Funny Prof. She has poor notes but if you study A LOT you will do great.
Hehe she is great, marks easy. is usally willing to help you. :)
Notes are not helpful... can't answer questions worth a darn. Tests aren't too difficult though
No Comments
Study a lot on your own to do great. She is willinf to help you and explains concepts clearly.
Do suggested questions and old exams and you will do great. Notes aren't so good but other than that she's a good prof. Very encouraging and willing to help, wants you to do well. Has a bit of an accent but you get used of it.
Don't bother going to the lecture. Teach yourself from the text and you will do fine.
horrible teacher, never ever want to see that face again.. she treats you accordingly to what your status is in class doing good loves you doing poorly ignores you like no tommorw. shouldn't it be the other way around?
Loves to favor students. Makes students feel really dumb and embarasses them infront of the class. Loves to roll her eyes (very unprofessional don't ya think?). Won't help you if need help, she jus ignores u and walks away.
She is patient with students and is approachable. I went to her office many times and she was always willing to help me understand the material.
Terrible teacher. Favourtism and confusion are her specialties.
Very helpful prof. She explains chemical concepts very well and gives a reason as to why things occur the way that they do. The students that complain about her do bad because they don't study.

The only people that struggle with organic chem and who are bitter toward this prof, are the ones that don't study. Organic chem is one of the easiest courses you will ever take...IF YOU STUDY!
A great person outside of class. However she is very bitter and loves to favour students in her lecture. Maybe to boost her mark, maybe she just likes to be a cow, who knows...

Knows what she is talking about, but no one else does because of her accent and her habit of jumping around from one thing to another. No webpage or online matieral.
she is really hard to understand and doesn't expain things well
Had tp study everything from the book, horrible prof but easy exams so if you're willing to learn on your own then take her otherwise try barbara migaj
Before taking this class I heard a lot of bad stuff about this prof. But when I met her she was very friendly and easy to understand. Her accent is not that bad (YOU try learning another language).
She's a great prof! But the university has some better organic chem profs than GMCC. You are better off taking your organic chem at the U.
She is woderful teacher, she explains everything very clear, amazing teacher.
This prof stands in front of the overhead while you are struggling to take notes. No online materials. Most unhelpful in labs, the only answer you will get in the lab, "Read the Lab Manual". I don't have a problem with her accent, but she does not like to answer questions in class. Picks favourites in class and hovers above them.

OHMYGOD - whoever wrote that this teacher is easy to understand must have been reading her lips instead of listening to her voice. Not only does she have a vicious accent, but she jumps all over the place and makes it more frustrating to try and follow along. She told me that if I wanted a better mark, I had to drop some of my other classes. F***
SCARY!! Extremely easy marker, but so unapproachable! When I made mistakes in the lab she'd say "Are you crazy?? What were u thinking?" So I just stopped telling her when I made mistakes. She loves the students both in her lecture and lab. If you can, try to get into Withey's class and lab! He's so easygoing unlike MANZAR.
It is impossible not to like this her. She is hillarious and very pleasent. It is, however almost impossible to follow her lecture. very spastic. however if I had to take this class again, i would definatly choose her. p.s. she marks ridiculously easy!!
really hard to understand and teaching style was out of order and confusing
she made me cry in the lab, rude and discriminatory, not approachable after a long struggle i got a B was of no use, she is whimsical.
I get the feeling she really really doesn't like me, like I get brushed off when I ask questions. Something like *sigh* 'what NOW?' kind of thing. Seems to favor certain people, accent is fine and otherwise she seems like a nice person if you're on her good list. Seems to know what she's doing but it's hard to follow her. Read the book. Marks easy.
Very helpful and easy to approach.
A brilliant and facinating instructor. One of the best I have had.
Horrible. She cant speak english properly, so you dont understand the concept.Exams are quite easy, because she tells you exactly what is on it and also a easy marker. so if you think you can learn on your own, then go for it. what sucks most is that she is the only prof that teaches 163
off the wall. watch out. easy lab but dont ask a question - you'll come away even more confused. italiana.
well organized and good knwlege of chemistry

always available for help
Very frienly,personally concerned about students
I tried so hard in this class, but if your prof doesn't speak english, then they certainly cannot teach you Chemistry. Avoid at all costs! She may be available to help, but you'll come out more confused than when you went to her in the first place!
so hard! after many failed attempts at getting help i finally went to barbara migaj and she was way more clear. avoid at all costs!!!
