If you consider yourself a good student, this class will be a breeze. You're going to have to work on your own time and perfect your skills. If you do not care for chemistry or would consider yourself lazy, don't bother.

Gives a ton of extra credit so there are no excuses for getting a bad grade. Has a tendency to skip over hard material, but she gives extra for going to the slc lab. Would definitely take again. Lowest test and quiz grades are dropped as well.

Really clear on what she wants on the first day of class. If you do not like your grade, you can work on the extra credit she gives out to try and boost it to whatever it is you want. Very easy to get a hold of outside of class. Definitely would take again.

Tests are hard but she will drop the lowest grade, extra credit opportunities, provides extra work to get comfortable with the concept which isn't mandatory, provides the best chemistry mnemonics/analogies, knows when to review, showing work on the tests might save you from getting a problem wrong and always remember to draw on the top right :)

Extremely knowledgeable of the subject, she gives extremely clear instructions. You have to study in order to pass this class. She gives multiple extra credit opportunities you have to utilize them. She's nice, quirky, and an overall great professor.

This professor is very nice and she explains things well. She does powerpoints during class and explains all the concepts thoroughly. She welcomes questions and will help outside class. The homework is a good study tool for the tests, which arent bad. There are some worksheets and quizzes but if you study and practice the math parts youll be fine

Very thorough professor. She has homework leading up to exams that go over the content of the exam. That is what helped me get good exam scores. Available almost every time I needed her Outside of class.

Dr. Wanderley is one of the best professors I've had. This class is not easy. However, she provides powerpoints which you should print to add notes during lectures. She is always accessible to answer questions outside of class through Slack. Tons and tons of extra credit. You have to practice, practice, practice! Put in the work and you'll pass!

I really enjoyed this professor. She is younger and uses technology to stay in better contact with her students and make the learning fun. The quizzes and tests arent too entirely difficult, given that you are actively doing the homework and studying. She is very helpful inside and outside of the classroom and explains all the material well!

Professor Wanderley is an awesome person!! I took her for CHM1032 which isn't my strongest subject. She teaches WELL and creates a great learning environment so that EVERYONE understands! There are weekly online hw assignments assigned and its a LOT of work. Those take upwards of 2-4 hours depending on the week. Otherwise all is good! I got an A!

Prof Wanderley is amazing. She's so good at teaching it's crazy... I'm absolutely terrible at Chemistry. I didn't learn a thing in high school chem and she taught me everything I needed. Shes accessible outside of class and makes good use of technology. there are 5 exams and 5 quizzes before each exam and she drops the lowest (E and Q).

I was very concerned about taking Chem but Professor Wanderley made it great! Not only does she give great lectures, she is very helpful and fair. She provides an incredible amount of extra credit and she is funny and caring. Chem is hard, but if you pay attention and ask questions and put in the work, you will get an A or B hands down.

She made chemistry 1 easy. There's a lot of extra credit given. Her lectures, in my opinion, really simplified a lot of concepts and made then easy to understand. She uses a free online textbook so that's good. I didn't read it much though. **Pay attention, take notes and study.** She uses slack so you can message her outside of class if you need.

She is the most amazing professor I have ever had. She is thorough and very understanding. I wish she was my professor for every class... she makes chemistry easier to understand. I failed last semester with professor sellars but I am passing here

She made Chem 1 really easy. We used Knewton for the online homework. Her tests were all covered in the lecture and would be prepared if you did the homework.

You need to show up for the lab in order to do the lab report. She drops the lowest lab grade. You also are required to do the pre-lab before class, which I find helpful because it gives you an insight of what you will be doing in class. She walks you through step by step on how to do the labs. She also helps you do the lab report.

She is the best professor for chem! I am so happy that I took her I never thought that I could receive above a C in chem. You do have to work for your grade but she is very helpful the only bad thing is the final is cumulative so make sure to keep all of your work

Totally recommend for chem. Lectures are amazing, I'm no good at science but she made this class so easy. Of course you have to put in your part but easy class.

