he thinks he's funny but he really isn't all the time. in my opinion he's an ok teacher.
Mr. Sanchez needs to slow down and make sure we understand what he talks about. He also need to help student according to their question, not according to his schedule.
mr. sanchez needs to consider students situations he really doesnt care about waht the students are going thru.he is the most difficult college professor i have ever had, grading wise
Mr. Sanchez is a good teacher. He doesn't always notice if you have a question or don't understand something, so be sure to speak up. His grading is very easy, lenient even. He tries to make it fun with some, yes sometimes lame, jokes. But he puts forth a great effort to help us. All you have to do is use that to your advantage. That's your job.
Who said his jokes were lame? Nemo rocks. The class subject matter is hard, not his grading. Lately, he has been pretty nice about grading, but oves qucickly. Pay attention or get lost. I loove forward to the class.
Sanchez tries to get people to participate in class, but the students are unresponsive. He is a great guy, and an effective teacher.
Hey, Sanchez is cool. I want to respond to the person a few comments below who says Sanchez wrote a comment. What are you saying about students and how they write? Just because we go to RCC doesn't mean we are ALL stupid!
Sanchez has uninflated grading. It separates the men from the boys and provides a realistic look at your performance. All those who complain about Sanchez probably have delusions of grandeur. As for his curriculum,I particularly like how he broke up the monotony of cartesian planes.I think Sanchez is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend him.

his class consists of getting there, sitting taking notes and then leaving. he's clear but kinda fast paced and no real interest in you personally. not the type to go over questions more than once, he want to give the notes and leave. ..eh..wouldnt take him again
Very fast paced, but very good and nice teacher. Tries to be funny, but make sure you show up and stay for the whole session. Takes role two or more times if people come and go during class. He will chat with you if he has the time. Posts homework and test grades on his website so you'll know how you're doing. I'd take other classes taught by him.
very goog teacher, try's very hard to get the student to learn in a fun way. Nice guy, but try not to be late for class.
Sanchez is an awesome professor....he's very straight forward, easygoing and he's very clear on his examples. He's very helpful and he'd explain as many times as necessary. His class is very well structured, and he DOES talk whenever there is extra time. He does expect you to be there everyday on time though.
way too fast..not helpful at all..goes crazy when you talk in class..he once mistaken a girl for talking and kicked her out of class..i know because i was the one talking...gets confused with solving the problems than taking 10mins to think about it before we do it for him..goes off subject and talks bout "24"..iwant an easy F?..DO NOT TAKE HIM
Not only is the book a better teacher, it also has a better personality.
He doesn't have any confidence. He tries to cover the fact that he doesn't know what he is talking about. He should teach arithmatic, not trig. Why doesn't someone fire him. He is a nice man though.

boring, trys to be funny when really hes LAME, too fast when hes xplaining something, he gets lost, to many mistakes, dosnt cover a lot of stuff in test... want an F take him ...
This class was difficult; especially with a full schedule. Do not take this class if you have other options in your schedule to take another professor.
Mr. Sanchez is a really good teacher. I took a 3 hour class with him and it was my favorite class because he jokes a lot, but doesn't neglect teaching. He explains things until everyone understands. The only thing that might be a downfall (for bad test takers like myself) is that the tests are a large portion of your grade.
Sanchez'es class is a little boring, but he is really kind and is always ready to help when you don't get it. He is easy to understand. His test are not too hard as long as you study. There is a lot of homework, but he grades it fairly and gives you plenty of chances to revise it and get more points. Overall I think he is a good teacher.
Mr. Sanchez is an overall nice guy. IF you have trouble keeping up with a fast face class, do not take it over the summer or the late start. Lots of HW, but expected in a math class. Tests were moderately hard. Make sure you study really hard for midterms as he sometimes tries to confuse you. Good luck
i took this class during winter along with another 3 unit class. sanchez was easy to understand, clear & fun. lots of hw but, hey, it's math. he cares about how well you do in his class if you care how well you do in his class. i wish he taught calculus!
