Interesting guy. Very funny. He gives alot of work but is fair about it.

His class is fun and interesting. He'll randomly pick a student to input comments on certain topics he discussed.

His lectures are fun and interesting, but his tests are difficult. Just do all your homework and takes notes. The important assignments include: a review assignment, a group presentation, a museum paper, and what is sociology etc.

Excellent teacher. Fun class. You really need to keep up with the reading and lecture or you will not pass.

Funny professor. Gives many real life examples and tries hard to connect course with the real world.

Attendance Mandatory! He takes attendance until the last day of class. Overall you learn a lot and he does make it interesting. Tests are not too hard. Essays not that bad either just turn it in on time or u loose A LOT of points! And he's hot... just wish he weren't so full of himself though, and he's moody!

I took his on-line class and it ws tough at first cause you have to do the reading and modules but he is understanding and helpful. Seems strict at first but cool.

His human sex class was the best. I leanred so much and it was a fun.

I took human sexuality in the first session of summer school 2009. The class was very interesting and he kept us all engaged. He is moody and full of himself however, his teaching style and the subject itself makes up for these flaws. He does alot of group projects and group work. Bottom line- minimal studying but attendence is a must.

This class was a blast and he is a fun cute guy. Do the reading and show up. When I asked for help he was aways availalbe. He cares.

Took it during winter session. A lot of work especially since class was only 5 weeks. he was really entertaining but sometimes would belittle his students which made me not want to speak up in class. final was a take home final with 3 essays. not an easy A (i got a B) but if u get B's on tests you would probably get an A.

Funny guy. Assigns alot of group discussion which are not difficult. You get to look at everyday situations and he is very good at what he does. Keeps students engaged and entertained. Overall a good class.

I took Professor Morales online. He is very clear, organized, and responds quickly to email. While there are several assignments to complete, he is always willing to help and provides many resources for his students.

I took this proFessor during the summer session And I enjoyed his lectures. Obviously you have o do your work and study iN order to earn a good grade. Stop being lazy! Excellent teacher who is very knowledgable. Makes class fun and engaging. Very professional in that he does not tolerate tardiness much less weak attendance or take late assignments unless one has a legitimate, documented excuse. Participate in lectures and take good notes with some reading and you'll be fine.

This teacher was one of my Favs at ELAC. He is tough especaiily at first but then is real down to earth. Sweet guy. He is really cute too!

A lot of people told me to take the course at LACC because it is easier. I am glad that I took it here because it shows he is passionate about the subject and will not give everyone A's who do not deserve it. The Final is so relaxing. Tests are on Scantron, somewhat tricky. Essays are English 103 material. He would only touch me out of everyone.

the only hard part about this class are the 2 test. The ?'s are tricky and you have to read the book and pay attention to lecture. Im a c student in english and nearly got full credit on all of them. For projects he usually gives full credit just make sure you follow directions on the assignment. Otherwise he will take off points for stupid things.

he is hot, funny and very educated but he knows what he wants, very strict so be prepared for a real college level class! Attendance is MANDATORY you can NOT be late or he will drop you! Whole class is 100pts so every assignment & test counts! U dont need to but the text, I got a B just by going to library & skimming through it, tests are not hard.

He was worth taking. I learned a lot and was very into the class. It can be hard if you do not study. You MUST study from the book. I had him for online, and I benefited a lot from it. He is not as bad as people say he is.

Oh Dr. Morales.. He can be a diva & can be rude sometimes but only because he knows his stuff. I started off hating the class & felt I had no chance in passing but as I was getting my work back I realized I would be fine! His lectures are amazing and will make you think outside the box. Never a dull moment in this class & I took him during summer!

He is very intimidating the first few weeks. His lectures are very interesting and he explains clearly but it can be very difficult writing notes while he speaks. He is very sassy and a hard grader but overall the LECTURES are wonderful.

Dr. Marcel Morales, was by far the hardest professor I've had, but with great dedication, effort, sacrifices, and commitment you can over come a good grade in his class. His teaching techniques are very unique you will learn a lot in his class.

Dr. Morales, is by far the best professor in Sociology. His lectures are very interesting, funny, and easy to comprehend. If any individual is thinking of taking a Sociology course in the up coming semesters, his the guy you should consider. You will have fun learning.

