I thought Mr. Love was a good teacher. He kind of makes you read a lot in class but its not that big of a deal. He's very helpful. You could go early or stay after class to ask for help and he'd always be there to answer any questions. He's not strict and his grading is organized. The quizzes were easy & the papers were o.k. I would recommend him.

I loved his class. He is extremely helpful and very informative. He helps expand on what you should already had learned in ENC1101. Hes very friendly and outgoing. Show up to class and do the assignments and you'll be just fine.

So cute and so much fun! Yes you had to do a lot of WebCT, which I personally think is stupid and distant, but he had once a week assignments and there were 6 of them. If you didn't do half to them on time there were three make-up assignments. Easy as pie. And so much fun when we came to class! Honestly I didn't learn a ton, but had lots of fun. :)

Only a few writing assignments that were easy and assigned one week at a time. Class was fun, all we did in class was joke around and go over what we read over the week and then take a short quiz and since we went over it, the quizzes were easier and the quizes were only 5 questions. If i had to take anymore ENC classes i would with him

Maybe it's because of my advanced english/composition background, but I feel like I'm in a prep class. It's BORING. I could sleep through this class and pass with an A. It's stuff we learned in 8-9th grade. Comma splices, sentence fragments... Come on! Nice guy, knowledgeable, helpful but if you're looking to be challenged, look elsewhere.

This class was an easy 'A' if you write your 4 essays(your 5th essay is the final) and do the 3 modules. You have a couple online quizzes but the answers are right in the book.I did all my quizzes in one day. A little bit of peer reviewing thats worth 30 pts. but that is it. EASY EASY EASY CLASS! Take him if you need an easy ONLINE ENC1101!! ;-)

He is willing to work with you. Also very easy to communicate with. He makes it very clear what is expected!

I took this flex start summer class online. Three learning modules in addition to five writing assignment. He was very helpful and answered e-mail timely. Good class to take online because he's very organized. You know what to expect from the syllabus. He's a great teacher.

I took this class online and thought it was pretty easy. Assignments consisted of 5 essays with specific deadlines (the last one was the final), and 3 learning modules that were self paced. There were also a few quizzes from the book. I highly recommend this professor.

This class was easy. Assignments consisted of 4 essays. A couple of the essays were a little more difficult, but still not terrible. The final is an essay and there is an optional 5th essay that counts as extra credit. In addition to the essays there were also 3 discussions and 3 learning modules that were due by the end of the semester.

Mr. Love is very good about answering questions. I had him for an online class and loved it.

He is an easy grader if you follow directions. You can't BS an essay in one night cause it's required to have it proofread before turning in. The online class (which I took) has no deadlines except journal entries and essay submissions. Everything else you have till the end of the semester to finish. I ended up getting between 92-94 on all essays.

I took this class online. He was very helpful! He was very clear on what he expected of the class. He had three papers and he lets everyone work together, he has a few quizzes, but they are super easy! I would recommend him to anyone!

Professor Love is AWESOME! I took his online class. All your work for the semester is laid out. As long as you do the journal entries, discussions, and your essays (which have to be proofread by classmates before you can turn them in), you will pass this class. If you fail his class, it's your own fault for not following directions!

Professor Love is the best professor I've taken at VCC. I had such a great time in 1101 that I just had to take him for 1102. All his quizzes you do on your OWN TIME! You have to do a journal and peer editing within a certain time frame but that is the least of it all. Overall I'd take him again and again and again.

I took this class online. He is a very good and understanding professor. Every month one essay was due and if you dont do well on your essays there are extra credits available. Great Teacher I would suggest him to every student out there.

I had love online, he is so nice. The class is really easy, just 3 essays and some discussions and easy quizzes. Though i wouldnt recommend him, if you are a terrible writer, its not really a class to teach how to write, more to execute your writing skills. But super easy, take him.

I enjoyed learning with Professor Love. I took an online course. He gives good feedback on your essays. Only essay's are dated. Rest of the work you can do at your own pace. His grading is not harsh. Responds very quickly. I am planning to take ENC1102 in the fall semester with him. I would definitely recommend him.

