I took her biology class online. I felt that she was a very nice person, but I didn't receive the help I needed. Her tests were very hard. I feel that the online notes didn't reflet the test. As a lab teacher I have nothing bad to say. I feel if I had a lecture class, she would of been alright.

I took her for both semesters of bio. She was an awesome teacher. Her tests may be challangeing, but her handouts follow her lecture word for word and so do the tests. Her lectures are fun and entertaining. If you enjoy biology and have a firm grip on the subject, you should do fine. I got A's in both semesters.

Biology is a science course, therefore it requires you to study, she is not going to spoon feed you the material. If you are planning to graduate and attend a university, the science courses only get more difficult and demanding. She is one of the greatest professors I ever had, including both college and university level.

very easy...just study her notes! did this class with the partial webclass...just make sure you do each one before they are due and check it EVERYDAY!!! she posts things on there all the damn time! but not hard as long as you memorize her notes!

I took this class fully online and it was great. The midterm & final was basically answers from the online quizzes you take for each chapter, so don't forget to print them out to study from.

I took the online class, it was great. All tests are 100% of the homework. Print out the homeworks and study them and you will earn an A like I did.

Blended course meets once per week. Posts great online notes. Hard course but teaches what you need to know for pharmacy admission test. Course has lots of detail so you need to keep up and study. Tests come from homework and posted notes. Explains things well, easy to understand, follows syllabus, interesting lectures.

It's an online intro course. Do the online homework questions on time or you get no points. Puts many homework questions on exams, so print them out and study them! If you keep up, read the book, do the homework, and use the material she posts, you can get a good grade. She always answers emails quickly to explain anything you don't understand.

Good Professor, has a good sense of humor. You can't expect the professor to teach you everything in the textbook but she explains the concepts. Do online quizzes, read text and ask questions. Everything on powerpoint is on the exam.

She is a nice professor but she makes the class harder than it has to be. If your going to take this class with this prof take only this calss and maybe one other calss. I paid for a MW class but she only lectured on W, she didn't lecture on ALL chapters in a unit so you end up having to teach yourself things you don't understand.

I took her online class which was not bad. She gives quizzes for each chapter and her exams include 3-5 chapters at a time so it is imperative that you study for her exams. Exams have some questions on it from the quizzes. But overall you have to read the material to pass with an A. I wish I could have taken my own advice.

I took her lab class, and it was easy. She basically gives you the answers to all the quizzes on blackboard to study. She also has a breakdown of all the kinds of questions on the Final. The labs aren't collected, so you get an automatic 100% on all of them. The final was difficult, but only because the material was difficult. Great teacher.

She is a very good teacher. She makes things clear so you can understand it. She is very down to earth and will help you when you need it. My favorite teacher by far. I recommend this class to anyone who likes animals or needs an interesting science class.

Professor Carabelli really knows her stuff, she has a passion about Zoology, I would recommend her to anyone who needs a scinece, I learned a lot, and really enjoyed doing the web hunts.

Biology is her passion. She is fair. If you study, it will show in your grade. You must read to understand. A lot of reading, a lot of reading...we cover about 21 chapters. She guides you in preparing for the exam. The responsibility is yours. Very good teacher!

She is a pretty awesome lady. The quizzes are hard, but a you can do them more than once. Tests are difficult, but she tells you specifically what to study. Assignments are easy if you take a couple minutes to research. There were certain things she could have made a little more clear, but overall she is one of the better teachers I've had at BC.

Very, very, very nice lady. She is extremely helpful and compassionate. She is a great teacher as well. She really explains things to you and she uses verbal and visual examples to help students to understand better. Her exams are pretty easy if you study because she tells you exactly what to study. This is one awesome Biology teacher. I had her for lab and she was very, very helpful. Take her class, you won't regret it. Look, I am probaly the most honest rating that your going to find about this teacher. She is helpful in the sense that she will email you back, but it depends on what you ask for. On the final; we were given a paragraph as a study guide that read "you should already know the material and have proper study guides of your own" good luck. Study hard!

I took Prof. Carabelli for Intro Biology Winter 2012. On the contrary to what a lot of people are saying; i think she is a great Prof. I didn't get an "A" but i still passed the class. With all due fairness, I thought she was very helpful, she gave study hints and even curved to help the students that tried, in her class. Take her, but study.

I had him summer 2012 term A. I'm a straight A student and all I say is true. Horrible communication, takes long to email back. The book is your best friend. His quizzes are very helpful there freebies. Outlines don't help. Discussions are easy, make sure you follow the criteria to the t. I got an A but with that it comes with a lot of work!

This is an interesting but not easy class (the online summer version I took), but Professor Carabelli is clear about what you need to do to succeed. Lots of material on the exams. However, quizzes and discussions help with grades. Just follow her syllabus, do the work and you'll be fine.

Took this class online and liked the professor. You have to study for her exams really well. The good thing is the quizzes can be taken unlimited times and you can score a 100% on all so this helps with your grade if you don't do so well on exams. This is a great teacher if you have to take Biology. She's clear, helpful, and she doesn't trick you with questions that she doesn't go over. If you take notes and review the chapters, you'll definitely pass.

