Great teacher! Tries his best to help you out. Very understanding. He's young so he can relate better to the students. Take him for anything you can!

Lectures are a little dry, but makes sure you understand everything. Not a lot of work...just need to really study for exams. Nice guy who loves the psychology field (neuropsych).

The best professor I ever had.

Class is interesting and informative, but dry. Only MC tests, lots of memorization and regurgitation. Class less about herbal medicine and more about recreation drug use. He can be unreceptive to questions if they seem like an attack on his intelligence.

This was an interesting class. You learn alot about different types of drug. I would definitely take it again.

I went into the class knowing nothing about physiological psychology, and because Dr. Spinella was such a wonderful professor, came out of the course contemplating graduate school with emphasis in neuropsych. Dr. Spinella is awesome!!

Class talks about herbal and other common drugs. Interesting class and worth the time. He's pretty clear in explaining it. If you don't understand and ask him, he'll re-explain it. Very approachable.

very in depth with the material, you have to write constantly but he is very helpful and you come out knowing the material because its his tests

He is one of the best professors I have had at this school. His lectures are very interesting. Don't let his age fool you, he is extremely knowledgable in what he is teaching. Oh and not bad to look at either!!!!

He is an awesome teacher and is also very intelligent! His classes are so much fun and you learn a lot! His test are all from his notes and he gives amazing notes! He is also very helpful if you need it! I would take this class again!

great teacher, one of the best i've had so far...cant wait to take another one of his classes, his tests are hard, but he gives great notes so dont even read the book...i learned a lot in this class

He is such a pleasure to look at in class. He's a good professor too. Lots of notes, but all of the answers are in the notes. Just have to study. Great piece of eye candy though!!!

I had Spinella for Herbal Psychopharmocology and Addictions. Both times he was great. Nice eye candy too! The classes are extremely interesting, if you are into these sort of things. Exams follow straight from the notes, don't bother buying the books.

has a nervous tic... taps on the desk or taps chalk on board. def. knows his material. hot hot.... funny. did I mention hot?

i love this man...although he had a very large and deep wrinkle across his neck, he was still very sexy! one of the most knowledgable and sweetest professors at stockton. and he was my preceptor...dont be jealous!

Excellent class and excellent teacher. Relates everything to real world experiences. Has great stories to tell. Hard topics at times but hes always there to help. Tests are fairly easy if you read the book and go to class. :)

took Addictions over the summer. GREAT CLASS! tests come straight from the notes and you watch some good movies. Very nice/fair professor, interesting material..very intelligent! aaaand ill have to agree very handsome too!

I'm taking italian - he's easy but idk what the hell ppl are talking about - hot? not so much...hes short and has no sense of style. he's really nice and simplifies the subject matter SO much that it's boring. Take it for an easy A i guess.

If you need a psych class take Pos Psych. This class will change how you view your life...Spinella seems to be very into this subject 1 paper and 3 tests which come directly from notes...his eyes will keep your attention but the subject matter is very interesting!!

Professor Spinella is a cool guy. The lectures could get a litte boring sometimes, but they were helpful. The class consists of 3 exams (all multiple choice questions) and a paper on how to make your life happier. Study the notes and you will be fine. I definitely recommend this class, it will help you in your life!

I dont think he is hott at all. Hes weird looking to me. Hes very nice and laid back. Hes funny. Attendence not checked. 3 Tests/lowest dropped. One paper on how to change your life for the better. Watched many movies and clips. Notes all on his website. Can be boring. No book needed. Offered extra credit. A few in class assignments on the movies.

Love this class! (Mindfulness, Self, & Reality) He clearly is passionate about it which makes his lectures that much better - not to mention the class itself is very interesting. We meditate the last 15-30 minutes of class which is optional but super relaxing and I strongly recommend staying. Take this class!

There's a reason this guy's classes fill up IMMED every semester. Class is so easy. Show up, take notes, you'll be fine. MC tests. One 5 page paper. And he curves the grades. A LOT. Not bad to look at either.

This is a challenging but interesting class. You will need to study for it. The reviewer below probably isn't getting a good grade. And he is hot.

Although the material can get confusing and extremely involved prof. spinella knows how to explain things in terms you can understand. 3 tests- curves are huge and drops the lowest grade. Marcy, like from the peanuts gang ;), but seriously it is very easy to get a B and extremely hard to get an A if you are a student that is ok with a B then that's fine but if you need an A don't take Marcy. He also does not answer emails so be ware.

This was one of the best professors all you have to do is pay attention, tests were tough, but there are curves. I took Addictions in the summer one final paper you can pick whomever you want.

3 online tests. He drops the lowest grade. Tests are very diffucult, but insane curve. Id say most of the class grades are in the B range. No attendence is ever taken. Lectures are soooooo long and just read off of word doc on BB. All in all, id say take him if you want a B but if you are looking for an A, go elsewhere.

Love him. Very experienced, educated and understanding. Will take time out to explain any questions you have or help with any assignments. Not judgmental and easy to talk to.

Definitely need the book for this class. His tests revolve around all of the material in the text. The class was interesting and, albeit confusing at times, informative.