Took him for Comp I and Comp II. He is a great teacher and would recommend. I took both classes online and never had any problems. He is clear from day one on how he wants it done. Very easy to reach and ask questions. Take him.

online class: not too much writing for an english comp class. Easy A for me, just kept up with the work and managed my time well, if you can't do that then don't take him. Has both at-your-own pace work and scheduled work. Book use is required.

I took Professor Love's ENC1101 online class and thought he was great, so I took his ENC1102 class. I was very disappointed. The class is IDENTICAL to ENC1101 with the exception that 3 essay prompts are different. I learned absolutely nothing in this course and felt that it was a waste of time and money.

I think overall it was a easy class. I took him online and all the work was self paced with 4 essays and some assignments and quizzes.There wasn't alot of work and he doesn't grade the assignments harshly. Prof. Love is an excellent professor who cares about his students and their progress. Although there are many writing assignments, he puts a lot of creative effort to keep you engaged and motivated. Start off strong by completing as many self-paced assignments so you aren't trying to catch up at the end. Books are required. Take his class!

I took this class ON-LINE and I was so glad I chose Professor Love. The class is organized,great point system, just a few mandatory assignments with efficient due dates and self paced work due before the end of the term. Professor had many materials prepared but there were a few conflicts in what what stated in one area as opposed to another area. But overall Professor is fair and helpful.

Professor Love is a great professor. He is a fair grader and the class is not too hard. I am glad I took him. He does accept late work but will deduct points; I would take him again

ONLINE class isnt awful just really be on top of due date and the self paced work. He was a really nice professor, approachable and helpful. Offered a great deal of extra credit. This is a time consuming class, its important to have time and dedication. Lots of peer- editing, you HAVE TO HAVE 2 PEER EDITS IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR PAPER GRADED

I really enjoyed taking Professor Love's class. I learned a lot about grammar and literature. It's a very organized and self-paced class. You need two classmates to proofread your essay in order to submit it for a grade. He gives a lot of extra credit. You have to do a lot of assignments, but most of them are self-paced and easy. Be ready to write!

A lot of his assignments are self paced & you never have to set foot on the campus once. Easy class, he's there if you need anything. Gives great feedback on assignments. You do have to peer edit two essays but I didn't mind that. I actually found it really helpful to have my peers check my essays before I turn it in. Helps you get a better grade.

You have 4 essays to write, a few e-journals, and plenty discussion posts with a response to a colleague. Most of the work is on your own pace, you just can't forget to do them at the end of the course. He grades everything at the end of the semester so you don't know your grade is until the end which is terrifying. But he is overall great.

I took this professor, online, twice for comp I and comp II and I will take him any time, and recommend him to anyone. He gives four essays, which includes the final one, and those are the ones that are graded. As long as you participate in the discussions, he will give you full credit, and gives you three extra credit assignments. Easy A!

I took this professor online for Freshman Comp 1 and hopefully will have him again for comp 2. He gives us four essays (Final Exam Essay is the last one) and those are the major grades in the class. He provides great helpful feedback that has greatly improved my writing skills. As long as you participate in class and submit you'll love your grade.

I am a dual enrollment student and I took this Professor online. He gave out clear instructions on what your essay should include. Final exam was a reflective essay on the course. Also, his comments genuinely helped me become a better writer. The work was fairly simple. We had a few essays and just had to respond and peer edit others' essays. Easy.

I took Freshman Comp I with Professor Love online and it was great. Most of the assignments are self- paced. The course also consists of 3 mandatory essays, and 1 additional essay that counts as your final. Overall, the class is pretty easy. Just make sure you do the work and meet the requirements and you will do fine.

This dude is legit. A lot of Herman Melville in his fresh comp II class, I just listened to the audiobooks. Great class, a lot of assignments are at your own pace. Take it, you won't regret it.

There 1 to 2 assignments but they are very easy. There are 4 essays in total. He grades relatively easy. He does take a while to put in grades. Even though he made us read a lot of articles and stories they were all pretty interesting. Some of his assignments don't have a due date so you have time to get them done whenever you want.

It's a very easy class to take but there are self-paced assignments so you have to stay responsible to a degree.

Took him online for Freshman Comp 1 and just signed up for him again for Freshman Comp 2.

