This guy was absolutely terrible. The class was pretty easy. He had a habit of going on about nothing of particular value to the class, and he treated the students like children. He also used the class as an arena for his own venting. Do not take him. The are plenty of other profs for 102.
Whoever that other person was is just being ridiculous. Cohen is a good professor. He is very helpful and has office hours, which will be of great benefit in writing papers. You will get back whatever you put in, so not showing up to class and half-assing papers won't fly.
One of my favorite teachers so far. Always focused on student improvement and always willing to help.
This professor will teach you how to write professionally. Clarity, Cohesion, Structure, Syntax! You will not forget him. But don't be a lazy ass...
Mr. Cohen's a great professor and I really enjoyed his class. He was always willing to be available and help. I asked him to do a recommendation for me 2 years out of class and he was more than happy to do so. Truly, he was a great professor. Like already said, the return is equal to the effort. He'll give you what you deserve but it's only fair!
I had a wonderful experience in Prof Cohen's class. He's approachable, passionate about what he teaches, and seemingly always available for individual help (which in a public university is pretty rare). As long as you put time and effort into your work and show up to class, you should get a lot out of whatever he's teaching you.
Mr. Cohen was one of the most influential professors I've had. He is really passionate about what he does and is always willing to help students when they need it. He brings the best out of everyone because of his well-structured and engaging courses. Any course with Mr. Cohen would definitely be worth taking.
Mr. Cohen has been the most helpful person in the improvement of my writing skills. I credit his class for preparing me for all the papers I have done since. He is a great teacher willing to work individually with all his students to make sure they understand everything and I definitely recommend him.
Mr. Cohen was a Great professor! My writing is much better now that I have taken his class. You must be there every class but it is worth it. He grades fairly, you get back(the grade) what u put in to this class. With hard work I don't see why anyone can't make an A.
Good teacher.
Good teacher.
he's vary pasionate
He is very approachable. I got help before writing all of my papers and I think my writing skills improved greatly thanks to his guidance. Also, he's just a generally nice person!
overall great teacher
Even though I have only attended UNC for one full year, Professor Cohen is the best professor that i have had thus far and will be tough to beat by any other professor in the future. He was always willing to meet with you outside of class, which was a huge help for me. After having Professor Cohen for two semesters, I can guarantee you that the grade you get for the class will reflect the effort that you put into it. I highly reccomend that you take his class if you have the opportunity.
At first, he it seems as if he will be a very helpful and insightful professor. However, as the semester wears on, it becomes evident that he establishes impossible standards for his students. He also puts a large amount of emphasis on personal preference. If he does not like a student for any reason, it will be very difficult to get a good grade.
The class is a lot harder if you are a skillful writer. He grades based on improvement, so if you don't have a lot to improve on at a 101 level, you're pretty much screwed.
Very helpful and interested in this subject. Grading contract makes it east to get at least a B+.
amazing professor! he goes out of his way to help you but his grades are based on how much you've improved so its a little difficult if you are a good writer but he really is awesome and if you do all your work then a moderately easy A.
Super awesome Professor, extremely helpful, my favorite professor yet
Prof. Cohen goes above and beyond to help students. Your grade will be influenced by how much you utilize this help but he's very fair and the grading contract really helps.
Professor Cohen is a solid teacher. He is always in a good mood and excited to teach class. For our exams, we had to write essays and short answers, but he literally gives you exactly what is going to be on the test beforehand. He's really happy when you speak up in class or even just stay to talk a bit after class. Great experience overall!
Prof. Cohen is one of my favorite professors I've had! He really cares about his students and takes time to get to know you. He is always so willing to help and really wants you to improve your writing in his class, which you definitely will. Definitely go see him in office hours, he'll tell you exactly what he wants to see in your writing.
Dr. Cohen is really helpful in office hours. He really makes himself as available as possible for his students. He gives amazing feedback on papers. The books were interesting and he led great discussions.
He's the bomb. Bought us donuts at the end too.
He brought us Krispy Kreme doughnuts. What more do you want? He is incredibly willing to help students by giving feedback on papers before they are due. He genuinely wants all of his students to do well and improve their writing.
Marc Cohen is GREAT!!!!!! He is so helpful (if you approach him), and he is very flexible. I sent him my weekly schedule and he found a time that would suit both of us. He helped me improve my writing so much!
