Best professor at Edison. She really cares for her students and is very pasasionate about the subject. She is very difficult so only take her if you are going into a feild concerning biology. I learned more in her class then all of high school. I definatly recommend!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed. She teaches very well. Best bio teacher at Edison- maybe not the easiest but hands down the best. She teaches you what you need to know not only understand basic bio, but to basically get into grad school :)
Really Hard class if you want an A. She doesn't give extra credit. She has traveled all over the world for research and therefore knows all about it. The labs were great with her because she taught us everything the manual would never mention, small but very important tips. Take the class only if you're into bio, since it is hard. She is super nice
I am glad she is my professor this semester. all my other professors are horrible so she is like a breath of fresh air. shes very nice and understanding and has a great personality. always smiling. she lectures alot but i enjoy how she has set up online homework.she is a great teacher. btw do not take m.p. robinson for comp! shes is horrible!
one of the hardest teachers i have ever had. she treats the class like it's some advanced science class when it's suppose to be an intro class. the tests are impossible. i would definitely recommend another professor.
She is the hardest teacher ever! the tests are impossible and she does not prepare you for the test. the reading assignments were hard as well! do not take her! she is so nice but does not know how to teach
OMG if you love to read text books and memorize everything in the chapters specially the diagrams she's the prof. for you. Does not give review for tests questions are tricky and very hard. She wants you to learn thing that are not covered in the class. I was confused most of time in her class Overall the class did so bad she had to curve all exam
Hardest professor I ever had. No prep for the test. She does not return emails unless she feels its important. Overall I would not suggest this professor to ANYONE.
This professor is horrible! She always thinks she is right, talks down to you if you ask a question or don't understand. Has no patients with students and learning. The tests deadlines were changed online, I received two zeros bc of this. Very rude rushes through chapters. I do NOT recommend her at all.
Hardest class ever its crazy!! I have only been in it for two weeks and she has already made me hate biology. I can tell you right now i will not pass this class. I have done great in all my classes with a gpa of 3.8. However it will go down due to her class. She acts like its an advaced course and its not supposed to be...just saying...
Best profesor! She expects a lot but she gives a lot. If you want to learn biology she is the best teacher, if you just want to pass, she is not the professor for you.
Took intro to Biology summer course. Hard class lots to cover but thought she was more than fair. I got an A.
Extremly difficult instructor.hardest teacher I EVER HAD!!!She also cuts you down in class & says you should have learned this in middle or high school when you ask a question.very fast pace & intense. She really talks down to you .Best advise I can give you is take another biology Professor for sure .Good Luck Everyone.
This instuctor's tests were meant for an ivy league school in a full semester, not for a state college mini semester. The odds are not good for a high grade unless you knew the material prior to taking the course. Be prepared for email notices from the prof. advising test dates are moved sooner than agreed in class. Not professional in my opinion.
If your used to multiple choice, you are SOL! try fill in the blank! she flies through powerpoints. never do this course during summer ( 3-4 chapters a week, test everyweek ) shes very specific in terminology. she takes points off for spelling. if you havent had any bio course goodluck
Dr.Trevino =hardest professor I have ever had. she doesn't like when you don't understand things .She degrades you in class & makes you feel like crap. her tests are extremely hard .She will also take off for spelling as well. tons of homework as well. The college should look@ the amount of students that withdrew&review her seriously
Very tough Prefessor .Tests are very hard .She seems nice at first but gets irratated easily for the students that do not understand .Very fast @going over things.I have to agree with the posts about going with another professor.she likes you if you are a biology major and understand her.You are doomed if you aren't!
WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! She was not helpful at all. Her test were too difficult. She was rude& degrating.Worst experience ever!
