Great teacher. Very helpful. Takes out lowest score from your tests. Gives answers for quizes, you just need to memorize them. I higly recommend to take him for humanities.
I loved this course, and Mr. Kahn was wonderful! He was so passionate about the subject, which helped to make it interesting to me. At times his lectures were monotonous but the fact that I was taking this course at night could have had something to do
Great professor. Very enthusiastic and passionate when teaching course. Very knowledgable. Good sense of humor.
Mr Khan is probably my favorite teacher. I like how he gets soo excited when he is talking about a certain subject, thats how you know you have a teacher who really loves what they are doing. I reccomend anyone who needs a humanites or western civ credit
He is insanely hard to follow. He goes off on tangents about who knows what. I think everyone in the class was asleep all the time. It is true that he drops your lowest test score though. He is really nice but I would not recommend him.
Very intelligent, articulate, and passionate. Has been to actual places that he talks about. (which means he knows what he's talking about). Makes you use your brain, makes you analyze things the way a real good professor ought to. Friendly- ask questions
VERY nice teacher, a little boring at times, but he's really easygoing and knowledgeable. Take his class!
Good teacher. Very smart. Take this class.
He loves to show off his vocabulary skills. He's a nice guy but his tests are a little tough. It's a hard A but easy B.
Very good professor. Best teacher of Humanities as well!
Mr. khan genuinly cares for the well being of his students, if you need something, he will go out of hjis way to help you. his class was very enlightening, and if you get a chance, take it. Bcc is lucky to have such an intelligent professor working for them.
Mr. Khan is the best professor I have had so far in college. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and learned a lot. I would highly recommend taking Khan for Humanities, he was awesome!
He is the best. I am really sad I cannot take anymore of his classes. He is really understanding on deadlines and always responds to emails. His lectures are pretty interesting and if you study the power points and outlines you will ace all of the tests.
Excellent. Very interesting. Fair
Cool guy for the most part. Papers are split up into 500-word increments, which I liked. Can be boring at some points, but as long as you remain conscious in class and study a little for the tests, you'll be fine.
Took another class with him because I enjoy his teaching methods. He is very knowledgeable, and loves his subject. He loves when class gets involved in discussions. Study his powerpoints and no problem acing the exams.
Knows his stuff. will help you if needed
GREAT teacher! Study your outlines and powerpoints for the test, you'll do fine. The papers are not bad. If you have to take the class take it with him.
Great enthusiasm, made the class enjoyable, his outlines and powerpoints are the key to success in the class. Beware -- if you go to class you will learn something -- not by choice but because he makes it so interesting.
Wonderful prof- he and Dr. Chamberlain are the best two profs at Cocoa. Take Khan's class- you will learn worlds of info. Really nice too!!
The class could be very interesting, but his teaching methods are a bit boring, as long as you can stay awake and listen to the lectures youll be ok, make sure to actually read the chapters though...
His class would have been good if he made it more interesting. Nothing but lecture. His papers are very easy, but his tests you really gotta know your stuff.
Not hard but not easy either. Typical daily stand up lecturer. Powerpoints dont really make sense until after reading the chapters. Exams require you to understand/live the material. Gives curve on every exam. Generous paper grader. EXAMS: 4 total. 35 questions each. Drops lowest exam. PAPERS: 6 total, 500 words each. ATTENDANCE: About 10% of grade
WAY too many movies. He is unclear as to what will be on the tests, and he only lectures on a small portion of the material. (and goes on and on about those portions) Likes to argue with students even when he is wrong. He's cute, but pompous. There's probably a better teacher for this class if you look around.
His class was pretty easy. He usually breaks up the lectures by talking to the class (even though hardly anyone but me and 2 other people would say anything). His papers are really easy. For the tests, just study the power points and you will get an easy A since he curves the tests.
Khan is ALRIGHT. I took him over the summer, and the class was managable. I got an A, but his papers i feel were graded more on a whim and where you stood on the topic, rather than content, but if you have to take him, just put forth effort, outside of the classroom, and you'll be alright. B or A def. And, he likes it if you speak up in class!
