She needs more training in pronouncing the English language correctly. A and P hard for the large terms being thrown around, this lady doesn't even know how to pronounce them!!! If you make your text book your life you will pass. Not very helpful with exams but sometimes gives credit for questions she screwed up royally on.
Don't take her.She don't know what she is doing and make us so confused. She is not ready to teach students. Hard to understand what she said because of poor english. She don't know how to use computer so it took 20 min to start lecture. Her test asked too much detail. You have study every details in the text.Don't waste your time and money.
She is not the best teacher, I have had. Her english might be tough to understand. Her test questions are also unclear. She makes you read the Clinical Applications and TEST YOU ON THEM
HORRIBLE TEACHER. she should have taking some classes for her strong accent. she is not helpful at all.she never gets back to you when you asked her something. her jokes are dry.she needs to go teaching school, her lacks of teaching is indescribable.PLEASE I WILL ADVISE YOU TO NOT TAKE HER. HER CODE IS 1591. read the book if you got her. bless you
her accent makes it difficult to understand her. maybe she does know the material but just doesn't know how on earth to explain it, either way she should really not be teaching b/c she is awful at it. she is unclear n very confusing. i had to teach myself most of the material. the only good thing is that her tests were not that difficult
dr.tawde is a good professor. she will explain things more than once, and she will test you on them. dont blame her b/c you're not studying and thats y u did bad. she uses powerpoints and covers every single thing on them. focus on powerpoints but also the book. if u put ur time and study u will do good. stop blaming her for ur own faults
showed up the 1st day, and immediately switched out of her class. She uses powerpoint like a bad student doing a bad presentation -- like a crutch. My suspicions were confirmed when she would ask a question, a student would answer, she would agree and it would be WRONG! Students who stayed on said regretted it. Accent is hard to decipher. Bad.
TAWDE SUCKS.....dont take her...i thought i would be able to just get threw with her teaching but it ended up stabbing me in the back...i wouldnt recommend her to any of the students majoring in nursing unless u wouldnt mind applying with a C+
HORRIBLE!Do not take her for A&P. Her accent makes it very hard 2 understand, she gets frustrated easily, especially if you ask too many questions she feels are not necessary and has many rude remarks. When she teaches she repeats herself CONSTANTLY so nothing gets done & ur still confused. Only her class take if u like to teach urself.
HER ACCENT IS VERY THICK AND HER TEACHING SKILLS ARE NOT UP TO PAR!! SHES A VERY NICE LADY BUT A HORRIBLE TEACHER
She is a very helpful teacher. She helps prepare for exams and answers questions by emails. You do need to prepare well. Her powerpoints are helpful but you still need to read the book. I had her for lab and lecture.I like her and am planning to take her for micro biology.
She is the best. She really helps prepare you for exams. Even tho her accent is thick you have to also put your part to study and read read read ! i had her for A&P lab and that class is very hard but she is the sweetest and most helpful prof. i have ever had.
shes not bad @ all. she uses power piont so it helps out a lil but u still need to read the book and study like crazy she gives out something kinda like review sheets for the test so it helps out alot and most of it is on the exam. she has a accent but u can still understand her shes a good professor.
Dr. Tawde is by the book. Her lectures are straight from the textbook using powerpoints to support. She really tries to help her students understand concepts and makes herself available to help anytime. She is quick to respond to emails as well if you can't make office hours. She's honest and really tries to help her students succeed.
Her accent is very thick. Her exams are not tricky but be very careful because she requires a lot of information when answering questions. She is late and unprepared for class. You have to work hard and give her answers straight from the book to pass exams
Dr.Tawde is very nice, very helpful and very approachable. The material is a lot but it is important to know inside and out for nursing. If you do not want a challenge you shouldn't even apply to the nursing program because the work for A&P is nothing compared to the nursing courses.
always late to class. Detests asking questions in class. Her exams don't corelate her lecture. If u don't have a bio backround transfer out. She is not a good teacher. She just repeats her powerpoints which are very disorganized.