She does talk down to student, never had teacher do that; I thought students were suppose to ask questions. I had a hard time pay attention to her in class, mainly because tends to give excess information, which cause my mind to shut off. However, she gives a nice review. If you are a good reader and can get her to do a review, you should be fine.
interesting .she must had seen how many students dropped out & she started to do reviews to my surprise. She is not a helpful [email protected] think she likes to see students struggle.I dropped her before it was too late to get my money back .She is the worse professor ever !!!! DO NOT TAKE HER !!!!
Very kind teacher shows she cares and will do anything to help her students THAT WANT TO BE THERE! A lot of reading is required for this class like any other. Very knowledgeable and makes herself available. She is very clear of expectations. If you read the book and study the online quizzes you have absolutely no problems on tests! Overall Great!
The worse professor @ Edison !!!! Very different . She has her Ph.D and feels that we should know this stuff before coming into class. isn't that why we are taking the class???? Hmmmmm
Very difficult professor.I should have read her reviews before I took her.Hardest professor I ever had .
This is THE absolute WROST teacher that I have ever had. She talks down to students, is not helpful when you have a question, rarely responds to emails. The exams she creates have bad grammar and a few times, I've caught questions that were NOT covered in the text or lectures! I cannot believe she is still employed at this school!
If you are getting ready to sign up for spring classes don't take her. Doesn't explain things well expects you to know the material you are there to learn. Unprepared for class. Believe every review don't take her. We started with 50 by mid we have 35 in class. Average class grade on the last exam 45.5 2/3 are failing.
Dr. Trevino is highly educated & teaches her students at an elevated level. I felt that her class was extremely challenging, though it brought out the best in me. Her expectations are high...so if you're up for it, you'll do well! If you're not...RUN! Love her or hate her...she's at the top of her game (should probably be teaching Ivy League).
She is a very intellegent woman who is passionate about Biology. But she should not be teaching a basic Biology class she expects you to read the book, and be able to say it back to her verbatim. If you can learn everything strictly by reading the book and memorizing it she is the teacher for you.
Absolutely terrible. I will admit she knows her stuff but she expects you to know way more than you should, that isn't even found in the text. She doesn't talk to you, she talks at you. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!!!
Terrible. She talks down to students goes really fast and makes you feel stupid. Her test are also very hard and because of her I HATE CHEMISTRY!
one word. Terrible. She is a biology teacher NOT a chemisrty teacher. I have asked her for help several times and she is always "too busy", then she looks down on you for not understanding the material. She is a very Smart woman, but not a wise professor. I recommend not taking her. She focuses alot on the enviornment and not on teaching.
Dr. Trevino has a PhD yet she's teaching at @state community college. She needs to be @ an Ivy league. She's an extremely challenging prof who expects you to put 150% into her class. I got an A but then again I don't remember anything about last semester BESIDES Biology. Morning, Noon and Night studying. Not the class for an easy A.
I've never had difficulty with my studies, and once loved Biology. She has completely turned my world around for the worst. Stressing over this class on a daily basis has not only left me sleep deprived but almost impossible to concentrate on my other classes. She gives you no prep for tests. Grades are based only on the impossible tests and hw.
I had Dr. Trevino for FIVE months. Gonna keep it short & simple: She talks down to students if they ask a question or don't understand, she makes her tests EXTREMELY hard & puts trick questions & it is mostly fill in the blank. She gives us massive loads of homework and doesn't give us enough time to do it. I failed the class, she is the worst prof
Terrible teacher! Seems like it is her first year teaching. She is very smart and knowledgable, but expects it in return before we step in the class. Her teaching style is very different. Only way to pass is to stay WAY ahead. Online homework is only available for a few days then she turns it off. Avoid if possible, there are better professors!
Was very difficult to pass this class. I attended each class yet when tests came felt like every question was a trick one.
very tough professor. but overall one of the best professors I've had.
This course was challenging. very challenging. but she was so HELPFUL! she teach the class with a passion that make it so easy to understand. on top of that she give AN LOT of extra credit opportunity. overall i am glad i took this class with her. excellent teacher!
