Great Professor. Trully genuine and kind. Very understanding. I took his class this summer. He rocked! He made lectures fun and interesting. Labs were also great. Learned a lot. Thanks Dr. Chbat :-)

He has a heavy accent. Although his exams are pretty straight forward, his lectures are very boring and uninteresting. I totally disagree with the other rating. If you can tolerate a heavy accent and manage to stay up in a 3 hour class, then he is the prof for you.

He is a very good teacher and is a very good teacher. His exams are exactly what he puts in his notes and does not have exams that were not in the information given. He knows what he is teaching and very pleasant teacher. As long as you pay attention in lecture and lab you will do well.

I can honestly say that this is one of the best teachers that i've ever had. He is a rare type -- one that actually WANTS his students to learn. He doesn't just say what the book says and leave questions unanswered. He will help you until you understand if there is something that you don't. Take this teacher and you won't regret it.

His accent is not that heavy, considering we all do have an accent. If you did well in the class then you understood what he was saying. He is an excellent teacher and would take him again if I have to. His class is very interesting if you know what you are doing in school..

Prof. Chbat is an awesome professor & wants his students to do well. Easy to get an A if you put in a little effort. That's why I took him for A&P I, A&P II, and Micro! Exams are all M/C; Final is not cumulative; offers lots of extra credit. He hands out notes of his Powerpoint presentations, and gives reviews--so you know exactly what to study.

I made an A in both AP1 & 2. Just listen to his lectures and get an overall understanding of concepts. On lab day, dont leave early unless you do EVERYTHING. he notices who participates in all lectures and who doesnt.

I had Dr. Chbat for micro and he made it so interesting, I looked forward to coming to class. He's very professional and knows his subject. He answers your questions and makes sure you understand the material. he lets you copy his powerpoint presentations and gives test review sheets, you have to never come to class and not read the book to fail.

Professor chbat is an awesome professor. I took him for a&p 1&2 and also microbio. I strongly recommend him! He gives very detailed lectures and as long as you print out the notes and study them you are good to go. He does say many times through his lecture what is on the following exam. Don't really need a book! I made an A without one

I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVED this class. This teacher is very willing to work with you. You literally have to try to fail because it's that easy (if you keep up with the reading, do the practice quizzes, and labs). Our class loved him so much that a majority of us registered for his A&P 2402 before our semester was even over!

I think he is one of the best A&P teachers to take, I took his online class and I loved it he has such great outlines and notes that makes the class less stressful. His test and quizzes are simple, but you have to study the material. Do not buy the book, he does not use it. Overall he is awesome and take him if you want to pass.

Very good instructor. I made an A in A&P 1 and a B IN A&P 2. I could have made a A but I was kinda stresss with some other teachers. He is very understanding and helpful. The test are easy when you pay attention in class and do the self quizes. It's not a push over but you can make good grades.

I enjoyed this class. Dr Chbat kept the class interesting (it was hybrid) and clearly explained any questions I had. It's a tough subject, so be prepared to study, but he makes it as easy as this class could be, and keeps it fun.

Dr. Chbat is a good professor. I was a bit apprehensive because some of his ratings for 2402, but I took his hybrid course and its completely doable. Havent received my final scores yet, but Im fairly sure I got a B in the course.

I took his hybrid class and really liked the format and his grading scale. Lecture and most of our tests were online, labs and lab exams plus the final were in person. As long as you do the work and study for the tests it is pretty easy to make an A. I plan on taking him next semester for A&P II as well!

Great instructor, I took his A&P I hybrid class and it was a breeze. You need to show up to class, do your online assignments and complete all your labs, but I think he is a fair grader and he gives you the tools you need to succeed. I am taking him again for A&P II this semester. Chbat is probably one of HCC's best A&P instructors!

I take BIOL 2402 as hybrid class and feel a little bit disappointed. I love to attend in his lecture because he explain everything clearly. In hybrid, you only have to show up once every TWO weeks for the lab. No lecture during the whole semester. A minus for that!you learn on your own.But the online test is what on the quiz! Yay! 3 attemps/quiz

I take the on-campus class.His lecture is very clear. However, due the load of the course, you had better read the book before comming to class, so you can get everything faster. Lab is helpful. There are 4 test and 1 comprehensive final. You have many pop quizzes to earn bonus point. So, keep review every chapter. Dont wait until the last minute!

Dr.Chbat is a great teacher, he really cares that his students learn and grades very fairly. If you study, your grades will reflect that. He's also a good looking man by the way lol

Dr. Chbat is a extremely great TEACHER! He knows his stuff of course because he is a DOCTOR but is so approachable and humble. He is there to make you a better student and will answer all of your questions without making you feel dumb. This is a tough subject so you have to do your part also, but having him as a instructor is a plus!

Professor Chbat is very organized, enthusiastic, and inspirational. He has wide knowledge about A&P. Moreover, his preparation, such as power points, outline of chapters, and practiced questions, is very helpful for student to study this course. Focus on quiz, and practice questions from learning web, you will be fine.

