Not sure what to say but it was a really good experience. To be honest Im a hard head. I have a block in my head when it comes to science classes, and math as well. So I honestly thought I wasn't going to pass, but the way he explains the material makes you get what he's talking about. And he actually lets us do labs during lab time.

He's not a tough grader at all and for the most part this class isn't hard. He allows you to do the homework in class. He also allowed the class to use our books during midterm/final/quizzes; gives the option to take at home. Call him because he doesn't respond to emails. This class looks at Microsoft, PowerPoint, excel, etc. on a deeper level.

I took this class online and I wish I took it in person. The class is simple reading from a textbook which cost $100 and needing to buy a program online which is another $100. When you can just get the PDF for free. He gives everyone feedback in discussions so everyone will understand.

Professor Kang's number one concern is his students. He is very flexible with weekly assignment due dates if you have a valid reason that's holding you back from submitting it. The only caution I have is that even if the assignments seem relatively easy, they only scratch the surface for the quizzes and tests. It's imperative to read the books.

During the pandemic, stressing about Grades and future transfers, fortunately taking this gem of a professor who continues to motivate us to keep working hard, and promises we don't have to worry if we do our best. Overall good class to learn the basics of Linux. The professor is very flexible, despite the super long hours, it is only one day per week class. I would recommend it for anyone who needs to take this as a requirement or is interested in learning about the basics of Linux/Ubuntu.

I had the csci7 in the last spring semester. This semester, I took csci41, He always help me when I late homework and he gonna change the due. He is willing to answer your question as fast as possible. You just need to read the book and take a quiz, these questions are in the book. Hw is also easy. It is the best computer science I have taken.

You can read other students' answers and the professors additional questions if you are stuck on the discussion topics. Quizzes are easy to do if you read the PDF and the provided online free book. He answers all of your questions.

I took Professor Kang for CSCI14 in the fall semester 2021 and passed with an A. The professor was great in always providing resources to his students and went as far as giving him personal contact information if a student needed help. He was incredibly patient and waited for all the students to understand what was being taught before proceeding.

He does a great job of explaining the material and also genuinely cares about the progress of his students. He also asks whether you understand the lesson, and is willing to give more examples and additional help.

This class was very straightforward and the professor was extremely kind and supportive of the students.

Professor Kang is a great Professor who tries to help his students succeed. His lecture slides are pretty good and if you have any questions about the course material you can ask him. The class is not test heavy and you mostly write programs from the lecture slides and review them. He is clear in his lecture slides and the labs reflect what taught.

We used an online textbook called MyLab Programming specifically for the practice problems, it was $50~$60. All of the lecture slides are available on canvas as well as the practice programs. Professor Kang cares a lot about his students and tries to make decisions that are in his students best interests. Ask him questions if you are confused.

At times he moves very fast through the lecture slides, but he will happily stop or slow down to answer any questions anyone might have. Overall a great class.

Professor was very willing to work with students! If you had a problem, all you had to do was communicate with him. I struggled with computer science but he made learning it much easier. We have to buy an online Pearson program, but lets us download a pdf for the actual textbook.

This was an information heavy class, but professor Kang was able to break it down very well. I had a hard time turning in all of my assignments as and athlete, but he was very understanding and helped me through the semester.

Professor Kang's hybrid course was very easy to understand and the material was also easy. We use textbooks but it's either free or low price. I took this course for credit and would take again another class with his teaching style. He gives demos during his lecture that is also easy to follow and the homework always correlates with his lectures.

He listens to his students opinions, and asks them if they're comfortable whether the task is given. If I moved on to the next level of computer programming, I'd choose him as my professor again.

The tests from an introductory Python course was not difficult. If you decide to use online sources to complete assignments and tests. I'd say its valid and you should only use so much to benefit your own learning if you want to genuinely want to start programming. Good overall professor! Would take his online course again!