She was amazing! She is very well educated and passionate about her subject. Very easy to understand, fun, ready to help, and very understanding. The work is a little tough, but she makes it easier to learn.
Dr. Trevino is very difficult but gives out lots of extra credit opportunities. She does so in order to compensate for majority of the class struggling to get bare minimum C or D grade. Avoid her at ALL cost.
She expects students to know the chapters by heart & discuss them, even before she has presented the topic. Tests are very difficult. More than 1/2 the class dropped, and many did not pass. I got an A, but I do not recommend her for Biology unless you have a strong background on Chemistry. Puts down students for not understanding her.
I unfortunatly did not know about Rate My Professor before registering for Bio with her. Failed 75% of the class. I somehow was able to manage an A but had NO LIFE the entire semester. 3-4 hours of hw twice a week. I had 4 other classes I took, which suffered because I devoted all my effort into passing her class. TERRIBLE TEACHER
This PROFESSOR takes no crap! She won't baby you thru the class. She has a PhD in Science. She expects scholars that take her classes and I agree. If you want a degree, you work for it, it's not GIVEN to you like other professors. She gives a lot of homework and course materials but if you study you will be fine. Btw, office hours are available. .
VERY difficult teacher. In the beginning of each class I would be wide awake and after twenty minutes I notice myself falling asleep because she was extremely boring. She is very well educated, but expects everyone to be as intelligent as herself. You would never know where she got the test questions from because they ARE SO DIFFICULT.Dont take her
HORRIBLE TEACHER. Lots of homework, very hard test that are fill in the answer. When she did give a multiple choice test, all of the questions were harder and trick questions. Class is very boring. We rush through every chapter because she spends time talking about things we don't need to know. Hoping to at least past. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
She is not a bad teacher, but a lot of your input is required. Pay attention in class, read the book and do not leave studying for the night before. Her class is not easy, but if you are willing to put in time, it will come easy to you.
Knows and loves her subject. Read the book, study, do homework and pay attention in her class and you will do fine. Knowing the Chapter before class is a must. She is willing to help you if you just ask.
If you think that school should be easy you should not take her class. If you want to learn biology and chemistry, you should have her as a teacher. She is a great teacher but she is not interested in having everybody in her class scoring an A. If you deserve an A and you study hard, you will get it.
She get distracted easily, which causes her to run behind in her lesson plans, she will than quickly review more than one chapter at a time, so you can stay on schedule for a test, so you will end up with a few days to do more than one chapter's homework AND study for an exam. This is my only class and it is almost a full time job in hours studied
She reads from her power point presentations and gets confused by the questions her students ask, it almost seems like the English language is confusing to her. She is very smart, but not a great teacher, most of this course is self taught (what you can teach yourself is what you get out of it). If you want a 'teacher' take someone else.
First off Prof. Trevino is not a bad teacher but her class does require a lot of studying if you want to pass. She gives homework on each chapter which is very helpful in learning the material but this class is NOT an easy A. However, sometimes lecture can be quite boring. Just a tip: to not use your phone during class, she will ask you to leave.
Not an easy class at all. If you are really into bio then go with her. She is very smart and into biology but doesn't understand students are in an entry level class. Tests are very hard homework is graded and mandatory.
As an entry level Bio class I feel the expectations of this professor to be very high. It isn't an impossible class but I personally would pick a different teacher if I could go back & do so.
After reading these reviews and having taken her class, I am questioning whether she is the person writing her positive reviews(seriously). Her tests are tough, she is hard to understand (Her English is hard to understand- it's not her 1st language - which shows in her test questions too) you will consider dropping out of college if you take her.
Professor Trevino is an intelligent, well-educated woman. She just sucks at teaching. This whole semester has been difficult with biology because at times when students needed help, she'd react with condescending and annoyed responses.