Hands down, Dr. Chbat is the best professor I have had at HCC and Lonestar. What helped me the most is that the professor shows you examples by using the skeleton or pointing to the body. Took him for the mini winter term & wish I'd taken him for 2401! GREAT lectures. Clear cut. He likes participation to know that you understand. Class was tough but then again we only had 3.5wks to learn the material! Quizzes & test were at home. Lab and final were in person. Review sheets for ALL chapters. Labs were fun. Do the work and easy A or B

Best Teacher ever! Took both a&p1 and a&p 2 at HCC. Very interesting class - I learned a lot from both class. He explained everything clearly and gives review for exams. Study and go to his class. I really wished all the teachers were like him at HCC.

Dr Chbat is a great prof. It was a very intense 5 wk course but he makes the course possible to balance work & school. Make sure to do all the quizzes (per chpt), he gives review for his lablec exams, and provide opportunity for extra credit. He's the type that would like to see his students succeed. Dr. Chbat is extremely knowledge but he tends to talk really fast and zooms through the PowerPoint. Helpful guide: quiz answers are found in his outlines, tests answers are found in PowerPoints + book+ review + self quizzes, test reviews and self quizzes are found in his learning web. Youre welcome. If you're smart, take my advice.

He is very considerate in changing test dates for the whole class if everyone agrees they are not ready. The material is tough but he gives lots of practice quizzes, pop quizzes and resources. I took Chbat for A&PII about three years ago and I still remember the information he taught from lectures/lab. If I could, I would definitely take him again. There is NO reason at all for someone to fail his class. He provides you with all the materials you need to do well and succeed. Don't be lazy, do your work, and do your best. Easy A for sure.

I took a hybrid course- all quizzes and tests were at home online with CRAZY long time limits AND you could retake them for better grades! Show up for lab and use flashcards to study. Nothing was unexpected. He wants you to do well. The final was a BREEZE compared to what I was prepared for. HIGHLY recommend

Very organized & clear Professor. The work outside of class is time-consuming, especially since you want to read before lectures, but he tries to make it as easy as possible for you with still getting all the information that you need. You can tell he wants the best for you but to still learn as much as you can. I have a lot of respect for him.

For someone who hates anatomy, Dr Chbat do not hesitate to help others especially for those who have jobs. all quizes are online with the chances of 3 attempts to help you learn and pass. Study is a must for the exams, just remember to read read read the assigned chapter and pay attention to his lecture. 5 discussion and non stop extra credit.

BEST PROF. EVER!!!!!He makes A&P easy to learn. Read your textbook and go by his powerpoints. They are more understandable than the book. I took this professor for Anatomy 1 lab. Best decision I could have ever made! You won't regret taking this professor. He really cares about you passing. Seriously the best professor. Willing to help you at all costs but you need to study to earn that A. As a nursing major I am happy I took him and feel confident about the subject. Word to the wise.. take him for lab and lecture. I had classmates that had different teachers for both and it can be a bit difficult.

I took this professor for Anatomy 1 lab, he is a great professor, knows how to help you learn difficult subjects, tests are easy, but challenging, labs are incredibly easy. He is eager with what he does, helps you with questions you have, and puts in grades almost immediately

I don't know what to say but, God bless this man. Try his class and you won't be disappointed, Just do your works on time, email him with your HCC email, he will reply as soon as he sees it. he doesn't want you to miss anything, you just have to ask, trust me, he will help/advise you on what to do if he can't. Final exam is from the class exams

Took hybrid online, 3.5 wks to learn everything, it was tough. All test+quiz online, midterm(webcam), final in person. Got a 100 on test+midterm but the final was hard. It was nothing like his usual exam questions, somehow got a 72 while guessing half the test, class avrge was a 56. Study only the study guide for the final rather than past exams

He is great professor, respected, caring and patient. Extra credit quizes helps a lot. You still have to study and know the material but he makes it easy to understand and follow. Participation is important :) Will definitely take him again but his classes fill soooo fast

Took him for both ap 1 and 2 and had no complaints. I recommend taking him in person if you struggle with pushing yourself to study for online classes. Answers questions and emails promptly. Assignments/Quizzes/Lectures will help you earn A on exams which are pretty straight forward. Final will be the easiest exam you take.

The best professor in HCC. He loves what he teaches. The subject is not easy but he makes it really easy for the students to understand. Just take notes on what he writes on the board, do the labs, and study the labs for the quizzes & exams. 4 quizzes and 2 exams. You wont regret taking his class. I took Prof. Chbat for Spring 2018, online class 16 weeks. I struggled a bit at first BUT only because I was using his power points as a guide instead of reading the chapters. Once I got the hang of how to study it was fairly easy. It is all mainly memorization. Having a good lab teacher helps as well for bones, senses, brain etc. HE IS AWESOME!

Took his class online in the summer, he posted everything upfront with the due dates so you can work at your own pace. The third exam was an in person exam, does NOT give reviews. Make sure you take the homework serious, it can help your average out. He listed extra credit in his syllabus, but never gave the opportunity to receive it.

Took him for AP2 LAB in the summer. Lab book is required and thats where the exams come from. Study the lab manual and you'll be fine! He's truly amazing and very caring. Makes you feel comfortable with asking him questions.