Complicated material, but he provides really good notes to explain it. Exams are tough, I ran out of time on all three with notes and readings but they are curved. Only 3 exams, 1 paper, and 6 easy writing assignments. Gives extra credit which makes up for lost points on exams. Recommend if you are interested in learning about addictions!

Professor Spinella was excellent. His online class was easy to navigate and although his exams were hard, his lecture powerpoints were very informative. He definitely knows what hes talking about.

Class only consisted of 3 exams and everything was on the lecture slides and he provided up to 10 points of extra credit. A lot of material, but very easy to pass as long as you review the lectures.

I took his online Physiological Psychology class and it was so easy. He gives you PowerPoints that go very into detail, and there are only 3 tests and an opinion thing due every week (doesn't make you do them until the end though). Also gives you up to ten extra credit points. Would definitely take him again!

Great teacher the notes are a lot of information but he breaks it down in an easy way. The tests are open notes and online. Definitely skim over the textbook because some info will be on test. His class is fun and he's personable to his students but you definitely need to put the work in to succeed.

Great professor. Only 3 exams, they are a bit hard, but they are open book so if you fail, that's on you. Plus, he curves them. Make sure to read AND watch the lectures. Homework every week, but they are not due until end of semester. Highly recommend for students with busy schedules that need a course with flexibility. Offers 10pts EC at the end.

Good teacher overall. Goes over a lot of information at once but does a nice job of explaining and making things easier to understand. If you have a question he can't answer he will look it up and let you know later. Down to earth guy. Tests are slightly hard, but curved. Just need to look over the material.

The class goes on forever. but that depends on who you have in class. Mostly going over slides in class and meditation at the end of class. Good Senior Seminar or Senior Tutorial course to take. Also, there was a paper at the end of the semester that was pretty easy.

Overall, pretty good professor. Gives extra credit. Super nice and understanding. Great examples during class. Exams are fifty questions and essays at the end of the semester. Just pay attention in class and take notes and you be fine.

I have had him for many different classes and he always curves exams which is very helpful since the information for exams could be tough. He makes his classes very easy.

I took this class online and to be honest it was quite boring. He is very detailed in his lectures but thats all it is. Lectures every zoom meeting that can be boring. But overall he is a great guy and graded easy!

I literally don't know how this class could be made easier. The exams are open book and notes, they're curved, and as long as you write two paragraphs a week the assignments are an easy 100. Really interesting class as well

This online asynchronous class was a bit challenging, mostly because I didnt read the book or slides. Multiple 2 paragraph responses needed by the end of the semester with 3 exams. Not a harsh grader. Im suprised I passed the class considering I did super terrible on all exams but he curves it.

Dr. Spinella takes a difficult class and makes it easy to understand and relate to outside of class. He has a great personality and constantly gives us stories of outside examples. He does his best to answer any questions, and if he doesn't know off the top of his head he'll say "that's a great question" and then look it up later before next class.

This class was asynchronous and required you to complete about 13 discussion posts that could be done at any time. Three tests the whole semester and interesting concepts to learn about. Overall it was a really easy class and could be finished at your own pace.

I wish all professors were like Spinella. I had him for Buddhist Psychology and his lectures were awesome. You have three tests and one paper but you mainly get to just take his his lectures which is great ! I'd highly recommend this course for a combo senior seminar and psych elective.

Took for statistical methods. Three tests + extra credit. It was his first time teaching the course so it was a bit impromptu. His tests were on the easier side. I have taken him for physiological psych and his tests were way harder. Ended class early often, and watched a few movies. Lecture heavy, and no math/ practice problems. open to questions

Take stats with him! he made it so easy. Only grades were 3 exams all curved and taken online. Highly suggest him he is so sweet and just an overall great professor and guy.

Second time taking Spinella he's awesome. Class was online over summer. Work was easy exams were a little tough but all curved. Great class great guy.

Spinella always brings a positive mood with him to class, and he cares about what he's teaching. Worth taking his course because I leave feeling like I learned something new after every class. 3 exams and 1 paper. Extra credit opportunities. Lecture heavy, but he keeps them interesting.

There are 3 exams that make up the majority of your grade, with about 10, simple homework assignments throughout the semester. He is super understanding and accommodating! If you ever need to reach him for help, he is very accessible. He is passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about what he teaches and makes the subject fun to learn!

Great professor! Very enagaging, knows his stuff and very funny. only exams, a little difficult but not impossible. Very accomidating just have to speak to him in person.

Spinella's lectures are engaging and insightful. 3 exams, 1 paper, and extra credit. Attendance is a must. The class can be lecture-heavy, but Unstuckstudy's practice quizzes helped me stay on top of the material.

He is probably one of the coolest professor on campus. He is very easy going and very chill. He does just read of the slides. 3 exam and 1 paper.

I have taken this professor 3 times (for different classes) and he is the same throughout all of them. You only do 3 exams (if you take Bud. Psych be prepared to do a 6 page paper). Overall his classes are fairly easy and lecture heavy (although attendance isn't mandatory).

I have taken 2 of his courses and I have thoroughly enjoyed both! The content is lecture heavy and somewhat difficult but there are only 3 exams that are NOT cumulative and are curved - however if you take his buddhist psyc course there is a 6 page paper. I would recommend this course for anyone who needs a senior seminar