Dr Wanderley is the best CHM professor at Palm Beach State College.100% I would recommend her. her tests are not difficult if you practice. just you need to do the homework and practice practice practice that all you need to do. she gives a lot of extra credits on the test and other extra credit and you need to utilize them I got 1022/1000

look its chemistry she is very straight forward great Power Points and is willing to explains anything if you do not understands, there are 4 exams 1 is dropped, and 4 quizzes 1 is dropped and this woman provides TONS AND TONS OF EC like over 40+ points downside, she a little overwhelming with information so prepare for the headaches

There are so many chances to past your tests. I probably could have gotten an A if I didn't try to take so many classes at once this semester. The homework is easy and she gives you a lot of time to get it done. Would definitely take again!

it's been awhile since I took a chem class, and I thought I was gonna hate this, but she actually made the information understandable. grading is weird but she goes over it, and you get a lot of do overs for things. it's annoying but I like that I got to pass with a higher grade than I expected to get.

TAKE HER! She is a fantastic instructor who makes Chemistry far less intimidating by presenting the content in a digestible manner - and also keeps the students engaged with the poll questions. The hw problems/videos take some time, but are very helpful in reinforcing the lectures. She is also quick responding to emails. I did not need the book.

Great professor! As long as you attend the lectures and actually do your work/study you should be fine. She's also super easily accessible through email if you have a problem or need help. Definitely would take again!

Take her! Everything is open book/note. Great lectures answers all questions. Her lectures make topics easy to digest. In class questions to make sure you understand. HW is great practice and given plenty of time. Challenges (tests) on 1/2 topics 3-4 times month not timed and 3 tries per topic. Sweet, quick response, lots help resources. Easy

Shes amazing. Her grading is VERY clear. She gives multiple opportunities to pass a topic if you fail it on the challenge (test). Theres homework due like every week or 2 but its easy. Also videos with questions throughout the semester. She gives tokens to use if you wanna fix a grade. She also gives great feedback when you fail a topic

Best online teacher

She is honestly one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is very sweet and does her best to be sure that you learn from your mistakes by giving you two times to pass any given challenge. She uses lots of apps but she is understanding and super professional.

Prof Wanderley is hands down the best professor I've ever had. Ever. She explains things extremely well, is very thorough, and is happy to help in and out of the "classroom" (online). The negative reviews other people put are probably just because they were not focused each class. I found if you paid attention and ask questions, you will do well.

Don't listen to the awful reviews, some of the people in this class were unbelievably whiny. It is very easy to get an A in her class bc of her grading system, you can get 70% on almost all assignments and get an A. The only difficulty is that in exams you must get 100% correct to pass, even then- you get multiple attempts. Lectures are very clear.

I would say that she is hands down the best CHM1045 teacher in PBSC. Her grading criteria is easy to understand and manageable. However, I would say to take this class online if you could.

If your thinking about taking her for chemistry DO IT! Shes amazing do not let the way she grades scare you its perfect you actually get to learn the material. Dr. Wanderly uses an alternative grading scale which is focused on pass/fail comprehension of certain concepts, and you get at least 2 attempts at every concept in a quiz format. She is a great teacher and very caring and understanding. If you need extra help, she is available outside of class. One of the best classes I've taken!

Not gunna lie, her new way of grading confused me and scared me at first, but i came to love it. Gives u 2 tries to do a quiz b4 u fail it and its only 4-5 questions long. Also gives u chances to fix failed quizzes through extra credit. Her notes are amazing, didnt open my book once. Review her notes and study them and youll do great

I moved from C-D to A at the end of class, When it was time to drop I was seriously considering it I'm glad I didn't. I work and do school so I buckle down and ensure I do the corrections. You have to work for it. I DONT REGRET taking her.

Professor Wanderley is the best for chemistry. If you are just like me and this is your first chemistry class ever, you should have a great professor who will provide you with lots of resources and really teach in a comprehensive way. That professor is her. You have to take her if possible, highly recommend her.

Best professor EVER! She made learning chemistry fun and I enjoyed the links and informative videos she would create for each chapter. I am so thankful I had her and 100% recommend taking her class!

This professor has changed how I feel about chemistry, coming from someone who has struggled with this subject professor Wanderley makes it so easy and simple. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand and know what is going on, in my opinion, you have to TRY to fail this class. Just show up and do the homework and you will be fine.

