Professor Farhat is very thorough. He challenges and motivates the class. Be prepared for each class, and be ready to put some time in! If you are looking for an easy grade, do not take this course. But if you want a challenge and enjoy accounting, he is highly recommended!

I agree that you must be up for the challenge and willing to put the time in. He is a great teacher,keeps you interested and motivated to want to understand...and work hard at figuring it out if you don't understand right away. He is very thorough,making sure everything is very clear before moving on. I wish they'd all teach like him!

mr. farhat is a best accounting instructor i ever had. i took an acct 101 in spring 2009 and got an A in that course just because i was able to understand my course very well, just because of him.

A great professor with a true love and enthusiasm for his field of expertise. When a professor loves what he teaches, he tends to communicate better and thus help students learn better. Professor Farhat does just that. He has a detailed nature and designs his lesson plan in such a way to communicate the information in the best way to the students.

Excellent professor. Adjusts teaching style to class. Gives real life illustrations to help understand principles. Topic is not an easy one, but he gives lots of tips to help you through. Even if this is not your major, you need to put some time to practice the concepts and pull an acceptable grade.

Prof. Farhat is very enthusiastic about acct. He is infectious. Class participation helps the student feel intelligent, and Prof. Farhat is easy to join in conversation. He also seems to enjoy each student as a person and encourages them to see into "his" world. Five stars.

Keeps the subject interesting which is helpful in learning this subject. Very intense course. He is great at making sure you understand something before moving on. However, I wish there was more time to spend on the last chapters before the final, but overall great class thanks to Prof. Farhat!

I am surprised at how much I enjoyed this class because the material is not that easy to get through. Professor Farhats method of teaching was both helpful and engaging. He kept me motivated and kept my interest up.. I would absolutely recommend him and his class.

Great instructor, Mr. Farhat takes what could be a very dry and boring subject and makes it interesting. You will have to be prepared to so some work but you will enjoy his class.

Very knowledgable in his field. He keeps the class interested by interjecting real-like situations. This is a tough subject, but testing and grading was very fair. I would reccommend this prof. to anyone taking accounting classes.

Professor Farhat is an amazing teacher for a few reasons. He has a master's degree in accounting and has held (and is still currently holding) jobs in the field. He uses many real world examples to define every piece of the course that we are taught. His knowledge of the accounting world is truly impressive.

Professor was professional, straight shooter, informative and very knowledgeable during the semester.

Professor is highly motivated to teach the material in a way that can be applied to real world approaches. Accounting is an extremely demanding class. Only take it if you're serious about learning it. Farhat is a fair grader, so don't blame him if you are not willing to put the work into learning accounting. Class was relaxed and laid back!

I would easily recommend him to any prospective student. Although his recorded lectures tend to be useful, he is at his best live in the classroom.

I heard this class was gonna be hard going in, but Prof. Farhat really made it easy, he took a great deal of time making sure everyone understood what they were going to be tested on. He also taught me a lot about how to be smart with money in outside of the accounting world. I actually looked forward to coming to this class, that's not easy to do

Professor Farhat's class was interesting, informative, and a good deal of work. I learned a great deal in his class, and I am taking the follow-up course to this one in a week and I can say that I feel well prepared and confident going into that course. He made the materials relevant and extremely applicable regarding the subject of accounting.

Ok, not sure if my last rating when through. So take 2. Professor Farhat's class was a great introduction course for accounting. I will take the follow-up course in a week and can say that I feel confident and well informed to take it. Professor Farhat, is not only a great teacher, but a tremendous individual as well. Financial Accounting I was a class that I wasn't looking forward to and was a bit apprehensive in taking. Professor Farhat made a tremendous difference for me. He made sure that we understood the concepts being taught and related them to the real world. He actively involved the class which helped to reinforce what we were learning. Outstanding!

Professor Mansour is everything a teacher should be. He took accounting and made it interesting for everyone by relating it to real life. He finds a way to teach to everyone. He offers online lectures, in class teaching, time before or after class & external links. His communication and passion for the teaching environment is what sets him apart.

Professor Farhat was a really interesting individual, with lots of knowledge, humor, teaching prowess, and social skills. Not only was he a glowing person, but he also made every effort in the sun to provide each student with any number of learning resources and tools. He even posted lectures online, for people who missed class. Hes great!

Professor Farhat has a great understanding of accounting and teaches with much passion. His teaching techniques keeps you focused with welcoming breaks of humor. On-line lectures were very helpful. Class material was challenging but if you attend class and use all the resources Professor Farhat offers you'll be fine.