Take this Professor you won't regret it his online course is very organized and everything is open to complete except the tests. There were four major exams two in person and two online homework and quizzes for each chapter and two discussions in which you have to answer case study questions and yes he does give extra credit.

He's the best college professor you will have. He's respectful, kind, and builds confidence in people. He really believes in you and wants you to do your best. He cares about his work, his students and their success. You will not be disappointed in his education and his learning techniques. He's hard to get into because his classes are excellent.

5 weeks summer session. Provided exams review which was specific on what the tested material would be. It is important to show up for class obviously being that it is a lab class and everything is hands-on. Lab book is an easy A, just make sure you DO IT. Exams are based on the lab book and lecture slides with very specific questions.

I took him for his A and P 1 lab course. We had 4 tests (2 MC and matching and 2 practical-written exams). The two written lab exams were the bones and muscles using diagrams and lab models. He gave you a list of the bones and muscles that you needed for the exam. He also gave reviews for each test. Lab reports were easy. Microscope exam was easy!

Dr. Schbat is a blessing, his ppts are organized and meticulous. You can seriously skip reading the book with his ppt (wouldnt recommend it). We are tested on material we actually learn and can recall, no tricky questions. I took him Lab/Lecture As on both. If youre passionate about your major youll put in the work and get your desired grade.

One of my favorite professors! He was great, theres not a lot of homework. His lectures are good, he encourages you to participate in class. Do the pop quizzes! They are just extra credit opportunities & you cant be hurt by them! Tests are easy. Very smart guy! Would take again for sure!!

You have to study for this class, however, if you do you will do well. The tests all come from the study material and the quizzes. There are so many classes I have taken in the past to where you would study the material, attend every lecture and then you would get the test it would be completely different. He is ethical and you will learn!

3 lab exams (60%)-over certain lab exercises, lab reports-easy if you do them (20%), lab final (10%), Pre/Post lab quizzes (20%)-easy if you read the lab. All exams were multiple choice with 50 questions each (labeling as well). He was a great professor and I highly recommend him for lab. He also gives pop quizzes which are extra credit- do them!

One of the most clear and organized professors ive ever had. Made this class as easy as it could be. Also a very sweet person.

Professor Chbat is the BEST!! This class isn't necessarily an easy A, however, he provides us with countless resources to aid in our studies. We study 4 chapters every 2-3 weeks & have about 12 assignments (hw, quiz, and practice for each chapter) due at the end of those 2 weeks. They're all SUPER easy! Take this class you won't regret it! 10/10!!!

My favorite professor I've ever had! Available outside of class. This class is not an easy course but he definitely made the semester easy by providing support in or outside of class. Explains material well. You HAVE to study and put your part but he is a great professor and will get you through this course. Wish we had more like him!

The material is hard, but don't worry about your grade and just focus on learning because your average will skyrocket at the end of the course. There's extra credit in the form of pop quizzes which adds 3 points to your average (if you do all of it correctly), and he drops your lowest test score, so my average went up 6 points at the last minute!

The subject itself is demanding, but I had a pleasant experience in this class. Professor Schbat replies to your inquiries quickly and gives pop quizzes. At the end of the semester, he decides the weight of those quizzes depending on how well the class did. This course is self-taught, so find what works for you and pay attention to class.

This professor is amazing. he help a lot students and there is 4 exams at the end of semester he will drop the lowest grade. he is the best professor. he will not give you stress during the semester and for every chapter he has the practice quiz with study guide. anything he say will be on the exam. nothing from outside. take him

He is a great professor. He is organized and his lab classes are so informative. He is an experienced professor who cares about the students. His practical lab was my best lab course experience. His exams contains all he has taught in the class and nothing out of content. I definitely recommend you to take whatever course he offers.

I enjoyed Dr. Schbat's A&P Lab I class! He was a man of his word. He announced the dates of pop quizzes and provided study guides based on the exams. Most exams were on bubble sheets in person. Questions focused on labeling models. Dr. Schbat made the extra credit worth a lot and dropped some of the lowest homework grades to show his appreciation.

Prof. Manhal is one of my favorite professors because he cares about his students and wants you to do well. He is clear and direct about what you need to learn for his exams. He also gave us time to look at our previous incorrect questions so we could see what we did not know prior to the final exam.

Manhal Schbat was one of the best instructors I had. It was an eight weeks class with a lot of homework, but I made it :)

This guy is the goat, you're not going to find a better lab teacher than him. Exams are easy bake.

This professor is the best! Engaging lectures, easy exams, and no need for the textbook. I used unstuck AI to prepare and breezed through the class with a great grade.

I've never had a professor as great as Dr. Chbat at HCC. If you have the opportunity to take him DO IT and don't hesitate! His lectures are engaging and interesting and you can definitely tell he cares about his students succeeding and loves what he does! He tells you exactly what you need to know on the exam so just spend time on the test reviews.

I recommend taking him for lab! It's a chill class with minimal busy work. Exams are 70% of your grade but he usually allows a 2nd attempt to improve your score. There's also extra credit so make sure to do that and we even did a heart dissection. Lab report is 20% of your grade and group project is 10% so it's not much assignments graded on.
