Great teacher. Really helps you through the class. A lot of work at once, but he will decrease the amount of homework if you tell him its too much. All tests are SUPER easy Multiple choice and true and false.
Overall a great teacher, really makes sure you understand. Gives a lot of work but is lenient with homework. Read the book and the notes and the tests are extremely easy.
Solid guy, solid class. Show up to class, take a few notes, laugh at that girl in the front of the class thats always asking dumb questions, Sicre is laughing at all of us on the inside, muahahaha

Prof. Sicre is the MAN! He is very funny and gives great examples from real life which makes it easy to understand the material. He is awlays joking around with somebody so even if you don't feel like listening you'll end up listening just cause he is so funny! I had never though about majoring in accounting until I took him! What a great guy!
Great professor!!! I came to class just to hear his jokes. Pretty easy tests for a difficult subject. He gives great lectures. I would definitely take him again. Highly highly recommended!
This dude is the man, awesome f'ing teacher, very helpful makes an otherwise unbearable subject fun to learn. i actually wanted to go to his class and i hate accounting so it speaks volumes, his tests aren't always cake but if you put some effort and thought into it you'll be fine.

Awesome teacher, a typical miami cuban guy, he has a bit of an accent, but flawless vocabulary. Just goes off the PPT, all the tests are MC. Very simple class, very easy to do good in, just skim the text, and study the PPT's.
He is rude and belittling. He does not help you improve your grade and is not helpful when you ask questions.
I was completely surprised with these good reviews. He is extremely mean and difficult! He is never available to help and if you ask any question he will embarrass you in front of the class! worst class I've ever taken.

Got the grade! Not easy but Sicre met with me outside of regular class a couple of times and that helped me a lot. Funny but strict at times. I liked him and the class.
Cool class. A lot of work but professor tried very hard to make it interesting and gave real-life examples. Was there when I needed help. I recommend him.
Clear lecture, helpful
Just had 1st exam. The average grade is 80. Kinda hard exam, as he said, the exams would be harder... He always wants to help students, but sometimes he couldn't understand what you try to ask... Notes are pretty clear and helpful. You need to read book by yourself and do all homework he requires. which has to be done by handwriting, not typing.
Wish I appreciated him more when I had him. Got an A but I really earned it, he helped me get there too. I miss Manny.
Great professor who encourages you to ask and he will make sure you understand it. Although with little accent, he's lecture is pretty clear and helpful.

Fantastic professor. I left this class with a great understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, and a bigger love for accounting. Pay attention to what he says. He hates repeating himself about things like when homework is due, what you need to bring to the exam, etc. He does not curve, but you shouldn't need that anyway. Easy class!
He is a really good professor and is very clear in his lectures. It was a tough class but the financial accounting material is difficult none the less, regardless of the teacher you have. He is always willing to help you in and outside of class and wants the class to do well. He may call on you in class but he has a good sense of humor

Great professor. Very clear in his lectures and is always willing to help out his students and pushes everyone to do well. It is not an easy class but he has a hilarious sense of humor and makes the class very enjoyable. I HIGHLY reccomend him
He is the man, take him! hysterical sense of humor, but if you're an insecure and extremely shy person who can't take a joke or talk in class I wouldn't take him

I have no idea why this man is rated highly. I'm in his audit class, and i can honestly say he is the worst ACC professor I have taken. He seems like he's knowledgeable but it's all BS. We get SO much busy work for an upper-level class, and he treats us like middle schoolers. He's lazy and knows nothing so he gives us assignments to occupy time.

He speeds through his lectures, but will definitely go back or elaborate on something if you ask questions. He takes attendance every class on a sign-in sheet. The homework and building blocks project are easy. The test can be VERY tough. You need to study and go through SEVERAL examples to do well on the tests.