Sanchez comes off hard in the beginning to make sure he has control of his class. Took him Spring on a FstTrk. He is very fast and will skip steps to move along. I am usually an A student, got a B, oh, well. He feels final exam is too hard, it is, and is trying to get it changed. Study well for it. He dropped more low scores than he said he would.
He will bring up your past and distract you from class. He Talked about his daughter, and a lady who collected ****roaches. he went off topic about every five minutes and in between his stuttering you could possibly learn something. I swear that after this class I learned more about him then i did the class. If your not a math genius good luck!
This was the first time I took a math class and left feeling like I knew the subject. Sanchez is thorough, and cares whether or not you get the subject. He does give tons of work and daily quizes, but the end result is you KNOW the material, instead of just retaining it for the test. If you stick with him, you'll learn, bottom line.
sanchez means alot of homework and not just regular homework. you have to right all of the directions. that means if there is a long work problem lets say 5 to 7 sentences , so you have to write it down. so, you might probably waist alot time doing homework. tests are extremely hard i would say. hardness of the test is not because of the material b
Mr. Sanchez hands out a ton of homework, but it's worth it. Very fair grader and he will do everything he can to help you pass.
Fast, and hard. Lots of work.
Mr. Sanchez is tough and has control issues. The lectures do not correlate with the test or quizzes most of the time. It seems like he wants people to do poorly. Their was one test where the whole class did poorly and he did not adjust his teaching methods. It is all about his way or get out. Find another professor period.
Sanchez can take some getting used to, but once I made sure to do all the homework and talk to him when I had problems I got an A. No more homework than other math classes I've taken.
Taken Summer 2008 PRO: Relearned some of the math i forgot in Highschool. CONS: Very hard grader on test, the smallest detail, Even if the answer is correct, but not in his style your wrong. Its his way or the highway. Not very clear on due dates, follow the syilibus never his words, he changes his mind often on due dates. No fun only learn
Nice teacher but his notes are not helpful, he only gives examples but does not write out how to get the answers. very difficult to follow and understand. Has a slight accent but not to hard to understand.
In many respects he was awful. He would come to class many times unprepared to teach, and when students would ask him questions about proofs, he couldn't answer some of them and he said "I wasn't prepared to answer that question." tries to teach other proofs but gets lost with them. He is very stingy with grades even though it is partly his fault.
I don't recommend this teacher at all. Assigns way too much homework, tests are semi-difficult. Never curves the tests even when half of the class did horrible. He is a perfectionist, deducts points on quizzes & tests for irrelevant things, like when answers aren't written his way. Overall, tough teacher. Just way too.. ANAL. Seriously.
i HIGHLY dislike this teacher, probably the worst one i've had! take this teacher if you were born a genius in math and not taking other classes. he acts like us students don't have a life other than taking his class. it's the LAST week of class before finals and we still have a TEST, QUIZ, and a sh*tload of hw to do. what an A**!
He is nice and respectful but do not take the class if you have a full load and he makes a lot of corny jokes.
I personally did not like his teaching style; he often skipped steps on problems assuming that we already knew how to do it. He made the class harder than it really was. I ended up dropping for the first time during my 2 years at RCC, which made me dislike the teacher even more. Take Ryan Yamada at Norco, worth the trip, best Math teacher.
I don't think it's possible to ace one of his tests. Here's an example of his mindset: On a word problem dealing with a business's profits based on sales price, the question asks what the maximum amount of money they could make. Simple max function. I put $XXXXX, and lost points because I didn't state "the max value of the function is..".
