I always done well in math, but she managed to erase even the things that I knew. She is the worst teacher I ever had. Tests are very hard!

My lowest possible recommendation. I've had my share of poor teachers, but she takes the cake. Not only incompetent in the teaching phase, she also excels in grading extremely unfairly and testing concepts left unmentioned by both the book and herself. If that and torture in general sounds appealing, definitely take her class.

Terrible teacher, this semester she missed 6 classes and failed to give the substitutes a clear guide of what she wanted. She is consistently 9 minutes late to class and often does not bring all the papers she needs. She is unwilling to help students with their grades if they have a problem with mymathlab. Don't take her class, she should be fired.

WORST TEACHER EVER! I took her class online - she didnt help w/ anything - took a week to asnwer emails. Homework had nothing to do with text book, even though that was the only thing she taught from. She said we had 2 tries on each quiz and changed her mind mid semester. It took me 3 weeks to get my final grade and 2 months to get my graded work.

She explains material like she is speaking to her co- workers, all in math terms. Very strict on absecenses, doesn't give useful homework, doesn't go over homework. Test material are not the 0132191415same from pratice sheet. You will be teaching yourself through the whole semester, if math isn't your strongest subject don't committ suicide on your

She should change her career, not a good teacher dosen't translate well. The book and my math lab is the only thing you will learn from, self thought class. Spends to much time on one topic and it doesn't even show up that much on test. You will be behind other classes through the whole semester. Homework is not setup to help,just to challenge her.

Very Bright, but not a great instructor. Math lab 100% with not prior notice or regularity. Very hard test grades just as hard. THE PACE IS A FAST AS SHE CAN WRITE ON THE BOARD..Very little time for explanations.

Took it online with her-- big mistake. I am an A student. I did well on quizzes and homework... failed every test. How is that possible you may ask? Her tests are impossible. If you're going to make the tests that hard, the HW should be too. Consistency is good.

I have been an A+ student my whole life. Math has never been my favorite, but I was never bad at it. I've had so many problems with this course and her. I have emailed her multiple times and NEVER a reply. She lectures 500 miles a minute and she splits as soon as class is over. I needed this class to graduate too and it's screwed everything up.

I understood all the material and studied so hard for the test. i got the results and didnt do as well as i thought. Ms. Marci Collins really picked out everything she possibly could. She said she was in the Military and I think that's great, but ignoring e- mails only shows her poor skills as a College professor. I believe she is missing empathy towards her students. this was the worst class ever. Never checks emails, expects ou to know the material and shows no sympothy to help you out at all. Failing this class is nothing new she does not give 100 percent at all.

Wouldnt recommend to anyone. I took her class in summer and half of class dropped. I sent multiple e-mails and she never responded. At first, she seemed very nice and helpful, but the pages we need werent even available. only way we knew when a test was after someone finding documents. Very Very hard online class. If you are not good or does not like math, DO NOT TAKE IT ONLINE with her!!! I've turned in many assignments so far and i dont even know my grade, completly clueless!! She knows her work but does not care, emails arent being returned, we never hear from her. You will be on your own. Good luck if you take her online!

Don't take her online! She will not reply to e-mails and she wonders why the entire class drops out... On your own if you take this class. I give anyone ton of credit if you can get even a B with her

I regret taking this class. Exams are so much more harder then the homework, she takes forever to respond to emails. Exam and final exam were held within the same week. This class will cause headaches and tears.

Very excited to take this course, minoring in math. No response until the last 2 weeks, nothing was graded until the 5th week of a 6 week course. WebAssign online software was worthless. Written problem sets and tests, pretty much pointless to take online. Tests had questions with missing information and ambiguous terms not presented in lecture

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! I've never had a teacher so bad. She gives close to 500 problems per section and is not clear at all. She will tell you one thing and turn around and do another. I wish I would have read the reviews because I've never struggled so much in a class

She has a horrible habit of writing problems down on the board for the students to complete, however, she always just solves it herself on the board and out loud before we can write it down. Also, we weren't made aware of our grades until less than 3 weeks of the course. She didn't post them online. Just terrible. I wouldn't recommend her at all.