Would love to take again. Great lectures. Participation is a must, but discussion topics are interesting, so participating is not difficult. Wonderful professor. Gives excellent feedback, is always available to meet and discuss classwork, and will go out of his way to help. Truly cares about his students and their success. Chose great novels
Professor Cohen is an amazing professor. He is an excellent lecturer who not only loves his jobs but truly cares about his students. He gives excellent feedback. Professor Cohen aims to make everyone in the class a more critical reader and efficient writer. I would love to take another class with Professor Cohen.
Awesome feedback and you'll learn a lot! He's really open to office hours and just wants you to succeed. You will write a lot of papers and have to attend class, but it's worth it. Would definitely take him again.
Prof. Cohen is great! He is very helpful when it comes to helping you on your papers. If you go to office hours you can easily expect an A. He bases your grade on how much you have improved from the beginning of the semester to the end. Make sure you engage in class and I'm serious go to office hours! He likes athletes too!
I'd avoid his classes. He assigns a lot of work (which is fine in my book), but is very unclear when it comes to instructions and is a pretty harsh grader. His class was extremely unintuitive for me due to him wanting his students' writing to be dry and mechanical. Don't write sentences longer than ten words and expect not to get penalized for it.
Not the easiest class, but Cohen is pretty great guy and the course was pretty helpful. Even though I was a senior in this freshmen level course, I feel that the class still managed to improve my writing. Cohen actually cares about his students and reached out when he could tell I was going through some rough times. Helpful course and great guy.
Cohen took his ENGL 105 class very seriously, but it ended up being a good thing. You will grow as a writer as long as you put in the work and seek his help for assignments. Not that hard of a class as long as you go to office hours
Professor Cohen brings you Krispy Kreme donuts at the end of the semester! But more importantly, his paper assignments and exams are very reasonable, since he gives specific instructions regarding how you should prepare. Also the books he chose were all interesting!
Really wants to help you get your writing up to a new level. Great in office hours. Give him your best effort, and he'll really help your writing improve. His goal is for you to learn. Take his class!
I am an international student taking his class 2 years ago, and still feel the usefulness of it. He is willing to help and made himself available and approachable. He does not embarrass you; instead, he helps you achieve the best. If international student really want to improve in presentation and writing skills, take his class!
Amazing professor. If you have the chance, take his class. He WILL improve your writing style, and he gives clear outlines for how he wants your essay's written. Does not take too much time out of your week. 10/10
Dr. Cohen is the best professor I have had at UNC. He is inspirational and truly cares about his students. His class goes by so fast every single time! The readings he chooses are rich and fulfilling, and he gives in-depth feedback to help everyone improve their writing. He is growth-focused, not skill-focused.
Professor requires that every assignment follows a specific model and has something due every class. Class time is a joke, he spends time reading aloud or having student read aloud resources that are already available to them. However, class attendance is mandatory. Nice guy, not a great professor.
Professor Cohen is one of the best professors that I have had at UNC. More than anything, he cares about his students and wants to ensure that they receive the best education possible while they are here. His teaching style and feedback helped me to greatly improve my writing mechanics and find my voice in my writing.
Professor Cohen was the best professor I have ever had at Carolina. He truly cares for each of his students and goes out of his way to make time to meet with students aside from his office hours. Assignments are explained very thoroughly in class and he tries to help his students in any way possible. If you have him as a professor you will thrive!
One of my favorites! Makes an effort to get to know you and wants you to do well. Had 10 quizzes (2/book), but if you read, they aren't too bad. If you go to office hours, he'll tell you exactly what to do in your papers. Midterm and final were in-class essays, but he gave prompts in advance. Even put me in contact with great job connections! 10/10
Professor Cohen has been the best professor I've had at UNC! He really cares about improving the writing ability of his students, and he is always willing to go out of his way to set up office hours and give feedback. you'll find yourself comparing all future professors to him!
Probably one of my favorite professors so far. The quizzes on the readings are tough but it doesn't matter because he is such a good professor and you can still do well on everything else and get a good grade. Plus, he cares so much you will want to do the readings.
Cohen is by far my favorite professor at UNC. He is genuinely invested in each student's learning experience and is accessible outside of class. He gives incredibly detailed and good feedback on papers and is very enthusiastic when giving his lectures. He is an overall great guy and made reading/an English class, in general, more enjoyable.