I was in the same class the rater two below me took, and I was lucky --no, VERY LUCKY-- to get an A in his class. If you take a class with him in the winter or summer, prepare to sacrifice pretty much your entire social life because he gives tons of homework, the tests are extremely difficult, and this course may consume you. Cool guy, but tough!
he is strict but he is not boring and he makes sure u LEARN the math, he explains it pretty well
Mr.Sanchez is very stubborn,as far as the homework goes,he makes you write out the book for no GOOD reason,i could understand the math problems, because you have to show your work, but to actually write out the word problems"UNNECESSARY",who's he trying to make it easier the students or HIMSELF,that's the only problem i have with him.
Don't buy the textbook! The entire textbook is online at the Math Lab. He moves a little fast paced, but just write notes you can come back to. Write down everything on the board. He's a nice teacher and teaches just fine, just don't talk during class or he'll get pissed.
If you intend to do well in his class, forget it. His quizzes & tests are completely unrelated to each other and have little to do w/the hw. He makes his tests that way so you have to "think." If you ask him a hw question, there is no guarantee that he has seen it before assigning it to you, much less know how to solve it. Good luck if take him.
Nobody like this guy. It's funny. He's a good teacher it's just on the student to do the work and study. I could of gotten an A but I didnt study fot his final so I got a B+. He's straight forward teacher. 4 test and a final. You get online HW and book HW. All the HW counts for points so u can mess up on test here and there.
This teacher made it super easy to learn math as long as you do the HW he does give you A LOT of hw but it helps a lot when it comes to the test and quizzes usually his quizzes are harder than the test so use them as review and take advantage of his review day I went back to take Pre cal with him both classes got A?s
hes a nice guy but is very picky on test and hw. teaching style moves really fast and expects you to know prior steps
He is the worst teacher I have ever seen at Rcc. He is a lazy, rigid, helpless and marblehearted teacher. He always can't solve the problem which you ask him. His exam is terrible difficult. you have to work very hard in order to pass.He doesn't care about student's sucess. If you are not a genius of maths, please forget about this teacher.
I enjoyed his class very much, he is a helpful and friendly guy. His tests can be difficult but if you know the concepts, do the homework, and work carefully they are not too bad. Go to the SI sessions for extra help, 1B is quite challenging!
at first he seems really cool! BUT THEN! OH HELL N0! he changes. hes hard and picky and expects you to know everything and moves to fast! VERY PICKY! but good teacher. but i would never take him again!
Hes a good techer. he seems intimidating at first. he gives alot of homework and the test are hard. but hes a nice teacher hes helpful whenever you need something to be clarified.im not good at math at all but i passed with a B.
WELL I TOOK HIS MATH 52 CLASS FOR FALL HES A NICE TEACHER AND IS HELPFUL IF YOU NEED HELP.ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AND ITS NOT AS HARD AS IT SEEMS. HE DOES GIVE YOU ALOOT OF HOMEWORK.I THOUGHT I WASNT GOING TO PASS BUT SUPRISINGLY I DID.
He is tough on you. Can be really picky sometimes so be careful. However, he is a really cool guy as long as you're not an immature little kid. I could tell he has to deal with a lot of those so I don't blame him. Be cool with him and he'll cut you some slack. Homework is a lot but it's fine because Mat-35 was easy, for me anyway.
Great Professor
LOADS of hW, he says it is required but it does not help your grade, so dont bother. he takes 1 month usually to return tests, so we never know how were doing neither does he! good luck
Horrible Teacher, Horrible experience. Feedback is essential for math, but Mr.S's feedback and return policy is a complete joke. It's typical for him to pass tests back after the next test has arrived or after. He assigns tons of homework from the book (which isn't graded) and teaches from the book yet test are nothing like the homework or lectures
Worst teacher ever! Beware!! He takes years to pass back tests, which are completely different from the tons of homework he assigns and the lectures are full of the easy examples, completely unlike the tests! He releases grades after its too late to register for class, if you have to take it again. He has absolutely no concern for his students.