This professor does her job. She will take the time to answer questions. She will not take the time to answer the same question 5 times. She teaches you, she does not hold your hand. A+P is not easy. A+P is very hard. You need to do your "homework" so to speak. She creates her own tests and they are relatively easy if you are a good test taker.
HONESTLY DO NOT TAKE HER IF U DONT HAVE TO..KNOWS HER MATERIAL BT SHE IWS NOT A VERY GOOD TEACHER AND HER TESTS ARE HARD....SHE DOESNT LIKE WHEN U ASK QUESTIONS. POOR LECTURE PROFESSOR
She was amazing for lab !She always goes out of her way to help her students understand the material. Very helpful as long as you ask questions and pay attention to her explaining models in class. Gives review sheet for each test with exactly what will be on exam.
Professor Tawde is a very sweet professor. She truly goes out of her way to make sure that her students are prepared for their exams. She prepares a study outline before every lab exam, and if you study the powerpoints for your lecture exam, you're good. You can see her enthusiasm during class, and you can learn a lot if you put your heart into it.
Great professor. The material is extensive but that goes along with the course. She goes out of her way to make sure her students understand. She will even tutor outside of her designated office hours.
Professor has a deep indian accent and is hard to clearly understand what she is trying to explain. Her examples ref. to the lectures are terrible. During labs, she demos more than she allows us to participate. My advice, self-study a lot! Her lectures are 100% power point & doesn't do much writing.
She is a dedicated, professional, and hard working teacher, always accessible. Her lectures are very informative.Microbiology is a tough course but she keeps students involved and engaged by explaining the subject with reference to the text, and other subjects especially A&P 1,2, wherever necessary. She has great knowledge of microbial processes.
She has a heavy indian accent, difficult to understand. Her tests are hard and you have to go above and beyond to make sure you know the work. Study the power points and do the homework assignments. Do not take
Avoid her. She'll be surprised to see her evaluation report at the end of the semester. Every one in my class literally hated her. Very unorganized & disrespectful. I can't believe person like Tawde is called a "professor" because she is not professional at all.
Very disrespectful. Doesn't seem to know how to teach a college level course. Her class was the only session that was left in the beginning of the semester and that's why I took Bio311 with her. I really, really, really regret it. AVOID HER!!!
she's not that bad, there are worst professors out there. she is very nice. study all the powerpoints since her test is related to it. her test is straightforward, it wouldn't trick you. as long as you read her notes and study, you'll be fine.
This professor is not so great at teaching. She uses power points and just reads everything off if them. (Which we can all do by ourselves) she doesn't like when you ask questions. Her accent is heavy which makes it even harder to understand. She allows 3 absences. SHE BABBLES ALOT ABOUT THINGS THAT WILL NOT EVEN BE ON THE TEST! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I would not recommend this professor to anyone. She is useless. She rushes through the material. She expects you to know the information. Never fully explains things. She is rude and thinks she knows everything!!! There five tests. Attendance is mandated or she will fail you. Advisory dont pick her she is the worst!!!!!!!
All the previous comments are just misleading. I just had my 1st exam. I got an A. She is really nice and helpful.she always talks with a smile. It is not hard if you read the chapter before coming to class, take good class notes, and review after class. If u think this is hard, you won't survive in nursing program.
She is a wonderful professor. She makes her lectures very interesting and she does a very good job of explaining the concepts to get the point across. I would definitely take her class again.
Overall, Professor Tawde is a really approachable and nice woman. However, I think she goes around in circle during her lectures to get to her point. Her exams were mostly based off her power-points and she sometimes gives a review sheet. I would recommend her because what's on her power-points are very helpful in passing the class.
Worst, professor I've have thus far. Her accent is thick and she's never on time. Her lateness you pay for it by being rush to learn a lesson. The class is very boring and she's makes it uninterested. I advise you do not take her.
Easy grader, very nice person, helpful. Can be a little disorganized at times. But it was fun to have lab with her.