Manny is a great guy, very dead pan and funny, and EXTREMELY concerned that all his students learn the material and succeed. That being said, he can be very challenging, but that's because believes his students are capable so he sets the bar high.
Tougher than a normal class but it curves to be about the same final grade wise. As for the professor, probably the best teacher I have ever had. Pushes you to learn, and frankly you will actually learn the material. He is a great dude too - crazy smart. Refuses to go on unless he is sure everyone gets it (will call on you a lot). Take him.
He's always willing to help you either in class if you don't get something or during his office hours if you need more clarification. He wants you to succeed. Just show him you are willing to put in the effort. Go to class and participate. Practice from the book exercises, that's where he gets the tests from.

Lectures are very unclear even though he makes a big effort to make sure nobody has questions. He focuses on clarifying topics that most students understand but not the ones that are misunderstood by most students. He moves very fast and most of his lectures consist of doing practice problems by yourself. Not an easy A for accounting.
Definitely pushes students to learn and addresses questions but is NOT clear during lectures. Spends most of lecture time doing practice problems that are difficult to understand even after a lesson is taught. Be prepared to read the whole book and teach yourself everything. Very difficult for an intro course.
Sicre is a funny guy who wants his students to do well and understand the material. He refuses to move on if someone doesn't understand something; he really puts an emphasis on how important it is to ask when confused. Great lecturer and goes over problems in class. Would definitely take again.
Speeds through lecture and pretends that students will know everything right away. He teaches through questions. He makes you work on questions from the book in class. Attendance is mandatory. Tests are based on formulas and math problems, almost no theory questions. Homework every week. Did not like his teaching method.
Prof. Sicre is a good man in person. Kinda have a good sense of humorous. However, he makes this course way too challenging. Be prepared to read and do all the practices. Would not take his class again.
i AM A HUGE FAN OF PROFESSOR SICRE
Extremely easy class if you're a business student. If you're not, its self explanatory and common sensical. If you don't show up to class as 80% of people don't, expect to be ridiculed when you show up for tests. EASY.
DO NOT take ACC212 with him. He speeds through lectures. If you miss one class you wont know whats going on in the next. His first two tests are semi straightforward if you study, but the final is extremely long and tedious. Avoid if you can, there are other 212 professors much easier.
ACC212 is an extremely difficult class with him. I have a 3.87 GPA so I consider myself a good student that work really hard, however this class has been impossible for me. I do all the HW and the textbook problems and his tests are impossible. Test is EXTREMELY LONG. The final was 65 questions! I would definitely NOT take anymore classes with him
Likable and charismatic person. But unfortunately Professor Sicre will spend every class meticulously defining very simple terms or doing practice problems that are blatantly not relevant to his exams. When exams, come he has given no preparation. Additionally, he has failed to solve any problems I ever presented to him during his office hours.
This class was not an easy A. You have to work for it but Professor Sicre helps you a lot outside the classroom and he is always there to answer questions. If you work hard and go to him in the beginning of the semester wanting an A, he will help guide you there. Would take him again!
Sicre is an awesome professor. His class isn't easy but if you study, you'll get an A. I didn't pay attention in class much but I retyped and studied his powerpoints and ended up with a B+. If you miss a test, it's not the end of the world; if you have a good excuse he'll work with you to make it up.
I can not say how he is for the other classes he teaches, but for BUS201 he was extremely easy in my opinion. The exams were very straight forward and often included problems nearly identical to some HW problems. However, he is not the best teacher and is very unclear with directions and explaining simple concepts. Pretty funny guy though overall
Ridiculously easy class for upperclassman business students. Probably still easy for everybody else. Really useful class for personal finance that gets you prepared for being financially independent. Test questions are identical to homework with only one or two curveballs per exam. Homework is easy. Can't recommend this class and professor enough.
If you are reading this! For your own sake and peace of mind don't take him! For the following reasons: Tests don't match practice quizes and homework questions. When confronted, the fault is ours not his, "he told us in class." (never). Very rude, on occasion, and complicates very easy terminology.
Never taken a finance course and was pretty confused. Sicre is a funny and nice guy but practically yells at students to ask questions. Lectures sometimes have nothing to do with tests. Test questions are directly from homework and practice quizzes and most of the questions are online. You can get an A if you study.
I like him as a person, but not the best at teaching. When I ask him questions he often doesn't even understand what I'm asking. We have a big project and he did not explain it at all, we just had to figure it out ourselves. Does little to no practice before exams. The course itself is pretty difficult.