If your prof confuses herself, then she sure as hell can't explain it to you.
clearly knows what she's talking about but a combination of her accent and terrible notes made this course way harder than it actually was. her notes consist of a title and 2 examples. she talks really fast so you haveto pay attention which is hard due to her accent. tests were easy though.
Don't listen to these people who are saying bad things about Manzar! Her notes may not be the best. Yes, her accent is extremely strong, but just go to class and listen, then do the example exams and questions, and you'll get an A. This class was not difficult, and Manzar is more than happy to give you tonnes of extra help if you go see her.
Really good prof, when you listen hard enough. Very friendly and funny, extremely helpful in lab when doing practical work. Make sure to study for her exams, even if she says they'll be "SO easy"!
Manzar is a really nice lady. She is always willing to help you. Go to her office and she will basically tell you answers, and help you understand everything. In class she is not very clear and may ramble on. But now that I'm in Barb's class for 263, I really wish I could still be with Manzar. Study for exams, they are fine in all. Strongly recomme
Great instructor. Concerned about student success and is always willing to help.
Very helpful. Extremely knowledgable. Fair exams. Go to her classes, highly recommend her. Very nice to students. Knows more chemistry than anyone in our college, no comparison.
Manzar is probably the nicest teacher in Chemistry. She really wants every student to do very good. Ask for help, and you get it! She is wonderful. Sometimes she isn't clear, but if u ask, you get help. She is one of the best. Barb is your other choice, and well... goodluck with that! Manzar is the way to go. She is awesome. Take her course!
She is great! You just have to come to her class and pay attention. She will help you with everything and will up your grade if you ask.
She wants people to succeed, loves chemistry...and is so hard to comprehend! Her board examples are scattered, her notes are longer than what she actually teaches, and DON'T YOU DARE try to challenge test grades because she shuts down unless you're definitely in the right (so there's no discussing...). Then again, I say avoid Chem 261 entirely...;)
Hated her in the lab, liked her out of it. Little intro to lab was too fast and did not emphasize important points. She is not happy when you mess up. Likes to make people feel stupid when they make mistakes(sounds rude in the lab.Out of the lab, encouraging and helpful. However I would not have her as a lab instructor again. Her English is not good
She can play favorites sometimes, especially in lab.
Awful teacher. Only stayed cuz I love Ochem & transferring teacherers next sem.She is all over the place in lectures, cant understand you when you ask questions. Actually gets mad when you ask a question. She blames you for not knowing something, makes you feel stupid. Lots of mistakes in lectures/handouts and never admits to it later. Avoid!
Confusing, unclear, mistakes, doesn't understand your questions, doesn't interpret ur answers on tests...If asked a Q she gets annoyed. midterms are about how fast you can write a test instead of how well you know your content...if u didn't know Ochem you might think this is ok, but believe me, u can do better for your GPA
On my first midterm I got a really bad mark and whenever I asked her questions she was bitter towards me; but on my second midterm I aced it and whenever I asked her questions she was glad to help me. All I have to say is thank god for the Chem Help Center!!
The class itself sucks so it doesnt really matter on the prof but her exams are the reason I did well. Her exams are fair and well timed, and she is very helpful if you have questions and concerns. One of my favourite profs ever and would definitely recommend her. Because of the course it requires lots of studying though, but Manzar helps a lot!
If you ask she will practically do the lab for you. She is extremely helpful and wants people to do well. The lab quizzes are tricky but if you study you should do well. She is an extremely easy marker. I definitely recommend Manzar!
Worst professor I have ever had. You will get nothing from class unless you can handle accents. Her tests aren't valid. they don't test how well you know Ochem, they test how fast you can write a test. She plays favorites and if you get on her bad side watch out. She gave her other section half an hour longer to write the final than our section.
Manzar is Judgmental, prideful about her doctor son, and extremely unhelpful. She's hard to understand, and it's nearly impossible to prepare for her exams. She definitely knows her material, but her teaching skills are poor
If you take her class you will be very much success.