Professor Tawde clearly has a passion for what she does and it translates well in her lectures. She is an upbeat, focused professor who does an excellent job of making course material clear to the class, and makes sure students are well prepared for exams. I had for for anatomy & physiology lab, and truly enjoyed going to class every week.
The class in general is very hard to get an A. With that being said, I feel she is one of the professor's that will do the most she can to help you succeed for this type of class. Her lectures are kinda disorganized. We focus on one topic and then rush through the next one, but she does have slides that help a lot.
Bases her lectures and exams on her Powerpoint slides; won't need the book very much. Doesn't use her time wisely; spends a lot of time on some topics and rushes through others to get done. Will get off-topic and distracted. Exams are very easy; however, this is a disadvantage when you take the dept. final. But a very nice professor.
Dr. Tawde is an excellent Anatomy & Physiology professor! I just love her. Feel very fortunate to have had her and feel very prepared for A&PII and only wish Dr. Tawde was teaching it next semester. You will have to study like crazy to get a good grade, but Dr. Tawde will get you there if you so your part as well.
She is a very good proffesor. Her lectures are clear and she will give you homework once in the semester and will give you extra points towards your grade.
Dr. Tawde is an excellent A&P professor - one of the best for sure! A&P is a hard class under the best of circumstances, and you must study a lot. Dr. Tawde will teach you all you need to know, she provides awesome power points and she clearly is a passionate professor. Love her!
She is VERY disorganized, she is also very hard to understand. She is not clear as to what will be on the exams. She also will spend two days on one chapter and rush through another to add it on the exam. I just simply do not understand her logic.
Dr. Tawde is very helpful even though it might be hard to understand her sometimes. She is there for her students and also help you to get into research programs. Her exams are based on her power points and could be a little tricky. She is a little boring but if you participate in class she will give you extra points. She is very approachable.
Dr. Tawde means well and when it comes down to it really does want her students to succeed. She is very smart and knows what she is talking about, however there were many times when she was not prepared and blamed it on students. She can be disrespectful at times as well when she gets frustrated. The grade is entirely up to you, study hard.
Dr Tawde is a very nice professor and she gives extra credit. The only thing that really upset me was how she always came in late. Every lecture class she came in late and at the end of the lecture she crammed everything so we got out late. She was even late for the final. Theres about 1 hour for a test of 50 multiple choice.
Dr. Tawde is actaully a very nice professor, but when it comes to teaching she's not so good. She is very disorganized, comes late and then tires to cramp up all the powerpoints. She gives review sheets for every test but doesn't help much since its completely different from whats in the test.
She's a nice prof but very disorganized. Comes late to class almost every other day and makes the lecture longer than the class period. Powerpoint's are super long. You study a lot to answer almost the same question on the exam because they are so repetitive. What is homework?? Her syllabus is also confusing.
her tests are from the power points. just read and understand them you can get a good grade. The only hard thing is the final because it is cumulative. She is a nice prof, she helps her student. clear lectures!!
Make sure you read before coming to every class, she asks a lot of questions in class you have to answer them or she get you a lecture on how much you have to read, pay attention, everything in on the powerpoint and all test are somewhat easy but in order to understand you have to read and know the powerpoint.
I have taken her for Microbiology lab. This lab portion of the class is not a joke. She's very subtle in the beginning of the semester. But if you participate a lot in class and read beforehand. She'll like you a lot. She cares deeply about her students, and wants you to work your best. Just stay on top of the reading and come to lab prepare.
She honestly doesn't know how to teach to be honest. She reads off the slides. She really needs to work on her organization. Before maybe she was a great professor but now idk what is wrong that she doesn't know how to teach at all. Her exams are honestly half impossible only if you have enough time to study then maybe you will actually pass
She's HORRIBLE do NOT take her you will learn nothing she knows her stuff but cannot teach unorganized her slides are the test but the questions are worded hard you have to basically teach yourself everything I studied hard and still didn't do well don't waste money on the book you never use it
Very nice professor, make sure to read before class and study powerpoint. I had her for lecture and I would definitely take another class with her.