He is a very difficult teacher.I have his class now and I have to study for hours for the test and barelly get a B (but that is w/the curve). Almost everyone in the class is struggling. He goes on rants and dosn't stay on topic. I would not recommend him to anyone.
This class was really interesting. I felt like I learned a great deal about why things are the way they are currently. If you print power points and make notes on these during lecture tests are easier to study for. Also, take advantage of group work because alot of the test questions come from the focus questions in the text book.
Khan was easy. I'll just say that. He tends to rant and rave about stupid pointless things, which got extremly annoying. All I wanted was for him to make his point. You use the text book a lot, and power points are a must. If you skim through, you'll pass the class.
Excellent teacher. Didn't spoon feed, but required students to think more deeply about time eras and relate the art and culture to what was happening at the time historically. Gave opportunities for extra credit to bump up grades but you still need to study both his powerpoint presentations and the book.
Khan is not a horrible teacher, but he's a bit of a prima donna and extremely moody. One class period he could be really happy, the next he could be sullen and pouting. He's real big on group discussion and groupthink, and doesn't appreciate people who don't like group discussion. Not a really bad teacher, but if you can get around him do it.
Loves to Lecture and you have to listen, he reveals all test answers in lectures. You will have 6 - 500 word papers which are based on movies you watch in class. Easy A. He comes off as a tough teacher but he loosens up once class starts to participate.
Mr. Khan is an excellent professor. This is a lecture class with required class participation. He posts all his PowerPoint presentations online which makes it easy to print and follow in class. If you study the PowerPoint slides, read the chapters, and pay attention in class, you should have no problem pulling an A.
Great teacher! His class is super easy. You have to write a few 1-2pg essays, but they're easy, even if you don't understand, you can probly bs it. He does go off an tangents sometimes. He might start a sentence and never finish it. lol! He talks very fast, but makes class interesting. I actually learned a lot. I would highly reccomend him!
Good guy, very fair. Easy assignments, easy tests, easy class. Let's you out early, too. One thing I found funny about him: he likes to use "complex" words when speaking - the thing is, he pronounces them wrong! But yeah, definitely recommended.
He's cool! He seems really distracted through most of the classes and we really didn't do anything but write a ton of (easy) papers. THe only thing is you HAVE to memorize the key terms. On the tests he uses them in his own definition so make sure you know the complete definition of the word. Other than that, he's pretty cool.
He was a great teacher full of information. everything in his class was fun and their were alot of in class group asignments but they were easy and fun. you would be stupid if you had the oportunity to take a class that he was teaching and not take it.
Super easy class, however if you are actually interested in humanities and not taking it as a prereq i do not recommend it. I know for sure I will not remember anything from this class and I learned absolutely nothing useful
The essay papers are easy but tests are not. No multiple choice, all short answer and essay. The key terms he provides are useless. He won't explain anything clearly. Can't tell you what I learned but he does let you leave early.
Teacher is kind and likeable and great to have if a busy person. Your choice to leave early but helpful if u stay. All test questions come from homework, so if paying attention to homework, it's a super easy A. Actually learned more than I thought I would.
If you want to learn anything, I wouldn't recommend this teacher. He doesn't lecture well at all and never fully answers the questions to the homework, even if you ask him. He has changed his tests since the previous semester (fall 07) and has made them harder and they are nothing close to a piece of cake! I do not recommend him at ALL.
Mr. Khan is a easy class however you have to do the homework he'll even tell you if you don't your hurting yourself. He doesn't answer question very well but it's all in the book.
Somewhat easy class. DO EVERY HOMEWORK! If you do well on the tests and you do every homework you are guaranteed an A. I was one homework away from a B. He does release students early, calling it a catch and release. He does that quite often. Study the homeworks for the tests. Recommend for students who can teach themselves.
Easy teacher the teacher uses the same material as the year before ask someone for there work from the prior year and you will ace it.
Pretty good. not very personable, but knows a lot, sometimes goes off track, but stays within realm of 2230 Humanities. very intelligent, good teaching style. forgiving on late papers, yet deducts.