She gave us like 500 problems for each section of the chapter. We never used the textbook. It was the hardest math class I have ever taken. If you miss one class, you will be behind. Definitely become friends with others in the class if you take this class. You will definitely appreciate it in the long run.

She doesn't give out grades, doesn't let you know how you're progressing in the class. Horrible Professor just does problems on the board without any student interaction. A lot of pop quizes. she just does problems on the board and has a horrible habit of leaving the class and not coming back for a long period of time. She is always late 5 min or more and she will bust in the class write 3 problems then be gone for 30 minutes ! Not kidding! She has gone to subway on campus and come back during class. This teacher was horrible. She was always late and left the classroom for like a half an hour every class to get coffee. She rarely gave us our grades and frequently lost homework that was turned in. DO NOT take her class.

I had Professor Collins this semester and she was terrible. She didn't give enough examples and didn't slow down for everyone to grasp what she was saying. Also, she never had an update grade, you could be failing an wouldn't even know it. I use to be really good at math but she made it hard to understand. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

Spring for Math 137. You will bag to get a grade up to date. In addition, she never helps. Whatever homework you are sent home with, it is totally different from what you were able to learn in class. Her exams are very different from the review. When it comes to her office hours do not bother. She is not there for you.

You will do a few examples in class. Good amount of MyLab Hw. Graded homework is a few notches harder than what is done in class. She is just not very good at getting the steps across. Seems like a cool person tho!

If you want to pass do not take class with this professor. It was so hard keeping up with her class in person and now everything is online and she never puts in grades. I was forced to drop the class because my grade would not change. I would reach out to her constantly and rarely get a response. She doesn't care about your success only hers.

She isnt really a good teacher point blank period. Tons of homework week in and week out. The stuff she teaches in class rarely helps for exams. She barely responds to emails and is a late grader. If youre not understanding her lecture shell just keep going and not help. Would not recommend this class for nobody unless youre already math savy

If you have the option of taking her class, dont. Shes the absolute worst professor Ive ever had. She doesnt teach anything, you spend hours upon hours doing homework and tests. She doesnt reply to emails or grade anything in a timely manner. She gives you your test and then leaves and goes home. Started with 30 students down to 12.

Downright the most terrible professor I have encountered in my 3 semesters as a college student. She is rude and demeaning. She makes everything very complicated and provides an overwhelming amount of assignments. If you can, DON'T TAKE HER.

DONT GET THIS PROFESSOR. When i asked questions it was an inconvenience for her. Everything she said she gave a short answer but was only nice when told i didn't move on to the 137 class �� she is ignorant and will easily put you in a bind when it comes to financial aid ... so i would highly suggest you not get her at all.

I would never select this Professor! She is rude, demeaning, and cares about her success only. She takes weeks to put in grades, and when she does I bet it wont be what you assumed! She takes off points for literally everything!

Had issues where I emailed her and didnt get ANY response back even after seeing that shes active. I was given a 0.83 out of 1 point for a task that needed me to open a website. Also takes 3 weeks or so to grade assignments and is super strict about any mistakes like accidentally uploading the wrong paper. Overall made my experience terrible.

Awful. Considering withdrawing class. Will pick on you out of surprise and if you dont answer all times, she marks you absent. Tests are 48% of your final grade. Everything else doesnt matter. has a horrible attitude, not only is she a tough grader but she does not have a flexible schedule and takes several days to grade papers. She is very impatient and moves from topic to topic very quickly. She assigns many quizzes right after learning about a new topic and it is hard to keep up with her. i do not recommend her to anyone at all.

No late work or re-dos. Her tone is very condensending. We have to print out everything, and she is not clear on anything. She solves problems horizontally??? All her work is due close together you have no time to breathe. I don't think my grade will ever go up.

Do not waste your time with this professor. Dropped due to grade uncertainty. Assignments and tests from almost a month ago still not graded. She is very difficult to contact, and unprofessional in her responses. Tests are much more difficult than practice/homework assignments. Very difficult to reach via email and does not grade things in a timely manner, 2 problems that are annoying with an in-person class, and straight-up sabotaging in an online class.