Professor Trevino knows what she's talking about she just needs to slow down a bit. She goes through the chapters too fast for anyone to keep up. Her slides have about 45-60 slides, 4 chapters a test and she doesn't specify what to study. She does get side track and start to rambled about unnecessary things.
NOT AN EASY A! Dr.Trevino does require you to invest a lot of time into studying. The exams are mostly based off the homework, but there is no review for them, so you're never really sure. This class requires A LOT of studying. If you can learn from the book, then by all means choose her.
This is a very hard class, she tells you from the beginning what is expected - to read before class, to do/finish your homework by the due date, and there will be no study guides. She has high expectations of her students, if you want an easy biology course, this one is not for you.
No phones in class, calls you out if you're doing something wrong, fast talker
VERY horrible teacher! Talks fast and has a very heavy Spanish accent which makes it difficult to understand! Goes through chapters QUICK and if you have a question she will answer it but in a way of making you feel stupid! DO NOT TAKE HER! by the way can't use your phone in class at all!
Hard professor with high expectations every class. Reading ahead is a must in order to understand her best. Yes, we are scholars, but unless you are going into medicine, it is way too hard of a course for a prerequisite. Over 2 hours of hw twice/wk (not counting studying for exams) Not very helpful at office hours. If majoring in Bio take her.
Prof Trevino is an okay professor. You must read before coming to class. You will be lost if not. Does go very fast and there were 5 tests! In my opinion it does seem like a lot of work for an intro class, but it will prepare you. If you are majoring in science, take her course. Work hard, and you will pass. I passed with an A, so it is possible.
Terrible teacher! I would not recommend this professor to anyone. She was not helpful and actually got mad when someone asked a question to help explain the question better.
toughest class I've ever taken - high expectations and her exams were worded very much how she speaks (confusing) Walked out of two exams KNOWING I had to have an F and actually got B's...You should KNOW you passed when you passed - but with the questions you never know how you did ... I wouldn't recommend her to anyone - and I got an A.
The professor REALLY knows the material. Pretty difficult but you should come out with considerable knowledge on the subject and how to function in school in general.
MUST read chapter prior to her teaching it. I found this very confusing because I couldn't understand the material I was expected to read. She asked questions on the reading immediately. No review for tests or study guides. Very difficult class.
Professor Trevino may come off as a hard teacher and not helpful at first. But after taking the class, I got a whole other perspective. She is willing to help you in whatever you need after class and will throughly explain. Her tests are very similar to the homework so use them as the study guide. Attend class, do the work, and you'll do fine.
Very Tough teacher, I did learn to study on my own in this class, which I am very appreciative of, but didn't understand why attendance was mandatory when I felt that there wasn't a lot of 'teaching' she focuses on her personal agenda of the environment and there is a lot of self study. You can get an A but you will put in a lot of work for it!
She is too hard, she expects us to know everything about Biology when it is Intro to Bio, she assigns to many assignments, does not review for any exams, doesn't give study guides, all she does is read power points word by word without explanation, she doesn't explain anything, she's is definitely the worst professor I've ever had.
Course is hard, not teacher. Lots of material. Easy A for elective NO. The best teacher to intro you to bio for understanding YES! Teaches beginning to end. Uses powerpoint available online and mirrors textbook. Attend and be on time, participate, those things are 10% of grade and you will need it! Gave study guides but idk if she always does.
She comes off hard and mean but once you get to know her a bit she really cares about her students and really tires to help to you understand the material. Read the chapters/notes and DO THE HOMEWORK AND EXTRA CREDITS!!! there arte 5 tests and a final. she is a good teacher though.
This was by far the worst professor I've ever had. If your a student who likes to teach yourself then this is the class for you! She does not give any study guides for tests all her notes are long power points which she reads word for word. She basically expects you to know everything. Also she trys to cram everything into every class.
worst teacher you could ever take, do NOT take her. If I knew how bad she was I would have taken a night class instead of taken her class. She doesn't care if you pass or not even if you ask her for extra credit to bring your grade up she isn't willing to. She is horrible at explaining the lessons, she goes real fast and her tests are very hard!