Only take his class if you LOVE to write. Changed his tesing method. Now you make up your own debateable essay Quest. and write a 5 paragraph essay- memorize it- come to class & write it for your test. Plus written weekly HMWK. Plus 3 summeries . Not much lecture. I would not take his class again- ever!I did make an A not worth it though.
Had to withdraw within first two weeks because nothing he talked about in class had anything to do with his tests. He made us do assignments and read books that did not come close to any material on the tests. I never have taken or seen any class like this one. As an engineer, I could care much less about this required subject. WHY REQUIRED???!?!?!
Professor Khan is very intellegent. His class is difficult, but you can make an outline for the essay tests and use them. I didn't do two of the second questions on the quizzes and missed a homework and still got a B. I never aced any of the tests, but I still did fairly well. If you like teachers who are well spoken I would definitely recommend ta
This class is difficult enough without a professor like this. He was a nice person but a terrible professor. Communication wasn't very clear and his exams were rediculous. I failed his class and took the same class the next semester with Professor Brill and recieved an "A". It wasn't that Dr. Brill didn't make us work hard, he was just fair.
Professor Khan is a very knowledgable man.Class was fairly easy but you have to be willing to do a lot of writing. If you can manage to write, in which most all college students should, then this class should be a piece of cake. He also offers catch and release which was pretty cool. I would take him again if i had the chance.
Took him for Hum Byz through Enlightenment...I thought it was super easy as long as you do your work. No lectures which is nice. Tests are directly from homework and super easy. I'm taking another one of his classes next semester. Would recomend as long as you do not mind writing a little bit.
He tries to make himself seem smart by over pronouncing words. He is very annoying. The part someone wrote about him being a great teacher is a lie. The tests are all essays so its not directly from text book compare/contrast and another with some stupid question he maes up himself.
I loved Professor Khan! He was very knowledgable in humanities and he was very passionate about his topics. However, when you ask questions he asks, "was it really this" or "was it really that." He never really answers questions, but besides that, be prepared to teach yourself and enjoy the class!
You learn a lot in this class, but if you do not do your work, or study for the test you will fail. The tests are all short answers and one essay, so you have no 50% or multiple choice so be careful he is hard, but if you love humanities you will learn a lot in this class.
Mr. Kahn teaches because it's all he can do with his education. He gives little regard to his students. Either learn his way or not at all. He won't hessitate to lower your grade for noncompliance.
This is the worst teacher I've ever had. He makes my "highschool" teachers look like Einstein. It must be REALLY easy to be a teacher at BCC if he can get in.
Nice guy, just not the best teacher I've ever had. Doesn't really give you any help during his lectures. Read the chapters and you'll do just fine. 3 papers total, LOTS of homework, grades on a curve for all his tests. Like I said, nice guy but I definitely plan on taking someone else next semester.
I just got done with the class and he is overall the best class and teacher that I have ever had. He is hard but he makes you learn the material so if you want to learn something then take this class. I would reccomend this teacher and class to anyone.
The class felt harder than it is. Its tons of homework but he doesn't check right/wrong just that you did it. Tests are extremely hard(besides final, super easy) but then he curves them. He doesnt really teach or even make since in class. Read and study book and guaranteed A though. Also, likes to make you feel like you are less than him.
I enjoyed Professor khan. True the work load is very long however the course is hard within itself and there could be a olot more writnig assignments then there are his humor is good and I enjoyed him I definetly recommend
This teacher was confusing to listen to, I took him in the summer in a 6 wk course which I recommend, if your just wanting to get it over with. Didn't require to much studying except the night before our tests. the test questions come directly from the homework, and the final comes directly from the other tests.
Love this instructor! His summer class is very organized. You can get a lot out of his class- if you listen to his lectures. You will know what continuity and change is for the rest of your life, and the tests are easy if you study the questions he gives you. His tests requie you to provide 2-3 sentences. Do your hw, organize your essays.