His online class is an easy A if you're doing the work correctly and turn it in on time. Although he waits till the end of the semester to grade all the assignments.

Easy A+ as long as you do ALL assignments. Work ahead as much as you can and be sure not to forget MANDATORY assignments. Post discussions and respond to others. You are pretty much doing his work by viewing and commenting on other classmates assignments. Not much has changed to his syllabus from reading others posts on here. (Just follow his PDF)

Took comp 1 & 2. Pretty easy, do all assignments for A. Missed critical thinking in comp 1 and got a B. All assignments in comp 1& 2 are exactly the same, diff essay prompts. Final is the same for both. Not very communicative. Doesn't grade anything until semester is over(almost all 100s) except the 3 essays graded b4. Talks fancier than he grades.

Super easy teacher he doesn't grade until the end of the semester but he gives you a good grade. I was worried at first but it turns out he is super chill. I fail all the quizzes on purpose did 2 extra credit that is super simple and i ended up with 120% and my 3 essays where ok he gave me A on ll of them. He is not a though grader.

He was very nice. There are 4 essays throughout the semester including the final essay which is just a reflection of the class. There is no midterm. Easy class!

His due dates are specific and you have so much time to work on and do all of them. The assignments are easy. There are 4 essays, no midterm. Take this class if you want an easy A!

He was a great teacher that graded pretty easily. Each module had an essay, discussion post, and a journal entry which was kinda fun to do. I really enjoyed doing the journal entry because we were allowed to write about whatever we wanted as long as we wrote 250 words. The final exam was also super easy and he offers extra credit. I recommend him!

The schedule provided by this professor has been the best one yet. It is not at all stressful and gives you a lot of time to complete your assignments. There is only 3 papers and the final exam. The rest of the assignments are discussion posts.

This class is a pretty easy A. There are 3 three-page essays and quite a few discussion posts and journals, which can be about anything and easy quizzes. So it is quite a bit of writing, but as long as you reach the page/word count and follow the rubric, you'll be fine since he's a pretty easy grader! The pdf with due dates is a bit tedious though.

His assignments aren't difficult, but if you don't enjoy writing, this might not be the best class for you. However, he provides plenty of time to complete all of the tasks. His syllabus includes all of the due dates, but he keeps them open until the end of the semester without deducting points. His feedback on essays is very detailed and helpful.

Took time to grade essays, only four essays plus the final essay, which is just a review of your course experience. Overall, it is easy to work with lots of time. Also an easy grader, the lowest grade I got on an essay was a 96.

Very easy online class that's almost at your own pace (due dates for assignments are found on syllabus), many people rate him badly because he doesn't respond to emails but to be honest there isn't much to be confused about. His lectures consist of 5 journal entries throughout the semester, 4 essays and beginner grammar quizzes nothing complicated.

Professor Love was very clear about assignments from the beginning of the semester. You have self paced quizzes that I completed at the beginning of the semester. There are 3 essays and you have to have it peer reviewed first by 2 or more people. The Journals are fun to do and he provides excellent essay feedback. Definitely RECCOMEND!

Honestly all you have to do is your work and you should be fine, about 3 essays, and the final one was just a review of what you learned, great professor!

One of the best professors I've had. Multiple extra credit assignments are available, but I didn't need to use them. Shows the assignments are pretty straightforward. Max 4 essays, including Final, while being 3/4 pages, which didn't feel long because the topics were very interesting(alien conspiracy). He gives great feedback on assignments. 10/10!

Marc Love is the best professor I've taken as a dual enrollment student with valencia college. He gives interesting essay prompts, MANY easy extra credit opportunities, and is very flexible. Professor Love genuinely wants his students to pass and if you follow all of his directions you'll have absolutely no problem passing his class with an A.

He is a good professor but it's just very confusing because he does not have date due for assignments which I do prefer and also I have no idea what my grade is but he is a chill teacher and you need to be looking at deadline in the syllabus or you will miss assignments but yeah not that bad

Get ready to write about aliens and other unusual topics. Some modules aren't up to date with his current requirements, and the assignments don't always match the modules, so double-check you're doing the right work. Also check the due dates in the Syllabus. Overall, it's an easy A if you put in the effort.
