SHE VERY HARD AND MEAN. DONT TAKE HER I ADVICE YOU.
She is very strict and straightfoward the first week but then she lightens up as time goes on. I really enjoy her class.
She specifically mentioned in class that she did not like to teach and whenever anybody did anything in general that she did not like, she made sure she told us and it was said.
She is very quiet and unapproachable. She is not very helpful in terms of what she wants but offers a lot of help at the beginning of course to improve writing! She expects very upper level adulthood out of ordinary college students. Tread lightly here!!
She sits in the back and will not talk to the students. If students approach her we feel like she believes she is better than us. Mr. Britt will no help students with papers, essays, or work. I advise anyone not to take her.
she is good in the sense that she tells people to shut so that you can think while working but she acts like she has a stick up her rear. Whenever asked a question she cuts you off and repeats what she already said. she doesn't give you a chance to learn.

Britt seems very detatched from the needs of individuals acts as if she dislikes teaching very unapproachable.
Mrs.Britt is a fair teacher.Individual feedback is done through written comments on papers.Her approach is to cover the material then request a writing sample for discussion.Help is given when requested sincerely.Disrespect from students is not tolerated.

Horrible teacher!!! You cant talk to that woman, and her grading is very strict. If you make a few errors your grade is lowered drasticly. Seems like she doesnt like teaching...
her class is a complete waste of time. she takes too long doing pointless things. and don't take her unless you're as a.r. as she is. she will take 25 points off or fail you on a paper for the smallest mistakes. know her rigid guidelines or fail.

this tyrannical despot should not be teaching at all. she is petty,irrational, hypocritical arrogant and lazy.....and that's on her "good" days.you would have to be a glutton for punishment to enjoy her class.
If you are an emotional person take an extra dosage of przac...leave your feelings at the door...if you are going to teach you should at least enjoy it. Ms. B.... you fill in the rest, does not care about your will to pass the class enough said, good luck

She was the worst teacher i've ever had. Don't ever skip her class, cause once she notices that someone is missing, she automatically assigns homework or takes something for a grade just to teach that one person a lesson to never miss again.
If you like cut-and-dry, do your assignments and get on with life classes, Britt is for you. To students who can't write essays, don't take her class.

she's ok. not the best ever. but i didn't think she was as bad as everyone else thought. she does expect good essays and doesn't except crap from anyone.
On a positive note, she does keep the annoying talkative people quiet so that you can think and learn. Otherwise she is a bit rude, grades roughly, and has absolutely no personality.
Besides the fact that she has insulted several people in the class and has embarrassed me on four separate occasions with no cause, I guess she's okay. She grades roughly. I am here to learn how to write, not because I know how to.

Most papers were A's and B's although I write well. Her grading is very strict (I think she grades for the Regents). Het methods of teaching do not get across to students, and she is overall hateful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Her class was pretty tough. If you would like an easy "A" DO NOT take this course! She is judgemental and will hold a grudge. If you do take her follow her directions of be hated! Write good papers and you can get a "B".
Im happy im out of her class...if u want an A...dont take her. She chewed me out just bc i asked for some extra credit to help my grade out. Man...she is hard
Ms. Britt hated me very much! She tends to be very difficult to get along with. Everyday she would yell at me for stupid little things. She also does not like to repeat herself, so on a helpful level she rates very poorly in my book!
Mrs. Britt is definitely a strict teacher. However, those that complain are the ones that do not participate in class nor put much effort towards their papers.
Very unhelpful, and very difficult to have a student and teacher relationship or even conversation with!
She doesn't want to be helpful and is downright rude. She once walked right past me to speak to someone on the other side of the room while I was waiting for her. She knows she is in charge of her classroom and doesn't care to be nice.

She is the hardest teacher I ever had! She does not provide clear guidelines for what she expects and is the meanest person at grading. I don’t know of anyone that likes her. Strongly NOT recommended, even if you like working for your grade!

She teaches you. She is hard, difficult, but you gotta learn this stuff early in college. I disliked her class, but she likes poetry. Get in, sit down, shut up, and be analytical and pay attention to detail. If you go into the military you will be prep'd!
SHE IS HORRIBLE! She is rude, not helpful, not willing to help you, doesnt like it when you ask questions. I actually dropped the class after 3 weeks and now taking it with another professor. I 100% do not recommend her as a professor!

You wouldn't believe it, but by the time my class reached mid-term, we were down to 6 people! She's old, grouchy, strict, and heartless when it comes to grading (she'll give zeros). Drop-out IMMEDIATELY and put your effort to any other English professor.
You deserve to fail if you take this professor. Some people do very well, but most fail.
I dropped her after just one class. Acts as if every student is an inconvienence to her. Is a wonderful example of just how awful a teacher can be. Avoid her class like it is the black plague.

Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hide is a great literary classic. She exemplifies his character very much. In class she is Dr. Jekyll. Out of class, she is Ms. Hide. She is very nice outside of class. Take her.
Ms. Britt is an example of what college is supposed to be like. I thought she was strict and precise. She is very intelligent and witty. If you need someone to baby you(Sniffle Sniffle), do not take this class. I made an A in it and learned lots. She is great!

she's not that great of a teacher...it kind of feels like she doesn't like teaching. I love lit classes but HATED going to this one. Here's a tip, just make sure you say something in every class and you'll pass...she's BIG on class participation. Also, read...you'll need it for the tests.
she's not bad. although she has a bit of an attitude in class(i think at one point she actually gave me the hand), out of class she is pretty polite and quite understanding. the way she grades is pretty easy. i am not a strong writer at all, but i got As and Bs. but if you do take her, you HAVE to participate. make sure you say SOMETHING in class.
Ok, tru this is coll. i know this, but if u intimidate ur students and make then uncomfortable, they will not do well. she's rude, maybe menopause i dont know. im sure shes nice outta class. but a teacher is also there to be supportive and helpful, not condescending and rude. seriously though, avoid at all costs. good luck if u take the witch.