I did not like this teacher at all. He can be very belittling when students ask him questions he doesn't understand. I took his hybrid class and he didn't explain to us the format like when he wanted us to read before class, but expected us to do it. Listening to him lecture was annoying, too much stuttering around for bigger words to sound smarter
I really am shocked as to how many bad reviews there are on Khan! He is awesome!-so smart, funny, and passionate about what he teaches. The class is not hard if you work at it. I can't help but think that the people who gave him a poor review are just lazy and want an easy credit. Want to learn something? Take his classes. He's great.
This teacher was great. Tests are all essay and if you know just a little bit about the topic then he'll accept it. All of the essay questions on the tests are questions you do prior to class. Was an awesome teacher and highly recommend him if you want an A.
He's not too bad of a teacher. Sometimes he has random mood swings and will be kind of rude to students though, but most of the time he's bearable. You must do all of the homework and study for tests to do well (test questions come straight from hw) which isn't very hard. Also, make sure you follow his directions essay wise. I made a fairly easy A.
Great Teacher! Test questions are straight from the homework, so make sure you do it. Had 3 essays, which weren't difficult at all. I would recommend tthis teacher to anyone!
I agree with everyone, Professor Khans classes are alot of work but defintely worth it. I plan on taking him again if you try and it shows he will help you. His vocabulary is quite vast but that is not a bad thing. Listen to him and grab a pen and paper and look up what they mean, I got about 20 words from him. Great teacher! Work Hard
I had prof. Khan for online humanities and he was one of the best online instructors I've ever had. He gave out a lot of homework, and it was time consuming, but the material was easy. If you have a question, he emails you back very quickly, usually that day. He lets you know what's going to be on the final, so you can prepare very well.
I LIKE HIM A LOT! All the homework assignments are to be studied in order to do well on his tests! Sometimes he goes off topic, but then gets right back on track. His grading system is easy going. Do the work and you'll get an A! I learned a lot in his class. He puts REAL life experiences into his lectures which make them more worth listening to.
TAKE HIM! His class is a piece of cake! Do all your homework and you'll do well on tests.
He was a great professor. I had him for Hum Svy: Byzantine to Enlightenment, and he was great! If you do your work, there is NO study time needed. The class was easy, and it got my A! He is also really goofy, but that's a good thing (the material is dry!).
Awesome teacher! Do all the reading and the tests are not difficult. Take his class!
He may talk down to you in a way; he is very knowledgeable about this subject. Other than that, apply yourself and the class will be easy. Homework takes about 2 hours and it's only worth 2 points. Videos are 2 points each, there are 2 essays, & 3 tests. Test questions come straight from the homework so do a good job on it and you will be fine.
Great Professor overall, but the class was a bit dull. The book was used every class and NEEDED to pass this course. Not too bad of a professor, but also not my favorite. He is very pompous in my opinion but he's a good professor and you learn a lot from his class.
If you take the class seriously, you will do well. In my experience, many students in my class did not take it seriously and then were angry when test time ruled around. SPECIFICITY is EVERYTHING in Mansoor Khan's classes. I've had him as an instructor twice and always enjoyed his classes very much. You just have to study and work.
Mr. Khan is awesome. I loved his class. He has a dry sense of humor but he does make you laugh. His class is easy, just do the work and the extra credit and you should get an A. Easy Easy Easy A. Hey and you learn a lot whether you want to or not:) Loved this class. Recommend the 6wks (Summer)
Second time having Khan & he is one of the best professor's I've ever had at BCC. I'm going to miss his class! Take him, I highly recommend his class. If you aren't a verbal person, well you better become one because he likes everyone to participate in class discussions.
I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I first walked in, but after the first day, he had me hooked on art history! His lecture style is fun and fluid, he's very easy to listen to and his love for the subject is clear in the way he gets so easily excited. He just lights up when you ask questions and I had a blast! A must have teacher! :)
I took Khan's Western Civ course and my interest in Hum is dead. His tests are excruciatingly hard. There's lengthy homework due nearly every class. His lectures are hard to follow, often behind the subject the homework covered, and then doesn't cover some information on the test. If you aren't good at teaching yourself, don't take this professor.