There is not much work for the class, a 15 question homework in the book for each chapter. If you meet with him during office hours he will help you, he wants everyone to succeed in his class and is willing to help everyone. You will have to work for a good grade
Professor Sicre is the simply the greatest. Most fun Ive had in any course. If you study and attend class regularly you can count on an A. Hes super funny and understanding and he will give you the benefit of the doubt. Take this course, you will not regret it. Best professor. Great learning valuable real-life content as well. Sicre is a super cool guy. Super nice. He's a little boring but he's a solid teacher for sure.
He's a nice guy, but he is disorganized(something that comes at the expense of students). The tests are difficult because he sends a "study guide" that is stuff that may come on the test, but it's pretty useless since it's extremely general and things outside the guide are on the test. Makes simple terms difficult, accounting is hard enough as is.
I didn't like his class. everyone says he's very funny and nice, which is true. but he goes so fast. He never clearly says what's going to be on the test. He's not the worst professor I've ever had but compared to my friends, he has harder tests and a teaching style compared to other accounting classes.
Prof. Sicre is a really great guy. While I feel like I struggled in the class when I shouldn't have, he was always looking for a way to help out. Do the homework questions to study for the exams, they are almost word for word. He sometimes gets annoyed with people not asking questions but all in all, he is a great man and very well-liked.
Skipped 2 classes, one of them being the only one in 2 weeks and right before our 2nd exam to play golf. The review he sends out is not specific and half isn't even on the exam. He is so rude and just a grumpy old man. Get ready to teach yourself for hours outside of class if you want above a C.

Really hard class. If you want to take ACC211 with him make sure to NOT skip class. All his test are multiple choice but aren't easy. Make sure to always pay attention when he speaks in class

This class is not hard. There is never any homework except some ridiculously easy online assessments that take maybe 10 mins and you get unlimited chances to correct your answers. Prof Sicre is funny and a good dude. Format of class is straight lectures so it can be boring at times but overall I would take this class if you need an easy cognate.

Sicre is a good teacher IMO but not a fav of others. Took him for 211 and 212. Your grade is made up of 2 projects, 3 exams and HW that is easy points. Attendance isn't mandatory but go so you can follow along. Hes tough but he truly does care for his students and does all that he can so that we succeed.
guy is straight up disrespectful and acts like theres nothing wrong with failing his class and taking him again. literally nothing he does in class is on the test and he explains everything in the way that he understands but no one else does. try to avoid him at all costs. lowkey funny tho.
Dr. Sicre is a chiller. Funny too. The class is not a joke tho despite my advisor and UM claiming it's an easy intro. He's great but his teaching isn't for everyone and u 100% have to focus and study HW. He can go over crucial material insanely fast and then demand we ask questions but sometimes it's hard to cuz u don't even know wtf just happened
Super chill funny teacher took him for 211 and 212. You have to study for his tests but he will work with you, is understanding, and does not want to see his students fail.
His exams are more difficult than what he does in class. Also he cares less about you so dont bother to ask for help
Not the worst but would not take his class again. Reads straight from the slides and yells to ask questions but goes through everything so fast. Had to teach myself everything. Tests like the homework, but I would not say this is an easy A. Making sure I don't have him for accounting, as this has been my least favorite class/professor this semester
Sicre isn't everyones favorite but IMO he tries to balance being kind but also pushing you to understand the content. He provides you topics to review for both exams and the final and the 2 exams were similar to the Mcgraw Hill practice q's. He really wants people to pass and be comfortable, could be so much worse, taking him for acc212 100%
He's a tough guy but occasionally throws a joke or two in. I taught myself everything in the class by reading the textbook, I don't think you'll do so well going off his slides. So important to pay attention in class or u can fall behind quickly. Also not afraid to cold call which can be painful
Sicre makes what is inevitably a boring class much more fun and engaging. Definitely take this class if you like asking questions, he strongly encourages it and never makes anyone feel dumb. Practice tests are exactly like the actual test. If you go to class and take the practice tests repeatedly then you should get an A.