I highly recommend this professor. He is a really good teacher. He knows the area of accounting really well. He gave a lot of practical examples and how to use the material in the real world, which makes it really interesting and you are able to apply what you've learned. You have to pay attention and study a lot if you want to pass though.

Took an income tax course with Professor Farhat Spring 2012. Kept the class alive. You got to read your book, complete the quizzes, homework, income tax return etc. I highly recommend him.

Took this professor for both financial accounting 1 and 2. He cares about your sucess in class, at college and your future. He tells you right up front that you have to put the time in on your homework, studying and in class and that if you do you will suceed. He loves accounting and it's practical applications. Glad I took these classes from him.

I would recommend this teacher to anyone who wants to succeed in the field of accounting what who has a passion for learning and for any major out there. Prof. Farhat cares about his students and does a lot to see them succeed at what they put there hands to. He is very motivational, knowledgeable, funny, and a great teacher(leader).

Very good professor! Learned so much in his class. I had a 12 yr gap between accounting 1 and accounting 2 and I was able to keep up and do well! I would recommend him to any future student.

This course was challenging and difficult to understand some chapters, but with Prof. Farhat's knowledge of the subject he explained the chapters well and made everything crystal clear. He gave all the help needed to pass the course and to excel in future classes. I'm extremely grateful to have him and I would recommend him to anyone who works hard

This professor is the only reason I passed accounting. I chose to take accounting 101 instead of the lesser course for non accountants, the material is hard but Professor Farhat makes sure you understand and makes himself available if you need him.I would recommend this professor to anyone taking this course.

This is a difficult course, but Farhat was extremely helpful. He stressed the need for being in class, and in case you couldn't make it all of the lectures were posted on blackboard to make it possible to catch up or review. I strongly recommend him!

I enjoyed this class very much. The Professor highlights topics with real world information taken right from the internet. That is a rare experience that i've noticed. My only regret is that I didn't have him as my professor in the first part of this class!! I would recommend him to anyone and regret that I won't have anymore classes with him.

He is a very helpful teacher. You can quickly get your grade after you take test. There are records on Blackboard. If you miss classes or you dont understand some chapter, the records are very helpful for you.

Professor Farhat is a great instructor! The material is naturally hard, but he is always available for help to students and teaches in a clear and informative manner. If you choose to take accounting, be sure to take him.

There was once or twice where I forgot the homework was due and he reopened it for me so I could have another chance. He tells you what will be on the tests and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Highly recommended!

One of the best professors you will ever have. Extremely helpful and enthusiastic about the subject. As long as you get ready for the class, you will do great. He offers online lectures as an extra study tool which has helped tremendously. He will make your learning experience enjoyable. Very thoughtful and understandning! You will not regret!!

I am taking this class as a a refresher course, I am glad that I got Professor Farhat. He provides both excellent in class teaching, and has excellent lectures online. I am learning far more from him than the first time I took this class a long time ago. If you put the work in, you will do well in his class.

Really understands course material, and makes great effort to help students learn more about the subject matter. Not a lot of time given on exams and tests, but I still learn and can understand course material better than at my other school. Enjoyed being a part of his class. Students are not afraid to ask questions after class.

Professor Farhat is a GRATE professor.EXTREMLY knowledgeable, Very helpful, detailed and Cristal clear. He walks you through the course online with his lectures.He loves accounting. This class is NOT an easy A by a long shot, there are a lot of connect assignments,HOWEVER if you put the time into it you should have no problem getting an A. I did!

I could not have asked for a better professor to introduce me into the world of accounting. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and goes the extra mile to help a student in need. Bottom line, if you plan on trying to "coast" through this course,it will not work. If you do the work and STUDY, this professor will make sure you succeed.

Professor Farhat is the best professor i have dealt with since attending college. He uses modern technology like youtube and voice recordings to ensure each student has the tools available if the text is not immediately understood. Professor Farhat goes out of his way to make the class room setting comfortable and exciting to attend.

Mr. Farhat is pristine in his approach to the course.If You study the material,You will Pass.Plain an simple!I missed a lot of Classes due to injury but still was able to get an A in the course because I did the work. Mr. Farhat also places lectures, notes, and power points online. There is no reason to Fail This course with Mr Farhat at the helm!

If you are taking an Accounting Class at Northampton, this is the professor you want to have. He gives you online tutorials and also many examples to help you along the way. Grant it this is not an easy course but you will get all the tools you need to succeed provided you put in the time required to better yourself in the class. Recommended!

