Great teacher who gave a lot of insight into the business world. Participation plays a role. I encourage any business majors to take her class!

Well, I loved the way she taught, based on well prepared power point presentation. You will learn a lot, and tests will be easy to comprehend. I recomment this course to students business and econ majors.

Be prepared to be social. Lots of group activities and participation, but it's fun. You will learn alot and have fun doing it. Great Teacher!

I did not think I was going to love a teacher in College but when I saw Marcella Kelly all my thought changed completely. She is so sweet lovely compasioned, friendly with all the students never gets angry even listen to you with your problems and I expect another semester with her.

So check this out I have taken both her business Marketing class and her Business 1 class and she rocks. Shes clear, helpful, intresting, relaxed, and she really cares. By far my best teacher at SMC and I would recommend her to anyone. She speaks from experience.

I love the way she teachs, very clear, you have one verbal presentation and 2 article review. but its not that hard. 4 exams..lowest one is dropped. so its pretty flexible. Do show up in every class for extra 50 points and read the textbook!! the powerpoint is interesting too..

this class was one of the easiest classes i have taken at smc. really good teacher. basically gives you the answers to the test questions right before the test. don't know why these people are saying she's hot. but she makes the class fun.

Mrs. Kelly is such a wonderful teacher and her teaching style goes makes the class a pleasure to go to. She is very friendly and understanding as well as charming. I would just do the practice exams an hour before the test and received an A! She practically gives you the answers in the review right before the test! She wants you to do well!!!

I think this class really easy which is not really good, I did not expect she will go over the material before the test since it is indirectly gave the solution to the students and she did not use text book at all that really piece me off(text book expensive) and I also studied till my butt off but the test is too easy. that's why students love her

Intro to Business - Marce is great! Would highly recommend. The content is straight forward and she doesn't complicate it. The homework assignments and discussion boards are fun and mentally engaging. Read the text for the exams, straight forward without much "studying." I would highly recommend this class to start off Business with at SMC.

Whoever said this class was too easy is obviously silly. Although I too found it simple enough, everyone obviously did not, because not everyone passed the class. Great teacher, really nice, really hot, definitely recommended!

One of the nicest teachers I've had here. She's very helpful and knows what she's talking about. She gives perfect examples of things and shows tons of video clips to help explain. A lot of non-graded group activities. One big group project, 4 tests (equal midterm), 1 essay and a final. Loved the class. Definitely take BUS 20 with her.

Thoughtprovoking and the nicest professor. My advice is to still study hard to get an easy A. she really knows what business is all about and her tests are straightforward. there's also 1 presentation 100 points and 2 bus articles. for the exams, study the powerpoint, do the practice quizzes in ThomsonNow and you will be fine. good luck

Great teacher! She is so enthusiastic and sharp. Goes over powerpoints in class as notes, gives out 2 hw assignments and 1 presentation along with a few tests. She really cares about her students and wants you to succeed. TAKE HER CLASS! She is totally worth it. Even if you are not interested in business, you learn so much from her.

Prof Marce is nice but very fixed. you have to know your stuff to get a solid A. exams are ok but some questions involve critical thinking. reviews before tests are helpful, but my advice is to motivate yourself and study hard. There's no curve, so it can be tough. don't slack around bc she will not give good grades just for being there.good luck

I have now graduated, and see that Marce is the best teacher I had in SMC & CSUN. I highly recommend her. I was not a business major, but her classes remain my favourite. She is intelligent, articulate, and makes the material accessible. Marce is very approachable, and strives to help students succeed. (I wish all of my teachers were like Marce.)

Take her! Her class is the best one I've ever been to! She's nice and very encouraging. The tests aren't that hard if u read the textbook beforehand and try the online quizzes and pay attention when she reviews before the test! Easy A!

Extremely easy class.. Kelly reviews almost all the ?'s right before the quiz. Do the online quizzing and listen during review. You have to be an idiot not to pass the class.

I recommend her online business 1 class. Two easy h/w assignments, no quizzes, about 4 discussions which are REALLY easy, about 4 or 5 tests during this winter but their pretty fair. Theres usually only one or two questions I second guess my self on so you should be fine. No project like the regular in class has to. veryyyyyy easy A

What an amazing teacher, cant say anything bad about her. she wrote the book so shes knowledgeable about it, has great stories and uses her experience as an example. interesting but really easy project to do and does comprehensive review before every test. shes definitely on your side and i highly highly highly recommend her!