She can be a tough teacher if you do not following along in class and you miss them. Her powerpoints reflect the text, so if you read the textbook and you pay attention in class you will do fine. She does tend to rush through topics especially when she is running behind. Overall she is very knowledgeable, but her analogies are lacking big time.
Does not know how to teach! Her material and information for each lesson is all over the place. She goes out of the order on her slides and often forgets to mention important things that she has to go back to. Test questions do not make sense. Difficult to work with. She has a very strong accent which makes it difficult to understand her.
- is HIGHLY UNorganized. - doesnt understand situations; if you had tech errors while taking an exam. - doesnt have consistency with doing 1 thing at a time. - uses 2 ppts to explain 1 chapter. - jumps from slide 2 to slide 16. - forgets what she wants to say. - says "uh" "um" every second & it hurts my head. - very unfair with the grading.
She is a nice professor so it pains me to give her a bad rating, HOWEVER, she needs to be more organized when it comes to teaching her labs. I am not sure if it was because it was online but she was all over the place and took forever to make a point. If she does that she would be 3.5-4 professor! DO not take her if you can't self study.
he doesn't work with her students at all! She will go from slide 5, to slide 15. She is all over the place. Will not give extra credit to boost from 89 to 90. Learning science online was tough but she made it even more difficult. Test questions made no sense. So worried about cheating that she went out of her way to make test difficult. THE WORST
Disorganized and takes forever to grade things in a timely manner. We would be taking the 3rd quiz and the grades for the 2nd quiz would still not be graded... its been 5 days and final grades are still not posted.
Her exams are hard and her lectures are disorganized. Shes a sweet, and caring lady but teaching wise she was all over the place and made errors with her test answer key. If you watch the lecture videos she uploads before the class, youd be better prepared for the class. But she is very confusing when she teaches.
Not sure why she has a 2.9/5. I have her for lab and lecture and she's a good professor. She explains things well, exams are very straightforward and she is a fair grader. If you make the slightest effort to review material and read the chapters you will do well. I would take another class with her again. She appreciate people who participate.
I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. She is really caring and will try her best to work with you, this is a hard course so you have to put in equal amounts of effort.
She is such a caring professor, she will try and work with you along the way and will make it clear to reach out to her if you are ever lost. Microbiology itself is a tough course so students need to put in equal amounts of effort.
shes great
This Professor is one of the worst professors I have ever had. Ahe is very inrespectful, is not organized, and is not responsible. She does not answer emails and answer very rude when you ask questions in the class. She does not explain well the information. The only good thing about this professor is the extra credit.
She's great!
The worst professor I've ever had. Extremely unorganized & apathetic. Tests are super hard because she can barely explain things well and a majority of the test isn't on her slides. Seems like she wants her students to fail and acts as if everyone wants to become a microbiologist. Forgets students have other classes. Doesn't allow study groups.
Awful, has no sympathy for her students. -She is not friendly -She is extremely disorganized -She does not give review sheets -Her test are extremely hard, she purposely words them to confuse you.
The most disorganized professor I've ever had. It's obvious she knows about microbio but she does not know how to teach it. Exam questions either aren't on the slides or are worded incoherently. She'll be on slide 5 and jump to slide 20, the course documents aren't in order and she is very apathetic. Don't take this professor!!!!
DO not take her for any classes. EXTREMELY unorganized. she expects you to self teach. she was constantly yelling at us on the days we were in person. She expects you to know new material never taught by her just by you reading it a few days before class. I have no idea why QCC could EVER hire her. she cannot teach and she shouldn't teach.
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR. DO NOT TAKE!!!!She doesn't teach. She just asks questions on the material she is supposed to be teaching. How am I supposed to know the answer IF THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME SEEING THE MATERIAL. Then she gets mad that no one knows the answer. If you want to pass her lab memorize EVERYTHING IN THE LAB EXERCISE EVERY DETAIL.