The worst teacher ever . he takes forever to give you your test back, and his not organized at all . dont take this teacher class and especially if your a foreign student .
worst teacher ever, seemed like a nice guy at first, but soon changed. tons of homework, he doesn't even grade it, just checks off that its complete, it took him 2 weeks to return our test. By that point the withdraw was already passed. tests DO NOT reflect anything he covers in class. do not take this professor, and do not take 6 week course
He is a nice guy but there is A LOT of homework!! He takes a long time to return your test scores (2 weeks about) and he only graded half the homework. The other half if you turned it in you got full credit. But he tells you when all the tutoring hours are. If you dont mind lots of work or the long time to receive test scores then its a good class
he is the worst math teacher i've ever had. he tests on stuff that we never covered in class and never appeared in the homework or was in the textbook. takes forever to give back tests and never actually grades the homework. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
Mr. Sanchez really cares about making sure that you learn the material. The work can get hard, but it's good for you. If you actually want to learn the subject, then I suggest taking him. His office hours and tutoring appointments are extremely helpful, too. I regret I had to drop the class because I was taking too many hard classes at once. :(
He is a decent teacher, but gives tons of homework.
he gives really good notes, but lectures can be a bit dense and boring. tests can are difficult but if you understand the concepts you should be ok. he takes a lifetime to give back tests and homework.
He is a really good teacher. He explains the information very well. However his tests are fairly difficult and he takes an outrageous amount of time to pass back tests.
It is pretty easy to understand what he teaches. He lets the students use a 5x7 Index card during tests. He spends 1 hour per class helping with the homework. Excellent teacher, but if you are not ready, his test will be hard.
Great teacher, but tests are very hard. I understood all the concepts in homework and lecture yet on the test it was like a different language. his questions on tests are very vague. lots of hmwk but it was easy most of the time. takes forever to grade tests and pass back hmwk.
very helpful professor! this class is not hard, and he lets you bring a note card to the test.
Horrible teacher.
He's a nice guy, teaches really well, but he gives tons of work. If you're willing to do the work, you'll pass easily.
Tests are extremely hard! But other than that he is really helpful.
Not a very good professor. At times seemed more concerned with his family life than the progress of his students. Cancelled class twice during the summer... not good.
Slow paced for the level he was teaching. Homework did not match the notes and when explaining things, went in circles which was extremely confusing. I've never failed an exam in any subject before his class and I completely bombed his first exam because that's how little I learned from him.
His online homework and tests were easy but in class tests were DIFFICULT. Gives tons of homework! He gives good notes and is a nice teacher. If it wasn't for the super hard tests in class i would of never had to drop.
His tests are hard. He takes about 3 weeks to grade them and hand them back! He skips steps in the problems From his notes and assumes everyone knows what he's doing. He does give a lot of notes but when you do the homework the notes don't always match. Just not the best at explaining what he's doing.
Good teacher, very knowledgeable in math. He is a little bit awkward sometimes and can go too fast for some students. Easy enough to follow though. If you want an A do ALL your HW both written and online. I got an A on all my tests but a B in the class due to HW :p good teacher overall though i would take him again.
If you really care about your GPA, do not take this class. He is one of those professors who assumes that he needs to fail as many students as possible in order to get prestige. He misses class, but he still expects students to know the material he never teaches. I don't recommend anybody to take his class. He is horrible.
I don't recommend this teacher. Although he has been teaching for 20 something years, it is still notable that he doesn't not fully comprehend multi-variable calc. He can't even graph simple paraboloids. Take someone else.
teacher is horrible! homework is completely different than notes taken in class ended up teaching myself by reading the book! stay away from this guy, he is only in it for the pay
Stay away from this guy! He cannot teach calc. 3. His lectures are confusing and he rambles. We did not normally get our tests back till nearly a month after we took them because he says he has better things to do than grade them! As a result its nearly impossible to gauge what your grade is in the class. Avoid this professor!!
Don't take him in summer or winter, just save yourself and take Trig in the Fall or Spring. This class is difficult overall no matter who you pick. His lectures are on board but his writing is hard to see or understand. Web Assign homework you have to do and book work. For BW, you have to show work but not web assign.