Marce is a really intelligent and personable professor. She doesn't give busy work! Her lectures are brimming with interesting info and she makes intro to business simple and to the point (but thorough enough so you feel a lot smarter when you leave the class). Make sure to attend class and participate! And read the book (which she wrote!)

This teacher is outstanding. She still uses the book that she wrote which makes it easy to study. The study guide at the back of book helps. No need to take notes she sends powerpoints of the slides to you on email. Test are easy if you just pay attention in class. Nice, outgoing and willing to help in office hours. Great teacher! Exams are straight from textbook, she posts all powerpoint presentations (with notes!) on e-companion, doesn't want her class to be the one you need to kill yourself studying for, wants all of her students to succeed. Advice: go check your grade after each exam during her business hour, it will help you!

I've taken both her business marketing and business class, but this is my critique of her business 1 class. The book is very helpful. She practically gives you the answers prior to the test. She is a very quirky, funny, and friendly personality and very understanding. Do NOT sleep in her class, though. Hilarity will ensue.

So this is my critique of her marketing class. I did not like it as much as her Business 1 class, as the book is different and the activities are much more mundane and boring. It's a lesser carbon copy of the business 1 class. It was a bit more disorganized too this time around but she's still the same ole Marce Kelly and I mean that in a good way!

Professor Kelly is a very nice and energetic professor. Her class wasn't difficult as long as you read the book, which is all you have to do in order to get an A on her exams. I recommend taking her for sure. She even bought us pizza one day lol.

I could not agree anymore with my classmate told me that Professor Marce was the best ever professor that she's ever taken in life. Anyone can publish a book, but not everyone can write such a great text as Prof. Marce does. I took a bus 1 with her this fall and all I can say that she's the best teacher at SMC . She's so caring,helpful, and kind. Amazing person and teacher

I dont know what words to describe about this professor except this word: AMAZING. Generally, when people see the word 'amazing', they did expect the class would be easy as pie. Sadly, it's not easy. in fact, I think it become easy only when a student puts a great amount of effort to study professor's lecture slides and reading a text book.

I took an online class and this is a guaranteed easy A. All tests answers and questions are exactly from the book, going in chapter, so navigation is well. Only have to write two easy papers. Very lenient when turning in late assignments, she gives full credit anyways. Wish I could've take her class on campus. Great Teacher.

She is absolutely the best teacher I have seen so far. Her teaching style is self-study; however, the program that comes with our books (coursemate-cengage) allows us to take practice quizzes and play mini games that aid in understanding the material. Tests are absolutely easy, only two assignments & 8 discussions responses & 6 tests.

Her online class was great. The tests (6) were super easy and the only true homework we had was discussion responses online and no requirement to respond to other students. Also, two homework assignments which you only have to write a response with a couple of paragraphs,. She gives full credit even when you turn in assignments 3 days later.

She's such a sweet and caring person, however I found that she easily got distracted during lectures and I didn't learn much from them. They were kind of fun but you really need to do your reading to do well in this class. Exams were not easy but she did go trough the tests beforehand so that really helped. Also, one group presentation.

They are really easy, she'll do a review before every test Just take her, man. She makes it fun. youll laugh a lot and cry when its over because you'll realize the best class you've ever taken is over.

Super hot, but that's just a side benefit. Professor Kelly really knows the material (with a background in top businesses like Disney and Neutrogena) and she is the author of our book, so she is super knowledgeable. On a personal level, she really treats each person as an individual and gets to know them. I highly recommend her.

Great teacher that's not only passionate about her subject but also have great experience in the field. I took her business 1 class and found it really interesting. She covers relevant subjects and make everything interesting to both listen to and work with in class! Strongly recommend! Only complaint I have is that the tests were too easy!

Great lectures, she cares about the students a lot! Coursework is 4 midterm exams, 2 business article reviews (homework), a verbal presentation, 1 final exam, a participation grade and lastly an attendance bonus.

This was a fantastic professor who promotes a collaborative learning environment. I took the class for fun in the evenings to help me understand business better for my job at a tech company. Not only is this class easy, but she truly cares about her students and their success. She frequently asks students from around the globe to confirm data.

She literally goes over the test, the actual test right before she gives out that test. If you don't get an A, you have comprehension issues. Listen in lecture, listen during the review (RIGHT BEFORE THE TEST)- you will get the easiest A and learn some fun things about business and diverse opinions from around the globe.

Professor Kelly is a fantastic professor! I would recommend anyone to take her, especially if you are interested in business . Her class is fun and engaging! You also learn quite a bit! She is sweet, bubbly and very educated in her field. She gives great lectures and her tests are very reasonable. Very little homework. An amazing experience!

