I took Dr. Gentzler for an eight week course. I really liked his teaching style as he did his best to make the topics interesting by using videos in his lectures. The study guides are very similar to the test and he also reviews on test day. It is impossible to not get atlesst a B. The only downfall about this class is the online homework.

Marc Gentzler is an AMAZING professor and I would take his class again if I had to. IMPORTANT TIP for fellow students: COMMUNICATION is the KEY. As long as you take notes, do homework ON TIME, seek help if possible by going to his office and or communicate through email, try avoid PROCRASTINATION and do ALL extra credit if possible.

Very good at explanations. VERY good with getting students involved in discussions. he will use language students understand and concepts that we can relate to. He is absolutely lenient with your needs or struggles. I would take this man for all of my subjects if I could. you would have to FORCE yourself to fail in order to get an F. And I learned!

This was my favorite class in college by far. Not only for the subject, but the professor is amazing. He makes even the boring topics interesting and doing really cool demonstrations. One really cool paper and one group project and the rest is tests. For homework you basically make your own study guide. It's very helpful. Take this class!

This was by far one of the best professors I've had while being in college. Professor Gentzler is super chill and fun which translates into his classroom and makes class super fun instead of boring. Class participation may come up sometimes but it's always fun and actually teaches you something. Group projects weren't too difficult at all.

Dr. Gentzler is a great professor. His lectures are interesting and to the point. His homework assignments are not difficult and they help students to be prepared for tests (which are not terribly difficult with a little studying). He is also great about reviewing material.

Pretty easy class if you show up everyday and take good notes to do the HW. Come to his review sessions because not many professors would offer that. Some class topics are very controversial or interesting.

if you need help he is willing to help you , also if you have problems coming to class for family or sickness he will help you catch up meeting with you or by phone i would recommend this professor

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! You will not regret taking this class. No textbook needs to be bought, notes are posted online, and overall professor makes the class very enjoyable and interesting to understand for students. Probably the only class so far i never fell tired or sleepy. Studying is not difficult, does have a group project which is easy.

I love this man so much, there has been times in class where I'm literally crying because he's so funny, I wish I could take him again. Do all his work and you shall receive a good grade. He is very understanding and his test are easy for the most part!

Professor Gentzler made my freshman year worthwhile. Super easy course as long as you show up, take notes, and pay attention. Not much work but the work that is given is pretty basic. Really cares about his students (always held tutoring before exams), and really wants everyone to pass. Super easy to talk to and super entertaining.

Hes lecture heavy yes, but he makes it interactive and fun for everyone. I attended each class and there was only two were I got bored from the lecture, which is insane for me. I learned so much from him. Ironically everyone in my ethics class this summer took him before and raved. He posts his lectures online just in case you have to go back too.

Very interactive with the class. I had mixed mode so I only saw him once a week however it was easy to learn the material. If you're not into watching videos then mixed mode isn't for you. Only 4 study guide like homeworks and the 4 exams one being a take home exam. Would absolutely take again

All I can say is... what a great professor. Took him for Intro to Psych and he made the class very fun and entertaining. Professor Gentzler made me truly excited to come to class. Syllabus stays true to the class, and each test is pretty easy if you study. He makes the class fun. You wont regret taking him! :)

The group project is very simple and fun if you have a good group. I took this mixed mode and he posted all the lectures online, so everything you need to know for exams is right on canvas (don't buy the book, it's pointless). There are no papers and 4 exams. The small assignment are simple and require a basic opinion. Enjoyed this class A LOT.

Best Teacher Ive ever had. Test are multiple choice and the short response are easy too. Has powerpoint and teaches good. Fairly simple and a teacher that understands that you are human too, so not homework heavy at all.

he is a great teacher. his lectures are funny and the homework is super easy. you dont need the textbook he gives you everything you need to pass. and he has after class review sessions for all exams even the final. go to the reviews and get extra credit plus all the answers to the test. the class is not boring and easy to pass.

Professor Gentzler makes psychology interesting and relates it to the real world. Loved going to this class each day. Grade consists of 4 tests, which are a mix of fill in blank and multiple choice, and 4 homeworks to make study guide for each test, and 3 papers to write. These are graded on completion only.

Dr Gentzler is one of the best professors I've had here! He's a bit awkward yet funny. He gave those who didn't do well with the final projects a second chance and he made things easier to understand and remember. This is the only psychology class I needed to take and I wish I needed to take more of them just so I could have him as a prof again.

There are only 4 HW assignments and the thought prompts are easy and quick to do and go to the study sessions before the test!!!

He is amazing! He is funny and his classes are just very entertaining! The only problem is his quizzes are very difficult just because they are not covered in the lectures. I could have gotten a better grade if they werent so hard and sometimes out of topic! He does cares about you and your grade so if you need to extend an assignment just ask!

