was hard enough without having to have a teacher who cannot speak English well enough to be teaching at an english speaking university. I have no doubt that she is frighteningly intelligent, but maybe an advanced English as a second language course may be a good idea.
she means well.... but you can't understand a THING she says, which makes the course a million times harder than it already is. if you have to get her, try to find someone who did the course before and get their tests, labs, etc... she repeats a lot

I'm not one for blaming the prof, but it's all her fault! Thankfully I managed to pass, but if I had my time back I definately would have taken the course with another prof. Our final exam was almost solely based on our final assignment, and we didn't even get it back in time to study it. So if you are currently registered in her slot, ABORT!!!!!
Zuberek is a nice lady, and seems to care about her students, however she is a horrible teacher. For a computer science prof she seems to have a problem understanding the basic concepts of microsoft office programs. Very very onorganized and her class has no focus. The material isn't that hard, she just has a knack for making it harder. Bad prof.
Hate is a strong word to use to describe somebody. Ok, it applies here. I did this exact course at college 2 yrs ago and had a great mark. I transferred to the mun, but it wasn't accepted. So i am taking it now. She makes it seem so hard and i'm totally confused! I seriously can't even remember what i did in the first place! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!
Absolutely the worst prof I have ever had. Do not take any course with her. If you can get through the accent, teaching is incoherant and useless, no preperation for tests or labs, the only way I pass this course is because I have some previous labs to study. The assignments are not even things we do in the course, makes no sense!
nice lady but cant teach. lectures based around the labs.she shows up late and goes over the time, so expect to be late for your next class across campus or walk out!labs/tests are easy if you have someone elses from previous semester because they are identical.I am teaching myself this course along with the lab instructors who teach better than he
I can honestly say I got nothing out of going to the classes she was impossible to understand and did not even give proper notes. I only really learned anything from the labs........if you are in her class leave now!
Absolutely the worst prof I have ever had. Can hardly understand a word she says, & when you can her sentences don't even make sense. Class is not mandatory for sure. Go to the labs and make sure you know how to do the prelab before your quiz. Know these for midterm and final. Do not get her if at ALL possible. Grades easy on the hard exams though.
Words cannot describe what a terrible instructor this lady was - so unclear. Friendly but has no sweet clue what's on the go. Be forewarned, you can get caught sharing assignments - she cuts whatever mark you had in half as punishment. Not much can prepare you for the multiple choice on the final - not even a super expensive tutor...
There's useless, and then there's M. Zuberek... She is in a total class of her own. For someone teaching a computer science course, she can not even use a computer (although she's not the only one). Her english is sub-subpar, and cannot answer anyones questions clearly or even correctly.
The 411: Zuberic has a very thick accent = incomprehensible + the course material is hard and work load heavy. This combination makes for a very challenging course. Overall, she is a very nice person, experienced and grades decent but instruction is poor & very behind the times: your best bet is copying notes from another slot instructor's webpage.
Zuberek! Oh, how she makes my day complete! She is a little hard to understand sometimes, but for this course she knows the material very well. She is ALWAYS happy and smiling, and as of now I have enjoyed the course. People simply do not realize that they have to do some work on their own in courses, so they take it out on the prof. <3 Zuberek
Didn't get much out of class time. Very hard to understand her accent. I got more from the Lab Assistants than I did from class.
TERRIBLE PROF! She should have retired long ago. She looks nice on the surface (always happy and smiling) but don't let her cover fool you. She doesn't give clear instructions for what she wants, she gives no feedback, she talks like yoda and you can hardly understand her. And the way she teaches is obscene, she hardly uses the computer to teach.
Don't bother going to class. Go to labs, and help centre often. I did and got a 70.
Avoid this professor if possible. If not, you will soon regret your decision.
avoid avoid avoid! hard to understand, strange teaching methods, and midterm is brutal. You will get the most out of the labs for this course, especially if they are taught by someone else. Going to her classes is definetely not essential.
She's a very friendly prof and is approachable. Willing to help out in assignments but lectures were a little bored. Mid term and final were OK as all materials tested are what she had taught in class.
Impossible to understand anything she is saying but she is so sweet and really cares about how the students do. GO TO THE LABS! i used all the lab time and found it really helpful and i passed this course with flying colors.
Besides for her poor english, she's a great prof! Very nice, helpful, and wants you to succeed. Attend the labs and understand them and you'll be fine. Assignments and exams are all very fair.
Professor Zuberek is awful. While she is nice during lectures, she is a horrible prof and her lack of english makes it hard to understand her. Praise the lord for the great lab instructors or I would have failed this course. Avoid professor Zuberek at all costs. It's a waste of time, for an already useless course for a business student.