If you need a business 1 class--TAKE THIS CLASS! Besides the fact that this will probably be one of the easiest classes you can take, professor Kelly makes the most mundane topics incredibly interesting. Anything and everything you were confused about coming into this class, you'll leave with those questions answered. One of my best experiences!

Professor Marcella Kelly is absolutely AMAZING. She provides extraordinary lectures and simple everyday examples for learning. She is abreast of the all the news with regards to the chapter/ topic we discuss in class. If you cannot pass her class, you probably should still be in high school or college is not for you. Prof Kelly is a seasoned businesswoman with 15+ years of experience prior to teaching. She is so invested in teaching, you can tell from her lectures; she's really great to follow along. Her lectures are EXTREMELY helpful & NOT boring. She takes attendance (large % of grade)- but textbook NOT mandatory for work- just for personal studying.

Prof Kelly is hands down the best teacher I've had in college. Great lectures with plenty of opportunities to speak and share. She's kind and caring with students. Review sessions before test are really helpful.

Marce is one of my favorite professors, ever. She is inspirational, kind, fun in her lectures, and all material that she tests on is always gone over in class. Reading and attendance are essential. She cares about her students and she's very clear with material in her lectures. Have had such a positive time in all her classes.

Kelly is one of the best professors I have had at SMC! I have taken BUS 1 and 20 with her. The only thing I do not like about the class is the McGraw Hill Connect assignments. They are pretty pointless because you learn so much more through her lectures and reviews that have you well prepared for the test. Definitely TAKE HER CLASS!

You guys must take her class! She structures her class in a way where students can actually learn rather than just get a good grade and not learn anything. She lets students engage in lectures that helps us learn and prepare for exams. Grading criteria is very specific and clear to understand from day 1, not confusing at all. HW helps on exams too!

Marce is a great teacher who loves teaching. Her intruiging lectures help you learn material quick and her pre exam reviews are insanely helpful. She is a kind soul who grades easy, but fairly. 4 midterms and one final. Not alot of homework. Guarantee that you will love her as a professor.

Shes very positive and thorough in her lectures. Get the textbook because in the back theres a study guide for the exams. If you dont do every single assignment (theres like 5) you wont get a good grade. This is a class you really shouldnt stress.

Easy A but I showed up to the lectures anyways because something about Marce is really special. She's had experience outside which is nice! You can tell she's really passionate about her teaching that you won't get from most professors. Highly recommend taking this class with Marce if you're considering to be a business major!

If student ask question, she will explain several times. She never behaves that you feel regret from your asking . She asks students to talk about one optional subject related to business in front of class, it's challenging for international students I suggest you talk with her. she will help but never change presentaion with other assignment.

The best professor Ive had hands down. She cares so much about her students and her lectures are so inspirational and will always give examples that are easy to understand as well as share her own experiences in business. I cant remember a single time where she didnt show up happy for class. I recommend Professor Kelly to anyone.

This is diffenently one of my favorite teachers at SMC. She is easy going and kind-hearted. Marce continuously connects the class to current events which is amazing. This class was unfortunately during the beginning of quarantine and I felt up to date. Marce learned very quickly as this was her first-time remote. Straight forward class

What an amazing teacher with an amazing style of teaching which focuses primarily on making sure that her students learn and understand the material rather than them cramming it for exams. The class is very enjoyable with a fun final group project. Professor Marcella Kelly is very understanding and does a great job making lectures interesting.

I highly recommend taking Prof Kelly, who's enthusiastic and kind-hearted. There are "tests" and "quizzes" that are incredibly forgiving. Aside from those, there are some discussions and a group project that you have 1+ month to do. Everything about this class promotes learning, not memorization, which is a what class should do. It was a good time.

Professor Marcella Kelly is a great professor! What I love about the class is that we would have a lot of discussions and I would learn a lot from them. Its amazing how discussions are open because you get to know the latest news and new significant things. I admire how the professor cares and listens to students. Definitely take her class.

Taking Marce's Intro to Business class was a highlight of my SMC career. Marce is extraordinarily caring, super knowledgeable (with great industry insights), and relatable. Also! 2 hw papers there r 5 tests but u have plenty of time and they r on canvas if u have good notes u r good there is one presentation to give in front of the class so if u r shy prepare yourself she gives some great tips she is super nice and class is interesting u don't have to attend but I would recommend u do u have to participate to for credit

Kelly is very dedicated to her teaching and has lectures everyday. But they are very entertaining and you have to participate in class to get the full credit. Good examples of new concepts in business that make all definitions very clear.