Mr. Khan was not my favorite teacher; he is not the worst though. Find his lectures somewhat dull and he makes you do discussions that I find unnecessary. His class is easy but YOU NEED THE BOOK! Do the hw and you should do fine on the test. He grades relatively difficult on the essay, but if you work hard on it, you should do well.
I was a 4.0 student prior to this class (having completed over 40 credit hours); however, I received a C-. He grades essays very harshly - this coming from a good writer- and gives little explanation as to why he deducts points. You will have homework nearly every class which takes FOREVER to do. And your final exam is a long essay. Good luck!
OMG he is so corny but good at his job. He forgets the we are college students and not nerds(he is) Sometimes he talks to educated. But the test are the homework. Do your homework and you will pass the test. He is nice but not approachable. He laughs at his jokes which are not funny. If you apply yourself you should get a C atleast
Tells you what he expects out of you on day 1. 2 essays both on Change & Continuity. 2nd Essay/Final is expansion of 1st essay. Homework is easy and word for word in the book. READ THE CHAPTERS AND TAKE NOTES. This is not an easy class but certainly NOT the hardest class I’ve taken either. I really enjoyed his class teacher and information.
Very helpful teacher. He explains everything. Has plenty of office hours. You dod have to work for an A, but it's not too hard. Videos we watch were free online and you can rewatch them while you're writing the video essays.
I took Khan's class two semesters ago,I loved it! Although he is very knowledge and is a little hard to understand his vocab he try's his hardest to be helpful. the tests are based solely on the homework's and just a few questions are from his lecture. Papers are graded toughly but take his tips the first time and the second paper should be easier.
He's very intelligent and interesting. He follows his syllabus and is generally organized, and he expects those qualities from his students (i.e. do you homework and do it on time). Great lecturer; I really felt like his lectures catered to his classes individually. He has a theater-kid quality to him & it's fun. Overall, I enjoyed his class a lot.
I took this course online over the summer (2013). Overall it was a fairly easy course. Not much interaction with the professor but didn’t need much since it was online. However, when interaction was needed, it was prompt and professional.
You need the book. Heis somewhat dull but the course is easy if you do the homework. The video asignments are pointless but sthey are simple and boost your grade. I wouldn't take him again.
Class and homework are somewhat easy. Tests are the exact homework. He acts like you're in high school but always reminds you you're in college. I had an A all year until he graded my essay just low enough to not make it possible to keep the A. i guess he's living up to what he said at the beginning of class that not many people will receive an A
I loved this class. If you enjoy an excellent lecture and can be accountable for keeping track of turn in dates then you will succeed. Not a class for you if you hate to write. You must study but he makes the class fun and gives you all the tools you need! I would definately recommend him.
Mr. Khan is one of the worst professors i've ever had. He gives you hw questions for every chapter and the exams are directly pulled from the hw. Never goes over tests. He rants. none of lecture has to do with subject matter. Im an all A student(70 plus credits) and find this class difficult. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!!
I took this class with Khan in the fall of 2014. I felt he was a great teacher. I also really like the level of teacher student debt and lecture. his presentation of the course material was also objective, as factual as possible and interesting.
Khan has by far been my favorite professor at Eastern Florida State College. I took his EUH1000, western civ. last fall and thoroughly enjoyed his instruction, found his class challenging and enjoyable.
Khan is my favorite teacher here. Took him for Humanities and western civ. Passionate about the subject and the tests are directly from hw questions. Yes, there is A LOT of reading and homework questions, but I learning so much. great, great teacher.
He was boring half of the time, but if you apply yourself you will past the class. Also the test are short response, but the final was multiple choices.
I really enjoyed this class. Mr. Khan is so passionate about what he teaches and he made me want to learn more. Be sure to READ the material and do all of he homework because it will help you on the final exam and mid-term. His lectures can be boring sometimes but overall they're fine. He is also understanding and forgiving sometimes.
He is a nice guy with intellegence about subjects, forces you to learn. has about 20 homework assignments, and a few videos to analyze. strict/enforcing on work&rules. essays are graded a little harsh, must be done how he wants. but overall best teacher in the HUM courses.