I would highly recommend him for any of his classes. He has recorded lectures which are easy to follow and helpful. Test are hard, but easy if you take some time to study. Homework is fairly easy and doesn't take a lot of time. I took his class online and it was just like I was in the classroom

I never took any of his classes but watched his you tube videos for my Intermediate 1 and 2. I learnt much from him than from my actual instructors. Great job. Please keep posting your you tube videos.

Take him whether you like accounting or do not. Seriously the best teacher ever. It is a tough class and he makes you work but he made me even enjoy accounting and that says a lot. You will gain great respect from him if you work hard. If he taught every class to get a BA in accounting I would major in it. Seriously.

I hate accounting but I had to take it for my major. I took it my first semester with a different professor and had to withdrawal because I was failing. I took it again with professor Farhat and got a B. It's still hard but as long as you have time for the class and do your work you'll pass. He puts so much stuff online to help you study.

I took him last semester and now i'm taking him online. he is really good teacher, he provides you a lot of things so you can study and understand materials, he is very clear teacher. I really recommend him!

I had Professor Farhat for two semesters, Accounting 1 & 2. He goes over the material in depth and very clearly. He will answer any questions you have about any of the problems, homework assignments, and he reviews the test as well. People say he's a hard professor but he teaches you everything needed. You have to study if you want to pass.

Professor Farhat is an excellent teacher, willing to help his students and providing multiple sources of help online to allow students to learn in the way that works best for them.

Great professor will help if you ask if you don't ask then don't expect any thing. if person missed a class have youtube video that would cover the class that you missed

Professor Farhat is as straightforward as it gets, from day 1 he earned respect from students by giving what I would call a reality check. It was well received by most, and those that didn't like what he had to say were gone by mid semester. Bottom line, this is accounting! Of course you're going to have extensive homework. There are only 4 tests.

I had no real issue with his class except for the fact he lied to us all in the very beginning.

Professor Farhat is fair, honest and fully details what is expected of his students from the very first day of class. You must come to class, do all homework assignments in order to succeed in this class. He provides all types of additional resources, like youtube lectures in order to review concepts that you may need additional help with. Great!

Really lays out what is expected of you in his class. He repeatedly goes over what is necessary to succeed in his class because he has the success of his students as a top goal. He knows what hes talking about and he was once a student at NCC so I feel he is a top professor at this school. Would reccomend if you want to really learn accounting.

This is my 3rd class (2nd online) w/ Prof. Farhat and I knew what to expect. He provides You Tube lectures for all his courses and plenty of practice homework. If you're lazy and just think you'll skate through his accounting classes, you're in for a rude awakening. If you want to succeed, plan to go to the Learning Center 1x per week to keep up.

I'm currently taking intermediate accounting 2 at another university and his videos really help with some of the complicated topics that I am struggling with. It's nice to have an outside source that post such helpful videos. Thanks Farhat

He is smart, try to help you out, easy to get an A if you do all homework and quiz,1 group project, 3 tests. He's good in technology, gives you example right away,.. very recommend to take his course. would like to take him again!

I'm taking this course at another uni. Our prof just reads through the slides. Farhat really explains things. You have no idea how much a difference there is between how clearly he describes it and how poorly others do. I stopped attending my own lectures and just started listening to Farhat's. Huge improvement in grade. A++ You do gods work.

Prof Farhat explains the topics very clearly. Its great that he wants to share his knowledge and puts all his lectures online on youtube

I took three classes with prof. Farhat and I'm hoping to get my last accounting elective class with him. You can see that he truly loves teaching, his youtube videos are amazing. They helped me a lot because I had to study online and did not always understand the textbook. His videos and numerous examples in those videos make studying a breeze.

I am from Canada currently taking Intermediate Accounting 2. We have a great prof but I missed the first class and wanted a live instruction for the basics of the chapter. Prof. Farhat's youtube videos made my life easy. Thanks from Canada, Professor!

Guy really knows his stuff. Amazing Youtube lectures which help explain the chapters much better than the dry book. Tests are library proctored and the only real downside is that he has zero interaction during the semester and also may not respond when you send him an email. Still worth taking his class.

Professor does not interact with the class at all and watching five year old youtube videos that do not necessarily match up with what's in the current textbook is a little rough but not too bad. Note that what he referenced would be on tests/final exam was not always accurate. Hard to study for things you aren't told about.

Professor Farhat was a great professor! His class had a somewhat heavy work load but he gave plenty of time and lots of extra credit. There is a group project as well but it is on everything you learned in lesson 1! He acts intimidating but he is not the slightest.