I started his class two weeks after the semester began. He was really helpful. I didn't do any of the book work, but I recommend you do it. In order for you to really pass is that you want to have to learn. Do all your work and attend class or you will fall behind quick. He rarely ever cancels class. If you put in the effort it will benefit u
Worst math teacher i have taken at rcc. He cannot teach this class and his test are either super hard or the questions do not have rational answers. Do not take him for multivariable calculus
He is truly the worst math teacher I have ever had. Tries to make stats more confusing than it really is. Tests were different than what we learned in class. Be prepared to take mindless notes, then fail the exams after hours of studying. Seems like he doesn't understand the material himself. Never responds to emails. Never passes back exams.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I am good at math and I got a D. Read the other reviews, this guy fails you just to fail you! Tests are worded to confuse you!
I added his class because it was the only one open what with the horrible registration dates. Don't make the same mistake I made. I should have read his reviews, dropped the class, and waiting until next semester to take another professor. His class is always the last one to fill up and now you know why.
notes given in class are way off from the homework. His syllabus says that he reviews before each test but he doesn't follow that at all. it's hard to gauge your grade in his class due to the fact that he doesn't give back test or feedback. Don't ask for an example, or you will get the comment "Thats What The Homework's For". Avoid at all cost
Mr Sanchez is a good teacher. He's detailed in his notes in class and shows different ways to work a problem out in case you learn differently from someone else. Homework seems like a lot, but helps you learn. And if you aren't doing so well on the tests, it will help bump your grade up. Always open to help with questions. Would take again.
Avoid, especially for the more advanced math classes. Your GPA may suffer. There was not one time when he wasn't a couple minutes late to class. His lectures are just terrible, from how he explains things to how he presents the material on the board. He takes at least 4 weeks to return tests. No exam reviews. His exams are NOT based on homework.
What else is there to say that hasn't already been said? Makes the material a lot harder to grasp than it should be, purposefully throws curve ball questions on tests, no reviews, homework and lectures nothing to do with tests, textbook not an easy read. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! WE WENT FROM 40 STUDENTS TO LESS THAN 20 BY THE END OF THE SEMESTER!
professor sanchez was super nice and always willing to help me when i had questions i have always struggled with math and had a hard time understanding formulas, however his class helped me succeed. got an a on two tests and a c on two, did all homework and ended with a B+. he is there to help you succeed if you truly give an effort.
Took his class in the Summer, 6 week course and I got an A. This class can be easy if you do the work and study for the Test.
Everyone is being a bit dramatic. He does not explain the material as well as some other professors; however, it is not terrible. You really do have to do the homework if you want to truly grasp the material. You must ask questions. And keep asking until you are absolutely sure of yourself. Otherwise he will move on and leave you behind.
Mr. Sanchez is a pretty good Math teacher, I now understand a little more of the material. He wants you to pass the class, but won't sugar coat it, you have to work for it. The key is to do ALL of your homework, and pass at least two of the exams.
He wants you to solve the problem his way or he takes points of your test. Do not take him unless you want your gpa to go down.
He's a good teacher. His teaching style is amazing, but he's a little disorganized. Also, I got an A on one exam B on another & then a D, but I did all my hw. I was expected to get at least a C, but I got a D. There were students in the class that got worse test grades & didn't do their hw, but got a D in the class as well. Not sure how he grades
Marc was hard to follow when he lectured and he expected us to know how to solve all of the equations after only being shown 1 (which he solved quickly/unclearly). He always made me feel dumb for not knowing the answers. Eventually I jus dropped the class because he made it too hard!
Good at lecturing but is terrible when reflecting what he taught the class with what is on the exams. The hw and exams have almost nothing related besides being in the subject of math.
Explains concepts in a basic fashion then will test you on something completely unrelated or something you didn't go over. Would never take his class again, save your gpa and avoid him at all cost.