Professor Khan really tries to help you understand the subject matter and explain it in different ways. Tests are pretty easy if you study the homework questions and read. The videos he shows are informative and relative and help you later. He doesn't like to see phones out at all, but he is really nice and happy to help (during his advising hours)
Tons of homework and video assignments, but if you do your work you will get an A! He's so nice and very passionate about his work, he loves his job and it's awesome!
Mr. Khan is an awesome teacher! His lectures are sometimes long, but worth it. He is very passionate about Humanities. He is always willing to help. There are homework and video assignments almost every week but they are a great way to study for his tests. Do all the required work and this class should be a breeze!
One of my favorite teachers at EFSC. Have taken 2 classes with him. Only 4-5 tests. Do the homework. Study before the tests. Test questions straight out of the book. Interesting lectures but sometime tangents. Definitely would recommend.
Overall a good teacher and class. Do your HW, he lets you use it as notes during the 3 tests he gives you. You will have at least 2 HW assignments a week, although only worth 2 points a piece. You will also have 3 Analytical Essays that are more weighted and a multi media project. He does no review for tests or final. Book is your study guide.
One of the best professors I've ever had throughout getting my BA, and the best professor I've had at EFSC. He's one of those professors who tries his best to get his students to improve themselves intellectually. You have to work for a good grade, but the work isn't mindless, it's designed to make you a better student and a more critical thinker.
I honestly would not recommend Mansoor Khan to anybody. Honestly you would be better taking an online class. I had Mansoor Khan for History form 1877 and though Im normally a Straight A with the occasional B student and I barley passed this class with a D. He is a very tough grader and not very helpful. Please choose different professor.
He's a very hard professor. I found his tests to be exceptionally difficult. Those two things in themselves wouldn't necessarily be bad, but the problem I have with him is that he deducted points on an assignment of mine for a reason that wasn't in the instructions, and when I asked him about it his response was contradictory to his syllabus.
Professor Khan comes off very strong the first week of class. Every chapter has a homework assignment Not very hard to do but does require searching for answers. There're 11 homework assignments, 9 video assignments, 3 tests, 3 papers, and a powerpoint presentation. Khan is not a tough grader. He does expect you to come to class & hates lateness.
I took Professor Khan's class over the summer, and he is one of my favorite teachers I've had. It's a 12 week course, and there really isn't too much homework. What you get is easy and quick(book is a must). He is very positive, enthusiastic and gives feedback about things that would need it. Would definitely recommend, at least for online.
Mr. Khan is an excellent professor. He cares about his students and is always willing to help. He is a very positive person. For me, English is a second language; sometimes it's hard to understand parts of the lecture, but Mr. Khan is very understanding and is always there to help. Do your homework and take lecture notes!
This course wasnt that hard, but it was boring. His teaching is overall boring. Also attendance matters. He gets a little upset even if u leave just a bit early. This class is easy though, but there are many hw assignments.
If you have good time management skills and study habits, he will be your new favorite teacher. Weekly homework and a handful of larger projects, but none is particularly hard and he grades gently, just try to put a little thought into things. Lots of extra credit opportunities; Im approaching finals with a 103% overall grade. Loved this class.
This class is definitely one of the most boring and pointless classes I've ever taken. He gives a homework assignment where you analyze a piece of art every week and the book you use for it doesn't make sense. He also likes to stare into your soul while he's lecturing, so if you don't like that, you wont like him.
I had him for themes in humanities which was analyzing the Bible so be aware of that. It was an extremely boring class for me. We had writing assignments due every week that he barely gave us enough information for to complete. He also marked you absent for being less than 5 minutes late which he then took off points for. Very easy though.
I enjoyed Khans class up, he was a good teacher, as well as nice. There is a lot of homework, but its easy... just time consuming. All his tests were easy and I scored an A on all of them. There are some extra credit opportunities that will help if you do them. He is lecture heavy but not powerpoint based. A lot classes were watching videos.