Literally the worst professor. Is late to class, unorganized, doesn't allow study groups, and does NOT know how to teach. Exams are worded weirdly and improperly. She skips from slide 1 to slide 20 randomly just to prove one point. Do not take this professor, she purposefully makes this class even harder than it needs to be.
Always late and skip through 40 slides just to prove one point. Just too much confusion stay away
horrible professor dont take !! retook this class 2 times
I had her for lab and she is alright and nice but omg she is so unorganized and cannot teach to save her life. She even forgets what shes teaching and asks other students to help her!! be prepared to teach yourself and go to the extra help in the library bc they teach better. Plz do not take her I beg you
Worst professor ever. Displays favoritism. Allows certain students to cheat on exams.
Unorganized and late to her classes. Bad choice for students who are learning for the first time. She teaches assuming students has a background in science. She shows favoritism towards students who's already learned the subject - leaving others to struggle. Lecture is 10% teaching, and 90% "Understand, this is very important." (No explanation)
easy going, never took attendance, easy tests (doesn't usually ask questions about super detailed stuff, also 50 questions is normal for ALL profs). BUT she's SO unorganised. late to almost all classes. doesn't use class time effectively. says THIS IS IMPORTANT, but doesn't explain. my class was always behind schedule. Wouldn't take her again.
5 short answer quizzes, no grades dropped. final cumulative exam and an assignment worth 10%. free lab manual but must purchase lab coat. class feels very rushed, run out of time to do experiments. not clear what is quizzed and she sends quiz reminders the night before. read lab instructions before each class.
Beware she is horrible! I do not recommend her because she is very disorganized. The only redeeming quality is that she is a very easy grader. However, it requires you to spend days reviewing in order to get a good grade. She does not teach properly, and the class material is hard as it is for AP1. Just avoid at all cost...
Be aware, be aware, be aware
Dr. Tawde is one of the best professors I have ever had. Her lectures and teaching style is straight forward. She is kind to her students and wants you to succeed. Dr. Tawde always finds a way to make a stressful situation fun. I enjoyed having her classes. She will also work with you and ensure you understand the material.
She is one of the best microbiology lab professors , her quizzes and lab practicals are easy, and she shows and explains every experiment you just need to pay attention. I recommend her
Lecture was just reading off the PowerPoints. Exam Questions were worded weirdly and sometimes not relevant to what was covered in class. That being said, Prof Tawde is very sweet and helpful at explaining what she means in her questions if you ask during the exam. Class is a lot of work but it is possible to succeed, just takes a lot of studying.
Hello everyone,I want to clarify that Microbiology (BI 311) is very intense either in the lecture or the lab. You are required to read and memorize a lot of information. Second Professor Mangala is a good professor, potentially trying hard to illustrate the materials, and navigating you on her slides to which you have to focus. Just do your work.
Professor Mangala is very good, as she spends much effort illustrating and she will ask to read before you come to the lab. Trully, the material of the course requires you to read and memorize. She requires her students to concentrate in the lab , especially through the experiments. Her quizzes are straightforward, but you need to study hard.
She is phenomenal! I had her for both lecture and lab! I recommend taking her for both! She is very knowledgeable about the material. Microbiology is not an easy subject but she explains everything so well. She is the sweetest and the coolest! I will miss attending her classes! I strongly recommend her! She is the best micro professor!
she is very considerate and wants you to succeed. however, the questions on the exams are written weirdly and are sometimes hard to understand. some questions on the exams are not topics that are on the review sheet.
She is the best microbiology professor for both lecture and lab! I strongly recommend taking her for both!
Very good teacher, you need to take this class seriously if you want to pass. She's great, and her teaching method is patient and fun.
If you want an A in 301 lab, take this professor. Attend her lab class; don't miss it because what she talks about is what will be on the exam. Takes notes and focuses on what she says; she eliminates the unnecessary stuff. Her review sheet has most of the information for the exam, but if you don't attend, you will fail.
worst professor, please be aware does not give review for quizzes clearly and gives it 2 days befrore the quiz does not drop the lowest grade either