Disclaimer: Took him during Winter term. His lectures are very disorganized and he's difficult to follow. He does both textbook homework and online homework. He is very picky on tests. He's extremely hard to follow in class so no I do not recommend.
Very difficult professor. Will constantly go off topic and is hard to follow. Gives far too much hw which is somewhat easy but will not come near what his tests are like. Will never take a class with him again.
Expect lots of homework that will not help you on the exams. His final is cumulative but will not once ever give a study guide or at least give you an idea on what the tests are like. Not helpful whatsoever, unless you want your GPA to suffer, stay away from him.
This teacher is probably the worse teacher to take. he gave notes in a extremely disorganized manner and often side track to other conversations. he gives a lot of online and written homework, and doesn't grade it properly. i went to the math lab for over 60 hours and ended up failing the class. He is too picky on the test. more to say but no space
I dont recommend sanchez. He doesnt help for those that have weaknesses present already in math. Homework is mandatory and 15% of your grade. You need to at least pass three test to get a B; four test to get an A. There are five test in total. He doesnt care about his students. And was telling us already; on his second test; about seeing him again.
TERRIBLE professor. Treats lower math classes much more co plea then they need to be. Didn't go over study guide like syllabus says. Majority of class fails out. Never taking again
Mark Sanchez is a top notch professor, if you'll like to excel at a top university like UC Berkeley take this professor for all of your math classes. It is not going to be any easier up there!
He is nice, and caring to the students. His lectures is easy to understand, the way he explain the formula is very clear and easy to remember. He offered a lot of homework, but it helped too much if you spend time to do it (you can remember the Math form). The test is exactly the same as homework. In conclusion, do homework and you can get an A
He grades very heavily on his tests. If you're not a natural at math I don't suggest taking him. His homework is online and there's a lot, but with time management you get used to it. He wants you to do the hw but it doesn't give you an A. I did most of them before I realized it didn't really do anything to my grade. Take advantage of tutoring.
If a 6 week term take him at your own risk. Did not give much homework but what he did give was easy leaving you unprepared for the test. His style was "practice easy, test hard" and his tests make up most of your grade so be prepared to do a ton of independent study and lots of extra homework to do great on tests since his assigned work is easy.
At this point in your educational career you cant really blame a teacher for your lack of understanding. There are ridiculous amounts of resources outside of class that can help you understand issues you may not be clear on. With that said, don't expect him to hold your hand. Lectures are very theory heavy, it's up to you to explore further.
Professor Sanchez is really caring, and he knows his stuff. Homework is kinda similar to exam. Do your homework and you will be fine. Highly recommend to take him.
I took him for the summer term, and it wasn't so bad. I'm not good at math so I expected a C, but I got an A. He makes sure to give more examples if you tell him you don't understand. He takes time to help you, so that makes him a great teacher. Homework is easy, tests aren't easy but they aren't extremely difficult either. Just study when you can.
Horrible professor. Study guides are so different than the tests. His exams are hard to understand what the question is even asking. He is so disorganized in the way he teaches. He switches back and forth from problems, confusing people. His test are way harder than the what he teaches and harder than hw, which by the way he gives A LOT.
He is one of the worst professors at the school. He doesn't prepare you for the tests nor does he give you back your homework or old tests (so absolutely zero feedback) , also does not post grades so you don't what your grade is in the class, he also assigns even numbered problems from the book so you cannot check your answer. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR!
Very nice guy, but a terrible teacher. You're going to spend a lot of time teaching yourself the material. Extremely disorganized and inconsistent. Tests and study guides are worlds apart and often aren't intelligible. Take at you're own risk. Or don't risk it at all and take someone else.
Worst professor ever
Becomes confused by his own notes, poor at explaning, his study guides and assigned homework are nothing like the tests, so you really are on your own when it comes to doing well in the class. Only take him if you can study new material on your own.
Only take this professor if you can learn the material on your own, he will not teach you for understanding OR to be able to pass his tests. He had TWO evaluations from other professors in this one semester, think about that. Nice guy but he should not be a math professor.