He is so hilarious in class, but sometimes he comes off as a jerk. But i learned a lot in his class. I would totally take his class again. Do all the work and you'll pass the class. I miss two assignments and got a C in his class.

He comes off as intimidating and rude but he's really not. He welcomes comments questions etc. He's really interesting. If you study hard the tests will be really easy. Did average on tests but turned in every assignment and got an A.

Took this course online. At first, he was present but towards the end, he completely disappeared. At one point, I wondered if we had a professor at all. He stopped grading all assignments during the last month & closed the course without allowing students to see capstoneessayfinal grades. NO feedback at all. Very upsetting.

Definitely need to show up every class to pass. Some exams are difficult but completely from his notes so as long as you take good notes you're set. He's tough but if you're majoring in sociology, he's the best professor to have!

The class is very interesting plus what you learn you can apply to every day life problems. Must read and participate professor is very clear on what he expects can be a tough grader but as long as you attached the concepts and theories you learn you can pass the class

Dr. Morales is a very detailed instructor and he is very clear of what he expects in this course. You will need the book or it will be impossible to do your work. Class consisted of weekly discussions, quiz and a few essays. He is more than willing to clarify any questions you may have. Amazing instructor, would take him again.

Will put you on the spot for walking in late. Bring your textbook to class, he'll surprise you with needing it. Has a strict demeanor and demands respect from his students. He's funny. Material is interesting and straightforward in its own way so he helps to bring it to life. Gave everyone who did all the requirements for the group project an A.

Doctor Morales is an outstanding professor who truly cares about his students. He is very knowledgable in his field of work. Do not insult him by being late, he will ask you to leave. Three exams that cover his material and some papers, including a project. Demands the best out of his students and is helpful. Definitely recommend for any Soc major.

If you're interested in learning, take his class! I enjoyed his class! His explanations are so thorough and understandable. He's also pretty sassy, but once you get to know him, he's freaking hilarious! However, if you're looking for an easy A, turn around. But come on... what's the point in getting an A, if you don't learn anything?

one group presntation, one midterm online, final online, I took him for a hybird class at Cal State LA, i learned so much about my sexuality in this class he is a great lecture never a boring moment in his class

He is a great professor. He may seem intimidating at times but it's just his dedication to teaching. He gives great slides that prepare you for tests. He gives a couple of assignments but they're easy as long as you follow directions.

I thought he was great. He comes off a little intimidating at first, but that's just his sense of humor. His workload is manageable and he's always clear with what he expects from you. Everything is on the syllabus, so just do the assignments and you're good.

Most of what you need for tests is in lecture. Lectures are engaging. You won't get bored, he makes them memorable. Theres a mid term and the final, plus one pop quiz. You'll have to write a short paper and theres a group project. It's really helpful to read the textbook too. I did like taking his class, but he's terrible at answering emails

I took Sociology 2 online with professor Morales and although it was a lot of reading , quizzes and discussions for every chapter I truly enjoyed the course. I learned so much about society that I was not aware of. If you want an easy A, he is not the professor for you. He expects college level writing/discussions & makes you work for your grade.

Great professor who offered lots of videos, readings, and a free textbook to use for the class. Each week, we had a reflective discussion and a quiz on the textbook so not too stressful. Honestly an eye-awakening class! He holds great knowledge and expects the same from students. Several Extra Credit offered throughout the course.

Great professor both on-line and face to face instructor. Try to get to know him. He likes talking to students and hearing their view. Even if he disagrees with you.

I took this class in the summer (5 weeks) and all i can say is this teacher is amazing definitely take this class you wont regret it. In this class I had- 3 assignments , 10-11 quizzes and 7-8 class discussions , super understandable and easy but you have to put in the effort.Class is amazing you just have to be willing to write a little bit.

I took the class for winter, 5 weeks, it's annoying responding to 2 classmates and saying positive things about what they said on every chapter! The prof was decent, at the end of the year you have to write answers to a couple questions from EVERY chapter, like a journal, so it's just so unnecessary, still, trust me, take this class, easy A

Took him for Hunan Services. He was an excellent teacher and professional. Tells great stories and teaches from the heart. Knows his stuff and the industry. ELAC is lucky to have him.