Marc was pretty average. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to see them do good. Will meet for office hours literally whenever. You have assignments every other day so thats kind of annoying. And he grades a little harsh, will take off points for the smallest of things. Spends most of class reading assignment prompts too.
One of my favorite professors! Geniunely cares about his students, and gives very thoughtful insight. Is a pretty lenient grader, and gives great feedback. I would take this class again in a heartbeat.
Dr. Cohen is a really passionate teacher and obviously cares about his students a lot, but he is a pretty harsh grader and assigns a lot of homework. The entirety of class is spent reading prompts for homework which is so annoying. He's probably a great teacher for other classes, but 105 was just okay and a hassle to attend.
Prof. Cohen made this class v interactive! If you don't like group projects, don't take this class. If you like reading literature and learning new things, then I'd say take it for sure! Prof. Cohen is a bit of a harsh grader but it really is up to you to improve your writing and put in effort! Reading quizzes are frequent, tests totally preparable
Cohen is definitely the best professor I've had at UNC, and one of the best teachers I've ever had, period. He cares so much about his students' learning. He provides excellent, detailed feedback on papers (he takes some time of course but it's worth it). He's a very genuine guy and an excellent lecturer. Take this class if you can.
Great teacher who cares about his students! Also gives out donuts on the last day of class!!
Dr. Cohen genuinely cares about his students and is good person. He is fair and clear about the expectations of the course. Not the best lecturer, but gives good feedback and is willing to help with questions about assignments.
Professor Cohen is my favorite professor at UNC. The readings were never more than 20ish pages per class, and the books he chose were incredibly interesting and inspiring. He really cares about his students. He works with each student at their writing level, so I still felt challenged even though I never really stressed about this class.
Professor Cohen is amazing. I loved our discussions in class, but sometimes I feel like we focused on small parts of the book and never discussed some huge chunks. All of the books taught me a lot about different perspectives so even though I didn't particularly enjoy reading a couple of them I am glad we did. Take any class with him if you can.
Professor Cohen is not only a great professor, but a genuine person who cares about his students. While the class does include quite a bit of writing, the papers revolve around interesting topics, so they aren't difficult to write. Professor Cohen guides you through the editing process, and every student has the ability to make good grades.
Amazing professor! Genuinely cares ( as I am sure you can read in the past reviews ) and goes out of his way to connect with you and make sure you succeed inside and outside of class.
Cohen is possibly the best professor I have ever had at UNC. He is so caring, and wants to make sure you succeed even if it means giving up his free time to do so. There is a lot of reading and writing in this class, but he makes sure you are well prepared to understand all material, and gives very personalized feedback. 10/10 recommend any class
Professor Cohen is definitely one of my favorite professors. He cares so much about his students and tries to personally know each one of them. His grading is very clear and he helps a lot with the assignments during class. There's an average amount of homework but he is an amazing professor for ENGL105. Overall an amazing person and professor.
Professor Cohen is the dude. Be prepared to read and write a good bit but he teaches a very entertaining class and cares a lot about his students. I would definitely recommend him even though I don't like typically like English
Prof Cohen is one of the most caring professors I've had so far. He truly cares about the well-being of his students. His engl 105 class is so fun, there were so many opportunities we had that usually aren't associated with english (hospital shadowing, seeing new films, etc.) He wants to give us a good grade, & he will if he sees a good work ethic
Take Dr. Cohen's class if you're looking for a place to waste your time/an easy A. He's a kind and caring man, but it doesn't excuse his exasperating lecture style. Anyone who actually cares about English and feeling like you genuinely learned something shouldn't take this class. It's more of a poorly run cultural studies survey course.
Dr. Cohen is by far one of the best professors, if not the best professor I've had thus far at UNC. His class is filled with reading and writing, yet if you do the reading you will be fully prepared to do well on the exams and papers. Each of the books we've read this semester has been interesting in its own unique way. Highly recommend this class!
Easily my favorite teacher at UNC. Every book we read was absolutely incredible... and I genuinely do NOT read for fun! Highly suggest this course and this professor!
Prof Cohen is by far the best professor/teacher I've ever had. He's so caring and wants you to succeed inside and outside of his class. He picks amazing books and you really do learn a lot about your writing. Also gives incredible feedback and is available for office hours whenever. Can't recommend enough!!