Her lectures were long and boring, she doesn't explain concepts as clearly as other prof's. And she never fully answered my questions. I basically had to teach myself the material. But the work is fair and tests are very straightforward. She doesn't throw curveballs. Has a heavy accent, but a pretty nice lady and a solid professor.
Not a lot of homework, one research paper, and 6 tests overall (final and 5 "chapter" tests). She drops the lowest of all of your tests, including the final. The class is hard, but any bio class usually is! Overall good professor, maybe would take again.
RUN AWAY! GPA RUINER! She has a thick accent and talks fast I never understood what she was saying! I am not the kind of student that's just trying to get by, I care about my grades and if you do too, RUN AWAY!
She is a nice teacher
Test contain anywhere from 9 sections up to 15 sections.
I took her for Bio Lab and it was the worst. It is physically impossible to get a 100 on the lab reports. She lectured for over half of our LAB class and then would get frustrated when we would run out time. If you end up with her, ALWAYS show up or you WILL NOT pass.
The lectures are very dry- here's a powerpoint, let me repeat it verbatim. If you have questions, she answers them, albeit not entirely. The subject is confusing. The key to success in this class is to read at home and really master the subjects because the tests are TOUGH.
She is easy! 5 exams and 1 final. If you READ the text before and after her power points you will fully understand the material. Her test are very clear and easy and answer your connect questions and mastering concepts at the end of each chapter for extra help and you will get an A!
Your only grades that you get are test grades. No homework
Love her. Dr Trevino loves to teach and is very passionate about biology. Uses Power points for lecture, does not provide study guides for any of her tests. Make sure to attend class, read before class and pay attention during lecture. Dr. Trevino does have a little accent, but it's not the bad.
Horrible teacher, doesn't explain anything well at all
Very thick accent, not clear on explaining things, tests are very difficult!! Lectures are long and boring she reads from the powerpoint verbatim! DO NOT TAKE HER UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY GOOD IN BIOLOGY!!!
In my opinion, I would not recommend her to students who struggle in Science! In the semester there are only four exams and the final that are in the grade book! So you must pass those test to pass the class! She reads straight from the power points and don't give much explanation; if you do ask her to explain, you'll just get even more confused!
Dr. Trevino is a good professor and explains things well. However, this isn't the type of class I would take lightly and not open the book. I realized that during the last exam before the final and would suggest to anyone who takes this course to actually study. Biology is not interesting to me so I did not do too well, but it's a passable class.
She is a super nice lady and willing to help out if requested. Her test were tough, and lecture was long. I think i tough bio my self thanks to youtube. I would leave lost on every lecture, i passed the class with an A but man did i had to study. Power point where simple, but test complicated. If you are not committed to study you will Fail.
She has a thick accent, and reads straight from the power point. You have to study and read before you go to class, the tests are pretty much impossible.
Confusing at times.
She doesn't give study guides. She does not review for tests. Your grade is basically determined by her tests, which are very hard.
She's a good professor but she's so smart she can't bring it down to our level of understanding. Definitely take good notes and study the notes for the test. The tests are not easy. She gives extra credit but you have to go to lectures off campus and write a response. The group project is about vegetarian and how it will benefit life.
You have big labs but not enough time. She lectures for an hour then expects you to get everything done without mistakes along with your lab report. Be sure to be specific with your answers or she'll mark off points. The test are hard you don't know what to study. The final exam is your lab group presenting 1 lab.
Had Professor Trevino only for Biology lab. Too long of an explanation for the lab so by the time we were actually doing the lab we would forget what was going on. Felt like she was belittling you if you asked questions. Hard to understand her at times due to her accent.
Professor Trevino for Human Nutrition was not very difficult but she switched her grading agenda many times during this past semester. We all understood that it was her first semester teaching nutrition yet she graded unfairly. Throughout the semester she did not change grades until 4 weeks before the class ended. Just not organized well enough.