He was okay— lecture based, 75% of your grade is exams so you have to do well. Can be intense at times, but he does care for all his students. He will work with you to help you understand. However, he is an acquired taste..

Here is his teaching style, if it works for you take him, if it doesn't maybe reconsider: Sicre doesn't really necessarily teach during class, rather he wants you to ask questions. This means you need to know the material before coming to class, mainly from reading the textbook. Exams are easy if you grind out the study guide.
Absolutely the worst professor I've ever taken at the University. He does not teach at all, only 3 exams all graded heavily, get ready to be surprised by your grade at the end of the semester, and no matter how hard you try, you will barely pass. Decided to also give an exam worth 22% after 4 weeks of not having class due to him cancelling.
Sicre is the goat. He's the best professor at the U. He cares about every single student and does everything in his power to make sure his students succeed and in out of the classroom. Class act. Couldn't recommend Sicre enough. Take his classes.
I wouldn't recommend this teacher. His tests are extremely difficult and he doesnt teach well. He bases his lecture off of us asking questions instead of him teaching. Tests are not what we do in class, and his makeup policy doesn't allow for any students to makeup a test, no matter if there is an emergency or not
Professor Sicre is nice guy overall but HORRIBLE professor, all he does is want you to ask questions and then gets frustrated when people do not understand his explanations. There is zero extra credit... do not ask for it he will just get angry. Take any other professor over him, this course should be an easy A however is now going to ruin my GPA.
Prof Sicre can be a nice guy but can also come across as mean and angry. Although his class time can feel useful I find most of the time I end up teaching myself. I took Prof Fonsecca for 211 and he was fantastic. Id look around at other professors before I would take Sicre. All in all. I would not take him again.

The work itself and the topics are not difficult at all, but he is genuinely one of the worst teachers i've ever had. he didn't explain concepts at all and would rush through things and then just ask the class to ask their questions - without explaining how to do them. i did well in his class bc i just taught myself everything but don't take him
He's the boy. You have to show up if you want a good grade and the material is not easily understood, but Sicre is a great professor and had me cracking up every class. He's stubborn and the class is definitely not easy. But I actually learned everything in the class and he's easily one of the best profs at UM.

This class was made so much more complicated than it needed to be. Just honestly unenjoyable.
I am not sure why he has so many bad reviews. Homework counts for a large portion of your grade and is a free and easy 100%, and for the exams he gives you practice questions that are exactly like what is asked on the exam. Do not be afraid because of the other reviews, if you care about your grades and have two working braincells you will do well.

Prof Sicre is a nice guy and very funny in class but compared to the rest of the accounting DEPT, he is defiantly the hardest prof to take.
Prof Sicre is hilarious and genuinely caring. His sense of humor made the class enjoyable, and he always made sure students felt supported. He would make sure to always answer questions that anyone had during class. Make sure to do the homework and put in effort to study, don't fall behind. One of the best classes I've taken, highly recommend!
He is always telling people to ask questions, it gets annoying and makes people not want to participate. Also he contradicts himself half the time and makes a lot of mistakes. Clearly his cognitive skills are declining.

He is the WORST professor to exist at the University of Miami. A disgrace that he's even part of this establishment. He is condescending, rude, and overall a mean person. He makes awful jokes, no one laughs and he loves to belittle people. Take anyone other than him.
He is one of the hardest professors, but honestly if you act like you care he will be nice to you. The tests are lowkey brutal though, especially since there are only three and they are the only things that count towards your grade.

Class is not too bad, lectures are kinda boring and thats all he does. gets mad if you don't participate, but says that he just wants us to learn. Grade is based off mostly two midterms and one final, just review the homeworks and practice quizzes since he just copy and pastes those questions as test, no need to actually study the terms. EZ A tho