It's clear that Prof Cohen cares an immense amount about his students. He goes above and beyond to do projects that will make his class more interesting (Turkish tea, doctor shadowing, concert) and will find special opportunities for students that take special interest. However, SO MANY PAPERS, and no feedback on writing style, only missing commas.
Cohen is an amazing English professor. It's very clear from the first day of class that his main goal is for students to learn and grow as students, rather than just get good grades. He's also a very fair/pretty easy grader. Really clear expectations for assignments and his classes have a great vibe. I liked his class so much that I took another!
Dr. Cohen is super passionate about giving his students unique opportunities to learn beyond just an english class. The workload is more than I expected, but the opportunities made it justifiable. Connecting with the coaches/players of the field hockey team, shadowing at the hospital, and more made this class super unique. Put in the work for an A.
Prof. Cohen is a fantastic teacher and cares a lot for his students. His lesson units are super fun and interactive and he gives extra credit. He can tell when you're trying your best on projects and reflects that in your grade. The highest score he gives though is a 95 and an A is a 93 or above, so it can be difficult to get into the A range.
I wish I had more time to take more classes with prof cohen. He has made me learn to love English and his lectures are amazing. The only class I look forward to every week. 100/10 would definitely recommend him. He is so amazingly accommodating and wants to make sure you are comfortable with everything in the class and the books are so interesting!
Prof. Cohen was amazing! He is incredibly understanding, he cares a lot about students and he goes above and beyond being just a teacher. Take any class you can with him! Engl 129 has a paper for every book you read so that can be a little intense but they are very enjoyable and interesting books so it's not too bad.
Absolutely love Professor Cohen! Favorite UNC professor thus far. Classes are discussion based. I really recommend actively participating in discussions, it will help you on assignments and in grading. Expect a few papers, reading quizzes and group projects. Professor Cohen led class to feel like a tight-knit community despite holding class virtual
Great professor! Get ready to read, participate in class, and write for each book (2 essays, midterm, and final). There's also an interactive group project.
Prof. Cohen really cares about his students and you can tell how much class culture and participation matters to him; I was able to connect with him and other students even over Zoom. There were two group projects and they were the best group projects I've ever done! He gives detailed feedback and clearly wants us to learn and succeed.
His lectures can be long-winded, but he is so passionate about literature and tries to make it interesting for everyone. We read cool books in class, and I loved all the papers I got to write. He isn't a harsh grader but his class wasn't an easy A either. He was good with disability accommodations and was so flexible when I got sick. He's amazing!
Complete waste of time in class. Reads over material that is already provided, attendance is mandatory and is super critical on every assignment. So much work compared to other ENG105 classes.
You will undoubtedly leave Professor Cohen's class a much better writer than you were entering this course. You certainly have to work for it though. Outside of the classroom, Professor Cohen prioritizes your development and will go out of his way to support you in any way possible. The workload was demanding, though he was a generous grader.
Dr. Cohen was passionate about this class, but it was MUCH more work than I was expecting. He's a generous grader and provides neat opportunities outside of the classroom, but all 3 of our major projects were VERY intensive. Most people ended up with an A/A-, but it is by no means an easy A. Class time is mostly spent going over HW instructions.
I have taken both 141 and 129 with Cohen and I can honestly say that his classes are 100% worth it. The books are not always the most interesting but he comes to class with so much enthusiasm and classes are always very interactive. Grade is based on two papers, participation, midterm, final, and two group projects and he gives great feedback.
Prof. Cohen is a super nice professor! He is very caring and always supports his students in any way possible. The class is spent going over homework instructions, workshopping essays, going on field trips for the unit projects, or having class discussions about topics, but it's a very enjoyable class. He gives good feedback as well.
Prof. Cohen truly cares about his students and wants them to get better at writing, and sets up his grading rubric in a way to help achieve this. Any time you get points off on an essay you will know why, and be able to fix it in the future. The only downside in this class is you are writing more than usual, about 15-20 or so pages total.
Cohen is a good professor to have during your freshman year. He had a lot of diverse assignments that gave knowledge for different subjects other than English. Number of assignments may get overwhelming due to the amount of work, but if you start early it should not be too difficult. He has papers/mini projects instead of a final exam as well.