I've taken both chem 263 and 261 with her. She is a wonderful professor who genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She loves organic chemistry and is enthusiastic in class. Don't be scared off by her accent, it takes 1 or 2 classes and you'll understand her. VERY MUCH recommended. I love Manzar, my favorite prof of them all
At times it is difficicult to understand. And she does move really fast through the notes but she will answer your questions. And she will help you with your homework questions which you must do in order to do well in the class. Her exams are very fair and simple. You will do well in her class if you try
After attending a couple classes you don't even notice the accent. Manzar knows the material extremely well and going to class is mandatory for very good examples- most of which show up on her exams. Manzar finds ways to give you marks, not take them away like many other profs. I loved her, she obviously really cares for all her students.
Absolutely junky professor. Cannot understand her accent, and she is just all over the place. Tests are easy but long. Would have an A+++ if I had a good teacher in that course
Excellent Prof. Gives great examples in class. Tells you what practice questions to do. Provides practice exams. Very helpful, will even meet you outside of office hours. Exams are easy if you do the practice questions. Does not try to trick you on exams. Her accent was not a problem. She is the best Chem teacher I have had!
Manzar was good, she knows her stuff, hepful and a nice lady. I would recommend her to anyone.
One of the most helpful teachers you will ever meet! She really cares about her students and is willing to do anything to help them. Amazing in the lab as well. One of the best lab teachers i've ever had!!! :)
Sometimes hard to understand but overall not too bad once you get used to it. Our class was doing bad so she scaled tests so that people got better marks. Pretty hard to fail her class. Tests are straight forward and she doesn't test on theory.
Wants her students to do the very best they can. Gives tons of helpful examples and a review before every test and the tests are exactly like the reviews. Great prof! Found it helpful to learn from the text book after her lectures though.
Does everything she can to help her students succeed! Often uses assigned practice questions from text or ones she's covered in class on exams. A very easy marker. Will bump up your grade if she feels you deserve it. Initially can seem hard to understand and confusing but she always clears things up in the end and has AWESOME review sessions!
I`ll be very honest, TRY TO AVOID HER FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.
Had her for lab..Seemed nice at first. I don't think she has much patience. She yells and embarrasses people in front of whole class if you make a mistake or are unsure of what you're doing. The lab quizzes were easy though in my opinion.
Professor Manzar is difficult to understand at first, but once you've gotten used to it, she's a really good prof. She's very passionate about chemistry and wants her students to learn. She's really sweet, too. Definitely not as bad as some people say.
Very helpful instructor. Sometimes difficult to follow, but she emphasizes the points you need to know. Her practice sheets are VERY useful! Work through them and understand them and you will do great.
Manzar is the best ochem prof there is, if u get the chance to be in her section do it! Always more than willing to help!
You must attend her class to understand the material and her power points are really good. She covers everything thats going to be on the exam which make the exams easier. I would highly recommend her.
She's a very good teacher! Slight accent but it isn't too bad. It just makes her so much cuter than she already is! She is so funny cute in an old lady way. You can tell she is very smart and knows what she is talking about. Her tests are long but she is a generous marker if you get on her good side
She's a really hard marker.
She gets a bad reputation for being a "hard teacher" but if you go to all her classes, and participate in class discussions, you'll do well.
Lecture topics are directly from the textbook. She marks tough and states that she marks generously. It's very hard to speak to her without her getting annoyed or upset ever so quickly. She states that you're more than welcome to ask her questions, but actually gets annoyed when you do and tells you to "read the book." Easy course, hard prof.
She's a really good teacher, read the textbook and do all the practice problems and you will be fine. I don't understand the comments which call her a tough grader though, she repeatedly marked generously on my exams. Awesome lady
Manzar really knows her stuff but a lot of the time I had no idea what she was talking about. I honestly watched some guy on youtube explain to me organic chemistry and it made more sense than sitting in on one of her classes. She is a super nice lady but I don't think i could take another class with her.
Stay away! Tough marker. Very grumpy
Difficult to understand and looks down on students who are having trouble. I don't recommend taking her class.
She is hard to understand during class lectures. She is very rude and does not want to help students out during office hours. if you do the practice questions in your textbook and online you will be fine but ask another teacher for help if you ever need.
Her pacing and way of explaining things in the lectures is ridiculous. It's incredibly hard to stay focused in her class. If you ask a question she will almost always look at you with a "are you kidding me" face, makes you feel pretty stupid. The texbook was my saving grace. Her tests are incredibly hard to finish on time, so be prepared! Good luck
Had her for both the lecture and the lab. In the lab, she was extremely impatient and unwilling to help/answer questions even though she stated she was "happy to help" and just tells you to read the manual. She made me feel stupid. In lecture, she rambled and was unclear. If you have a thick skin and can teach yourself everything, you will survive.