I recently took her class without first looking at her rating and while in the class. EVERYTHING everyone else has said is true. Her test are based on very fine details without a study guide or any real guidance for what to study, Her lectures are monotone and never engage the class, she is smart but TEACHING is not her forte. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
Believes in participation. Show up to all classes and don't be late. Easy A as long as you do well on all quizzes. show up and do a group project which consists of research paper and power point. Anybody can pass. Just gotta have the time from your schedule. Very passionate about spreading veganism.
Aweful. I would definitely not reccomend.
Eh. She was okay
I originally had a different professor. Then they got switched mid semester. Dr Trevino did not take in consideration that we did not have her for the entire semester.
It was a mistake taking her, she has a vert thick accent and almost impossible to understand. The test are also basically impossible and if you don't study you will fail. She reads the PowerPoint basically word for word and doesn't help you at all!
Reading is crucial and the tests are in depth and difficult because the science behind nutrition is very in depth. If you're in a science major, classes are going to be difficult. She's very passionate about this topic and very willing to help you with your confusion and your grade. As long as you read the chapters and go to you class you're great.
Confusing class.
She is a very knowledgeable instructor. However, she treats students as if they are children. Documented excuses for absences are necessary, explanation of tardiness is also expected. Her agenda is to PUSH Veganism and the entirety of the course was based on her beliefs. Exams cover 3-5 chapters at a time.
Very difficult course.
Devout Vegan, PHD in bio/chem. , Adjusts when teaching method isn't working, kind, learned a lot in nutrition from her. A lot of people accuse her of pushing her Veganism on her students- but here's the thing- she's a SCIENTIST(PhD)! She teaches the newest, latest Science! She doesn't tell you what you want to hear, she tells you the truth.
She was a good professor if you really tried, showed up, and made her feel like you cared about the class. If you just try to go along without doing anything, you won't do well.
In this class, professor Trevino goes through the material very fast and only says what needs to be learned one time. I basically have had to teach myself everything through the textbook.
All she does is lecture but is very bad at actually explaining things. Goes through the slide shows & notes wayyy too fast. Has a very thing accent & is difficult to understand. If you dont read the chapter & teach yourself everything you wont pass.
Dr. Trevino was one of the best professor I ever had and I would definitely take her class again. Her lectures and slides are very informative. Her tests are really easy if you take the time to study and pay attention in class and participate. If you have any questions, just stay back and ask her and she will make sure you understand the concept.
Great professor take her if you really want to learn and dedicate yourself. She is very smart!
This class was not necessarily too difficult to understand, but you definitely have to put in the work to really get all the material. I received a high A, but that is because I always took chapter notes before class, answered the review questions in the book, & completed the study guide. Not an easy A, but definitely possible if you work a little.
Horrible professor! TAKE ANY OTHER BIOLOGY PROFESSOR ! She just reads straight from the slide shows, moves way too fast and has a hard to understand accent. Youre basically on your own to learn material.. would strongly not recommend
She was ok, really smart. The exam questions were based on quizzes on canvas. But you had to study anyway. Show up to class and youll be fine
She's a nice lady but her class is very tough. I had to read the textbook, her PowerPoints, and listen very closely to her lectures just to get B's on exams.
She reads off of her slides for the lectures, and posts them on canvas as well. However, she will stop and answer any and all questions if you ask her to. If you read the textbook and do the homework assignments before class, you will pass. If you don't, you will not pass. She is always in her office during office hours if you do need help though.
Answers any quest. you have. Very nice and caring, accessible if u have any quest. she did talk a bit much on veganism and seemed kinda like an SJW but thats okay, she was nice anyways. the class is difficult if you find bio boring. u have to read to get things and the material gets in depth so get ready. she's obv. very very smart and organized
Great biology professor. Her class was super easy. A lot of people say her accent was tough to understand, but personally, I find that to be untrue. She explains the concepts well. All you really have to do is study your notes and the powerpoint. She gives a dumb project that practically forces you to conclude veganism is good, but it's an easy A.
