She thinks that her class is the only one you are taking. Class is easy but she assigns bucket loads of work like readings, papers, worksheets. She expects you to read 7 passages during the 4 day weekend and write papers for all as well as an individual response. SHE THINKS YOU ARE TAKING NO OTHER CLASS literally.

Shes a good professor. She rarely gives A's but you can make up her assignments so basically you get a second chance. Not an easy A but its not impossible either. she posts on blackboard everything she does.

I took her my first semester. She is very understanding, so if you were to have any problems, just talk to her. When I started working, she understood when I had to leave early. She gives you the chance to write blogs. DO THEM. It's easy to get an A in her class, just do the work. She gives you chances to pass, though.

Mrs. Hebbard was a very sweet and generous professor. She is always willing to help her students and her homework assignments are extremely easy. She has no final exam, all she ask is just a portfolio of all your work. You also dont need a textbook. She's the best professor in utrgv, there are 3 main assignments throughout the semester. Make sure to save your work for the end for your portfolio, which counts for your exit of the course. Lots of homework but they are understandable and she will go beyond her lecture to make sure you understand what she is teaching. Accepts late work.

Took this professor for both ENGL1301 and 1302. She gives weekly readings the first couple of weeks but nothing hard. She is very understanding and will explain herself in detail if you're lost or confused. Very good experience with this professor and she's an easy grader!

One of the best professors I've had while attending UTRGV. She's very nice and puts a lot of work into her teaching and activities for her students. She's very understanding and lets you know what to fix in your work. Lots of group work and homework but don't let this scare you! She wants you to succeed. Just do your assignments and you'll pass.

You will frequently get into groups to help manage your work during the course. The class is easy if you go step by step not over rushing things. Professor is nice

Probably the best professor I've had so far! She puts more effort into this online course than I've seen other professors do in in-person classes. There is quite a bit of homework to do in this class but, in my experience, it's not just busy work and almost every assignment was used as a build up to the final essay. 10/10 would recommend.

I took this course fall 2020 semester and Hebbard was one of the best professors I had. Throughout the course we completed a few perusall readings, individual/group assignments, and wrote a research paper (can be written solo or w/ a group). She gives you enough time to do every assignment and makes work easy for you to complete. Highly recommend!!

I had a way better experience in English 1302 than I did in 1301. I've never really been fond of English class but Professor H was really good. She gives very good feedback and will try help students as much as possible. Very lenient grader. As long as you try and do the work you will be in bound for an A+. She's been one of my favorite professors.

The best professor I had. Normally, English courses are hard to follow due to the reading and essays, but in this course you'd look forward to attend class to learn how to do the week's assignment. I struggle meeting deadlines, but I didn't in this course, since she gives you more than enough time. If you hate English courses, highly recommended!

Professor Hebbard, is very caring and respectful. She gives a good amount of time for coursework and no exams. However, the coursework load is slightly heavy but definitely manageable if you don't procrastinate. Definitely recommend!

Not sure why Professor Hebbard has such low ratings. If you show up and do the work, you will do well in this class. The way she spread out the work over the semester made it very doable. Dr. Hebbard is most definitely a rating of 5/5! These low ratings are outdated. If you're doing online synchronously I'd recommend making it a priority to always make it to the zoom classes and participate! You don't want to fall behind since all the assignments are connected to one another. Easy A if you're willing to put in the work and time. <3

im not sure her ratings are so low, but she is one of the most easy-going and kind professors I've ever had. she explains every single assignment very clearly and goes out of her way to make sure that you understand. she is very inspiring and involved with her students. the assignments are not hard at all and you can ask her for help anytime.

Dr. Hebbard is one of the best professors I have taken so far. Yes she assigns weekly homework, but breaks it down and gives you estimations of how long it SHOULD take you. If you fail or cant keep up with her work it falls on you. Shes very friendly, provides snacks, and she does take attendance but as long as you do the work you should be fine.

Amazing professor, there is a group project that is worth a lot of points. The annotation assignments in the beginning of the semester can seem overwhelming but you're given plenty of time to complete them. So many opportunities to improve your grade.

Letting y'all know she is a 'BILINGUAL TEACHER', however; I don't know any spanish yet I got a A. I have learned a lot from course such as, how to analysis data, conduct surveys among students professionally and how to retain reading material affectively. Yes it is a lot of reading, but this course is doable. I am satisfied to have chosen Gina.

i've taken this course 3 times and never have i encountered such a nice professor. she gives a journal that you have to write in class notes for a grade and 1 research journal that you do in a span of 13 weeks. some assignments are a little time consuming but she gives so much time to complete work so you have to really do nothing to fail her class

The reviews that were left years ago are out dated, from reading those I can say she is nothing like that. She assigns homework like a small assignment for the week and a "big"assignment for the weekend however it does not take longer than 2 hours. But honestly just complete the work and you will pass, she is very lenient, just dont take advantage.

I had Dr H this semester for my first ever college english class and I can't be more satisfied. She is not only an amazing professor but also really caring towards her students. She gives a considerate amount of assignments, but as long as you dedicate some time and go to class it is overall very easy and enjoyable. I would 100% take her again.