Big beauty, Do the practice, and textbook you will be fine. Preread before lectures and you will do fine. She's not going to baby feed you information, you have to want to learn to get a good grade
she makes you feel dumb when you ask a question. often distracted by the color of her markers. test are fair to the material learnt although she doesn't explain anything very well so get ready to teach yourself allot of the course.
Dr. Saberi is the best professor one can take for organic chemistry. On her midterms and finals, she used some of the practice examples that she had put up online at the beginning of the term. If you do those, you will be aces. Also, go to class! She does so many practice problems that it is impossible not to do well.
Dr. Manzar is an amazing and caring professor. She teaches you the material well if you are prepared ahead of time going into the lecture. Her practice exams are almost identical to the midterm and she tries to help each student succeed. Manzar genuinely cares for students success and that is a quality of the best teachers out there.
Absolutely fantastic. Always made time for extra help, fantastic lectures - Manzar has a way of making even the toughest concepts simple to grasp. Use the textbook, come to class prepared, and complete the suggested questions and you'll do fantastic. Exams are fair and Manzar is always eager to help. Course is tough though so put in the effort!
#1 prof. Kind, genuine, funny & brilliant. Completed 261 & 263 w/ Manzar & am sad to not be able to continue higher level O'Chem with her. It is a tough course & requires effort & hard work but she always ensures students are well prepared & is happy to help in office hours. She has inspired me& impacted my life immensely. I highly recommend her!
If you enjoy spending your weekday evenings and weekends solely teaching yourself organic, than this is the class for you. Prepare to either teach yourself everything or retake the class with a different prof. The only thing I learned from her class was how to hate chemistry. Get out before it's too late, I'm serious.
SHE WAS AWFUL!!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
She was very rude and not helpful when you asked any questions. She called a student stupid in front of the whole class. Her lectures make no sense and I pretty much taught myself 90% of the course. For your own good avoid her class. She ruined my academic life and made me despise chemistry!
I wouldn't recommend...
Awful. Went to office hours and she outright said I was wasting her time. Do yourself a favour and save this course for the U of A. She needs to show some respect. Textbook saved me.
Manzar is a great professor! Her exams are very straightforward if you do her questions and the textbook questions. She was always helpful during office hours and was always eager to answer any questions. When I first went to her class I was scared due to all the bad ratings but she is very nice, if you study and do the questions the class is easy.
Manzar is amazing! I was petrified to take her class after seeing her reviews, but she is honestly one of the best profs I have ever had. Chem 263 is a heavy course, but if you show up, do her practice questions and all the questions she assigns from the textbook you are golden! She is always available outside of class and loves participation.
Manzar is not amazing but her tests are fair. The only way to learn the material is by doing questions in the textbook. Do not expect to learn much in class.
When I first read the online reviews, I was terrified to attend her class. She is completely different than the reviews and is so sweet. The course itself is HARD, but she tries her best and is very compassionate. She waved one of my midterm grades, and clearly cares about her students. BUT, expect to study 40 hours a week.
I heard bad things about Manzar and was worried, however I found her t be a great prof. She knows what she's doing and tries her very best to make sure we understand the matter as it can be very difficult. She is pretty accessible outside of class and her tests are fair. Also super cute and funny, makes lectures more bearable :)
After seeing the reviews on here I was definitely scared. But after being in her class she is the sweetest lady and quite funny! She throws little jokes in once in awhile. Yes she has an accent but you get used to it. Shes definitely willing to help you when you ask and explain it until you understand! I would take her again for sure.
Manzar's in class examples are very helpful and she tells you what you need to know for tests. Ask questions because it makes it easier for her to teach to what the class doesn't understand. Sometimes she goes on rants or tangents from her slides that don't make a ton of sense but the examples help.
Manzar definitely cares about her students and the course but her method of teaching needs work. Her lectures are much too fast and contain too much information that you don't need to know and serve little purpose. Basically you need to be well prepared before lectures and then be constantly testing yourself from the textbook to do well.
Manzar is a very caring professor. She wants her students to do well and always asks how she can make the midterms better for us. Unless you are naturally good in o-chem you need to put in a lot of time and hard work to succeed. You need to read the text and do practice questions! She is a fast lecturer but thats needed to cover all material!