Took her for bio and it's hard subject and she doesn't help. If you have never taken a bio class, dont take this course with her. she doesn't simplify things and tests are extremely hard.
She is an amazing professor! Pay attention and do what she asks of you and you should be ok! The homework and review activities are very helpful.
She's a good teacher, she lectured during class and put the lecture on canvas. Attendance is mandatory, she takes off points if you come in late. The quizzes are helpful because you see similar questions on the exams. She does have an accent but you can still understand her. A little disappointed she didn't round my grade up.
Make sure to STUDY quizzes since you do not get a review before each exam (6). Material was easy to understand but once I took the exam the questions felt as if I were in a higher level class and not a GENERAL biology class.
She's a good professor but her tests are hard! Theres no study guides so you just have to study from your hw assignments. You must come to class on time or she takes off points. Her accent is not hard to understand, you can't even notice it. You must pay attention bc theres a lot of info given and she'll call you out if youre not paying attention
She is hands down THE BEST teacher in this entire institution. She is tough on her expectations but really encourages you to be active in the learning process. Yes, it's a lot of work, it's a college level course and she expect your work to reflect that. Study, take notes, ask questions, talk to her after class and you'll be fine. She's the best!
I read the reviews on here and decided to take a chance anyways and it was a terrible decision. She's not a very good professor at all as far as teaching the material. You almost have to teach yourself and the exams count for a major part of your overall grade. DON'T TAKE HER. If you have no other choice like I did then.. best of luck.
She is an awesome professor. Her class is difficult, but very easy to achieve good grades if you put in the effort. Her tests cover lecture and power point material but you must read the book. If you read ahead, print/bring her lecture notes, come to class on time, do the homework and study, you will do well. Top professor I've had.
Definitely a very difficult professor. She crammed way too much material in for a standard semester. She was nice and understanding but overall It was very stressful and you surely have to pay attention and take notes on the lessons before class starts. Not the best thing professor, but not the worst.
She won't let you out of the class until the assigned time is over. Her lecture is absolutely boring. She's not actually a bad teacher. She's pretty sweet. It's just that when she teaches stuff she makes it more complicated than it already is. I'd recommend reading the textbook and her ppt if you've got exams. That's the only way to pass her class.
This professor really sets you up for university and for harder courses in the future. Reading and taking notes is imperative before lectures, because it makes you understand the material even further. She's very passionate about the subject , which is hard to find in professors. If you put in the work, you'll learn and you'll pass.
She is a very nice professor, but she doesnt teach well. I had to self teach myself everything. Beware dont use your phone in class and dont go to the bathroom.
Very nice professor, very hard class. I feel like at times she made it unnecessarily difficult and complicated. Had to do lots of studying before tests outside of class. My best advice is if you have to take this professor, take it with friend so you can study together.
the assigned notes were 60 slide powerpoints, and you have to take notes on EVERYTHING lots of hw, however it counts for nothig, being that the test can drop your grade from a 100 to a 70.
yeah, dont take her she went off saying how she hates study guides and doesnt want students to memorize questions from the test the study guide for a 40 question test is about 100 questions which u have to dig ur textbook for, ur textbook doesnt let u copy/paste either. so prepare for arthritis when typing powerpoints are over 50 pages as well
Worst Professor I have taken by far. Her lectures consists of power points which contains upwards of 70 slides each. She tests and covers every little detail, some which are not necessary. All homework is done through connect online, so an access code is needed.
She is good and understanding
Professor Trevino's class was very difficult and she was all around unpleasant to deal with. She would be very dismissive and rude to students in her emails. She would sent out "reminders" to you if you haven't done an assignment two days before it was due.