Probably the worst math professor I've ever had! He expects you to know everything on hw (which he gives a lot of) and tests even though his lectures only cover half the chapter. Tells us irrelevant info that relates to a formula instead of actually teaching us how to use the formula. Tries very hard to be funny even though he isn't.
Make sure you ask him plenty of questions during lectures for it to be worth a damn. All he will do are those exact practice problems from the text (word-for-word). On top of that, while you do your homework, try to be creative when guessing what might be on his test since he likes to have you think on the spot. Effort is REQUIRED->Not a bad thing
He is very unorganized with everything. The class is run as if it is a high school class. He expects you to know everything before we have even gone over it. He does not answer questions clearly and his online grading materials never work. A lot of the students receive zeros on online homework assignments after completing them multiple times.
He's very unorganized. Told us we would know our grade before drop deadline and never came through. Awful with grading and can't even explain the topics properly. I do not remember a time where I asked him for help and got a clear explanation. His homework will not prepare you for his tests, which are more difficult than they need to be. AVOID HIM.
Complete lack of interest shown in teaching students. We were left to learn on our own received no lectures from him, and no support. He only replies to emails 30% of the time. End of the term and I still have no idea where I stand in the class.
He doesn't show any effort in his lectures. Poor at explaining the material and notes are word-for-word from the text with little added. Loves to have test questions on materials outside of lecture and homework. He also has little patience for those who forgot some material from previous classes. You will have to study the material all on your own.
Literally the worst professor ever. took the whole semester to grade a test from the first 2 units. and he took the week before thanksgiving off and didnt give us any assignments and expected us to make them up the week before finals. we had a test due the day of the final because he took so long to teach all the material.
Horrible. He realizes mistakes late into examples and corrects himself which confuses u. Tough grader, if he questions ur work, u will get points off regardless if u got the right answer or right method, goes on tangents, flies thru work as if u already know it. Does not teach nor explain for confused students. FAST PACE when doing examples
Honestly do everything you can to avoid this professor. Truly one of the worst teachers at the school! You can learn the material better at home than sitting in his class. I'm not sure why someone so bad at and dispassionate about teaching is working as a professor...
He is a good person, but I do not think that he should continue teaching this course. His test formats are completely different from his homework and he is SUPER detail oriented in his MAT12 assignments and tests. Harsh grader and will mark off any small mistake. Makes a lot of mistakes on the handouts and homework assignments. Handwriting is messy
In my experience we fell behind and had to play catch up the rest of the semester. over half the class dropped by the end and everyone was always confused. He missed over a month of lecture period and used a textbook that did not correlate to his teaching. Test are very hard to understand nothing like classwork, outside tutoring is almost required.
The class was challenging because of the lack of consistency there was throughout the semester,he canceled class for almost a month for personal reasons, which is understandable, but still made it more challenging for students who were already behind. Taking his class will lead to students being affected by variables that are outside their control
Great guy.
WORST MATH PROFESSOR EVER!!! Do not take his course unless you want to be lost for the whole semester with a headache. He does not care for his students whatsoever. Would never take again and you have to pay for his course. He also waited to the last minute to reveal grades so people wouldn't drop his course. MAJOR RED FLAG!!!
I absolutely hated this class because of the lack of help I got during it and just the overall confusion. Also getting assigned 10 math assignments per week is crazy like i literally have other classes and stuff to do. I would not recommend this class unless you want to be confused and lost the entire time.
Honestly, this guy was miserable. IDK if he was going through a divorce or like a bankruptcy or something but he couldn't have been more disinterested in being there and I felt like he had active contempt for the people in class. Have since found better, happier teachers that helped their students get through a tough (for me) subject.
The class was a rollercoaster - the professor was hit-or-miss, but Unstuckstudy helped me stay on top of the material. Lectures could be inconsistent, but the textbook and extra tutoring made up for it. Overall, a challenging yet manageable course.