Manzar is a solid prof, but can be confusing at times. I relied more on her notes than her explaining concepts (she skips a lot from the powerpoint). She can be a tough grader and hard to ask questions, but overall she's accommodating of questions or need a mark changes. You need to attend her lectures and should do the textbook homework to pass.
She doesn't teach very well in lecture so you must read the textbook and do practice questions. 3 midterms that were very easy and were all similar to her practice midterms. She's a sweet lady but can come off as rude sometimes. She marks hard on lab reports but will help you if you're confused
Manzar is an okay prof and she can be funny. But her exams, oh man, they are fair, but VERY LONG, you have no time to recheck your work. Lectures can be boring, and a little unclear, so I taught myself most of the concepts. She is a sweet lady, but unless you are an ochem wizard, I suggest you take it with another prof
She gives you clear expectations of what to expect on your tests. All of the examples she uses in class are very similar to the ones she uses in exams. Genuinely wants all of her students to do well. Her accent can be hard to understand but you get used to it.
She's a nice lady but can be confusing in class. Her exams are long, and it's not clear what she expects in answers. I ask why I lost marks, and she has to think about it, which makes me think the way she grades exams are random. Again nice lady, can be funny, but apart from that don't expect much, maybe take it with another prof.
Honestly, I was super afraid to take Manzar's class after reading the reviews and knowing I struggle with chemistry. I found her classes to be lecture heavy but she wasn't a tough grader and the exams were straight forward. Just be sure to put in effort to study and do the practice exams/questions.
Her exams are unnecessary too long and she is a very strict marker. For example, I don't think it is necessary to have a 6 page exam for a 50 minute exam (and each page has at least 3-5 questions on it). It isn't enough time for some of the students. Her lectures can be very confusing but the lecture notes are informative.
I had Manzar for 261/263. She really wants you to understand the material and will do tons of examples in class until she feels the class understands. She also usually has a review class before each midterm and the final where you can ask her any questions and go over the practice tests. She provides answers to all the examples on the slides
Her exams are long, and it's not clear what she expects in answers. She's a very rude, old, grumpy lady. Doesnt like being proven wrong. The chemistry department definitely needs to start looking for new professors that dont hate their job like she does.
Manzar can be intimidating at first but she really wants people to succeed. Her questions are similar to her powerpoint examples. Her notes are exact to the textbook. She clearly outlines what you need to understand and what not and the types of questions. Her exams are shorter now, given you know what you're doing. This is o chem, put in effort!!
In my opinion shes not a good teacher, her lectures are hard to follow and its hard to pay attention while she talks. Her tests are AWFUL the questions will ask one thing but her expectations of the answer are completely different. I dont recommend taking her class
Such a good and caring prof, I don't understand why so many people dislike her. Her tests are similar to the practice exams, questions at the end of her slides and the textbook questions she assigns. She is accessible and very helpful if you go to see her outside of class. Manzar is the best!
Doesnt know what shes doing half the time. Always trying to find words to try and articulate but always comes off as not being prepared for the lecture. Asking questions and critiquing her practice exams is useless as she is unwilling and denies the faults within her out homework material. Youd have a better time teaching yourself the course.
Chemistry is hard for sure for sure. Unfortunately, Manzar is kinda boring. I would attend the class and have to fight to pay attention. Her slides have a lot of info which is really nice and her practice tests were helpful. Honestly, if you don't go to class just make sure you do LOTS of practice and I'm sure you'll make it! Goodluck
If you DONT want to spend hours watching Khan Academy and teaching yourself AVOID! Loved chemistry before her class, she takes off marks for little things, most of the class you try to focus on what she's saying. You'd be better with ANY other teacher. If you choose to take her just go through the slides and do ALL her practice questions.
I went from being a B+ organic chem student to a C- organic chem student thanks to her. This course is not hard at all but she makes the course so difficult! Youtube is saving me in this course. MacEwan needs to hire more organic chemistry professors.
I had Manzar for Chem 261/263 and I have never had a professor care more about me and how I do in her class. Attendance is not mandatory, but it goes a long way to participate. She's flexible with her exams and is quite forgiving if you show effort in her class. Tell her what you what you struggle with and she will actually make it easier on exams.
worst chem prof ever. she is rude and uncaring. Does not know how to teach would not recommend, she expects us to know things she never taught? takes marks off for small things.
Can hardly understand anything she says In the lecture and only covers half of everything it seems. she expects you to know things that have never been taught. she goes extremely fast in the lecture so with her accent good luck keeping up. very hard marker as well. you will lose marks for silly things.