At first I was I was failing, but then I started to use the tokens and her resources. It really helped. Her grading system is not hard. START your corrections EARLY!! I regret that I didn't I still got an A. She gives homework and video quizzes which are easy and helpful.

No final exam but she has multiple quizzes called learning targets that she uses to grade us. If you fail 1 LT, you'll have the chance to make up for it on the next LT. Her HW assignments can range from 30-50 questions but they are not hard, just start them early and work throughout the wk. She is the SWEETEST teacher, she's ALWAYS nice. 10/10

An awesome professor! She makes sure that you understand the material. All you have to do to pass the class is do what is clearly outlined in the syllabus. I actually had to go out of the country the first week and the last 2 weeks of class, she allowed me to make up those test. If you fail a test she gives you 3 tries to get it right!

Professor Wanderley's teaching style helped me learn! She gives so many practice problems and resources, and you have a month to do homework assignments (there are 4 homework assignments total with an average of 50 issues). The learning targets are 10 questions; she gives the easiest problems out of everything we learned. Great profesor!!

I would recommend taking this class seriously. Allows retakes and has 16 targets. Need to pass at least 11 targets. If you fail both times you can use up to 8 corrections, I suggest you go to tutoring. Chemistry is not an easy class, but she has a lot of resources to help you. It's an easy A but It's up to you whether you put in the effort or not.

Professor Wanderly, best chemistry professor ever! She puts so much effort into her lectures and resources and has office hours available if you are feeling stuck. Possible downside would be that it is homework heavy but they reenforce the material needed to know on learning targets. You get multiple chances to bring your grade up.

10/10. She has these learning target quizzes that you can take 2 times to try to pass. If you do not pass, you can use an extra credit token to take the test home and do it with tutors or textbooks. You are expected to watch the lecture videos before class and then ask questions in class. If you put in the work, you will be fine and will pass.

Dont read the negative reviews, this class is the easiest class ive ever taken, she makes ur life easier with the way she grades, if you dont have the time to watch a video before class then why are you in college, trust me shes super easy and lets u retake quizzes, i dont see how anyone could get less than a A in her class, simply lazy students

She's super awesome, her class is set up a little different than the rest of the courses that I've taken so far but I liked it. As long as you watch the videos and do the HW you will pass the assessments. There are assessments almost every week.

She allows tokens for tests that you dont pass and is really understanding, tries her best to pass borderline students, shes a great teacher although her teaching style is different, it is definitely still possible to learn from her course.

Amazing professor!Chemistry is a difficult topic in general but she goes above and beyond to make it easy!Her lab was super easy literally just follow the steps in the book, weekly there is a pre/post lab quiz and a pre lab set up to do. Her grading system seems confusing at first but later on it was super helpful. No midterm or heavy tests!

The class is challenging, but she's supportive and provides ample resources, practice questions, and clear lectures. Take her! Professor Wanderley wants to see everyone succeed. 3 hw assignments that are long, but for each of them she gives you like 3wks to complete. Quizzes are online for each section, 3-5 questions max. Take notes it will help prepare you for the test. She breaks it all down. Earn your tokens, turn everything in on time and you'll be fine.

If you do the hw, test corrections, assignments you end with an A. Her grading system not like the rest but gives you second chances on tests, you can turn in a token for test corrections, and you can use the SLC to help with the test corrections. You have to be lazy to fail. This Professor cares about her students and for you to succeed! TAKE HER!

She is an amazing teacher who actually cares about her students learning the content and understanding it, not just memorizing concepts like a robot to pass a quiz. Her system is unusual but that is what makes it so good. She offers corrections for quizzes if you do not pass the learning objectives and explains concepts clearly.

She explains everything to you so clearly that you feel safe to ask her anything.

The grading is essentially 16 credits for mini-quizzes + 2 credits for doing HW and watching her videos. Many retake opportunities but you need 17/18 credits to get an A. I thought that was a super easy goal given how easy the quizzes are and the professor did a really good job making complex problems simple to follow. Lectures can be slightly dry.