He seems really nice and caring towards his students. His zoom lecture videos are really long sometimes over 2 hours which is hard to focus that long on something. He gives weekly quizes that are pretty lengthy and sometimes he doesn't cover what's on the quiz. He doesn't give grade feedback he just grades your test without a comment.

If youre looking for a great psych professor, stop looking and take Gentzler if you can. His lectures and power points are easy to follow and he gives great analogys to make sure you truly understand it. Activities are fun, he actually cares about your success, and as long as you watch and take notes during lectures youll be successful!

The exams are not too hard, everything in them relates to what he talked about in class or to the slides, so just make sure you study and know the modules. I took Professor Gentzler for gen psych & he was so good, I had to take him for developmental. If you can take this class irl, do it! He genuinely cares about his students & is always available to help. There's barely any homework & you can do extra thought prompts for extra credit. It's impossible to get below a B in his class if you actually try.

Loved taking developmental psychology with professor Gentzler. His lectures were interesting and relevant to the course material. Test heavy, but he provides a study guide and does review sessions day of test and a zoom review session 3-4 days before the test. He is also very accommodating and understanding as long as you communicate.

The teacher gives a lot of examples to help you understand the topics. The quizzes are online, but they're open notes. The exams are in person and are easy to get a good grade on if you study the material. There are zoom reviews to help study for the exams. He is very funny to listen to. He is also very caring. He offers help if needed.

I took him twice, if i could, I would choose him for all my Psychology classes. He is AWESOME! His class its easy, just take notes of everything he says. He does 4 exams in total in class (paper) and you have to put effort for the exams, but he gives zoom reviews and quizzes for you to succeed. Just study everything he says on zoom! Love him. Easy.

He's very funny and makes the class genuinely fun and teaches in a way that's easy to understand and learn. He spends about 10 minutes going over what happened in the previous class. Also, he will tell you that he'll give extra credit but doesn't actually end up giving it to you which is really annoying but other than that he's really cool.

I took Marc for PSY 101 and I enjoyed going to class and listening to the lecture, his lecture was very informative and funny at times. He's a great professor and if you have to take this course he's the only professor I'd recommend.

Omg this is my favorite professor! He does his lectures through videos live and recorded.they are pretty long but it's entertaining, he makes funny jokes along the way. His discussions are easy and hw.Tests and quizzes are based of his lectures so make sure to watch them. When he grades he makes sure to give feedback so you can improve. Fun class!!

I have taken 2 classes with this professor, he is kind, funny, and keeps class interesting. His assignments are straightforward and easy. He grades fair and is very understanding. I honestly can't recommend him enough!

He is an amazing teacher, the way he teaches makes psychology fun! We have quizzes weekly which are so easy if you take notes in class, don't bother trying to cheat because he writes his questions but honestly, it's such an easy class. There is also no final! :)

I honestly have to say this class was the most interesting class I've ever taken in college! His lectures are so interesting and very engaging so you dont get bored. I learned so much in this course. His recorded/normal lectures are imporant when it comes to getting a good grade on the quizzes.Take his class you won't regret it!

One of the best professors I've taken a class with. Work load is manageable and the content is interesting. Only issue I can think of are his quizzes which are weighted heavy so keep that in mind. 50% of your grade.

Very laid back professor as long as you complete your assignments. He does video lectures that can be long but very informative.

My second time taking this professor, he is very understanding as long as you show effort. Attendance was mandatory on zoom in order to receive good grade. Assignments are videos of you talking for 5 mins like once a week and a multiple choice test. No final.

Incredibly funny and he looks out for his students. His lectures are pretty heavy but that's because there's just a lot of content to cover in psychology. There's test (open book) after each chapter that's taught. The test IS your homework apart from some discussions. I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for a Psych class to take.

I love this guy! Lectures are funny and often relatable. He was doing them live over zoom for a while and then posting it later that evening. Exams are half of your grade but do the rest + take notes on the lectures, you should be fine. Easy class, would've had a higher grade but I took focus from this class for one that I was really struggling in.

Amazing professor! Took general psychology and it was so interesting. He releases one quiz per chapter along with lectures to listen to and take notes on with an adequate amount of time before quiz due dates. He also posts discussions and occasional activities that are fun and not time consuming. SO funny! Please take!!

Dr. Gentzler had only one flaw, in my opinion: He often spent a long time explaining things and making a lot of analogies, and it made focusing for a long time more difficult. If you can get over that, you got nothing to worry about. He loves what he does, and gives thorough test reviews shortly before the test. Honestly almost impossible to fail.

He's so sweet and I loved his class because he was actually teaching us and he had so many fun activities for us to do in class. The only thing I have to say is that you have to study for his exams because they are paper based 50 questions. But if you actually do your work and want to learn take him!

Loved this class! It was all self-paced, so it gave you time to go through the modules on your own schedule. The quizzes are based on the lectures, so take notes and it'll be fine. The lectures do get long, but he posts the slides and a study guide to go along with them. The assignments are mainly discussion posts, which were simple as well.
