One of my favorite professors I've taken. Makes classes interesting by using real-world examples and tying them into the lectures. Quizzes aren't too bad if you review the casebook and understand the different concepts. Recommend participating in class to get a better understanding of the material. Overall great professor.

I really liked professor Davenport, I just didn't like the class material or the setup of the course. The quizzes are designed to trick you sometimes which is rough towards the end of the semester. Also, the final is 85 questions which is not normal or feasible to study for. He's a great guy and gives great real world applications.

Davenport's class will not kill you. It's confusing at times, but never necessarily "tough." Out of all the accounting undergrad courses, his is prob the easiest. Don't get me wrong, there are confusing concepts and he's not the best at explaining them, but asking AI can help to understand why things are the way they are to prep for quizzes.

As long as you stay on top of the material and either attend lectures or watch them back, you will do good on the quizzes and in the course.

His class was definitely one of my favorite accounting classes, and by far made the most sense to me. If you go to class and study his lecture slides you will be fine. He provides the text over Canvas so you don't need a textbook. He is very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to and he teaches concepts you will really use if you work in audit.

Talking audit with Professor Davenport was amazing! He is really helpful and quick to respond. He wants students to do well in the course. Gave some extra credit opportunities to help students.