Prof. Cohen was a great professor and truly cares about his students well being. I really enjoyed reading the diverse array of books he chose and honestly felt like a book club because it's very discussion-based. There are quite a few essays, but he gives you 20 pieces of feedback on your first essay and helped me improve a lot as a writer.
Professor Cohen is undeniably a good and dedicated professor. But he gives a lot of work (homework every class), expects everyone to participate, and has quite a temper. The major assignments are very detailed and require extensive research. Take this class only if you have a lot of time to burn.
Prof. Cohen is my favorite professor I've had at Carolina. Awesome guy!
I was pretty lucky to have Prof. Cohen as my English 105 professor. He makes each unit of the class super interactive, so rather than writing on a topic none of us care about, we get to meet professionals in the field and take trips outside the classroom. He is pretty understanding of absences and has a good amount of extra credit opportunities.
Dr. Cohen is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Besides being insanely intelligent, he really does care for the students. He is very very flexible to work with and really wants to see students succeed in his class and further more. He cared about us as human beings which was very refreshing when other professors just saw us as a grade. Great
Dr. Cohen is so caring and genuinely wants the best from you in this class. If you know you aren't going to put in extra work, don't waste anybodies time. This certainly is a harder section of ENGL105 but if you want to better yourself as a writer, this is the best professor to take.
I found his class to be very engaging and even fun. He gives a lot of feedback on your assignments, which you should endeavor to listen to, and also devotes significant portions of class time to helping you improve your papers.
He is very understanding of personal issues and can be easily reached outside of class hours. The feedback provided on papers is thorough and helpful for revisions and future papers assigned.
This class is very discussion based which I preferred, I felt like I had a better opportunity to understand the books for myself. I think sometimes he went off on unnecessary tangents, but overall I feel like I improved as a reader and a writer from this course.
Professor Cohen was great. He really cared that his students did well. He would sometimes push deadlines for projects back a couple days if he felt that not enough people in the class would get a high grade on it.
He is a good professor; I certainly have had worse, but I always dreaded going to class because I never felt like we were discussing our readings, just that he talked to us for 50 minutes. The papers are doable, but his feedback was not as good as I was expecting from the reviews. I wouldn't retake his class, but he is obviously very knowledgeable.
Professor Cohen is super kind and understanding! He is definitely passionate about what he is teaching and goes above and beyond for unit projects to make them interesting and applicable to real life. Workload is very manageable as long as you don't procrastinate because it will pile up. An "easy" A as long as you put in the work.
Not an easy English class at all!! So much homework given every class. Does give more than 95% on HW and participation. Come to every class or no chance to get an A.
Although this class is not difficult, professor Cohen assigns a ridiculous amount of homework for a freshman english class. You will surely find yourself doing research on topics that are not of interest to the majority of the class. Avoid unless you want many hours of work each week.
The class itself was not very hard. You have to put the work in to get a good grade, but I overall do not think I significantly improved at writing. A lot of feedback came off as unprofessional and was often more about appearance and aesthetics than the content itself. I did not feel respected by him.
Very interested in his students, and he cares a lot. This is structured like AP Lang rather than a college course. Attendance is mandatory, homework is given every night, and there are a lot of tedious activities to complete. I liked Cohen as a person but the class took too much energy away from my other classes. This is NOT an easy grade.
He is a relatively easy grader and this class wasn't that hard, but the workload was a lot compared to most other ENGL105 classes. He used to work in Hollywood and that really is clear with his grading, sometimes it felt like he graded more so off of his aesthetic preferences than off of writing quality. He's very nice though.
He is a very nice people. It's a lot more work than the other 105, but the grading criteria are clear and work strictly according to syallbus.
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE FOR ENGLISH 105. Cohen is rude to students if they don't make a good first impression. He is not accommodating whatsoever with the amount of work he gives every night. English 105 puts this prof on a power trip for absolutely no good reason.
Good class overall. You definitely have to put more work in compared to other English105 class but professor cohen is very passionate and cares about his students.
Cohen is very knowledgeable in writing and does know what he is doing. However, it is very "my way or the highway" in terms of his philosophy. He can be very rude to students if they rub him the wrong way, as well as very dismissive of different opinions on ideas or topics.