The class was pretty easy, but I did not like Mr. Khan at all. I was never on my phone but he would point out and pick on students who "Weren't giving him enough attention." The homework was time consuming and a bit of a waste of time. The class is an easy A but I wouldn't recommend him because he doesn't teach any of the material on tests.
He is a good teacher but anyone can tell his opinions on topics and the chapters he favors he will go more in depth. The were some chapters in the course he barely touched upon however these still showed up on the tests. He lectures every class and stares into your eyes when speaking. It's a very easy class if you're passionate about art and music.
He was very fun and made class enjoyable. Homework is so easy, just make sure you do it to have an A. Two essays whole semester, I highly recommend you take his class!
The best teacher honestly. As long as you show up and do the work you will be fine.
Professor Khan is definitely one of my favorite professors Ive had! His lectures are long but never boring. Homework is easy and so are tests if you study the material. He even has a few extra credit opportunities, such as presenting your online project to the class, which I did and he gave great feedback. Just dont get on your phone during class
Mostly graded on participation in class discussions. Midterm is a paper you have to write in class so make sure you know what you're talking about, class is very boring but fairly easy.
He is by far the best history teacher at eastern Florida. Points are given in small increments throughout each week so if u miss something its not hard to pull your grade back up. I took this class online and it was the best experience Ive had yet. Id take any class he offers even as an elective.
Professor Khan was awesome and always gave great feedback on assignments! He is organized and makes assignments very clear. I took his class online and really enjoyed it.
I took this course online and found it very easy and laid back. The only things that you are graded on are weekly discussion questions (In my expirience, I was always given full points if I just answered the question fully and on time), a couple essays throughout the year to meet the writing requirement, and the exams (also very easy).
I love this professor! He is very nice and interested in helping his students excel. Weekly discussion, some quizzes and you just have to read from the book for credit. He offers extra credit assignments and shows true passion to teaching his students. Easy final exam. I wish I could give him a rating of 1,000! Take him if you're able to!
Very easy class and truly cares about his students. Would give free points just by reading the chapter and writing complete on the assignments. Such a good professor. Two essays which were easy. Great class!
This professor was really nice and considerate if you forgot to turn in an assignment. The class isn't really that hard he has us read a page from our class book on a weekly basis. As well as has us do weekly discussions for attendance, on some you have to reply to other students and for others you do not. Two essays are given throughout the course
This is the easiest teacher to take any class with. Everything is super clear, no homework, easy online quizzes. He cares about his student's greatly.
This professor is fantastic! He gives weekly discussions which were easy, 3 to 5 sentences each. The two papers were very simple & short. No tests nor quizzes. 2 exams which weren't proctored. I finished a point away from an A & he bumped me up to an A because I did well in his class! I promise you will not find a better history professor!
Professor Khan is very passionate about history, attentive and responds to weekly chapter discussions with everyone. Provides videos. The discussions are a big part of the grade but he was fair and provided great feedback! There were 2 MLA papers-follow all the instructions given. Reading is heavy but prepares you for the final very well.
Take him if you can! One of the best teachers I've had! He is understanding and caring, if you happened to not turn in a assignment, no matter the date, he will re-open it. Essay is easy, very few quizzes, pay attention during lectures, and do the work. Most of the time he will automatically give a 100 to DPs if you covered all the instructions! :)
Very easy grader, easy A as long as you do the reading plan and do the essays. The essays are easy, not very long and slightly interesting.
Great professor! Explained the material so well, helped whenever needed, encouraged the students a lot and put much effort to make it a good, stressless semester!
Professor Khan was great. I took the class to fulfill my Civic Literacy requirement, and it was fairly easy. There were 2 papers due throughout the semester. All reading was done online, but it was a lot to know. Midterm/final was pretty easy, and discussion boards weren't that difficult. I'd recommend him to anyone seeking to take the class.
He is an amazing professor and I will be taking him again next semester. I have passed with flying colors to my surprise. There are weekly discussion boards. There are also study plan readings which are an automatic 5/5. Exams are super easy if you pay attention. And the feedback he gives is very nice and encouraging. He's always happy to help.