The Professor is not hard, the class is hard. This is a very intense course and you better study well if you are majoring in sciences involving biology! She does great outlines and helps to understand what is the most important to know. If you attend her lectures and pay attention to what she says you will do well. Liked her a lot; very clear.

She's a great professor, but please record her lectures and listen to them after class on your own time as she gives you many important facts that WILL be on the test, and you must do all the exam hints on the study guide and review them, also read the book and answer questions in the back.study hard and you will get an A.

Dr. Carabelli has definitely been underestimated by some previous students who have commented on her teaching skills. She explains subjects well, lectures are detailed, and exams are fair if you study for them. Like any other college course, if you put in the time you'll excel. By far one of my favorite biology professors.

Professor Carabelli is great! You have to do a lot of assignments in class, yet most of them are very easy. She answers if you have any questions through email. She grades fairly and let you know your missed points in assignments.

The only thing is it IS an online course, so if you're not prepared to do work and research things on your own then don't take an online course. I thought her online structure was excellent. She has one discussion per unit (4 units total). One assignment and one quiz per chapter (10 chapters). Her unit lessons were all I needed to complete the task, the book was unnecessary really. For every test I followed her exam guide and studied and I did very well. I highly recommend this class.

She is a great teacher! She helped to make sure you understood what was being taught and was always there for your questions.

She is super passionate about animals & Zoology, which makes the class that much more interesting because she actually cares about what she is teaching. The content was interesting & fun to learn. Yes, some of the information was more difficult to understand, but just ask ?'s, use her study guides, study, & you will be fine. I enjoyed her class!

Professor Carabelli was awesome! I like the way she teaches; everything was clear and she had many resources for her students. The zoology class was a lot of remembering but nothing completely hard. I'm glad that she was the professor because the class could have been way harder or different. Professor Carabelli is great!!

Carabelli is a great zoology professor :) She does amazing lectures, gives personal insight on certain species of animals (from experience and how they move, and so on), and simplifies all of the readings with notes before a test. I didn't go in person much, but still manage to pull an A (because I read everything). Lots of reading required!

She was inspirational. I will not forget it when she took me aside and asked why are you taking this class? My response was I'm thinking about applying to medical school. She then followed with conviction, "you will be one". I graduated medical school in 2009 and will always think of her as one of those special professors that love what they do.

This course requires work and I was able to take test through proctor U. This teacher was willing to help if you ask for it. Very good professor

You will need to read a LOT, so if you are not prepare for it, don't take her. Online lab and assignments aren't that hard, you must follow all the guidelines. There are four tests plus the final, but she'll drop the test with the lowest score. (NOT THE FINAL). Lectures are really helpful. Overall, she is a nice professor, yet quite strict.

Professor Carabelli has been an inspiration to me though that her courses were really tough to me. I appreciate her for providing online material that assists to maintain a high grade. If you are not into medical fields , please don't take her class because you would not want to blame the teacher for the expectations of the grades or homework.

You get to do 4 exams and a final but one of the four is dropped . She provides extra credit at the end of the course to assist u with your grade. The material is tough, you need to study. She is a great teacher and I had her for three classes. Expect to be prepared for the tests because this course is serious for your entrance exams. Best teacher.

She definitely definetly makes you work for it, this is what I did to pass with an A I read every single page in the book,took note for every chapter, took lecture notes. Her Zoology class is great! She provides us with her own written lecture notes on dtl !!and guides us on what is to be expected on the test. NOTHING IS A SECRET! What more can you ask for? this is college and you must read.

I took Professor Carabelli for ZOO2010 and she's very passionate about what she teaches. A lot of information to get down but fairly easy if you study. STUDY. Tests are pretty straight forward. Awesome professor. If you need a science credit and if you love animals, this is the class for you.

She is one of my favourite professor. She is fair, and really want the students to be success. To be honest, this class is a lot of materials, and most of you whom register for this class is either in pre-med program, or pre-pharmacy. So, you should prepare yourself for all of the materials that would help you for MCAT, and PCAT.

Pretty fair instructor, lots of material and mostly power point. The online quizzes are a nice point to redeem yourself. My class was the first time for this program, so understandably had some flaws. She is a pretty nice person to talk to, very knowledgeable in her area of expertise.

It felt like there was so much info to take in, in such a short amount of time. She doesn't waste time, and thankfully she posts EVERYTHING on d2l so it makes it much easier to study. She uses PowerPoint slides and video to keep it interesting.

Amazing professor. Half online and half in class, attendance is not mandatory, but you receive points at the end for showing up. Suuuper easy tests, you don't have to study long. She gives powerpoints with exam hints that are really helpful. 10/10 would take her again

This is my second year taking professor carabelli, and while I admit she can be rather blunt at times and does not round up grades, she is still a caring professor that cares about your success and I have always enjoyed her lectures. If you talk to her about your concerns she is very kind and well help you out. but do study hard for the exams!

I loved professor Carabelli, she gives very detailed study guides for exams so you can know what to, and not to, study. she allows open book for quizzes and offers great feedback and extra credit if you are struggling. i truly loved this class and the way she taught it.