If I could give this professor a 0, I would. Take this is your warning and me begging you to choose literally anyone else if you can. She is very condescending, unhelpful, horrible at communication, and is overall just a bad professor. She doesn't take her job seriously and it's not like these courses are free for us!! Professor Marci Collins' online math class was a nightmare. A very tough grader, offers zero explanations, and ignores urgent emails. I was on the verge of failing because of her lack of support. On top of that, she made me waste money on Uber rides to the main campus for tests, only to be unable to test everytime. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

She's not available if you need help and takes a long time to reply to emails. She's incredibly difficult to get a read on and has poor communication skills to boot.

Literally wants you to fail... Won't answer emails requires you to show up to office hours if you even have a question no matter if you have other classes at the same time. Harsh grader with no explanation. Literally told us that no one in the entire class had above a 60%. Dont take her trust me.

The worst experience I have had with a college professor in my entire life. No communication (does not respond to emails, does not message the class to give updates or announcements), has not graded assignments from 4 weeks ago, did not follow the syllabus whatsoever, and does not provide feedback on exams. Almost felt improvisational. Terrible.

HORRIBLE. Will never take her class ever again. The worst experience of my life. She doesn't respond to emails/messages. She says we won't go over things but then they end up on the test. She has given me so much anxiety regarding this class, it's horrible. I can't believe I'm paying for this course to be treated like this.

Lectures and notes are okay. She's unorganized and will lose your papers/grades. Lacks communication, can be disrespectful, and has no time management. Difficult to please, hard grader. She is adamant about attendance, assignments must be turned in when she asks or won't take them, even if it's a few minutes late. Tests rely heavily on homework.

Extremely frustrating to deal with. Tough grader. She makes you turn in notes worth 1 point. If they are not detailed to her liking she gives you partial credit. I don't recommend taking her. I do not feel like I learned anything to prepare me for the midterm and final.

Me personally, I wouldn't take this professor again. The tests are weighted heavily and are almost the entire weight of your grade. She is very difficult to contact outside of class and is not very good with canvas or any online things. The way she has us submit paper assignments often didn't work and would negatively affect your grade.

Professor Collins was awful at responding to any questions. My class was an accelerated class over the winter break. I knew there was going to be a lot of work, but she gave zero feedback. She would take weeks to respond to a question, if she would even respond. I felt like I was teaching myself. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I took Prof. Collins's Stewart in an online class and it wasn't great. She takes long to grade and respond to messages. When she answered my email they were always super vague and didn't really answer my questions. She also graded my midterm on the day of the final what was super unfortunate since it would have been useful no know what to study

If I'm being very honest do not take this class for you own good. She is an insanely late grader, doesn't help you when you ask for help and post modules with old videos that show you how to do the course material, which is unhelpful especially if you value 1 on 1 time to learn and someone who can actually help you understand what's at hand.

Throughout the course lessons/material were never loaded into Canvas. When asked for them I was told "they're in the online textbook" which didn't match her class schedule. Grades took forever, points deducted for irrelevant things. Whole course rides on 4 poorly planned tests and if you do poorly on one there's no shot of coming back and passing.

As a math instructor, this professor lacks attention to detail which is imperative with any online or hybrid course. Poor communication skills. Does not respond to emails. Lots of small mistakes on syllabus ie- conflicting or old dates. Redudant assignments. Not friendly. Course and her students are not a priority. Avoid at all costs if you can.

I spent at least 8 hours a day on this class. She took almost two weeks to grade our first test, her instructions for discussion posts are not clear, and she picks and chooses when she wants to respond to you and when she does write you back in an email, it is very unprofessional.

I took MAT-151 as an asynchronous online summer class to receive High School Credit. Prof. Collins-Stewart is very disorganized on canvas, assignments did not follow the schedule given out, with due dates being very different; it took forever for tests and practice sets to be graded (3 weeks+) and she did not respond to emails in a timely manner.

This professor is very disorganized she keeps changing what tests are out of. She has barely graded any assignments. She's not a good communicator, it takes days to get in touch with her. She didn't give a study guide before one of the tests and then posted it after the test was due and gave me no apology or accountability for it not being posted.