She definitely has a passion for O-chem but also for docking marks for innocuous mistakes like penmanship and diagram quality. She's readily available for contact but don't question her or she will take it personally! Take her class if you appreciate the outdated and complacent teaching styles that require more time in khan academy than in lecture.
her notes are very straight forward and if you actually show up to class and listen, it is a very easy class. you have to study outside of the class because some concepts are harder than others. her exams are exactly like the practice exams and very straight forward.
Manzar is caring and sweet and honestly wants her students to succeed. That said she is very hard to understand, especially on online classes. She is a very hard marker and I found I was constantly watching youtube videos to fill in gaps of my learning. You have to put in the work for this class!!
Manzar is sweet but she is hard to understand in class. I had to teach myself most of the course. Her lectures are extremely unhelpful. She wants her students to do good, but is just an awful teacher. She has 2 midterms, the final, and some online assignments. Overall o-chem is a hard class and manzar makes it harder.
what a terrible prof. exams are ridiculously long and she's a hard and inconsistent marker she takes marks off for little things and guaranteed if someone else in the class had written the same or similar answer they would get a different mark than you.
Manzar was okay. She was very nice, I got along with her well. However, I pretty well relied only on youtube videos in order to understand all the content. I eventually stopped watching her lectures altogether because I was learning nothing from them, as she read straight from the textbook. Had to put in A LOT of time outside of class to learn.
Manzar is a nice person and you can tell she is passionate about organic chemistry, but she is just downright a very poor professor. Her lectures are so hard to follow that most of us stopped attending and learned the course material from other online sources (that explained the material much better in much less time). Made a hard topic harder.
Manzar is very sweet, which sometimes leads to a false sense of security with her, make no mistake, if you take this class, be prepared to learn everything independently as she will further complicate organic chemistry. Save yourself the trouble and find another prof.
My 261 and 263 prof. Not the best teacher, but compared to other profs her exams are EXTREMELY easy (barely any rxn mechanisms). You will HAVE to teach the course to yourself. Tests are straightforward, similar to practice notes and questions in her lectures. For 263: lab is 25%, 2 midterms are 20%, assignments are 10%, and final is 25%.
She rambles about minor things. She is hard to understand as she speaks quietly. When you ask her questions, she doesn't answer them directly and breaks down simple answers in a way that is condesending or down-putting. This applies to both lecture and lab.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!SAVE YOUR SELF!!She does not care about you and TALKS IN THE MOST CONDISENDING TONE EVER KNOWN.When you ask a question in lecture for clarification she says "hold your thought" like huh? and when she answers she spends the entire class talking rubbish and not actually answering the question.I will NEVER take her class again.
AVOID!! She's a sweet person and is somewhat helpful during her office hours, but she does not know how to teach. She has a heavy accent and speaks quietly so it's hard to understand her. She skips over the small but important details, so you get confused really easily. Her exams are pretty easy but be prepared to teach everything to yourself.
She's not a good prof. Many people said her exams were easy but her lectures are absolutely terrible. She rambles, doesn't clarify things, very often makes mistakes and drives the whole class in circles because she will be saying the wrong thing. If you ask for clarification she's rude and condescending. Terrible prof.
She is probably one of the worst profs I've had in a while, her lectures are very confusing, and she is not helpful in clarifying anythingggg. However, her exams are pretty easy, and if you watch youtube videos and do your own practice questions from the textbook you will definitely do well in this course.
Extremely unhelpful. Very rude and just a horrible prof all around. Nothing good to say
Manzar was pretty disappointed in our class this semester, which she made known. However, she is hilarious and an overall nice lady. She wants you to do well, but she can lecture pretty fast/be hard to understand. This class takes effort, but that's OChem. If you like an old-school, not going to hold your hand approach, Manzar is a good option.
I would recommend taking another professor's class. Her slides are mainly pulled from the textbook, so I found the textbook not a big help. She has a thick accent and talks at us a lot; we don't practice the concepts enough in class, and she often arrives late on exam days. Three exams, 40%, assignments 10%, final and lab, each 25%.
She got confused whenever someone tried to ask a question and did not actually answer. She nitpicks written answers on exams (no mc btw). She marked my correct answer wrong for using the word "percent" because "that's a math word... this is chemistry," just to give an idea of her grading patterns... She is passionate and kind and funny at least...