Not too bad for Engl 105. Wants you to do well. Ends class early alot
Professor Cohen is very kind and clearly cares about all of his students. He wanted all of us to succeed both in his class and outside of it. He does expect more effort out of English 105 than other professors and makes the units very experiential. Going to events outside of class was required for all of our unit projects. Difficult paper prompts.
I enjoyed this class. Professor Cohen does give a lot of assignments, but he also gives clear rubrics and criteria. He also offers extra credit for a few booster points on projects. He's a tough grader but provides really good feedback to keep helping you improve. He also grades fairly quickly and encourages peer-reviewing and creativity.
Professor Cohen made ENGL101 my most enjoyable class of the semester. He truly cares about his students and makes distinctive units (rock band, botanical gardens, social media) that were extremely fun to work with. He isn't the easiest grader but if you keep up with the fairly constant workshop assignments you shouldn't have trouble getting an A.
Cohen is a nice guy who genuinely wants to see his students succeed. His class might be slightly more work-heavy than other ENGL 105 classes, but he makes up for it with how interesting his units are. He is very well-connected and gives his students access to so many unique experiences, and if you get to know him and participate, you will succeed.
I have never met a professor more deeply invested in the success of his students that Cohen. Prof Cohen assigns an incredibly realistic amount of homework, which makes lectures beyond engaging. Read some great books and wrote 3 papers for the course w/ 2 written exams. He's supportive, accessible outside of the classroom, and just goated. Fav prof!
One of the worst professors and instructors that I have ever had/heard of. On paper and at the first appearance Cohen seems like a nice guy. But soon enough, you'll find his disingenuous nature. He has sent multiple rude emails, screamed at many students, and is very egotistical. He has mandatory out-of-class meetings and is mean if you miss any.
Prof Cohen is one of my all time favorite professors at UNC!! I would recommend taking ENGL 129 to anybody. He is very accessible outside of class, and kind to all students. If you meet with him and try to become a better student, you will succeed! I'm a biology major, and I was still able to succeed in his class.
It is evident that Professor Cohen is knowledgeable about the subject and that he cares about his students. He goes out of his way to make sure that students not only feel comfortable in his class, but comfortable enough to reach out to him if they need anything. You will succeed in the class if you put in the work.
Prof. Cohen is probably one of the best professors I have had. He truly cares for the success of his students and is even interested in keeping up with you after the class. He also gives extremely detailed feedback. You can tell how much effort he puts into making this class more interactive and memorable with the wide range of interesting topics.
Excellent professor who lectures with enthusiasm and genuinely cares about his students. The group projects he assigned were interesting and creative. I found the course load to be very reasonable and his grading straightforward.
One of my favorite professors at UNC! Truly cares about his students and goes out of his way to support us. Highly recommend taking his class
Professor Cohen is one the best teachers I've ever had at UNC. Very nice and approachable, and gives lots of constructive feedback on papers. I really learned a lot in this class. Take ENGL129 with him if you can!
Don't take this class if you're looking for a light load for an English 105 class. This class wasn't necessarily hard, but it took up lots of time because we did have homework each night. Overall professor was nice and willing to work and help you in the class, but had way more work than the other English 105 classes.
Prof. Cohen is genuinely my favorite prof! His class is perfect for anyone who loves films and storytelling, and who is passionate about learning! He's incredibly caring and always accommodating to everyone's needs. There are no exams, a fun presentation, 3 major papers, + watching and appreciating movie clips. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
Took online during Summer II. Highly recommend listening to all the audiobooks ahead of time instead of trying to read daily. Lesson videos (2x speed) help spark ideas for writing. Discussions, quizzes, and videos are easier than they look. Papers are a lot of work, and he grades tough, but his feedback is detailed and helpful. Worth taking.
Dr. Cohen is a lovely man and takes a real interest in his students and their abilities. He wants you to get better and gives clear feedback and a lot of it. Lots of writing but very manageable.
Dr. Cohen's class is very unusual compared to other 105 eng classes, and there is sm homework and unnecessary complicated projects. He is caring, however. Also gives feedback but is a tough grader and it can be hard to understand what he wants on assignments. Beware of the amount of references you will do.
Professor Cohen is amazing! Each day, he conversed with every student. In this course, we went to a rock concert, toured the North Carolina Botanical Garden, and met a family of influencers. There is quite a bit of work outside of class; however, it mainly consists of notes. He can be a harsh grader at times; however, his reasoning is always clear.