This is my second semester of taking AMH by Professor Khan and yet again, he is really great!! The weekly assignments are relatively easy, with discussion boards and the study plans. Keep in mind that there's lots of reading to be done in this class, and the essays weren't too difficult as long as you properly take the time to write/research them.
I will be taking Professor Khan for any future history classes! Midterm and final are not proctored and he wants you to succeed so you may use your notes. He responds quickly and is super caring. Weekly reading that is graded for participation and 2 papers during the semester. He is active in discussion boards and gets involved with his students!
Great teacher! Super passionate about the topics covered and loves to engage with the class. 2 papers in the semester but super easy and you choose your topics. Quiz after every module and participation is graded. Super lecture heavy so make sure you take notes!!! Very kind and understanding. A great teacher, I'm definitely going to take him again.
Class is simple. Weekly readings and a discussion with some "study plan" homework. Three essays (one is the midterm), and one test/final exam with multiple attempts. Professor Khan is always respectful and looking after the students in the class, understanding if issues arise. Just do the work in this class and you'll get an A, not hard at all.
Prof Khan is one of the best teachers. He did not assign much homework, quizzes were online, a couple easy essays, and the final was a piece of cake. Only part I did not like which was attendance was for a grade, and being an 8am class, it was hard for me, but he was also understanding on why I could not attend every single one. Def recommend!
Easy class. Used the textbook but its tiny and honestly was not bad. Lectures were super boring and easy to fall asleep in, but he tried. Attendance wasn't necessarily mandatory cause I took it hybrid so as long as you were keeping up, he was fine with it. Didn't care the few times I showed up late. Great teacher.
I wish I could take him again for AMH2020. The only downside is there is a lot of reading but the assignments are easy and quick. Defiantly recommend him if you can get into his class!
This professor is extremely passive aggressive. Loves to call out students for doing normal things like blowing their nose. Hallucinates cellphones. Class was easy but in general not a nice man.
Absolutely love prof. khan!! His class is super lecture heavy, he kinda just rambles about the topics (and occasionally goes off on a tangent). There are lots of material posted on canvas but it tends to be mostly additional information/resources rather than what you would get through the lecture. Quizzes every 2 modules, 2 papers & take home final.
Great professor
Took him for humanities and American history. Great professor, very passionate when teaching lecture. The homework assignments are easy to complete and the essays are of very interesting topics that are enjoyable to research. He finds ways to slip in some creativity of his during classes and he can also review your essays during his office hours.
I would highly suggest taking his humanities class! He likes when you talk in class and are not on your phone. Other than that, the class is super easy if you pay attention and take notes!
His class was boring but easy. The class was graded off six open note/at-home quizzes, and a partially at-home final. He gets annoyed if you don't pay attention and respond to in-class questions based on the lecture, but overall easy class.
Professor Khan makes history engaging. With easy assignments and great feedback, the class was a breeze. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for prepping the exams! Highly recommend this course.
Professor Khan was an amazing professor, and I would definitely take his class again! Your grade is based on quizzes from each module, and a couple essays, but the guidelines are clear, and you can retake the quizzes up to three times, in which he'll save the highest grade. He cares about his students, and is a fun professor to have in class!
Well paced lectures. Notes are very important. most quizzes can be taken twice. Easy papers. Overall great professor.
I just finished the 6-week summer class online, and it was very easy. The class consisted of 10 discussion boards, one midterm, one essay, and a final. The essay is simple, and you get to pick a movie to talk about. The final is simply creating a quiz based on the modules you have read about. I 100% recommend this teacher for humanities!!
Notes are very important, Easy papers, most of the quizzes could be taken again. Overall great professor and class.
Professor Khan was the best professor I have had at EFSC yet. He is an active teacher leading to actual education, beyond that he was extremely understanding when needed which I value extremely as its rare in a college setting. Grading was fair and professor Khan was readily available for assistance. A great professor I hope to have again.
I took this online and it was an amazing class. 10/10. Khan is an awesome teacher. There were a few essays but they were super easy and there was a great extra credit assignment.