She is a real college teacher. Just participate in class, make sure you read your book, and youll do fine. She doesn't give you an attitude if you stay interested. I have learned a lot from her. I have really enjoyed her class.
I took her in the summer and she IS a very rude teacher! She will come in late all the time but if you are 5 mins late she counts you absent! She was never very helpful and always condesending!! TRY NOT to take her!!

This is not a teaching class it's a "weeding out" class. She WANTS you to drop so she will have less papers to grade. If you are one of the unfortunate souls to already be taking her I advise you to NOT put Mrs. Britt with ur MLA put PROFESSOR!! and don't even think about asking a question!!
She is a very insuborinate teacher.Like everyone else says her research paper is impossible. I took this class to just fill up so I can be considered a full time student. So if you have to take this class, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! When she speaks she acts as if you is scared to speak or look at the class, and if you ask her a question..........
HORRIBLE! The research paper is impossible. Only 2 people in my class even passed it. I know 9 people that failed the class. I fulfilled all the requirments to atleast pass the paper and I got and F. My class will be writing to the Dean about her.
Professor Britt is without a doubt the worst teacher I've ever come in contact with. She is always rude and really has no business teaching with that kind of attitude. All of her assignments are incredibly complicated and hardly anything pleases her. She always ran late and yet when I was late I received a letter from her. I 100% regret taking her!
ok she does sometimes have an attitude problem...but as long as you know how to write an essay you will pass the class...just make sure you keep up with all of the assignments and turn them in on time...as far as the research paper goes...just LISTEN to what she tells you and you'll do fine...i got a 92 on the paper!
To be quite honest, I did my essays the night before and I received As and Bs. She does have a bit of an attitude and makes you feel stupid to ask for help. And be sure to participate. That's one thing that hurt my grade. And do well on the practice Regent's test. She WILL give a grade according to what score she decides to give you.
wow...i think she hates anything that breathes...this teacher only cares aout her paycheck, not how her students do...this class is very difficult...i would not recommend her

Very easy class!!! Only have to write four essays and one research paper. Easy topics can be a bit challenging but I wrote each of mine in less than two hours and made an A on all. Easy grading scale. Research paper seems like a lot of work but is not too difficult the way she breaks it down. She may come off a bit rude at times however.
This teacher made me a nervous at first; she can be a little intimidating. She did a great job on explaining things--my papers--during class; after class is another story. Her notes helped a lot. I managed to pull a B out of her class, but throughout the semester I thought I was going to fail. Take good notes and you wont have too many problems.
She wasn't a bad teacher. As long as you read, she was fairly easy. Nothing difficult at all.

I asked her a question about the syllabus on the first day. She responded like I insulted her mother, so I walked right out of class and down to the registrar's office to drop. This woman hates life. If you take her class, she'll do everything in her power to try to make you hate yours too.

If u do take her, make sure u get your articles for the next class when she says if u don't wanna get an F, be on time cause if u're late she's not gonna repeat it twice. THis is a really strange teacher. SHe is not personable unless you show her effort. You HAVE to be at almost all of her classes. She's clear about some assignments...but not so much on others. We started with 25 students and now we have 12, difficult at times...but doesn't require alot of homework--mostly in-class assignments. I made an A!
Not a good teacher. The class isn't too difficult but with her pointless lectures, "fun" group activities, and monotone voice, you'll start hating the class from day 1. Seriously. Dislike does not describe my feelings toward this teacher.
everyone says she was a hard and rude teacher. She really is a good teacher and very clear on what she wants. alot of people fail or drop her class either because they are failing or cant stand her. I failed my first essay, the rest i pasted with an A. All i can say is just listen the first time to directions and you will pass her class easily.

She is pretty staight forward. She is very strict on attending class and will even give you notices on your absences. Her grading on papers is pretty lax. I wrote every one of the papers the morning it was due and got B's on every single one. The reasearch project is hard but if you follow all the steps it shouldnt be to bad. Overall a good teacher
Prof (NOT Ms) Britt is an interesting character. She is rude and very short with students.She is insulting when answering questions. I dont think she likes teaching so idk why she still is...but overall her grading isnt THAT bad...I still wouldnt take her again for any amount of money in the world. avoid this one...she's just mean.

I was very nervous going into this class after reading all the comments about her. But I remained open minded and realized that Professor Britt is a very firm leader, and although that may be a problem for some, staying focused and completing assignment is really the all that is required to do well in her class.
Very strict. Dosent have a very good sence of humor. Not to hard of a class. We wrote either 5 or 6 essays. She was pretty mean about little things though. But if you can deal with people you should take this class. Tough grader.

WORST TEACHER EVER!!! If you ask her a question, she tells you to look in the book for an answer. If you drink anything besides water she will flip her lid. She is very hard to please on your papers, and its hard to read her comments that she writes. I took this class again with a different teacher and got an A.
